Slice of pizza with 3 toppings- basil, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts
Calvin K.

Small to go place with friendly family atmosphere service and where else can you get a delicious slice of pizza with 3 toppings for $4.90 tax included. Best value lunch in the neighborhood!

Meatball Sandwich
Peter F.

Was craving a meatball sandwich so of course I got on yelp and this place popped up and the name looked familiar. So drive over, parking was easy and walked in. A very nice friendly atmosphere and great energy. I ordered a meatball sandwich with mozzarella cheese and just sat waiting. Of course talked about food while waiting, I mean what else is there to talk about. Ok so the place had all the good food smells and I was really hungry after a long run in a local park. Ok my order was ready really quick and the price was reasonable and couldn't wait to get home and check it out. Um my car had all the great smells, I should get this as an air freshener ok got home took my sandwich out of the container and threw it in a plate and dug in. The bread was great it had a little toasted crunch. Ok here we go the meatballs where the perfect size and when I bit in I tasted all my favorite fresh meatball flavors. This isn't one of those premade frozen meatballs. It was amazing. I'm definitely going back soon but may try the eggplant parmigiana yum. 5 thumbs up

Pastrami Sandwich
Jeremy L.

We've driven past this place for years and finally tried it out. I'd say it's good restaurant quality italian food without the hassle or up charge of a restaurant. Pastrami Sandwich (5): This was an awesome sandwich. Plenty of thinly sliced pastrami on a crispy and chewy roll and smothered with cheese. The mustard sauce brought a really nice contrasting flavor to the sandwich. I'm a fan of hot sandwiches and this one didn't disappoint. Chicken Marsala (4): This dish was very good as well just not my favorite. The mushrooms were a nice touch and the pasta and chicken were cooked properly. Nothing really popped for me on this dish but it was done well with decent flavor. They say they have the best pizza in the south bay. We'll have to test that out on our next visit.

Is your food take out only, or do you have indoor seating also?

There was a small table to the side which 2 people could sit at but I've seen employees using it before. This location is really geared for to-go.

Somebody was celebrating graduations, there was birthdays there was a baseball team overall just a really busy restaurant. Nothing notable about the ambience overall just comfortable place for a very, just like family, friendly Restaurant vibe. I have the burrata caprese and I think it could use more balsamic I mean burrata is burrata so it was fantastic. The tiny tomatoes throw me off a little bit for but like in general everything was delicious.. My friend ordered the lasagna which I was a little bit envious of after I saw it. It's a huge portion and it's absolutely fantastic.. I had the night special, which is chicken piccata, which was overall very lovely buttery lemon and tangy could've used a little bit more pasta, and the broccoli was cooked really well in general lovely. We share the tiramisu for dessert and I really can't complain. I think it could've been a little bit more punchy when it came to the coffee in the rum, but it was still really good. And General service was great. They were really busy so it wasn't anything too frequently and the manager or the owner checked in on the tables and I'm happy that we went here..

Negative.. -Penne Asparagi was delicious with mushrooms, asparagus, sauce and penne pasta. Also had ther italian chopped salad which is good, but not as good as the past. - Butternut Squash Ravioli was ok, it had way too much cheese and overshadowed the squash. This is also a $2.00 upcharge. Also had ther pear gorgonzola salad which is great. - Bread that is served with the meal is soft and a stand out star, delicious! Service and decor are nice as well.

UPDATE! We came…read moreback about a month later to celebrate Hubbers' birthday, but the experience wasn't the same. I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!

It's a bit dim lighting, but comfortable seating and booths. This is also probably not a restaurant you bring your kids to. That said, we brought our kids to this restaurant since it was a family birthday celebration . Service: our waiter was attentive, but didn't give us much guidance or introduce himself to our table. I ended up asking him for his name and some guidance and recommendations. Maybe he's just used to a lot of regulars that know what they want to order already? They also took away some plates without asking, before we fully finished them, which I didn't love. Food: the food was pretty darn good! They were pretty flexible and were able to grill some asparagus upon our request. The pesto gnocchi was fantastic! I would say that having fresh cracked pepper on it would make it even better or at least the offering of that. The octopus I got was pretty good, but could have a little bit more flavoring. The margherita pizza was good for the kids and for the adults. Getting a side of truffle oil or olive oil was great for the crust. We got the charcuterie plate, but I wouldn't recommend it. It didn't really seem thought out and looked very minimal. Definitely not impressive. It did the job for my kids since my kids love deli meat and cheese. Because of the quality of the food and ambience, I would definitely come again!

I just remember waiting quite a long time since the house was packed on a Friday evening. Came today (also on a Friday evening), and they asked if we made a reservation, which felt silly because the restaurant was basically empty! Joined the waitlist anyways, we were the first in line, and they seated us like a minute later. I love the ambiance and bistro feel, especially the caligraphy on the walls and the open kitchen. The lights were flickering a bit, and it was slightly stuffy as well. The menu is designed beautifully; everything was designed to point to the food, pique interest. The Uni Truffle pasta was ok; couldn't make out either uni or truffle flavors, but it tasted great. It did leave a profound fishy aftertaste in my mouth though. From the one bite I had, I liked the Yuzu Peperoncino better; perfect balance of umami, tang, and spice. I remember appreciating the al dente noodles then, and I still appreciate it now. On the pricier side, I really do wish bread was offered (the only bread on the menu being $6 garlic bread for two slices). Great date spot, would come again for special occassions. Keep it up!

Definitely needs salt and pepper but the pepper shakers barely let anything out. I asked for parm (they do not offer!) and they gave it in plastic individual containers which was honestly offensive. Dessert was a huge miss, the creme brûlée was super eggy???? The tiramisu had like a sour milk after taste. My stomach immediately hurt before even leaving the restaurant. I WISH I LEFT A BIGGER TIP! .. and I hate tipping!…read more We just came back from Italy and had an amazing time there with the food we tried. Fatto a Mano sells pasta and pizza that takes us right back to Italy. If we ever miss that country, then this is the only place we have to go to satisfy any nostalgia. Marco is such an amazing host. He makes everything from scratch and is up front with how long it'll take for him to make your food. We got there right when it opened and the place filled up quickly. But he still made time to ask for our names and check in on us frequently. You can tell the customers love him because so many people came in and talked to him like they had known him for years. We got the carbonara and Estiva. The carbonara was perfect. Just like the way they make it in Italy. Al dente with the sauce perfectly integrated with the noodles. Generous with the ingredients and a flavor explosion with every bite. The Estiva is a pizza with basil pesto, yellow tomato confit, and "fior di latte' mozzarella. All I'll say is that it was delicious and any one who likes pesto needs to try this. Now, why do I wish I left a bigger tip? The delicious food would be enough but it was Marco! He addressed us by name every time he passed by. The most memorable aspect was when we were getting up to leave. He loudly said if we could please wait 5 minutes so that he could give us gelato for free! He was making it fresh as well so his machine needed some time. It was delicious! We threw our trash away and started to walk out, but then he told us to wait so that he could give us gelato again! I told him he already gave some to us and then he said we needed more... and that he insisted because "it is like 1000 degrees outside!"
