Can't list enough superlatives about Dr. Abab & her staff. As luck would have it, I had 2 dental emergencies over the past week. Dr. Arbab responded immediately to my calls & texts, even over the weekend, and fit me in first thing this morning. Dr. Arbab is experienced, professional, patient & a superb listener. I was experiencing discomfort in my mouth and decided to make an appointment to be evaluated by the dentist. On the day of the appointment my temperature, oxygen was taken and I was asked to do rinse my mouth with betadine or Iodine (I was not sure what the dental assistant said). I was told that this was covid-19 precaution; however, I refused. In the room I was set-up in the sliding door was open ¼ (more or less) of the way and in the next room a patient was getting a cleaning done. Also, the instruments were exposed to air that were supposed to go in my mouth placed directly across from the sliding door. I become anxious when seeing the dentist and I conveyed that on the online form I filled out. Dr. Arbab came in and placed an instrument with the mirror in my mouth and I moved my head slightly. She told me that I am extremely nervous and I would have to be put to SLEEP for any dental work and she said that being anxious is part of me just like my brown eyes. She went on to say that she doesn't want to waste my time. I was told again that another dentist will have to see me to work on my mouth and I will have to be completely sedated (as in put to sleep). The office called another dentist so I can be seen by them. I was eventually led out and was told about the other dentist and asked to make my $110 evaluation payment. I asked for a discount because I felt the doctor didn't look at my mouth and the front desk lady told me they have to be fair and charge everyone the same. I gave her 2 one-hundred-dollar bills. Dr. Arbab walked by and I asked for a discount and she said to just charge me $100. I felt so humiliated and discouraged because Dr. Arbab as she was discussing psychological issues with her assistant in the room and while there was another patient in the next who can hear everything. I didn't go see the dentist recommended by her office due to the fact that this dentist may have a preconceived notion about me. Dr. Arbab emphasized that I am very afraid of the dentist and kept asking me if I understand that I am an anxious person. However, I went to another dentist the same day and got my dental issue addressed without them putting me under anesthesia (I was awake the entire time). I was not going to share my experience, but decided to only because if you are being told by a dentist that you need to be sedated and anxiety is part of you just like your eye color try another dentist. I wish I had the courage to walk out of the appointment and not let Dr. Arbab speak to me the way she did. read more

This is not just the best dental office in the South Bay, Dr. Arbab is the best dentist I've ever seen in my life. She and her team have an incredible bedside (chairside?) manner, and are incredibly warm and inviting. Dr. Arbab is not only insanely knowledgeable but explains the results of her exam, imaging, and overall findings in easy to understand terms that my wife and I could understand and relate to. She has a state of the art camera that shows me exactly what the problems are, and how she's going to go about fixing them. She numbs me really well, and takes great care to ensure my comfort throughout my appointments. I've sent a handful of friends to her office, and everyone is equally thrilled. Her prices are very fair, there's ample parking in front, and her staff is genuine, accommodating, warm, and on the ball. I couldn't recommend Dr. Arbab's office any more to the Yelp community, and truly wish I could give 10 stars... to a dentist, of all reviews! P.S. Not that you should ever go to the dentist for the scenery, but the views from the chairs onto the Pacific are unreal. Consider it an added bonus to your visit. read more

Who doesn't like looking out at the ocean when they are getting a filling? :) They have the most up to date equipment and such a clean, comfortable, and inviting facility. Their receptionists are so wonderful and friendly. I've always struggled with my teeth and gums. Since seeing Dr. Arbab for the past few months, I have noticed a significant difference in both for the better. My gums no longer bleed when I brush or floss! I drive 35 minutes each way for every appointment. I hate driving more than 10 minutes to go anywhere, so that is saying something. It is worth every minute. It is hard to find good dental care these days at an affordable rate. Trust me, look no further. Dr. Arbab and her hygienists have changed my life. Thank you so much. I'm not a fan of going to a dentist, but I had a problem that I needed to be seen for ASAP. I have a PPO insurance plan, so I could see Dr. Arbab despite her office being outside of my network. Her and her staff have created by far the kindest and most caring/comfortable dental experience I have had. While I did have to pay up front for services, I felt the amount I was charged was fair and more than worth the personal attention I received by Dr. Arbab and her staff. Regarding the negative reviews, I experienced none of these problems, but I consistently made it a point to understand what procedures were being considered for my treatment and to double-check with the office staff regarding what I would be charged. I will definitely be coming here for my routine cleanings and future dental needs. read more

