Art came out to service our older AC unit. He just finished a job nearby so he got here very fast and same day during the hot September days when all the big guys are booked out for weeks. With icing on the unit, it was obvious that the coolant was leaking. He defrosted it and filled it up. It's running fine again. In our case, the unit was too old and broken to be repaired, and they confirmed that only after carefully checking it several times. TLDR - I needed a second opinion and Arthur delivered. He helped me save thousands of dollars on potentially unnecessary repairs. A different repair service advised that my unit needed a new compressor. They then upsold me by telling me that the part would take weeks to arrive and I'd be better off spending a couple thousand more for a new condenser (estimated $8000 for parts and labor). I called around for an unbiased second opinion. When Arthur answered, I said nothing other than my unit wasn't blowing cold air. He investigated the issue thoroughly and explained his findings in a simplified way so any lay person could understand. Side note: he used the latest equipment that provides more accurate temperature readings of the air blowing from vents. The probe also has Bluetooth capability so he can see the readings in real time as he's troubleshooting the unit. The suggested repair was to replace the capacitor and refill Freon. Voila! The unit works again. Although Arthur ultimately did come to the same conclusion about the compressor and/or condenser, it wasn't a dire situation like the first guy made it out to be. I appreciated Arthur's straightforward explanation and pragmatic advice. To top it all off, he's a really polite, courteous, and friendly person. I sent a text to Art on 8/6/25. He called me and asked me to explain what was going on. I explained the AC wasn't working well, barely blowing out any cold air. Afterwards he told me he needed to check his schedule and he would try to make it same day. I told him I wouldn't be home, so we made the appointment for 8/7/25. Upon arrival, he checked the filter upstairs and vent downstairs. Then he got to work on the unit on the roof. It was out of freon since there was a leak. He explained to me the price of the freon and cost of repairing the leak. He gave me discounts on both, so I paid $1370. Art was very kind, courteous, and explained everything to me. He wrote me a proper invoice for record keeping. Very professional. He accepts cash, card (with a small % fee), check, and zelle (which I decided to go with). My Goodman heater broke during a pretty cold time in LA, and thanks to a buddy who diagnosed it, knew what parts needed to be replaced. After a call to Art's, they were able to look at my heater the same day and quoted me a lot less than three other quotes I'd gotten. Shant came out to check out the heater even though it was near the end of the day, confirmed the initial diagnosis, went to buy parts, and installed them. It still didn't work, and he came back the next day with a new part to troubleshoot it, in case one of the parts had been faulty. After some detailed troubleshooting and even some part repair attempts, it turned out that two other parts needed to be replaced, but thankfully he checked to make sure my heater was still under warranty without me even asking about it. He ordered parts from Goodman, came back to pick up the old parts, returned them to Goodman, filed the warranty paperwork, and came back to install them -- and thankfully before the rain came back. While more parts meant more cost, it ended up being almost the same price as the initial quotes from the other companies for half the job. Shant was so thorough in determining the issue, and I really appreciate all the work into making sure the parts could be covered, and all the extra driving! He was so friendly, communicative, and honest throughout the process, and made us feel like he was taking care of our heater like it was in his own home. I just wish they did more than just HVAC! I hope I don't have anymore heater issues, but if I do, I'll definitely be calling them again. read more

Art is super down-to-earth and friendly guy, definitely have to appreciate his hustle. The guy came out on the recent heat wave because my parent's unit stopped cooling as it used to be. Art was able to identify, diagnose, and resolve our issue after our HVAC unit tripped the breaker and went out. What was exceptional, was his professionalism and ability to validate and double check the info we provided for him about our HVAC unit. Initially, we had thought it was an adjacent newer unit based on superficial inspection photos from a while back, but before fully servicing it, Art was able to identify and confirm with us that our unit turns out to be an older one from the original build. If he didn't check us, we would've been servicing the wrong unit, so we really appreciate that he checked our info. First I was very surprised when Art answered the phone on a Sunday night, but he did and we scheduled for him to come out first thing in the morning. Very quickly he diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote, and then fixed my compressor with a part that he had in his truck and my air conditioning was back on.
