Its literally all gelatin inside its not mousse and it was so nasty it did not taste good whatsoever. They're tiny as hell and it $6.50 each. They each taste the same, bland gelatin with a flavored jam inside so I don't even know where they got the "'mousse" idea from. Overall nasty as hell. I have been a loyal customer of Arts Bakery for over nine years, which is why this experience was extremely disappointing. On Thursday, April 16th, we called ahead to place a simple order while driving. The employee, Suzi, refused to take the order without full card details. I explained I was driving and would arrive in five minutes. We got there quickly, but she then refused to make the order and gave inconsistent explanations. When I clarified, she responded with a rude, dismissive, and unprofessional attitude. She raised her voice and disrespected us. Her behavior showed a complete lack of basic customer service skills and respect. This is unacceptable--especially toward long-time customers. No one should be treated this way. I do want to acknowledge that another long-time staff member stepped in and handled our order professionally and kindly, which I truly appreciate. ( Unfortunately, I forgot her name, and want to add that she's always very friendly and has great customer service. ) However, this kind of rude and unprofessional conduct reflects very poorly on the business. Today is April 9, 2026 its 6:20 pm and I ordered some fries and pizzas. They brought my fries and asked for Ketchup and the waitress (Suzy) told me I could go get them myself. Previously I had asked her for a bottle opener and she also told me I could go inside and ask for one. She's probably in her mid 20's. I think she was rude. I've been here before and the other waiters have been very attentive. I think someone needs to tell her she needs a bit of customer service training. Been a customer for over 20 years now. Called to order pizzas on Father's Day, placed the order, was told would take 20min. Went to pick them up 20 minutes later, was told there was no order in the system. They called the lady who picked up my order who started arguing with me, making up a story that I "refused to pay" that was why she never placed the order. It was a lie to cover up her incompetence. What upset me the most was the part that she was so aggressive with me, not letting me talk. I left without buying anything. I used to go there every week. I refuse to shop where customers are treated this way. Btw, I was not rude to her, I just assertively told her that was not what happened. A manager should have intervened but nobody seemed to care. Very disappointing experience. I called on Thursday and was told to place my order online, which I did and received a confirmation number. I called back, provided it, and was told my cake order was confirmed they just needed to check with the designer about the design and would call me Friday morning if any changes were needed. Friday came no call. When I followed up, they had no idea about my order and kept putting me on hold. Then I was told they're no longer taking orders because of Easter, even though my order had already been confirmed the day before. If you can't take orders, your website shouldn't allow them. Also, the staff were very unprofessional and rude on the phone they should really learn how to communicate properly, regardless of what language they choose to speak. read more

Service here was horrible. I spend about $70 here to have a coffee and with my sister. I got asked to leave when I wasn't even half way done with my food. The busser told me that the place is for quiet calm people, I don't know what he was referring too. I don't know what kind of hospitality is this and especially with the employees. So my co-worker brought in some Nazook cookies last Friday into the office. They were so yummylicious, I HAD to visit Art's Bakery myself to see what other yummy things they had to offer 2-days later on Sunday. Well, my friend and I ate there. She had the Chicken Lulah Kabob with potatoes & the Armenian salad; I got their Maximus pizza that is covered with some delicious meats. The crust was amazing as well; I saved it to nosh on later in the evening while watching Netflix. My friend gave me a lil bit of her meal; and I totally fell in love with their Armenian salad; the potatoes were good too, as was the Lulah kabob . . . I'm thinking that will be my next order when I go back to Art's. And yes, I took home a dozen Nazook cookies to enjoy, which I did. We ate in the patio area around dusk. The "only" thing that sucked [no pun intended] was the "Aedes Mosquitoes (Ankle Biters)" were having a feast on our calves. We left all itchy, hehehehehe; but it was a well worth itch, ha! Everyone that works there is very friendly and helpful with suggestions for us "first timers". The presentation of their desserts, salads, meats in the fridge prepared to cook, etc. was on point. We definitely will be back in the near future for their food . . . and of course a "to go" bakery item will be coming home with me. Lastly, the parking lot has signs that say "do not park" on the lot; but per the coffee barista, he said it's okay to park on the weekends; but not during the week due to the parking lot being occupied by the business next door, which owns the lot. What a great place! How wonderful to be greeted by the lovely, Lia! Her first question was, "if this your first time?" When we said that we had been here once, a long time ago and that we had forgotten where it was, she immediately made sure we had a taste of their best seller! The original Nazook. We ordered a custard Ponchik and the bean Ponchik (for Lent) and more Nazook, for later. The Armenian coffee and the American coffee are great. I loved it. So did my hubby. Actually, my spouse recommended it because they also offered vegan pizza, and we felt like going out for lunch and trying out a new place. So we decided to give this place a try. First, I wasn't too fond of the pizza choices ( I am a bit of a picky eater, I must admit), but I noticed they offered a plain pepperoni and cheese pizza for kids and also a so-called breakfast pizza with eggs on it. That gave me some idea, and I was hoping they would be open-minded to play along. We got to the place and it was impressive. Amazingly beautiful cakes and pastries ( reminded me of back home in Europe). Then they offered other food like Beef Stroganoff and classic Armenian dishes. And their pizzas. Some quite exotic and unique toppings you won't find in ordinary pizza places, and I thought it was impressive. But I am a bit finicky and enjoy the basic taste of a pizza. So, my spouse ordered his vegan pizza with vegan cheese. And I was curious if they would be willing to go out of their way to make a little extra effort to make me a pizza the way I would have it. :) The young lady ( I wish I could remember her name. She was a doll and so nice), I asked her if it would be possible if I could have that, pizza for kids in a regular size for adults AND if there would be any way I could have those 3 eggs on it they normally add to the breakfast pizza. ( You must know, back in Germany, it is not uncommon to have pizzas on a menu in Pizzerias with any style with eggs on it any time of the day. Or corn or even tuna fish. So far, nobody has ever done me this great favour to add eggs to the pizza. First, she looked at me with a smile, then another lady came and asked me if this tasted good, and I said. Of course. That made her smile. The tastedI was trying to order it, went back to the kitchen and asked, and came back with a great smile and said: Of course we can do it. We only have to charge,extra $ 2. Which was nothing for that great favour. Long story short ( as if this ever happens with my reviews. LOL ), the pizzas were absolutely delicious. I was so happy to finally, after so many decades to have a pizza done in a Pizzeria the professional way. I will go back there as soon as I can. The second reason why I will go back there is. We bought one of their Hazelnut cream chocolate cupcakes. I love hazelnuts. And all I can say. HEAVEN on earth. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of it because I was so busy inhaling it. Today we came all the way from Laguna Beach to Glendale just to try Art's Bakery & Cafe! Everything was excellent quality & delicious. The Lula Kabab was a bit dry and hard but the boneless baby country pork was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection! The sides were all great except the fried potatoes not cooked all the way through ! The best were the ponchicks that were out of this world and reminded me of my childhood in Iran!
