4/28/26 Lunchtime: We stopped in the Asbury Ale House for lunch. The outside of the building is beautiful. It was formerly the Steinbach building department store from yesteryear. The building is in the National Historic Registry. (Cool Ambiance) This Ale House is humongous with at least two to three bars. The interior was really colorful with upbeat wall to wall murals. In addition, you'll see some cool stuff like an old-fashioned telephone booth and signage. For fun, there's a small arcade area with timed basketball and air hockey in one area of the ale house. (Service & Food) Natasha was our wonderful and caring server. A bottle of cold water and glasses w/ice were brought to the table. We ordered soft drinks to start out. For lunch, we ordered a Grilled Chicken Avocado BLT and a Caprese Sandwich. Both sandwiches had wonderful fresh ingredients. Each platter came with a small air fryer container of spicy chips. The bacon on my sandwich was nice and crispy. Just the way I like it. : D The manager Nicole came to check in on our table along with others. We told her everything was great. I came to Asbury Ale House with a 17 person party to celebrate my birthday during brunch time. We were seated in the very back and on the opposite side, away from the other patrons, which was great but it also felt as though we did not receive enough service due to being away from everyone else. The food didn't take too long to come out and the portions were good but the taste was just okay. We did experience a couple missing items (side of avocado and chimichurri) and brought this to the server's attention. For the chimichurri, we were told that it didn't come with the steak because they didn't have it anymore so they didn't include it in our meal. We should have been told this before the food came out or even right after it was set on the table. We were offered a replacement sauce (pico de gallo) just to find out that it cost extra and had to explain that it should be free as a replacement to the chimichurri. The manager was able to comp the pico and apologized. At the end of the meal, I was also surprised to not receive any acknowledgement that I was celebrating my birthday (which I marked on the reservation). Once I received the receipt, I noticed that we were also charged extra for the missing side of avocado and an extra sauce. This was not disclosed to us prior. Our server recommended this one, and it was amazing. Loved the BBQ pork incorporated into the platter. Plus all the delicious toppings they added to it, it was just prefect. This place is fairly subpar. I've heard people say the drinks are better than the food but I didn't really like either. I got a rum bucket ($20) which only made sense to get considering the coctails were $17-18 a piece. Insanity. The pulled pork nachos were okay, they had a lot of fat that I thought could have been trimmed off to get more actual meat. The buffalo chicken salad was fine it's like something I could have made at home. We went July 4th and thought maybe our server was hammered ?? I'm all for people having a good time but she was slurring her words so much and we could barely understand her. They started a new app based service since they cannot get enough workers to staff this hopping place. Today was the second day of the new app. It's difficult to maneuver through to order anything even slightly off menu. And the app asks you for your credit card BEFORE you get your food. And it adds a 20% service fee to your card before you can even ask about it. And even if you do, they refuse to remove it from your bill. I don't begrudge paying a tip, but to have it added to my bill before I even had a chance to suffer through the poor service I got, was enraging. read more

They have many options in beer, alcohol, and fun Fact: they are the only bar in town with Tito's Vodka on tap. Inside: it's more like buffalo wild wings type with more vibe, and feels alive. It is known for a sports bar with 40 televisions featuring every major sports channel. We ordered Shrimp Tacos: the base should be warm, I understand it was crowded, but when it came to the table, it was already cold. One bite and I can feel, the tortilla or soft taco is not warm and it ruins the food. The shrimp was cooked, and the sauce was good too, but overall 3/5 SoCal Turkey Burger: The size was disappointing, it's more like Wendy's burger size, but taste-wise- it was good. Every item comes with chips, but you can replace them with fries for $2 extra - my burger was good (nothing extraordinary though)- 3.5/5 Overall, the vibe was super cool, I was sitting outside and enjoying nice warm weather- that was a good feeling. service can be improved though (it was on the slower side, had to wait for simple asks) BTW- This is paw friendly and saw many fur friends sitting outside. I also ordered the mango sour beer & it was horrible. I asked for ice because it was warm but