They have the most beautiful and unique prefab quartzite, marble, and quartz! My husband looked around everywhere and we didn't want ordinary quartz that you see in most houses today. After visiting several other stores looking for prefab quartz in the color and style we wanted, we found it at Artistic Stone in Mountain View. The prefab quartz from Artistic Stone also comes with the miter edge option while the other stores only offered eased edge. Troy patiently answered our questions. He also showed us various tiles and educated us on the pros and cons of different materials although we ended up buying tiles elsewhere. The price we paid for prefab quartz was slightly higher than the prices we saw at other stores. Considering we liked the color and style and the edge option, the small difference was well worth it. The kitchen upgrades for us were both financial and emotional investment and for that we visited many shops and vendors until we finalized Artistic for this job. I would say Maria was one of the biggest factor we decided to go with them. She instilled a sense of confidence and trust. And overall they did good job in fabrication and installation. The transaction was clear and transparent. There had been few hiccups and delays during the project but I thinks that's normal in construction. These guys do it right. I did not have to buy a large granite slab for my new bathroom vanity top, and then get stuck with a lot of leftover granite. They have a great selection of granite countertops in a standard width and a couple of standard lengths. So you have a lot less waste and a lot less cost. Jesse at at the Mountain View store was very helpful and patient with me while selecting a granite top. I did have to travel to their San Leandro store/warehouse to view several countertops in my granite choice, and select the one for my bathroom. But Helen was there to assist me, pull out a few possible tops, and finally I found one that worked. The two man crew showed up on time and took just under 3 hours to do the install. The 79" long vanity top was a very tight fit in my bathroom, but the crew took their time and explained to me exactly what the situation was and how they were going to address it. I came here to compare prices for prefab bathroom vanity countertop. It was a Saturday afternoon, and perhaps they were understaffed, but we had to wait a while before anyone helped us. Their prices turned out to be higher than what we could get from UMG (non-prefab but fabricated from a remnant piece), so we did not get anything from here. read more

We used Artistic stone for new counter and backsplash installation in our kitchen remodel. We wanted Cambria countertops and so certified installers are limited - I thought their pricing was on par with other quotes. We had a simple white subway tile backsplash put in as well. The crew demolished the older counter, backsplash, and ceramic sink, measured, and prepped wood counter and wall etc. They also physically installed the undermount SS sink that we purchased online. The workmen were courteous and seemed commited to doing a good job. They were especially careful with moving around our appliances. We even took their suggesion of going with the quartz material for the windowsill. I think the office (getting quotes) and communication between the office and workshop (where they cut/prep etc) could be a little better. But they stayed with their timeline and got the job done quite quickly both from a scheduling and #days work aspect. Overall we are very satisfied (3 months later) with the workmanship. It looks wonderful. The Cambria quartz is a marvelous product. read more

We just remodeled our kitchen and used Artistic Stone for the quartz countertop and tile backsplash. We could not be more thrilled with the service, quality, installation and outcome. My primary contact during the planning phase was Michael Mok in the Mountain View location . Michael was patient, helpful,and responsive. I did not hire a GC, so I had many concerns and issues I needed to address since my project was not an "off the shelf" project. Michael assisted me and put many of my concerns to rest with his thoughtful explanations. When it was time to install, Sebastian and his team were fabulous. I used the Artistic Stone prefab quartz, and a creme beveled subway tile. Sebastian and his team made a beautiful curved breakfast bar-like over hang that needed to be cut around a beam. They did a beautiful job, and it looks quite elegant. The beveled subway tile ties everything together. During the installation, I worked with Helen also. Helen was very helpful and responsive. I had a fantastic experience with Artistic Stone. From the minute I walked into their Mountain View store and met Maria to the final installation of my countertops. We installed the granite in our master bath as well as our kitchen. I was able to choose two different varieties for each room (not something you can do at places like Home Depot or Lowes if you have less than 25 sq ft....unless you want to pay for 25 sq ft and not use it all). These were the top three attributes I was looking for: 1. Price 2. Quality and selection of granite 3. Service On all three items Artistic either met or exceeded my expectations. I talked to 3 other granite installers before landing on Artistic. On 1. Price - Artistic was pretty much in line with other companies. The fact that I could do a smaller space (12 sq ft) and only purchase as much stone as I needed was a big plus for me. On 2. Quality/Variety - Artistic blew their competition out of the water! They not only have a large selection but the quality was exceptional as well. 3. Service - outstanding. Maria worked with me through the entire process, even helping me select the right match of granite based on my paint samples and cabinet colors. High quality and affordable! I bought glass tile for my kitchen backsplash on clearance for half price at artistic stone compared to other tile stores in SF and the peninsula. The exact glass tile I bought was literally twice as much at another store that I bought bathroom tile from. Unlike most tile places, prices are listed on the tile so you don't waste your time and other people's time asking, "How much?" Great place for people to who are looking for a high end, high quality look on a budget. Also have expensive stuff for people who like to splurge. read more

