I hired Asgard to install a Tesla battery about 6 months ago. Shortly after the install, the battery stopped working. I contacted Asgard and they came out a few weeks later to restart the battery. It worked for a few days and then stopped working. They have refused to return to service the equipment and have mostly ignored my calls/emails since then. I am not sure if the fault lies with Tesla or Asgard, but they seem unwilling to stand behind their work. I'd be very cautious about using this company for your install. read more

Customer experience was exceptional. Kevin, the owner was very attentive to detail and kept in regular communication. Kevin knows his stuff for sure, he answered my questions without a hitch. Benjamin was also very helpful post-installation when there were some quirks. Kenneth was very helpful and he even helped paint the fuse box since some of the paint was removed. Before we chose Asgard, we had 5 contractors come to our house and give us bids. We did not make this decision lightly. We chose Asgard to build our system and install solar on our home in December 2016. I cannot stress enough how professional, friendly and capable this crew is. I contacted Asgard along with 4 other companies/electricians for quotes on installing a Tesla charger. Benjamin was not only responsive in all emails but was courteous and patient with all of my questions. I also informed him I wanted to get a permit for my EV charger and Benjamin provided me all the information on how to proceed. He recommended for me to apply for the permit to save money. This was above and beyond any other electricians I spoke too. Some electricians even tried to talk me out of getting a permit and complained about the useless nature of a permit- making me actually feel bad that I wanted to go by the book (my husband is a civil engineer and former military - so he is all about rules and regulations). The day of installation went smooth and FAST! Kevin and another installer (forgot his name) were extremely honest and knowledgeable. Rewind back to my search for an electrician - every electrician told me something different about my panel and about the install process - which really frustrated me. When I brought up all the differing opinions to Kevin and he answered every question and made me feel confident I chose the right guys. He also informed me they went through the training with Tesla (verified on Tesla's website) and has never failed a permit inspection. Sure enough - I passed inspection with flying colors. We had an old Zinsco panel that was failing and causing flickering lights. Turns out the bus bars were corroded and the breakers were beginning to arc and melt. I caught it just in time. Asgard Electric took care of the permitting and coordination with SDG&E to completely replace the panel. The team was professional and very efficient. The quality of work was superb. They even re-trimmed the wood trim around the panel and painted it. They completed everything in just over 6 hours including final inspections by the city. Very impressive. I cannot recommend Asgard more. I've worked with a lot of electricians over the years and these guys are the most professional and organized I've ever come across. It took a little bit of time to go from my first call to install.... but you know what? They never overpromised. They told me it would take a month to get to my project and true to their promise they were here on the exact day they promised and did the install over two days and came back for the inspection on day #3 and I was done! No delays. I had a Tesla Powerwall to install and came to Asgard after all kinds of frustrations with other companies and their attempts to up-sell me. Finally Tesla themselves told me to call Asgard and they were right. Benjamin was super friendly and immediately got Kevin out and got me a quote. There were a couple of oddities about my main panel that others couldn't figure out. But not Kevin, he scratched his head and figured out a remarkably simple solution which saved me thousands. Asgard was by far my least expensive quote and gave me the cleanest and simplest install of anyone I had out to my house. Instead of wires and boxes all over the outside of my house, which everyone else wanted to do to make their work easier. Kevin worked with me to find a solution that made me happy even if it was more work for him. I was left with about the cleanest install I've seen of any of my friends with Powerwalls. When I wanted to add more solar as other companies told me I should Benjamin tried to talk me out of it again and again. He kept saying, I don't think you need to add more solar. Let us put the Powerwall in and live with it for a few months. We will come out and put more solar in if you still think you need it. I am truly a satisfied customer and have tried to get Asgard to some other electrical work for me. They've politely declined and told me they're just too busy. It's been over 2 years since Asgard installed my solar system and it's working perfectly! I couldn't be happier with their installation job and the performance of my system. About a year ago I had to have the cable tv company come out to replace my cable router. They forgot to properly hook up the solar inverter to the router. (the solar system was working fine, it just wasn't relaying this info to the monitoring company) . This prevented my solar system from reporting that all was working fine.
