Natalie, who manages the restaurant, is honestly the best part of the experience. My kids are pain in the butts and are picky about their chicken tenders. They can't be too crispy. Natalie nailed it on the first try. thank God. So many places can't get that right, but she clearly pays attention and genuinely cares about getting orders correct. Desperate for a quick deli sandwich because Little French Bakery was closed unexpectedly!!! Ordered a sandwich, requested Italian dressing and whole peppers . No potato chips only Doritos were sold. My husband and I had an EXCELLENT experience at Pedone's in Redondo Beach this evening. My order was taken by Grace, who was very welcoming and friendly. We had shared a sausage and mushroom pizza which was served piping hot and delicious. The amount of toppings was perfect and so flavorful. Even the crust had a wonderful crunch to it and very tasty. I watched the pizza makers working 'behind the scenes' and they were non-stop busy creating all types of pizzas, sandwiches and salads. I believe one other employee at the counter was Natalie (?) who was also very pleasant. Spotless restaurant with high top tables and a tv to catch up on the latest. Very good experience. Today I got the large bbq chicken pizza!! Called it in and it was ready in about 20 mins which is pretty quick given that this place is always crowded with young adults and beach goers. The pizza was delicious, plenty of chicken and not overly sauced as some places tend to get carried away with the bbq sauce! We been coming here for about 15 years and I am so happy that they haven't changed their ingredients or recipes!! read more

Service was friendly. The pepperoni pizza was really greasy but tasty. It hit the spot. It was similar to my experiences while living in NY. It's a small shop in the riviera village. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Bottom line: I would go back if I was in the area and felt like pizza. I wouldn't make a special trip here though. read more

Went in for lunch with hopes of getting a small pasta dish. To my surprise, they don't have à la cart meals or 1/2 orders. So, I ordered a full order, paid full price. Told her I didn't need the salad. Basically, cannot eat that much food! Ate what I could, sat inside as she proceeded to clean/dust the lights over the tables. Finished what I could, 1/4 of the pasta. Packed it up and threw the rest in the trash. Such a waste!!! So disappointed!!! read more

