Working with Arthur's was challenging because of communication. I called and they said they'd call to let me know when the tech was scheduled. This was at 10:00 a.m. Now, I'm at work. I am not sure if I need to come home and wait or what so communication is important. By 1 I wasn't sure if anyone was coming, if I should call someone else, or should I head home? So I called them. She said someone would be by around 5 and that ended up being accurate. Jim said I needed a pump. He'd call around for parts in the morning and let me know how much it would be and when he could do it. He didn't call. I called the office at 9:30. She had no clue. A little while later, Jim shows up. He still hasn't given me a price. He did the work quickly and the bill was $1800. I'm looking at another review from 3 years ago where they were charged $1500. :/ Inflation? Anyway, the communication was not great. I didn't have the opportunity to ask anyone else about the price, so I'm not sure if that was great, but my septic pump was fixed in two days. read more

No show, no call with message left. I waited around ALL DAY, and started calling after they were "late," and I finally got through to someone at nearly 5 pm, and I was told that they'd decided this morning NOT to go out on calls, because it was raining, yet NO ONE took the time to call me and leave a message about this, so this cost me a day of waiting for someone who never came and a day of lost wages, which is greater than the price I would have paid to have the septic pumped. THEN, on top of that, they told me to "call them back in the morning to reschedule." Are you serious? Not happening. I fired them and contacted another company. Do NOT use this company. Their communication is pathetic and I cannot understand how they're even in business. read more

Top notch family business. Much more reasonable than the other two companies i talked to, who quoted $1500+ for a septic pump and inspection. Arthur's was able to do it for half that. Plus, they were great to work with-- I'm a local real estate agent and they taught me a lot about septic tanks! Professional, prompt and courteous! Another similar business didn't return our call even after leaving voicemail! Our initial inquiry was meet expeditiously. Able to schedule soon after our first call. The technician was able to arrive early which was an added bonus! He provided great service and gave a thorough explanation of our septic system. Had a hard time getting ahold of them but they answered eventually they gave a date for them to come out. We called to confirm the day before to make sure they were coming. They never showed up and never even bothered to call us. We called 9 times over the next week and they didn't answer or when they did they would hang up on us. We left multiple messages and they never called back. Finally got ahold of the 2 weeks later and all the receptionist had to say was "they couldn't make it". Absolutely zero complaints. They returned my email. Then, later, my call. Then, later, initiated a call to pump after I had told them I was obtaining the location of the septic tank from the county (actually before the county returned the information, hah!) Definitely a local family-inclusive business, for which I have huge respect. Ricky and Drew did a site visit and consultation for free, then later a very competitively priced septic cleaning over a long lunch break for me. Called when asked, again, for the cleaning. One of the best family own company I have ever dealt with. They're very professional and respectful of your property. The lightening struck my utility pole. I called Arthur's septic services, they came on time, checked everything out and started my system was ok. I wanted to pay them they told me no charge.
