6 garlic knots with a warm marinara sauce
    Michelle F.

Yum! Yum! The parking lot was very busy but not surprised since it's the last weekend before Christmas. The gentleman that was working was nice and said I could order in the kiosk. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and 6 garlic knots. The pizza was greasy but it was really good. The knots are hands down the best knots I've ever had and the sauce that comes with the knots are like a warm marinara I added some Parmesan in it and it was good! Over all I'm definitely coming back and trying different items. The place it's small and it's more like a takeout spot but there is one small table top with 2 stools by the window.

Started off weird because only half of our pizza had toppings on it. That was EXTREMELY ODD. was this a joke ??? Did we just get pranked ?? They're lucky the pizza was extremely good. The garlic knots were swimming in garlic and Parmesan just the way we like and the Alfredo was saucier than a pot of sauce floating in sauce covered in saucy sauce. It Needed a little hit of garlic scraped from the foil from the knots But overall it was SAUCETACULAR!! We would for sure order again .

So so yummy and great service. Will definitely be coming back! They have a lot of different items on their menu so i'll have to try some of their other foods~

Picked up a Margherita Pizza to go!

WOW I was in the area walking around doing some last minute Christmas shopping and saw this place. I wasn't hungry but I knew I would be later. So decided to get it to go. Walked in and stood there for a couple minutes before someone came and told me you order by kiosk machine. I had no idea since I was a first timer but using the kiosk was a breeze and couldn't of been easier This place is extremely tiny and only has one little table with two stools. I honestly wish they had indoor dining because I'd be there every single day I like to think of myself as a Margherita pizza expert. It's my favorite type of pizza but sometimes it can have a bit of an overpowering taste where all I can taste is the basil This pizza was absolutely perfect. And I ate it cold. When it came out it was cooked perfectly and hot. But by the time I got home it was cold and decided to try a piece anyways. I literally couldn't stop eating it and didn't even bother with heating it up. It had an amazing classic taste. Simple and perfect with a hint of garlic. The ratio of cheese, sauce and tomato was absolutely amazing. They had a few pizzas on their menu that I'm dying to try. Can't wait to come back It was on the pricy side, but honestly I think it's worth it. I'd have no problem paying their prices because I can taste the quality

Half and half pizza was completely destroyed when it arrived.

Fix the delivery, the pizza was a complete mess when it arrived. If you offer a half and half pizza make sure that it doesn't turn into a complete mess upon delivery.

    Curry udon

Ordered a half margherita half truffle mushroom pizza, half fat tomato works half pepperoni pizza, and a curry udon to go. The truffle mushroom pizza smelled really good and also tasted delicious. I liked that there were a good amount of mushrooms in every bite. The truffle flavor was not very prominent which I actually prefer because I can taste the mushrooms. I don't like it when all I can taste and smell is truffle in a dish. The margherita was really good as well but I suggest eating this before eating the truffle mushroom because the margherita has a more simple flavor profile by design so it almost tasted lacking when I ate it right after the truffle mushroom. The pizza crust had a bit of chew to it but was not tough. I didn't leave any crust behind. I didn't try the works and pepperoni but the works smelled really good and had a good amount of toppings and the others enjoyed them as well. The curry udon was just udon plus some Japanese curry sauce. It's not soupy curry but literally the regular curry sauce you'd get with curry rice. I added some water to thin out the sauce for my daughter and she finished the entire bowl of udon even after some initial complaining. The menu for this place encompasses a lot of seemingly unrelated food, but at least they do the pizza well. Not sure how the other items are but I like that they have some kid friendly non-pizza items for my kid who doesn't like pizza.

XL Fat Tomato Works Pizza (Signature)

+Parking: Plenty of uncovered parking in the PEN Center lot. Near Dragon Fly Thai & Chicken Maison. +Atmosphere: It's a pretty small shop w/ 2 tables outside and a few seats inside. Most people get to-go by ordering online or over the phone. My family & I never had any trouble w/ their online ordering system. This is also a Korean family owned restaurant. I think there is one other lady, maybe a friend that works there. The pizza does take awhile, but I normally pick it up on the way from work or it's down the street for my family. +Food/Drinks: 1. They carry boba ie. Thai tea & green/black tea, but it's just 2/3stars imo. & of course soft drinks in cans. 2. The only pizza we get is the XL Fat Tomato Works Pizza (Signature). It comes with everything: sausages, larger pepperoni slices, mushrooms, & bell peppers. The sausage is what makes this pizza. The only drawback is that it's expensive, but worth it & thin sliced pizza. Order online, pick-up is quick at the counter, grab some pepper/Parmesan, and you're good to go!

