We were in the process of selling our home when the new buyer's inspectors requested a termite report. He promptly connected us with Mike Rubbo Termite, who managed to schedule an inspection within 24 hours, which I found impressive compared to other companies. Brenda, the office manager/ Dexter, were very professional and ensured everything was organized for the inspection. Mike Rubbo, the owner, came out to conduct the inspection and thoroughly explained the process and what we could expect afterward. After the inspection was completed, his team, led by Brenda, provided the inspection report the very next day. The report detailed the findings and included a quote for treating the termite-infested areas. I submitted the report to my HOA and received approval within 48 hours, as they wouldn't need to hire another company. Brenda was proactive, calling and emailing with available dates, and I chose 4/23/2026 at 6:30 AM. Today, the technician, Kisda, called and texted before arriving right on time at 6:30 AM. He explained the treatment process and completed the termite job efficiently. Before leaving, he detailed what he had done and even sent me pictures. ***READ IT ALL***I've been looking forward to advising the world of how this company sees fit to conduct business. We purchased our first home and the seller had the home tented before taking possession, per usual. When I went to move into the home I noticed a that all the perimeter plants were not doing well. Within weeks EVERYTHING WAS DEAD! Everything within a two foot range. I reached out politely, multiple times. Advised of our troubles. No support. None. DONT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT DEAD PLANTS, TREES AND BUSHES. They don't take responsibility. So fun buying a home to see it look like crap, thanks Rubbo. You suck. Oh yeah...$12,000 was the bill...zero dollars given for repair let alone any customer service. Bad company. Bad morals. Bad results. Ring ring...where's the BBB? We have been thrilled by the completeness and quality of Michael Rubbo and his team at Rubbo Termite. We worked with our realtor to secure termite inspection and repair services through Rubbo when we first purchased our townhome last year. Unfortunately for us and other residents, our HOA does not perform nor require tenting of the building structures for termite remediation. This is not a good long-term strategy for protecting homeowners assets. So the next best thing for us as individual unit owners is to find a top flight termite inspection and remediation service and that we have found with Rubbo. This year, we called Rubbo Termite and Michael came out for a home inspection following up on last year's work and later scheduled service to the our unit with services being provided by foreman Angel. Contacted Rubbo Termite company to get an inspection. They completed the inspection and identified some repairs that needed to be done. Decided to get another quote from a different company because I was not sure what the cost should be. It turns out the second company's price was much lower. I reached back out to Rubbo Termite to make sure the work quoted was the same as the second company. I ended up talking with the owner and he immediately became defensive. I told him I wanted to make sure I was comparing the quotes fairly. I could tell he was extremely irritated that I was asking questions. As the conversation went on, he became more and more aggressive to the point I felt uncomfortable. Ended up hanging up on him. This business owner needs anger management classes. I recently had a contractor stop by for a remodel project. Upon his inspection he let me know I had some termites. After calling around I found Rubbo Termite. Mike was prompt and courteous and offered me a solution for my problem. I felt he was very informative and his prices were very fair. He was able to get me scheduled for my treatment. Mike is the guy to go to ! You want your job done right I would go to him! He will get the job done the right way and not skip any steps

The first thing I'd like to mention is that we have hired Mike and the Rubbo team twice (2016 & 2020). The first was for a VA purchase inspection and the second time was for a VA refinance inspection. The VA is VERY picky and Mike knows his stuff! BOTH times, Mike went through all the details of what "might" happen between plants both in and around our home with fumigation detail. He also covered in-depth the fact that any rotten wood would NOT pass inspection. The least expensive option for replacing wood was to cut out the rotten parts only. The expensive option was to replace all the wood damaged by either termites or rot. We were also told that the Spanish tile on our roof may get broken in the tenting process and to be prepared for potentially many to be broken (luckily we only had a couple). He was VERY thorough. Having done this twice now, I would share that I don't know how seriously I listened to all of those details the first time. I wanted so much to buy my home and I knew I had to get an inspection "overwith," that not all of those details sunk in. Mike came to our house again about a month ago. He went through every detail again and I can tell you I listened very carefully this time as we had just completed a full remodel of our yard with all new plants, a pool, new trees, etc. We were prepared to cover any plantings and deal with broken roof tiles if need be. As always, Mike and crew did a great job and we passed our VA inspection with no issues at all! As you read the other reviews here, please consider that in this type of business people hear what they want to or are able to because buying and refinancing are stressful times. Mike goes over everything with a fine-toothed comb. In response to texting, I prefer text messages over phone calls...so that just seems a matter of personal preference. Whether we buy, sell or refinance in the future, I will call Mike and trust him with exactly what he says needs to be done to pass inspection. We are a pretty particular military family and Mike is a straight-shooter. read more