I have been going to Pedones since I was in high school and I'm so sad that their service has gone downhill. I called to place an order for a gathering I was having at the beach and gave them the address to deliver it to and verified that they would be able to deliver to said address and I asked that they deliver it about an hour and a half after I made the call. 15 minutes before delivery I get a phone call confirming the delivery address. After maybe trying to tell them the correct address no less than 10 times, they tell me that the address is actually NOT in their delivery area. I specifically asked when placing the order and they said they could. Turns out the girl taking the order may have written the address incorrectly. I asked where they are able to deliver it to and had they called me even 10 minutes prior, I would have been able to have them deliver to my home which was within their delivery area. Since it was for a planned gathering, I asked if I could perhaps pay a little extra to have them deliver because with 15 minutes before they were due to be delivered, I wouldn't have enough time to place an order somewhere else. It would have literally been an extra 5-7 minute drive and considering it was due to their error, it would have been nice if they would have delivered as promised. The girl on the phone tells me they're too busy and that they can't drive the extra 5-7 minutes even with compensation for their time. She's also rude and tells me that they're super busy and she has people lining up in store and pretty much doesn't offer any sort of solution to fix their mistake. I suppose this is what happens when a business doesn't even have online ordering or any information about said delivery range info available on their website. Any of the other pizza places we usually frequent have information on delivery range etc. I wouldn't recommend getting delivery from this place, their service is not reliable and they seem really disorganized. I came to this place after a recommendation from a family member. It's small, with a good variety of items to choose from. I got the BBQ pizza and wings, the pizza is thin and well cooked, the tangy flavor of the bbq sauce gives a great balance to the chicken and onions, the wings were dried and nothing to get excited, overall the friendly service and great pizza made my experience a good one. Been wanting to try this place for years as it's often busy, while it was good it wasn't anything impressive. Definitely reminds me more of a family joint that would be nostalgic but the pizza itself was pretty standard. The dough is quite thin so it was a little difficult to pick up and the pizza a bit greasy. I thought it was yummy but honestly didn't taste of too much. The dough, sauce and cheese didn't have any noticeable flavor, and their ranch also was thinner. It took awhile for them to make the single slices and it wasn't too busy when we went. PARKING: Parking in this area is a little tough in general. I've only been here once so I'm not too familiar with the parking situation, but be prepared for street parking. WHAT I ORDERED: Slice with pineapple and ham THE PIZZA: Pretty standard for a casual pizza spot. I'm not a pizza connoisseur, but it definitely hit the spot. Nothing was really a red flag but nothing stood out either. The crust was pretty standard and the toppings were plentiful. SERVICE: The service was average. They weren't as over the top nice as other places but not sure that really matters for a place like this. VIBES: Pretty small. There's some seating inside but we ended up sitting outside since the weather was nice. Good for friends or even a date but I wouldn't bring a huge group. Good NY style pizza! What makes the pizza is the quality of cheese - not something cheap which alters some taste of other pizza places and the pepperoni is really good too. They also give you the perfect amount of toppings :) It's a great place up when you want to grab just a slice. Although it's always crowd , always lots of teens hanging out so except a little wait . Well it's a hit & miss as sometimes when I've gone the wait is super long and sometimes they are fairly quick but honestly since they are super busy all the time you should expect that you will need some patience. Several years ago it was my go to place but in recent years the crust has deteriorated in quality and it seems like the ingredients have been skimped on. They should revisit how they were doing their pizza and also get feedbacks from frequent customers. I'm pretty sure they are still loved by the locals in Redondo. I got the lunch combo that cost around eight or nine dollars and it came with a slice of pizza, a salad, and a drink. You also had the option to get two slices of pizza instead of the salad. The salad had nice ingredients and very fresh lettuce but besides the dressing... I got ranch... Lacking in flavor a bit, what threw me off was to my surprise there was bacon chunks in the salad. As a person who does not consume meat and could have easily ate that, I was pretty thrown off. But I was starving so I just pulled the bacon out and went about eating my salad. This place has the most awesome NY pizza! The crust is super thin and crispy, and the pepperoni pizza is cheesy and salty. It's a little bit too salty, but otherwise it's just the way I like it. The wait is a little unorganized and chaotic, so keep in mind the wait can be a lot longer than what they quote you on the phone. We ordered on the phone, was told 25minutes. We got there about 20 minutes later, and was told another 5-10minutes, but ended up waiting another 25-30 minutes to actually get our food. I was actually really annoyed about the wait since it was getting crowded on the street outside the pizzeria and it was hard to social distance properly. Hopefully they can give better estimates so that there will be less people hanging out and waiting outside. I'm not even a big pizza fan, and I love this place. Great pizza! read more

Pedones will always be a neighborhood favorite. The pizza is really good. I usually order by the slice here. The antipasto salad is the BEST in the entire village maybe South Bay. So much meat & cheese...just the best antipasto I can think of...definitely my family's GO TO. The chicken wings are the BEST...Franks sauce I think so which is my favorite anywhere....I like them well done to get the crisp. The garlic roll is expensive...$4 but it's so good sometimes I do it..I order well done or it might be too soft..but that little round roll os SO GOOD. The garlic loaf is probably the better deal at $5 and it's a little like 6 inch roll & absolutely great garlic bread. This place is BELOVED by the community & for good reason. The food is GREAT. I used to go here on the weekend for some pizza and beer. I usually order a slice with one or 2 toppings. Each topping is 50c so it adds up. I love to add artichokes and another topping such as chicken or garlic. It's a pretty good size and gets me pretty full for lunch. The crust is thin and crispy which is just how I like it. The menu is quite vast with a variety of pizzas, pastas, salads, and sandwiches which are all pretty good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I like to sit outside when the weather is nice. It's located in the Riviera Village which is a cute area with lots of restaurants and shops so you can walk around after. There is metered parking all around but it can get pretty full so might need to circle around a bit. read more
