I'm not a hair dresser and trying to find someone on a Sunday to fix my mess was what I had to do because of work. I have known her for over ten years and because I couldn't get back to her ASAP she canceled all my future appointments with no phone call but through text which is extremely disrespectful. Also I referred several people and she charged me $150 more than the people I referred. I always tip 20%. I'm so glad this happened because when she was told not to worry about it I found someone to fix my hair. She asked if I wanted to come in on Tuesday when she's known for 12 years I work 12 hour days. I had no expectations of her coming in but she offered to take then out but would not put them back in. That would've been a nightmare. This has happened a couple times now. She over charges and her work has gone so down hill. I just didn't want to deal with my work and finding someone new. I should've left when she just out of no where started upping her prices only on me. I work extremely hard and she upped her prices and lowered her standards knowing I'd pay it. Don't come here!

I've colored my hair for years and it's become damaged & thin, but i love long & blonde hair so much. So, getting extensions was the best step forward. She handsewn extensions into my hair, the extensions were tight only for the first day, but now I forget I have them unless I touch my head. I have had my hair done by Luz about 3 times and my teenage daughter once. Love the color/highlights she gave me, so natural. I had jet black hair until I started getting grays. The color/highlights she created for me was so much better than doing hair coloring from a box. My "little sister" (family friends, pretty much family) made my first appointment and I don't plan on going anywhere else. Just had an appointment to get my hair colored and cut on Aug. 25, 2016 at her new place on Front Street. It had been about 5 months. My hair color still looked natural, but with all the things going on in life, my grays started to show again. As always, she makes my hair look gorgeous. Each time someone sees me with my new cut and color, I receive compliments of looking younger and with a haircut, you get that fresh look. She is great at what she does, even with 3 appointments, I'm impressed with her expertise. She is so sweet too. Met her assistant Rachel, she is super nice and works great with Luz. I began dying my hair at the age of 15, and Viri was there to make sure my then virgin hair, was not about to get ruined, but instead look natural and healthy. I'm 23, and have not changed my stylist since! Viri, is passionate about her work, and makes sure that I leave the salon with a smile and feeling Confident, which is most important. I have been going to Viri for about 12 years now and must say that Viri and Luz, whom I've known and followed from Carlton Salon in Fashion Valley, and have now opened a chic Salon, Capelli on Front in San Diego, has got to be THE best colorist in Town and certainly the best colorist I've ever been to! And boy do I travel... Viri gives a thorough consultation, takes a real detailed and somewhat scientific interest in your hair, and I have never seen a stylist pay such close attention to the timing of the color! She stays right on top of the process, no distractions, no wondering where Viri went! I had been trying to avoid a golden-toned, or copper brassy blonde, and no "blonde specialist" stylists could ever seem to get me where I wanted,(I go from dark brown to reds to whatever comes in between while I travel for extended periods of time) But with patience and precision, Viri gets it right each and every time! If you don't know this amazing hair salon you have to check it out! My hair stylist, Viri, is excellent and I have known her for 8 years. Basically I tell her all the time that I can't live without her!! She is great at cutting, coloring and other treatments too. Recently, I tried a new hair treatment called Lissant that works far better than the Brazilian Blowout!! I have thick curly hair and am so happy with the wonderful results. The Lissant treatment still gives shine to your hair but gets rid of the frizz and calms down curls far better than the Brazilian Blowout!! read more

I met Luz 5 years ago and refuse to let anyone else touch my hair! She's an incredible artist that takes time with every detail of her work. I have had my violet/burgundy color for 2 years and counting now. Viri is amazing, she is in studio and worked wondering choosing this color I've been in love with it everytime and I get sooo many great compliments on it. Luz has done my hair for the past 10 years and has ALWAYS done an amazing job making me blonde! I always get compliments on my hair. When my hair grows out there isn't a "line" where my roots are coming in. She does such a good job blending the colors.