Oh my goodness-I cannot praise company enough. We had a cash offer come in on our home and had an extremely quick close. As some may know, when closing on a house, a Wood Destroying Insect Report is due to the Escrow company prior to closing. I had grown increasingly frustrated because I had called several local organizations as well as Terminix and nobody would call me back. Our realtor recommended this company so gave them a ring. Not only was Michele extremely friendly and eager to help, they came out within just 2 days of me calling. Michael Rubbo came out and performed the inspection. He was early, friendly and prompt. I'm a realtor and have used Rubbo Termite for many termite inspections and repairs. I've found them to be consistently honest and thorough. Recently I hired them to complete section 1 termite work on the INTERIOR of the condo my client recently purchased. The technician, Angel, went above and beyond by repairing some external boards on the patio that were severely damaged by dry rot. My client was going to have the HOA do these exterior repairs as that is their responsibility. Angel took the initiative to replace and color-matched the paint so it looked brand new. I appreciate the fact he takes pride in his work. The owner, Michael, charges fair prices and always follows through on his commitment in a timely manner. My husband Don S. already made a review about this company but I got something to say as well. In regards to the paperwork you made us signed thru DocuSign (online) no one explained to us what we're signing. It was just sent thru email in a very tiny font. When those two guys from your company showed up to our house the day before the fumigation, they told us that the plants inside the house will die. So, we're aware of that but they never mentioned anything about the plants we have outside or we would have covered it. Yes, someone came to fix the sprinkler but they didn't want to fix the outlet outside and says that they didn't do it which was a lie. My husband took pictures of what happened and pictures says a thousand words. So, I'm not going to waste my time writing another bad reviews about your company. My realtor and I hired this company for termite remediation during escrow on our new house. They tented for fumigation, which went well I assume, but the remediation work they did was really bad and laughably cheap. For example, to repair a few of the rotted eves they simply cut off the last few inches of some roof support beams and glued on small new pieces of wood that don't even match the angle of the other beams. The deck repairs were also really half-assed and amateur. The repairs were mostly on cosmetic parts, and the materials they used were really cheap and didn't match the original work. They painted part of the bottom of the deck but not the right color (they used a cheap white paint and the rest of the deck is red), and didn't even paint the new wood added on the top. They even used drywall spackle to fill a few holes in the wood. We're very disappointed with this work and feel we wasted thousands of dollars. read more

I am a real estate professional and found this company two years ago when they had inspected a home my client was buying. I was impressed by the job they did and their professionalism. I have used them ever since. In reading other reviews, I'm seeing individuals blaming the company for exterior plants being harmed. That is something I know is fully explained in the paperwork. Or if chosen by an agent, the agent should have explained. They have done exceptional work for me on every transaction I have close as a listing agent since. I would recommend no one else. read more

Not reliable and rude. I had an appointment set for an estimate. It was a 2 hr window from 10-12pm while my kids are in school. Then I got a text from them on the morning of the appointment and was told that your appointment has been moved to 1:30-2:30pm. There was no phone call, no oh we are so sorry, does this time frame work? Nothing. I was just told with a text that now my appointment was moved. I was like what? Are they out of their mind? So I call the office, and kindly ask the lady there must be a mistake, I don't know who texted me but they can't just move my appointment without so much as asking me if it would work. As it turn out she did. She said, yeah I just told you our tech can't make it. What?! And you just thought it'd be ok to just move it to whenever without even asking? She was so rude. If they are this bad before they even earned your business, I hate to imagine how they will treat your house ones they get your key. read more
