    Quick good service and consistent quality and the hallmarks of the GAR brand. We ordered the shrimp and crab fritters, but dug into them before the thought of a picture crossed my mind. I had the chicken and havarti sandwich as a main. The chicken is seasoned well & it came out hot. My husband had the burger and that was equally delicious. The GAR group is a no-brainer if you want a great meal and equally great service.

    I'll start with the positives... the customer service here was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and courteous and took good care of us throughout the night. The vibes and interior are also great... very warm and cozy. Now let's get to the food... I ordered the crab cake and filet mignon (5 oz). The crab cake was good but very small in portions. Also not much crab meat either. The filet mignon was overcooked for medium rare. It tasted dry and hard to chew. I think this might be the worst filet mignon I've had in a while. The salmon dish was just ok... nothing noteworthy about it. The highlight of the meal was the calamari. The sauce is so delicious! I think I'll stick to the other Great American restaurants.

    We frequent Artie's too often! But we just can't help it! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy while the food is to die for! Our kid has baseball practice right next to this place twice a week so we have tried literally everything on the menu! The pecan, goat cheese starter salad is my fav of all times! I can't visit without this starter salad! Best part, it's always always consistent!

    Artie's is a great place, either at the bar or in the dining area. Kind of like a Cheer's ambiance at the bar. Lots regulars that know the bartenders. Standard Great American menu expertly prepared. You can't go wrong here.

    A lot of good menu options and a gluten free menu as well. The food was all decent, no complaints. Definitely try the Aussie rolls. Service is very friendly. The restaurant is very big with a lot of seating. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

    Are they still being cheap by charging for bread?

    Yes, they charge $1 for community bread basket. It's all supposed to go to their community Kitchen. The bread is freshly baked and worth the $1. I dont think it's about being "cheap".

After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The atmosphere: The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a warm and inviting ambiance. There is plenty of spacious booth seating, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The food: My table started with the Crispy Fried Point Judith Calamari to share. I have a peanut and tree nut allergy and didn't initially realize that the dish included pesto. The staff promptly remade the appetizer without the pesto, which I appreciated. However, the interaction left me feeling a bit like an inconvenience based on the tone of the response. For my entrée, I ordered the Patsy's 5 Star Reserve Rib Eye. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was absolutely delicious. I also added a side of the House Steak Sauce, and it paired wonderfully with the steak. I highly recommend trying it if you're someone who enjoys dipping sauces with your steak! The service: Overall, the service was pleasant. The staff was kind, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. While there were a few minor hiccups, I enjoyed my visit and would return to try more of the menu.

Cooked to perfection, tasty and buttery. Our sides were these nice parmesan crispy, layered potatoes and a delightful grilled leaf spinach. We were a little disappointed we had no room for dessert. But we will be back! The service was spectacular. Sitting at the bar, it was like we had two personal servers and a third on standby at all times. The Sea Bass was cooked well but not much seasoning, mostly the lemon sauce. We were told the Seafood Cioppino was spicy but there really not much spice at all. The Calamari was solid though. The vibe of the restaurant seemed more business so might have not been the right choice for a birthday dinner. No one acknowledged or asked about special occasions (I don't care since it was for me, I didn't make the reservation). The food was ok but I'm not sure I'll be dying to come back.

It should be noted the menu is a little pricey but well worth it especially if you are celebrating a big occasion. We were very impressed with the menu offering and absolutely had to get the Kobe Beef because there are only a handful of places you can get Kobe beef served with this type of quality. They present the certificate of authenticity which really adds to the experience. The beef was cooked delicately with a light sear and served medium rare which goes the perfect buttery bite. Highly recommend. We also got the pork jowl and the kurobuta pork belly. Normally the pork belly is a bit but it was pretty average so I'll probably pass next time. The pork jowl was really tasty and had a nice bite. You can just eat meat if you want to get the full experience. We highly recommend the steamed egg as well as the tuna with taro chips for the perfect balanced meal. Can't say enough great things about this place... looking forward to coming again!

I think what probably made our service and Guy Shige stand out the most is our server Laila. She was very accommodating with bringing us multiple high chairs and taking our orders almost as soon as we sat down. We ordered a lot of food and wanted to try multiple drinks and Laila really took her time explaining all the different drinks and making great ig worth recommendations. During dinner there were multiple times where our crazy toddlers threw items on the floor etc and Laila was quick to come by and sweep things up and replace utensils etc. All of the food and drinks were delicious and we truly had a great time. We will definitely be back.
