However, significant portions of the service were performed by an assistant without my consent. The appointments were also heavily overbooked--I spent over 10 hours in the salon across two visits, much of that time waiting. More concerning was the outcome. My hair has sustained significant damage, including breakage in the front where an entire layer was overprocessed and broke off, requiring me to cut bangs to cover it. The overall condition of my hair is now extremely dry, brittle, and straw-like--the worst it has been in over 25 years of coloring my hair. There were also technical issues during the service. My color was rinsed prematurely, which removed pigment and required reapplication, leading to additional unnecessary processing. My eyebrows were also affected during the service and had to be corrected afterward at my own expense. I reached out directly to try to resolve this, but was only offered a partial refund that does not reflect the extent of the damage or the corrective work now required. He damaged my hair beyond repair and now refuses to even take accountability and refund me - so that I can attempt to begin the healing journey for my hair. When I attempted to resolve this directly, my concerns were dismissed and I was offered only a minimal partial refund that did not reflect the outcome. The tone of the response did not feel professional or solution-oriented. There is no amount of money that can reverse the damage to my hair, but a full refund would be a reasonable acknowledgment of the outcome and the cost now required to correct it.

I asked to buy bear oil for my dad. The lady with the pink hair didn't know the correct price and I overheard her ask the employee who was getting her hair washed the price. Once the employee was done getting her hair washed she was obnoxiously rude & told us the establishment was closes at 7pm; it was two min after closing time, but I replied to her all doors were open and signs were out. Her tone of voice and demeanor was aggressive and didn't seem she wanted to serve us as customers. I left the product on the counter and ordered it on Amazon, which was much cheaper. Do better and tell employees not to do hair until the establishment is closed meaning all doors and signs are put away. Shop appeared to be clean, but customer service was hostile and aggressive.

I'm thinking to myself, yes, that's what I'm paying you for. I simply said yes. Again, with a regular client in waiting, he was rushing and burned my scalp several times with high heat from the dryer. The finished style still didn't meet my expectations and the style fell apart within half hour of exiting his salon. For $81 plus 20% tip, I expected precision and perfection and, as described above, I didn't get it. I've obtained comparable results for 1/4 the cost and in 1/3 the time.

My daughter tapped two bottles together briefly while standing next to me--she wasn't "playing" with glass enclosures unsupervised, and nothing was slammed, broken, or at risk of breaking. I redirected her, as any parent would. She was never playing with drawers or banging mirrors. Specifically regarding the mirror: she lost her balance getting out of the empty salon chair, which I asked permission to use, and grabbed it to catch herself. The mirror was bolted into the ceiling so luckily it was installed correctly, and no one was hurt. Eitehr way, it startled both of us. I picked her up immediately and moved her away. That's a normal reaction to an accidental stumble, not a child "shaking and pulling" fixtures for fun. I understand wanting to protect your products and equipment, and I don't fault you for having concerns. But the way it was communicated in the moment--and the framing here--doesn't match what actually happened. I also noticed this shop tends to respond to critical online reviews with a similar approach, which unfortunately lines up with my own experience. Katie's work on my daughter's haircut was genuinely excellent, and I have nothing but good things to say about her. Not just a quick appointment, but something we're building and refining over time. He listens, makes adjustments, and genuinely cares about the end result. I brought my dad with us and Hudson and Grandpa ended up playing chess while we were there. They even have a little chess club vibe going on.
