Great service, great whiskey, incredible food! Catered events upstairs are well run, there's a good view and I LOVED everything I ate. Not a bad dish in the place.

First time at this place visiting from out of town and great vibe, food, and service. Had a party of about 9 and all the food looked delicious. Had some great appetizers and didn't get to take pictures. But had a tuna entree which was on par with a steakhouse.

Great experience. Friendly atmosphere. With the sun setting, the beach across the street... good time for a relaxing couple of drinks with friends. Our group only ordered apps- all which were tasty... Then ordered desserts- so good we didn't even get a pic of those!

We haven't been to Artisan 179 in quite sometime, but as we had a gift card stopped in on a Thursday night recently. I ordered the short rib pasta special and really enjoyed it. My wife had the smash burger, which she enjoyed as well. Had a nice bottle of wine with the meal while we looked out o er the lake. Nice service too!

This is a very nice place! The food was just delicious and I love that a lot of it is homemade/from local farms. The waitress was very patient and kind with us. The chocolate sachet was one of the best desserts I've ever had! I enjoyed being able to sit outside too. Something that could be improved is the pricing. The bill got up there! The drinks were really expensive, and not super impressive. Overall, a great meal.

Second time here. Both experiences were good. Would definitely come back. There were two of us, had 6:30 reservations on a Wednesday night. Got seated right away. The place was buzzing and there was a full house. We were seated along the front windows. The smaller tables are a little closer than I would pick, but our fellow diners had quiet conversations. There was also a musician playing near the door, but not too loud or distracting. Our servers did a great job the entire evening with getting us drinks, food, and any else we needed. Thanks Mallory and Sofie for being personable and fun! Got a couple of the Brown Mumblers, which are basically an Old Fashioned with a brown sugar cube and sweet soda. Which is very good! We had the Bang Bang Shrimp of an Appetizer, Tortellini and Short Rib for our Entrees. Everything came out hot, flavorful and good portions. The Shrimp was cooked perfectly, nice and firm and flavorful. The Short Rib was tender and loved the addition of the Leek Bone Marrow Butter (seeing lots of Bone Marrow Butter in other restaurants). The musician that they had play an excellent collection of classic rock, but in a more quiet, subtle style. Excellent choice for the evening. Another nice evening. Would definitely recommend to others.

Awful service , sub par food, weak overpriced drinks. Many other better options in lake country for the price and quality

The food was below average and way overpriced. I found myself wishing we had gone to Brewers Too for a sandwich. Will not return.

Well - there was *nothing* to worry about, other than where I was going to put all of the delicious food I was consuming. There was not a single item/chaffer that wen't empty for more than a few minutes. Everything was hot, fresh and well-made. Desserts were plentiful, too. Linda was our server, and although she was new, she did a fantastic job and checked on us many times. Thanks, TB!!!

We both have always loved the salad and soup bar there (matter of fact, I'll often just order that for lunch or dinner), and as always, the soups were hot and tasty and the salad bar offerings were fresh, and the area was well maintained and cleaned. There were several choices for both breakfast and lunch entrees; I enjoyed the fried fish and beef burgundy, while my husband said both the fried chicken and the beef (I think it was prime rib) were good, but the beef was on the tough side. The French toast was puffy and moist, but the Belgian waffles were hard and bone dry. The scrambled eggs were rather dense, but the bacon, sausage, and cheesy potatoes were, we agreed, flavorful. The dessert selection was meager, primarily cookies and some bar cookies, and the breakfast pastry selections were rather tasteless and beginning to harden. I'd guess they'd been out for awhile. Our pleasant server was prompt with keeping our beverages topped off and clearing the table. This restaurant, due to its rustic look, is always darker than most restaurants; as this was daytime and our dining air had few windows, brighter lighting would have been nice.

