First went to a bakery with a similar name, but they ended up being closed, which worked out 'cause this was great. Super big, warm beorek (sp?) for under $5 (way better than price than the $7 emapanada I get in SM and in a lot of ways tastier). Had spinach and cheese in a hearty phyllo dough. Super filling and flavorful. I think I liek the zhengyalov hatz better, but this is way more bang for the buck. Woman at the counter was super super friendly. Ahhhmazing. Came into town for a few days and a friend recommended this spot. I was wanting some Armenian foods. It was between this or Sassoon bakery, been there so we had to check out a new spot! Ordered a box of Lahmajunes to go and one of the chili breads. YUM. Crispy and fresh. With a little squeeze of the lemon, perfection! I did not go to the actual location, had a friend pick it up. Our family home when I was growing up at a Lahma June bakery down the street. I grew up developing a taste for these, which that bakery called an "Armenian Pizza". I've been coming to this bakery for at least a decade and it really brings those childhood memories to life. They use fresh ingredients and have a quick turnover so many times items are served warm. There is a huge variety of flavors and different pastries with descriptions on the menu of everything. Service is friendly. It is in a strip mall with a parking lot so it is easier parking than many parts of Glendale. There were times when they were out of things when I went. I could tell they do constant business. I usually get the allahma June, to take home. This time I also tried Esfihs, which looks similar but is a bit more spicy and has some pomegranate molasses in it. I've had this on my list to try for a while. I finally stopped by and was greeted by very friendly attendants who didn't seem upset that I wasn't sure what I wanted or even exactly what they had to offer. It's got small Mom & Pop vibes and is clean and simple inside. They have a large selection of Armenia traditional breads, many of which are there to take home or can be heated and eaten at their small dining area. I selected a few items I'm familiar with, of course a Lahmajune, a cheese boreg, a zatarr and chesse (unfortunatley they were sold out of those) and a cheese and potato roll. Finally found a bakery in Glendale that makes authentic middle eastern savory baked goods! I've tried many other bakeries but all were bland and had no flavor! World's Best Lahmajun EVER!! If you don't know what they are, they are middle eastern pizzas made on very thin bread and instead of cheese, they use ground beef!!! I've been coming here since they originally opened back in the days. Nobody has beat them on their taste and quality. read more

Sadly, I do t believe this bakery is too fresh. I've always had negative experiences with the food. Today I was given a spicy cheese borkek and when I had it, it didn't seem fresh and it has a very thick feel and old taste of dairy. Great spot to try Armenian-style pizza. They have both beef and vegetarian options (it looks like they recently added the vegetarian). Really tasty and unlike anything I've tried before. It seems their prices have gone up (compared to some of the reviews here) so it is $1.75 for each lahmajune. Honestly, that's still pretty cheap. I also tried a beoreg (stuffed pastry). It was HUGE for 4.95. I ordered the string cheese one (Armenian cheese and caraway seed). It was yummy. The service was really friendly. PARKING: It's located in a tight mini-mall and there are a couple of spots dedicated to this particular business. It looks like each business claims their respective parking spots so you might have trouble finding a spot if it's busy. There is also open parking behind the mini-mall, as well as street parking, which might honestly be easier than the claustrophobic plaza parking. read more

Ate 2 lehmajunes from Lehmejune factory yesterday Friday Dec 20, and I'm pretty sure (cause I had no other foods that day) I got food poisoning. I was miserable all night with vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea. It's now 24 hours and although the symptoms subsided, I have no strength to get out of bed. I called Lehmejune Factory this morning to report the event, they rejected any responsibility and answered "suit your self" when I stated that I was never going back there.
