Our family home when I was growing up at a Lahma June bakery down the street. I grew up developing a taste for these, which that bakery called an "Armenian Pizza". I've been coming to this bakery for at least a decade and it really brings those childhood memories to life. They use fresh ingredients and have a quick turnover so many times items are served warm. There is a huge variety of flavors and different pastries with descriptions on the menu of everything. Service is friendly. It is in a strip mall with a parking lot so it is easier parking than many parts of Glendale. There were times when they were out of things when I went. I could tell they do constant business. I usually get the allahma June, to take home. This time I also tried Esfihs, which looks similar but is a bit more spicy and has some pomegranate molasses in it. It's the type of place where if I am in the area and it's open, I will stop in.

This is my most favorite place to have Lahmajune(it's got that nice crunch when tri-folded into wrap),fresh made to order. Gotta sit and have here.. Spicy Borek pretty good and unique.

I've had this on my list to try for a while. I finally stopped by and was greeted by very friendly attendants who didn't seem upset that I wasn't sure what I wanted or even exactly what they had to offer. It's got small Mom & Pop vibes and is clean and simple inside. They have a large selection of Armenia traditional breads, many of which are there to take home or can be heated and eaten at their small dining area. I selected a few items I'm familiar with, of course a Lahmajune, a cheese boreg, a zatarr and chesse (unfortunatley they were sold out of those) and a cheese and potato roll. They ran them through the oven quickly to get them just the right temp to eat and I was able to enjoy them right away. Everything was great.

Tucked away in an unassuming strip-mall, Lahmajune is a modest no-frills hidden gem cranking out delicious Armenian baked meat, cheese, and vegetarian freshly baked bread pastries. We sat on one of the few tables inside and enjoyed some of the meat pies we ordered in the shop and then took the rest to-go that were just as delicious warmed up the next day.

I happened to be at the tire shop across the street getting the tires changed on my car and needed to pick up some pastries for guests that were coming over that same day. One of those guests happens to be a baker so I really needed to find some fresh delicious pastries. I checked Yelp for nearby bakeries and La Jaconde popped up with really great reviews so I drove right across the street and picked up some baked goods. I picked up this big pastry that was stuffed with cream cheese and sour cherries (TRUST ME you want this), a box of mixed cookies and bite sized goodies, and a box of stuffed dates (don't knock it until you try it). EVERYTHING was fresh. Everything was tasty. And it got the stamp of approval from the baker friend. The cream cheese and sour cherry stuffed bakery literally disappeared in 10 minutes, and that thing was not small by any means. I returned to this same place the following week to pick up some savory baked goods for some friends, and the owner was at the shop and was so kind and so proud of his products (as he should be). Needless to say this is going to be my bakery of choice. I'd drive past 5 shops to get to this one any day.

The cute outside tables with umbrellas gave out an awesome Eastern European vibe, where the patrons are sitting in a cafe and sipping on their latte with a croissant or enjoying a nice plate of food. I tried the Beef Lula kabob plate, which came with thinly sliced baked potato, a grilled pepper and tomato, as well as with a side of Armenian salad. The Beef Lula kabob was pretty tasty, although I expected for it to be more juicy. The baked potato slices were plain, without any salt or spices. It felt like they needed a bit more flavor. The grilled veggies tasted great and very fresh. You could tell that they use quality ingredients. The Armenian salad had cut tomatoes, cucumbers and onions and was tossed in very yummy light dressing and was very delicious. You truly could taste freshness and quality all throughout , but with any Armenian food spot, I guess you just expect more marinade and spices to be in your food. My plate felt more purist, but I guess it allowed me to taste the meat and potatoes more in their pure form. In addition to a nice selection of kabobs that they cook in front of you, Art's has a variety of delicious-looking side salads and just a massive selection of baked sweet pastries and cakes. I plan to come back here with my dad so he can try this food and feel this awesome, European vibe of an ambiance. The customer service was friendly and attentive. I definitely plan to come back and try some of their other plates!

Always a pleasant experience at these bakeries. This Glendale bakery café was clean, bright, and beautifully organized with a large variety of pastries, cakes, and drinks on display. I tried the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake, Berries cake, Curry Croquette, and their signature iced Korean lattes. The pastries were soft and flavorful without being overly sweet, and the cakes looked just as good as they tasted. The curry croquette wasn't a favorite of mine. It was my first time trying and the spices didn't amaze my palette. I will have to try their garlic bread next time if I feel like getting something savory. Their sweets are always a hit for me! Overall, the staff was friendly and greeted customers warmly as they come in. Small parking lot at this location but still worth the wait. Good visit!

This was for a birthday party, so having the cake ready as promised was extremely important. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability. Instead of offering a meaningful solution, discount, refund, or apology for the inconvenience, I was simply told to pick a different cake or wait another 30 minutes for a replacement. Mistakes happen, but giving away a prepaid custom order and then acting as if it's a minor inconvenience is unacceptable. The whole reason for pre-ordering and paying in advance is to avoid this exact situation. Unfortunately, this experience caused unnecessary stress on an already busy day, and I cannot recommend this bakery based on how this issue was handled.

The mango caught my eye with its life-like ombré effect, and the (raspberry) framboise beckoned as well.