Run! Wasted 18 months with this control freak dentist. She said my teeth were fractured. Not true, 3 dentists since have confirmed it. She doesn't listen. Lied & said rhinoplasty couldn't be done till after the year long process to fix my teeth. After seeing a colleague in Newport Beach, who listens, this colleague call Dr Arbab out for her measurements being incorrect...& did Dr Arbab know I was having Rhinoplasty? So Dr Arbab had her office call me in right away "for more impressions". They lied again. She sat me down & said Bc of my nose (probably the embarrassment from her colleague) she couldn't help me with my teeth! 18 months I wasted here! With this controlling "dr". And she was very nasty as she told me, "and your teeth won't be done for your daughters wedding". She was almost giddy about that. She lies. Bottom line, all the dentists I've seen, said it's because she's probably incapable of doing what she claims. Run! Find anyone else! Her employees lying for her, were to blame for this shoddy experience and waste of time. read more

I, my wife, and my two adult daughters have been going to Dr. Arbab since she took over Dr. Knott's practice some years ago. We have been very pleased with the service all around. Yes, as someone mentioned, the prices are a bit stiff, but given (a) the litigious nature of our society, (b) the sense of entitlement to super-human healthcare that all of us seem increasingly to feel, and (c) the cost of running a facility like a dental office, I am rather amazed that we have not all been priced out of the market for dental care. For the service she provides, Dr. A. is probably no more expensive than the rest, and with her overhead, I doubt she is getting rich off of us. read more

I like this office because it is warm and professional and Dr Arbab is an excellent dentist with lots of experience. Dr Arbab is also extremely kind to her patients. I have been going to her for years and I like her so much I drive 25 miles to get my teeth cleaned and see Dr Arbab for checkups and teeth fillings. I get a lot of compliments on my teeth and I give Dr Arbab all the credit: she showed me how to whiten safely and easily at home, she filled my cavities with no pain and she solved the bad bacteria in my mouth which was causing decay. When I needed to get my receding gums fixed, she recommended an excellent doctor. Dr Arbab makes the best, most realistic crowns I have seen so definitely go to her for cosmetic dentistry. I have been a patient here for about 20 years. I recently had to have a molar replaced and decided to have the implant done after waiting quite some time. Dr. Arbab and her team took care of the crown and did an amazing job. I was nervous about how the results would look and to my surprise, I can't see the difference at all in the crown and my other teeth. From the sizing to the care they took in assuring my bite was right and accurate, it was handled with care and concern. Dr Arbab is the best dentist ever. I have been going to her since she was in school at USC. I was her patient there for 2 years. I've followed her to every city she has had a practice. I have lived in Las Vegas since 2002 and am still going to her. I have invisalign now so have to see her even more often, plus some extensive dental work. I'm in my 70's and am still doing the drive to her. She is very patient and understanding. Her work is perfect. My hygenist in Las Vegas thinks Dr. Arbab does great work. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I am very scared of the dentist and as soon as I walked in the front staff was nice and made me feel at ease. They were also very careful to make sure I was parked in the right place so I did not get a parking ticket which was very considerate. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was very nice and always made sure to ask how I was doing and if I was comfortable. She also gave me new tips to help improved my flossing that I have never heard before, and was kind the entire time. Upon taking x-rays the Doctor informed me I had a small cavity that needed to be filled. Due to my busy schedule and leaving for college she squeezed me in and got it done right then, and made me feel comfortable as I was extremely nervous. Dr Arbab is the best dentist. I was her patient at USC when she was getting her degree for being a prosthodontist. I got dental implants. I went every 2 weeks for two years. After she graduated I followed her everywhere that she had an office, from San Diego to Santa Barbara and now to Hermosa Beach. I live in Las Vegas now and drive all the way to Hermosa Beach because I don't trust any other dentist with my implants. She is a perfectionist. Thank goodness she is 25 years younger than me, because I know I'll be gone before her. read more

I have been a patient at this dental office for over 20 years, I started with Dr. Richard Collis, and I love the staff, the offices,everything in general, and my last appointment went well until I had to pay my bill. The cleaning was $122.00, ex-rays were $147.00 and now there is an additional charge $75.00 for the dentist to take a look at you (which took about 3 minutes) after the cleaning and ex-rays. I haven't had a cavity in years, well wouldn't you know now I have a pinpoint cavity that is going to cost in excess of $400.00 to fill, and that is just an estimate, I could go even higher..... Like I said I love this office but I feel I have to shop around for a new dentist as the prices have become unaffordable. When I express my disbelief at the prices last time their approach was to have me make payments. Payments or not, I can't afford it anymore to go to the dentists office I have been going to for many years and this really makes me sad. read more
