The front office manager, Annette answered and got me over to Josh, the owner right away. He was super knowledgeable and helpful and got me an appointment same day for air quality testing. He explained everything to me as I have no clue about any of this stuff. They were right on time and Josh said I would have my results no later than Monday by 5 pm when they came out on a Wednesday. I can't say enough about this company and the person we work with, Tim. We had a condensation leak from our AC unit in the attic which caused some drywall damage. Tim came out and gave us an estimate which was spot on for what I had expected to pay. Actually, it was a little bit cheaper than what I had expected to pay. I called a couple other companies and they said the work was going to be extensive. Granted, they didn't come out and look, but they said they would have to take down the tiled wall in the shower and the wall in the laundry room along with the ceiling above. When Tim came out, he did a moisture check and said there's no reason we would have to tear down the tiled wall in the shower. We appreciated that because there was no way we'd be able to match the tile and would have to redo the entire bathroom again. Maria came out, with another coworker whose name I cannot remember. They were extremely professional, worked hard, and cut only the necessary drywall. I was shocked at how clean they were and how little mess we had in our house. Estimated it would take three days to dry with the dehumidifier and the fans they put in. It actually dried a day early. Most companies would've said it was to get that extra day of pay, but Tim did not. it was nice to hire a company that I feel treated me like they would treat their own family! It seem like morals, ethics and values were more important than trying to rip off a customer, that is very rare these days and I thank them for it! read more

She informed me that someone from the environmental agency would come out the following day, which I was very pleasantly surprised by! They not only broke into the condo and stole everything they could drag out, but they also thought it would be fun to turn on a faucet on the 2nd floor and flood the entire unit. What started out as a simple restoration turned into a downstairs remodel project, all handled by ASAP. I had a small leak from my upstairs master bathroom that penetrated through the ceiling down below into my dining room. I've never had anything like this happen in my house in the 12 years that I've owned it, so I pretty much just called the closest restoration company to my house that I could find without doing any research. Let me just say that I got lucky with my choice. The owner of the company, Joshua Rudin, answered the phone and said he'd come right out and take a look, which he did. Josh is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He's an east coast guy (like me), so he gets right to the point and doesn't mince words, which I like. He explained the process and what needed to be done and made it all easy to understand for an amateur like me. I gave him the authorization to get started on the work to try to mitigate any damage. He had a couple of guys come out that morning and they set up containment barriers and fans and humidifiers. After getting my insurance company involved (because the mitigation and repair cost far exceeded my deductible), there were a few hiccups (mostly disagreements over the amount of water saturation in the wood and therefore, the amount of time to leave the fans and dehumidifiers running), but in the end, everything turned out fine. While the walls and ceiling were ripped out, and knowing the house was already going to be a mess for the rebuild, I decided to do what I've been wanting to do for a while and replace all my downstairs tile (foyer, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and fireplace), redo the kitchen (paint the cabinets and replace the sink and faucet), and redo the powder room (new toilet, vanity, light, and mirror and paint the walls). Josh said that his company would be able to handle this job as well. This is where things got a little bit out of sorts - part of it was my doing, part of it was ASAP's doing, and part of it was due to circumstances outside of both of our control. To make a long story short, I generally judge a job by the final product and for the most part, the final product for this job turned out very good. There were quite a few headaches along the way and it was a stressful process for me (mostly because I've never gone through this), but one thing I will say is that through the entire job, Josh was always available and very responsive. It did appear as if he may have been stretched a little bit thin as he had other very large jobs going on at the same time that kept him running around all over the valley. The positives: Josh for the reasons explained above. In addition to that, Josh did quite a few extra little things on the job and didn't budge from his originally quoted price. Josh only wanted to make sure I was happy and tried his best to do everything to make that happen. The tile looks great, the powder room looks great, and the rebuild of the damaged areas looks great. The kitchen looks much better than before. The negatives: The job took about 4 days longer than originally planned. The tile guy got caught up on another job and started my job a day late - this caused delays across the board. There were a lot of moving parts and at times, it didn't seem as if they were all going in unison. I'm a little anal retentive, and some of the details in the kitchen are not perfect - we installed handles on all of the doors and drawers and quite a few of them aren't level; some of the doors were re-hung improperly; the paint on some areas of the cabinets is dull, while on other areas it's shiny; and you can see brushstrokes in quite a few areas. There was paint splatter all over the counters and the kitchen was left pretty dusty and dirty. These are definitely some nitpicky things, but if I can see them, I'm sure other people can see them. It's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Overall, I'm happy with the job and would definitely recommend Josh and ASAP for your restoration work. UPDATE: Josh heard my concerns about the paint job on the cabinets and went above and beyond to remedy the problem. Now the cabinets, along with the rest of the work that was done, look fantastic. Be aware that when you sign their contract to do any work they immediately put a contractors lien on your home. I thought this was more than a bit disingenuous since my work was through my homeowners insurance. I had a bathroom leak and that created mold, They plastic sheeted it put in the air cleaners and just disappeared for days at a time. Per the insurance company they are supposed to return periodically to take and log air samples, which never happened. Things got sketchier and sketchier the further in I was. I can't say enough great things about Josh, Dan, Odyssey and their crew at ASAP Restoration. I discovered our water heater had started leaking around 10 am​ one morning and knew this was going to be bad with all the standing water in the garage and pantry area of our house. I reached out for assistance from a restoration company through an app I have and was answered quickly by Josh. Fortunately, ​he just happened to be in the area was out at our house assessing the damage in less than two hours. Two hours later his crew was there ripping out drywall, putting in fans, and installing dehumidifiers​ to contain the damage. Less than 10 hours from the point I discovered the water, they had all the damage contained. They were very thorough and accommodating​ of our crazy schedule (my wife just gave birth to twins who are in the NICU) and they did fantastic work. We were back to normal in about a month and it would have been faster had we not had some minor insurance delays/backorder issues with materials we picked out. I hope I never have to hire a restoration company ever again, but if I ever run into that unfortunate situation, I will be giving Josh a call without question. read more
