Brunch with a patio overlooking the water? Yes, please! I ordered tea while my husband had coffee, and we both really enjoyed everything. Ordered Brunch Burger, Avocado Toast, and a pancake to split The indoor space is on the smaller side, but we noticed some cozy seating areas that seemed great for working or meeting up with friends. The patio is also fairly small, yet thoughtfully spaced so it still feels comfortable and not crowded. My only downside was the service. Given the size of the restaurant, I didn't expect such long gaps between check ins from our waitress, and the food took a while to come out as well. Worth it if you're not in a hurry. I'd suggest coming when you have time to relax, enjoy the view, and not feel rushed.

The best cortado I've had in my life! I initially came in because I thought this was more so a coffee shop and was planning on getting some coffee and getting work done. It's actually a cafe/restaurant! I ordered some food, Popped open my laptop for about an hour or so. The power bowl was great, only complaint is the steak was cooked a bit too well done. However flavor was really good. Service was very friendly as well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch!

Nice patio! Gotta catch it early. The Texas sun will beat ya up. They don't have umbrellas on the patio. They do allow pups on the patio as well. The food is consistently good. We've worked our way through a fair bit on the menu. Hard to go wrong. Service is decent. That would be the only thing to improve. I do get it. It can be incredibly busy here.

I had an excellent brunch at Ascension. It was a pretty busy place, but they keep things moving and wait times aren't bad. I love all the windows and patio seating that look out to the Trinity. I started with the sunrise date latte- delicious. This latte was silky smooth and the orange zest balanced the date syrup and added to the presentation. For brunch, the Lox bagel did not disappoint. Heaping salmon and a dill cream cheese made this dish filling and memorable. The bagel was nice and dense and provided a neutral palette for all the flavor. I also had to try the bacon and it was cooked perfectly crispy and thick! Can't wait to visit Ascension and try more menu items!

Scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese breakfast sandwich on a brioche - was pretty good, but it needs more egg and less of all the other stuff. Espresso macchiato was well executed, perhaps a bit more ambitious with the foam next time. Lots of good seating indoors and outdoors. Go early this place get packed and try to beat the Texas sun if you want to enjoy a sunny BF/brunch on the river. The staff are friendly but a bit slow and aloof at times, bull I'll chalk it up for how busy they get.

The food and the coffee were both very delicious. I always love their coffee, especially their cold brew, but the pour over was really good as well. My wife enjoyed the hash as well. The atmosphere in the place is always busy, especially on Saturday mornings and it's kind of fun if you enjoy that, which I do. I will say they do get pretty busy so sometimes it can be hard to flag down someone to your table because of all the people coming through, but all the staff are still very helpful and nice and I have no complaints there. We will definitely continue coming here regularly.

January 13, 2026 Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile by the host and were seated within 3 minutes or so. I've been to this spot a few times with my friend who recommended this spot. She's a regular at this spot. All the time, including the most recent time we dined here was on January 13th at noon. The food has always been scrumptious. Their lavender latte is pretty good and didn't taste like soap or bitter like a lot of places that make it wrong. The chicken flatbread was pretty good and refreshing. 5/5 On January 13th, I had their migas, and it was so fresh and delicious. All the flavors and everything on the plate went well. I usually don't like my savory food mixed with sweet, but their sweet potatoes and sauce were a perfect combination. Mad props to the chef or whoever came up with this dish. I am a fan of this dish for sure. I also ordered their winter flight, which consisted of Sunrise date latte, Pear Thee Well, and Snow-Jicha. They all had their unique flavors were unique. It was a good flight, especially for people who are into matcha drinks, since hojicha is similar in texture to matcha. My friend had a soup and an iced tea that she really liked. She had stopped by for a coffee drink this morning before we met up for lunch. The atmosphere is always lively with people having conversations etc. This is a great spot to check out because all the times we've dined here their food has been consistently on point. If you have yet to give them a try, I highly recommend you do.

Such a cute place along the river! My friend took me and another friend to this place while visiting Fort Worth, and we all enjoyed our food. I got the Steak Hash, it was so delicious! And my friends got the Turkey Club and the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap! Our server was lovely! If it was cooler out, we totally would have sat outside to see the view of the river! Would definitely be going back next time I'm in Fort Worth! The pictures I've added are the Steak Hash and the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap!

This was truly such a delightful spot. On the patio, with the view of the trinity two steps away and a shared bottle of wine with a dear friend, there is little else you can ask for in life. I dropped in for the 1/2 wine bottles after 3pm and split a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich with my guest for about $50 with tip. The servers were very friendly and attentive, checking in with us throughout our two hour stay. For the view and the value of a nice snack and good wine, it really can't be beat. The only thing that could have improved my visit was anything explaining the parking situation so that I didn't have to circle around in confusion figuring out where the restaurant was in the construction in relation to where I was allowed to park for the restaurant and some umbrellas out on the patio so that the sun bouncing off massive glass windows didn't blind me from looking at the menu. It took a while to get my Sauvignon blanc but they were very up front about the delay and my guest prefers non-chilled drinks so it was no issue for us. I will certainly keep this spot in mind for Sunday afternoons in TCU area!

Miles was an exceptional server. We sat on the patio which sadly they removed the umbrellas so the sun was quite harsh. I got a lavender lemonade and it was very sweet - I believe the lavender syrup tasted synthetic instead of naturally flavored.

Don't let the wait scare you, it's shorter than they say and totally worth it. Great location right on the Trinity River with shops all around. The menu has something for everyone, great for visitors! The food is always fresh, great coffee and juices. I had the almond coconut granola this day (pictured), and it was excellent!

Magnolia gets busier every year, and I was confused by the signs in the back lot. After chatting with my server, I learned that parking is free in the back and side lot on weekends, so don't let the red and blue paid parking signs scare you away. The wine bar itself is spacious, with plenty of seating and a relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't packed, but there were enough people enjoying a bottle of wine and catching up with friends that it felt lively without being crowded. I really liked how the wine selection was displayed on the shelves with information about where each wine was from and the price. Using my passport, I chose a Vinho Verde from Portugal. It was light, crisp, and refreshing, just what I was looking for on a hot Texas afternoon. The service was excellent. My server was friendly, walked me through my options, and kept refilling my water throughout my visit, which was especially appreciated on such a warm day. I also noticed they have a full calendar of events, including live music, sip and paint, and a mimosa bar from 8-11 on Saturdays. What stood out most to me was the location. It's the perfect place to meet friends for a glass of wine before dinner on Magnolia, or to settle in and spend the afternoon people watching and relaxing. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their wine list.