even with the ice it was pretty funky. Service was ok. The food came out fast but our waitress was hard to track down. Around 10pm the back of the restaurant turned into a dance floor with beer pong. The menu is huge and everything sounded so good, it was hard to choose. We ordered the Drunken quesadilla to start (see pic). It was SO good!!! The portion size was large, and it was cooked perfectly. The drunken sauce was amazing. We also ordered bone in wings, half ale house (a combo of buffalo, barbecue, and blue cheese) and half sweet chili. Yes, you can have them split the order! It was hard to choose-all the sauces sounded delicious. The wings were a good size and not fatty at all. We just wish we would have ordered them well done, as we like our wings crispy. Both sauces were tasty. The food and service were 5! The ambiance was cool as well. Like I said, we sat outside. There were a lot of tables, some with umbrellas, some without. We went inside to use the bathrooms. The inside is really nice, with a ton of seating options as well as several TV screens. The Halloween inspired drinks were really fun to have and the pour was generous, they were very sweet though so we both found it hard to finish our respective drinks. For that reason, next time if we get "fun" drinks I might consider sharing rather than we each get our own. We had buffalo egg rolls to start with and they were perfect. We were excited for our meals. My friend got the drunken chicken parm sandwich and I tried it, omg instant regret for not getting that!! The drunken sauce was really delicious. Asbury Ale House is a must visit during any holiday. Their drinks are out of this world. Any specialty and fun themed Halloween drink you could possibly think of - it's on their menu. Syringes filled with shots? A flight of slushed ciders presented in cauldrons? A smoking martini? They got it - and they taste good too. My boyfriend and I visited on a Saturday for lunch and while packed, we didn't wait to be seated. The music is loud, the costumes were aplenty and it was overall fun. We also both got two variations of their drunken chicken entrees and both were great. The quesadilla and the sandwich - delicious. As an ex-server, I sympathize with staff and know the challenges the job comes with. Sometimes, things aren't perfect. I recognize when a server is trying his/her best - unfortunately, our server was not, and it was the main focus of our meal. It's not that she was messing up, it was that she was deliberately lazy with interactions and didn't care about our experience. She walks up with her digital server nook whatever, says hello, and stands in front of us for like 2 minutes tapping away. She didn't look up at us at all. It was odd and uncomfortable. Every time she came over, she would be tapping on her device and not speak for a number of minutes. It wasn't quick pauses between questions, they were LONG moments of awkward silence. Maybe she can't multitask, I don't know, but it was just not welcoming on our end and came off a bit rude. We ordered Guac and Chips as an appetizer and two beers. For entrees, I had the Nashville Hot while my friend had the Margherita Flatbread. I have no complaints about the quality of the food and the alcohol. I really enjoyed the Nashville Hot. I have a high spice tolerance and it was impressively spicy. The chicken was fried well tool. Guac was more creamy than chunky, which boils down to preference. And we had beers with hints of blueberry and piña colada. Very cool. The beers and the app came out quickly, which was nice. But then, about 4 minutes later, the entree comes. There's no way the entree would've came that quickly unless both the app and entree were sent at the same time, and we were nowhere near done with the app. I've never went to a restaurant where I felt like I had to complain about food coming too quickly, but when you order an app, you want to get the most out of it before your main meal comes. So our food had to sit in front of us while we tried to finish our guac. Overall, I like the Ale House. I like the food and beverages it offers, and the place itself is kept up to standard and has interesting decor. The live music makes for great entertainment. It was my second time here, and I'd still come back solely for the ambiance and food quality. But our server experience was weird and it would make me wary my next time around. Also, the tipping suggestions are ridiculous. The standard restaurant options to choose from are 18%, 20%, and 22%. Their suggestions are 20%, I think 25%, and then 30%. I couldn't even focus on the middle number because the 30% option shocked me. And I used to serve so, I get wanting more tips. But 30% of a bill ???? Why are we suggesting that lol - a guest should come to 30% on their own and not have it suggested on a screen. Especially for a restaurant that opts for a credit card surcharge.... weird read more