I needed to replace the kitchen countertop in my condo recently, and I found Artistic Stone Kitchen on yelp. I dropped by their Mountain View store and explored different options with Maria who was on duty that day. I was primarily interested in quartz stone rather than granite. With Maria's helpful input, I realized I did not need to pay more for a national brand, but could save some money and still get the same benefits of quartz by going with an in-house brand from Artistic Stone. At no time die Maria push me towards one selection or another; she only stepped in to validate my choice after I had made my decision. We then set up for Artistic Stone to come to my condo to take more precise measurements the next day. The final quote I got from Maria was in the same ballpark as the initial estimate I received. So I was happy to proceed. We scheduled the installation to take place the following Wednesday subject to my being able to arrange two things: 1. Buy a suitable replacement sink and have it delivered in time for the installers. 2. Arrange for a plumber to hook everything back up after the installers are done. I proceeded to spend the next couple of days looking for a high quality stainless kitchen sink. That turned out to be a non-trivial exercise as many sinks had mixed reviews online, and those that seemed ideal were not readily in stock. So I was getting quite frustrated. I then decided to call Maria to see if she could help. Lo and behold, she told me that Artistic Stone actually represented one particular brand of stainless steel sink that was of very good quality. Moreover, there was one with the same size and gauge I wanted in stock! The price was also in line with what I had been quoted from other sources. So that was a HUGE load off my mind. I immediately told Maria that I would take the sink. As for the plumber, Maria offered to arrange for one of their licensed plumbers to show up after the installers. However, in view of the expected simplicity of just hooking everything back up, Maria offered me the option of an unlicensed (but well tested) plumber/handyman that Artistic Stone had used many times before. The difference in costs was quite significant, so I was at first a bit skeptical. At the end though, I opted for the unlicensed handyman given Maria's endorsement. Artistic Stone installers Julian and Daniel showed up right on time on the appointed day. They went at it for some 5 hours non-stop until everything was done. The finished result was great! The installers also did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. Once again, thanks guys! At 6 pm the same day, Dumi, the unlicensed handyman showed up. Most of the hooking up was pretty straightforward except for the garbage disposal. Dumi explained to me that because of the deeper sink I had selected, the plumbing that was previously in place would not quite work. The disposal could still work, but the problem was that there would always be a small pool of water left in the disposal, and that would wear the disposal out much sooner. The solution therefore was to move the associated plumbing down a bit lower so that it was below the bottom of the disposal. Dumi warned, however, that would not be trivial and would involve ripping out a large swath of the drywall to reposition the drain pipe. Dumi said that he could do it, but he would have to charge me extra because that task would exceed the 'standard' hook-up for which he was contracted. While I was debating if I should go ahead, Dumi (thankfully) came up with another solution, one that would only involve a more ingenious concoction and orientation of pipe/adapter pieces outside of the drywall. With that arrangement, Dumi finally got the garbage disposal to drain into a pipe segment that was lower. I was relieved and grateful that Dumi came up with this alternative and that my drywall was spared ( Dumi did have to cut out a small chunk of the drywall to verify the direction of the drain pipe; I will have to patch this up myself). I also appreciated the fact that Dumi was at my condo for over 2 hours to complete the job. Bottom line: everyone at Artistic Stone was fantastic to deal with. If only more companies have the same commitment to customer service and quality as these guys, that would definitely make for a better world! It is my pleasure therefore to recommend Artistic Stone Kitchen and Bath to all yelpers and beyond! read more

We had Artistic Stone fabricate and install our quartzite kitchen counters and install our tile backs splashes. The sales team (Wallace) in Mountain View was helpful throughout the process including ordering the quartzite we had selected, providing quotes and even doing a site visit. We agreed on a schedule for fabrication and installation and everything went according to plan. They did a magnificent job of fabricating the quartzite counters. They created a 2" mitred edge where the seams were invisible and the grain in the quartzite matched perfectly between the top and the mitred edge. The installation was equally impressive, thanks to Marcos and his team. Everything fit perfectly and where a seam was required, it was done so well as to be virtually invisible. The installation team always went the extra mile to accommodate our wishes and even stayed very late on a Friday evening to ensure the job was completed before the weekend. The tile team that installed all of the back splashes was equally impressive. The job took longer than originally planned because it was fairly complex but also because the team was meticulous in their work. We used both ceramic and glass tiles and their work was exemplary on both. Throughout, the people in San Leandro (David and Helen) were very responsive to our needs and always answered our questions promptly. Overall, we could not be happier with the Artistic Stone team and with the job they did in our kitchen. read more

Woohoo, this is as good as it gets! This is a terrific outfit. Michael Mok at the Mountain View location was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and organized without being pushy. I was able to select my own stone from a variety of stone vendors. When I found the ones I liked, Dave, the project manager helped us lay out the countertop on the stone so that the seams were perfectly hidden. Sabastian and his crew did a meticulous job removing our old tile counter, all the while protecting our hardwood floor, and within the week, they had installed our beautiful new granite counters as well as the subway tile backsplash. All of the demolition, haul away, counter install, and tiling was done by Artistic stone at a very reasonable price. I can't imaging going anywhere else for our next stone project. We added a BBQ island to our deck. I had my contractor build the frame for the island, and I had purchased the bbq. I went to Artistic Stone and told them what I wanted - a 7'x3' granite slab, installed with bbq cutout. They gave me a quote based on my choice of stone from their display. The salesperson checked if they had a remnant in stock that I could use, and they did. I went over to San Leandro and picked out my slab. They were able to get me on the install schedule within a few days. The installers arrived, measured the bbq, cut out the bbq slot, and installed it. All in less than a couple of hours. They cleaned up nicely and worked efficiently, and the workmanship was good. I am happy. read more

Then they forgot to order some of the tiles, delaying my job for 5 days! I used artistic stone to replace a laminate counter top with a granite counter top in my guest bathroom. The process was painless. The customer service was superb. And the two guys who came to install stone were very skilled. They cut in the sink and fabricated one of the two edges on site using hand power tools, and the lines were straight, the edges polished, the fit perfect. Amazing.
