We used this company for a septic inspection. After several emails telling them the time they needed to show up they completely ignored the request. Then upon arrival the drivers found out they didn't have enough hose on the truck and called the owner, who told them to back the truck into the yard without asking permission of the home owner. It had rained the night before so when they tried to drive the septic truck out, it got stuck and tore up the grass in the yard. They had to call a tow truck service to pull them out of the yard. After speaking with the owner of the company he admitted it was a "Dumb A**" decision and would come back and repair the lawn. After not receiving the report for 3 days we contacted them. After a heated discussion the owner said "find another company" and hung up. After that he agreed to sending the report and said he already made repairs which must have been his workers raking the mud and grass back into place. I was told he would come back with seed and straw and make sure it was done right. THEN, he sends a threatening email and says this is the first he's heard of any damage. He refused to provide the inspection report and refused to show any proof he repaired the damaged lawn. He is being reported to DPOR for unethical practices and causing damage to a property and refusing to repair. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOTE: His employee was very respectful and apologetic and understood everyone's frustration. The owner was the primary problem and refused to cooperate in any way. read more

Our septic pump failed yesterday (Sunday) so we called Moore's plumbing on the recommendation of a family member. The two guys that showed up today quickly diagnosed the problem (pump was installed incorrectly by a different company eight years ago and a pipe attached to the pump finally broke) and had it fixed in no time. They were very polite and got the job done. We definitely recommend their services. read more

Update: The owner has continued to send harassing texts to me after I posted my review. She has called me a liar multiple times in these texts. I told her to stop texting me or I would contact my lawyer, and she continued to text me so I blocked her. Her final text to me before I blocked her stated "You are harassing us by posting lies on the internet. No one is harassing you. How about I contact my lawyer about you trying to give our business a bad name for no reason. And how are you going to text me after you just threatened me to not contact you again? You need to get a life." Here is my review of their company: I'm not really sure what happened, but their customer service quickly deteriorated over the span of 2 weeks. At first, the person who answered the phone (Chris) did a great job of answering my questions and then scheduling an appointment. Their technician arrived at the scheduled time and diagnosed the issues with our bathtubs and sink, and fixed the sink during the visit. However, after that visit, things got progressively worse in terms of customer service. I got a text from a number I didn't recognize asking me for the code on the back of my card. She explained that she was with Moore's Plumbing, and that the person who visited our house forgot to get the code and she needed it to complete the transaction for the minor issue that he fixed that day. I am not sure why she didn't call me and instead decided to text, but I'm not going to send my CVV code through text to someone I've never spoken with. I sent a text to Chris since we had spoken on the phone, and asked him about this. He said that they would just take care of it when they came out to make the remaining repairs. I then asked him to tell me in writing which repairs needed to be made as well as how much the cost would be. His response was simply "Replace the tub waster". That was it. No mention of the cost, and no mention of the other issues that we had originally asked them to investigate. I responded "What is the price? Is that the only repair?" And he responded with a price range, but didn't answer my question about whether or not that was the only repair. I then asked "Is that for both bathtubs?" And he responds "Sorry wrong person. Give me a few I apologize". That was the last I heard from him. No follow-up text, no email, no phone call. Several days later, I sent a text to the person who asked me about the CVV code (Victoria) and explained that I tried to reach out to Chris to get a quote and that he didn't give me much information, then told me that he was thinking about a different customer, and then he never got back to me. She told me that he's been busy and that I should just call him. She also said "As for the payment, Leroy not only forgot to get the three digit code but he left off the first number of the whole credit card number" I told her that they did not seem very organized, and that they need a CRM to securely input customer info such as credit card numbers. I figured that she would take some responsibility for the fact that they didn't take down our credit card information properly and just tell me that they would look into a more secure and reliable system. Instead, she said "I can't help that Leroy didn't double check his work. We do need a better system in place but it's not your place to tell us how to run our business and be so rude...I'm also a full time nurse who works night shift and you are texting multiple times in a row just to insult me." The only thing I said that could be remotely considered an insult is telling her "it doesn't sound like you guys are very organized" which isn't an insult, it's just been my experience after spending 5 days trying to pay our first invoice and get a quote for the rest of the work which has been far more difficult than it should be. I told her "I'm sorry you feel that way" and we would find someone else for these repairs. Be careful if you say something to her that she doesn't like, because she could react the same way she did to me. read more

I requested a receipt from them 5 times! They told me they would send it. I have never received it. I got tired of asking. Also, it snowed the day they put in my septic box. They left the huge truck in my yard. I still have huge tire tracks embedded in my yard. They did good work, but do not clean up or level ground when done. read more

I called Chris and was able to get an appt the next day. I had David come out and help me with my plumbing problem. He was very helpful, kind and explained things as he diagnosed the problem I was having with my water leak. I would highly recommend them for your plumbing problems. read more

We started having problems with our septic and my husband spoke with Chris today at Moores plumbing and he quoted us a price and was at our home within a couple hours. He and his crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Once he arrived he found the problem to be more severe than expected but he honored his original quote. I'm not one to do reviews or complain but totally disappointed in this business. Six weeks of "I'm coming over next week" and never showing up and no phone call to say he wasn't. Very unprofessional. The last straw was this past weekend. Chris was to come over Thursday or Friday to do a job and he never showed. I called him and he said he was coming Saturday to complete. He never showed. Called again and he said he would be over. He never showed up. We had to retrieve our keys and pass. I personally would not recommend this guy based on my experience. Very frustrating! read more

CON MAN THIEF....Chris Moore promised a quick repair of my distribution box but required a cash deposit of $600 to get stated. He followed me to my house and collected his $600. For 6 weeks I heard every excuse for not completing the job. He never started. After he told me he was waiting for a permit I went to the Fluvanna Health Department where they told me they had never heard of him and he had no contractors license to boot. I eventually had to hire another contractor who did a great job but have not heard from Moore's Plumbing. He quit responding and kept the $600. read more