Our waiter was pleasant but busy. For the whole restaurant it appeared that they only had two waiters and the busboys. I have to mention that the busboys were hustling, shout out to them. They ought to switch the waiters for the busboys once in a while as I found they were doing a fantastic job. Our food was good, I ordered Linguine with Shrimp Prawns which I have to add they were not large, same size as a regular shrimp with tail and head. It was good but a little disappointing. Italian salad was ok, table bread was good and. So was the beer . I opted to go for beer instead of Wine . The homemade Tiramisu was Phenomenal a must try. For the restaurant being close to the ocean it doesn't have a view .

Just for context, it was my niece's high school graduation. A day to celebrate, turned into something that made me want to write this review. We came in around 730pm, a group of 10 that had an 8pm reservation. We were hoping to get seated early but didn't expect it if it wasn't available. No biggie, but 2 large groups went in ahead right when they were going to give us the menus and the other parties got in first. Didn't really start the right way already. But moving on. We were seated outside (we didn't request a specific inside/outside) so no expectation, but the patio was cold and we asked for a heater (which they had in view) and another party requested the drapes to be opened (which is fine) but we could've used the heater and it didn't come for another 30mins. When the heater did come, it wasn't turned on for a long while and when it did get turned on, it was blazing hot and we asked a staff to turn it down. The guy turned it off. All in all it was yet again another interesting interaction. Then comes the ordering, the restaurant has daily specials and the regular menu. The waiter went around and described the specials and when we asked about the prices (the regular menu had prices) the waiter said it was a secret. Maybe it was an attempt to be humorous, but after clarifying we wanted to know the prices the waiter asked which one and had a weird reaction to our question. It was all awkward and came off very off-putting. One of the water glasses had a bug in it and we asked for a replacement. Twice. The waiter didn't replace it for along time and then he said he didn't know we were asking for a replacement. The water glass that was put in as a replacement had fingerprints, and smears on the glass and at that point we didn't want to bother. We showed it to the waiter and he was apologetic and said they ran out of glasses. (Does that mean they're giving us dirty glasses bc they ran out?) We ordered a couple of items and I think there was a misunderstanding on the order and they brought out something that we mentioned we wanted but ultimately didn't order. A busser put put the calamari on the table and we told them we canceled it. The busser graciously took it away but the waiter put it back on the table. We told him we didn't order that and he actually argued with us that we did order it. He smirked when he took it away. We ordered items and the food started coming in after 40mins. (It was busy so understandable). But it was important to note that we ordered pretty quickly and our dishes came so late while other tables next to us had their food served quicker. We didn't order anything that requires elaborate time to prepare. When the food did come, the pizza came out cold but at that point we were just done with the place. They did comp the pizza, and told me that I should've said something so they can reheat the pizza. But the culmination of our experience overall really made us not even try to call the waiter. Some of the items were decent, but it is really hard to appreciate the food when the service felt like the food was served with a side of rude. Overall it was a pretty horrible experience and would never recommend this place.

Cheese or a place where the waiter judges your shoes. We had a great waiter- dry, professional, and actually helpful when I was dithering between a few dishes. My kind of service. The food was outstanding, starting with the thick, focaccia-style bread, which could probably ruin your appetite if you weren't careful. Fortunately, I was careful. The eggplant parm was exactly what eggplant parm should be: crisp, flavorful, and decidedly not soggy. Because nobody has ever said, "You know what this eggplant needs? More moisture." I had a pesto corkscrew pasta dish whose actual name I neglected to write down because apparently I've reached the limits of my restaurant-reviewing professionalism. Excellent nonetheless. All accompanied by an Aperol Spritz, because hydration is important. It's also only a couple of blocks off Catalina Ave., close enough to the action without being swallowed by it. Bettolino has become my go-to Italian in the South Bay. I've never been disappointed here, and I have considerable experience being disappointed. Cheers!

My mom ordered the bolognese, I got the chicken Marsala, and my husband got their calzone and added pepperoni. We got the mozzarella balls to share as an appetizer. Everything was delicious, but I liked my chicken Marsala the most. Portions were a good size, as well. There was a man playing the piano and singing live, and there was a lot of people relaxed and eating from their seats. We were lucky with an open table so we had no wait and the whole vibe of the place felt very classy and elegant. Big smiles from our waiter, who also was very kind in celebrating our special night. He gave a lot of helpful info on what type of wine we would like to drink and poured our glasses. His service was extremely top notch. The food too was amazing!!! The Braciola di Maiale Tomahawk (essentially a porkchop plate) came with potato, tomatoes and balsamic sauce.