Even had our 40th anniversary party here (on a Monday night). It's an excellent restaurant AND with reasonable pricing. The restaurant is small and intimate. There is a bar area, that has seating, or you several different areas of different size groups. A large table in the middle can accomodate a large group. The staff are always over-the-top amazing. The menu is tapas style has a large variety of dishes, and they change it occasionally to keep it fresh. There are several items that are always on our go-to list including the truffle brussel sprouts, chicken legs, pork belly, grilled veggies and the flourless chocolate cake. The owners Christina and Jason are terrific people. Super easy to work with when we planned our anniversary party.

We started with the Brussels sprouts. They seemed deep fried, which isn't my preference, but we loved them. Garlic aoeli and Parmesan was an unexpectedly good flavor. They then served the roasted beet arugula salad. Although we don't like beets we loved this salad. One serving gave each of three of us a decent amount of salad. It had a great dressing applied in just the right amount and delicious pickled onions. The roasted beets seemed a touch mushy but were palatable to beet dislikes. Next we moved onto the scallops. We highly recommend them they arrived on a bed of pasta with some vegetables and a wonderful cream sauce. We loved them. Just be aware you need to say how many scallops you want. It's $8 per scallop. We finished with the beef tenderloin. Be careful with your requested doneness. We asked for medium rare and received rare. Otherwise they had a nice crunchy sear and a delicious flavor and accoutrements like mushrooms and the most smooth, creamy, and flavorful garlic mash I've ever had. It had five good sized slices. These three dishes filled up three of us. They serve one plate at a time which gives your meal a relaxed, social feel and also gives you time to digest. It takes about 20 minutes for the brain to receive the message you are full so I think dining at this relaxed pace allows you both to get the full flavors of each dish and also to eat just the right amount and not overeat. The only bad part of the meal was the espresso martini. Don't get it. I've tasted way better. Didn't even finish it because of not great taste.

It's a busy place so we had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning, but I was OK with it. The building itself is pretty good sized. They have a couple of different rooms with lots of tables and booths. They also have some tables outside to wait at, but I'm not sure if they have an actual outdoor patio to eat at. The service was great and everyone was friendly. They all definitely work well as a team. I started out with just a plain black coffee. They also have iced coffees and Frappuccino type coffees. I believe they have juices and can even make some cocktails like mimosas. They did offer me sugar and cream with my coffee, but I just like my coffee black so that's how I ordered it. For my entrée, I ordered the village omelette and added gyro. It comes with spinach, tomatoes, and feta so the gyro meat sounded delightful in it. It also came with a choice of side, and I opted for fresh fruit. And then finally, you can choose between pancakes or toast. I went with plain sourdough toast. Everything was great and super fresh. The omelette was filling and well-made. They have a gyro sandwich and based on that omelette, I would definitely get the sandwich. The meat was tender and flavorful. And the feta gave the perfect little salty tang. I actually want to re-create the omelette that I had there here in Kansas City because it was so so good. The fruit was fresh and was mainly just honeydew and cantaloupe. And the toast was a perfect vehicle for some of the omelette to my mouth. Overall, I loved this brunch spot. If I lived in the area, I would go pretty regularly. If you are up north in Wisconsin stop in and check them out because you will not be disappointed.

The food is always delicious, the service is truly impeccable with well trained, friendly servers, and it's very clean and homey. I had an egg special, and my choices included two (perfectly cooked) poached eggs, three crisp on the outside sausages, a well balanced fruit bowl with fresh pineapple, melons, and grapes, and a short stack of their light and fluffy pancakes. My husband had over easy eggs, bacon, pancakes and fruit, plus we both had The Coop's rich, deeply flavorful coffee. Everything was excellent and at a most affordable price. Fast forward several hours: my daughter and her young sons were in the area on an errand, so we met up and of course the boys were hungry, so as The Coop was, once again, very close, we went there. My daughter was very happy to see decidedly different menu options for kids' meals than the usual. Two of them had grilled cheese sandwiches with fruit cups, the third had a scrambled egg, sausage, a pancake and fruit, my daughter had French toast, and I had two cheeseburger sliders with fries. Everyone loved their food and the atmosphere, and they all want to go back. Two great experiences in one day!
