Really great spot, it's pretty tiny, and whenever we go every table is full. Th service is really friendly. I get a potato, egg, and cheese taco, of which they have a good version. Then the rajas con queso taco is phenomenal. The cheese is like you would find at an Indian restaurant as paneer. Super delicious. My husband always loves the tacos he gets. It's an easy to miss spot, but totally worth looking for!

Mi abuela used to tell me a legend. Over breakfast, she would whisper, "Mijo, one day you will taste a taco where the eggs stand alone, the bacon is proud, and the sausage sings. I once found it in a small town, hidden like a treasure. But one night, a great storm swept through thunder cracking, winds howling, rain blurring the streets and the town vanished. The taco, the recipe, everything was gone. That taco will not just feed you it will change you. This is the story of La Leyenda del Taco Perdido en la Tormenta." I laughed then. But today, at Arturo's Taqueria, the legend was fulfilled. Walk in: tiny spot, a lot of meat options but no eggs. My soul whispered, "¿Por qué, Arturo por qué?" Then BOOM. Eggs, separate in a pan, shining like golden treasure. Bacon, separate in another, crisped like it was kissed by fire. Sausage, also separate, sizzling like it was performing a mariachi solo just for me. I froze. I gasped, followed by an audible "¡Abuela!" My coworker looked at me, confused. And then I whispered, "La Leyenda del Taco Perdido en la Tormenta" the legend is true." I built the masterpiece: egg taco with sausage, bacon, cheese, beans, and added a carne guisada with beans, no cheese. Flour tortillas. Plus a Joe Lemonade because as G.I. Joe taught me, knowing is half the battle, and hydration is the other half. I ran to the truck with tears of excitement. Then tragedy: the carne guisada taco? Flavor ghosted me, vanished like my ex. I nearly hurled it at my coworker and let gravity finish the job. So I cautiously opened the legendary taco would it be real or just a folk tale? Bad start: they forgot my cheese. No manches. My spirit broke. But then I bit into the egg taco. And in that bite "La Leyenda del Taco Perdido en la Tormenta" exploded into life. The sizzle of the pans roared like distant thunder, steam twisted like lightning, and every aroma hit like a gale-force wind. The kitchen itself seemed alive, echoing the storm from the vanished town. This wasn't a taco. This was the taco of legends. The taco that broke the code. The taco that made me want to call my family, sobbing, to tell them abuela wasn't crazy the legend is true. I will return, to worship at the altar of Arturo's Taqueria forever. Breakfast tacos will never, ever, be the same again.

Breakfast tacos for the kiddos and chicharon for the wife.

Food was amazing, tacos de chicharon prensado were really good. And the barbacoa Tacos. Tortillas are delicious, I buy 2 packs to take home with after we finish eating for the week.

I was really excited to come try this place: A hole in the wall taqueria that isn't really advertised. Came here for lunch to sit down and eat. They had a sign out front saying to please wear a mask, which is fine and per Texas regulation. I went in and first thing I noticed were that of the 5 employees there, 4 were wearing their mask down below their chin, and the one was wearing his mask under his nose. I don't want to get into politics or beliefs here but there is a Texas law right now that restaurant staff must wear masks properly. I don't know the rules about gloves but nobody was wearing any. Also how does the restaurant ask its patrons to wear masks but they themselves don't wear them properly to cover either the mouth or the nose. That being said, I still wanted to try the food so I at least ordered to go. I ordered huevos rancheros and migas ($6.50 and $5.50). For the migas, I was asked regular potatoes or the spicy potatoes. For tortillas, I asked for one with corn and one with flour tortillas which was an additional $1.50 upcharge that I was not told of or could see anywhere obvious. The food itself was not that impressive either. Huevos rancheros were two eggs, old fried potatoes tossed with a tomato salsa, and refried beans. Migas were all mixed in with the refried beans. The refried beans and tortillas were actually pretty good, though I don't believe the tortillas were made in house, despite it being a taqueria. The rest was subpar. Only thinking of the food and value, I would say 2 stars for the huevos rancheros and migas. For following regulation would be 0 stars. Overall experience: 1 star.

Authentic, delicious, and great service! Family owned and run. Great casual ambiance and the Gordita is the best here!!

The restaurant is pretty large with a mix of warm lighting and natural light depending on where you're sitting. It seems as though they may be renovating in certain spots of the restaurant the time we visited. Our waiter Dave was friendly, attentive, informative, and efficient. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. We took advantage of their happy hour for drinks. We each had a Cadillac margarita which was pretty good. My friend and I chose the Marisco bowl. I chose the meat combo of chicken/steak and she chose the chicken Marisco bowl. My other friend had the chicken quesadillas. The food was fresh, but in my opinion lacked flavor. I loved the prices of Gringos, but did not like my dish as much. My friends enjoyed their meals. As the night went on the restaurant became full. They have complimentary ice cream and cones for dessert that patrons get themselves. When we attempted to partake, the cones were gone and the station was messy from patrons not cleaning up after themselves. I would return to this location again and try a different dish. I would also recommend this business to others for decent happy hour drinks and food.

Also, the house marg was excellent and I definitely recommend. Overall, a cool vibe in the restaurant and we will definitely come back. To be fair, it is my own fault because I tried El Mariachi a year or two ago and thought it was gross then. However, I know everywhere deserves a second chance so I thought I'd give it another try, especially when I saw it had such a high average rating. Let me first say, service is INCREDIBLE. Truly could not ask for better. The hostess was really sweet and she stayed kind even when I could tell she was overwhelmed by all the people. We had multiple servers come by to check on us at various times and do things for us and they were all great too. Absolutely 0 staff complaints. I ordered a watermelon margarita and couldn't drink it. The syrup was completely separated from the actual drink. I left it completely full and while I didn't want to complain, I was surprised that I wasn't asked if it was okay. Had I been asked, I would've told them. My husband thought his house margarita was good, but he did order it frozen and it was already half liquid by the time he got it. The food was not good. I took one bite of my beef taco and pushed it to the side. It was essentially Taco Bell meat. No shade to Taco Bell, but if I wanted that, I would've just gone to T Bell. It sure would've been a lot cheaper. My cheese enchiladas were also not good. I asked to have sour cream sauce on top & was charged $2 for it. I wasn't told I'd be charged extra and didn't see anywhere on the menu where it said that. Even so, $2 for sauce is crazy, but $2 for sauce when the enchilada ALREADY comes with sauce on top and all you had to do was replace it?? Wild. The queso was okay. Not amazing, not bad. It's the only thing I was able to eat. Not my personal experience, but two tables in our same section had issues with their food too and had to send it back. $85 for that is crazy. I'm glad so many seem to enjoy it, but El Mariachi will never see me again.

The chicken flauta was good. I wasn't a fan of the beans and rice nor the Chile Relleno. The cheese is just shredded mozzarella basically not the actual cheesy find in a Chile Relleno. The stuffed avocado was too fried for me and way too much cheese. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the restrooms are super clean, which is always a plus for any restaurant.
