Stay Away ! a bunch of extremely rude, violent, and unprofessional bullies waiting around to rip you off !!! After talking to a couple of mechanic shops, I called these guys last week to get a quote for replacing the rare and front rotors and brake pads on my son's car who is a student and needs his car everyday. I spoke to this guy, Lacy Colley - apparently a service advisor there (picture attached), and asked him for a quote. After trying to convince me to buy their parts for twice the market price I told him that we were brining our own parts and just need them to replace them for us. He told me $200 for the replacement of the front and rare rotors and brakes and $30 for the oil change (without any parts). Which seemed fair especially because he told me that they will be able to get it done in a day and before the holidays. I asked him for an appointment which he said was not required and if we took our car and left it with them on the morning of Monday (yesterday) they will have it finished by the end of the day. When my son took the car there, they said they can't finish it on Monday and we had to leave the car overnight to be finished on Tuesday. So we left the car and my son had to get Uber to go to school for both days. Today when we went to get our car. The same guy, Lacy, shows us a receipt for $437. I was shocked and told him that the quote he gave me on the phone was $230 for everything. Before I even finished my sentence, this lady, Jenessa Maas (picture attached), who is also apparently a manager there jumped into the conversation and very rudely said "that is the price and if you want to take your car, that's what you have to pay" or they are keeping our car (who speaks like that to a customer). I tried to respond and reason with them that that's not the price I got from them when they give me the quote; when this third guy, John Maas, who is another manager there got involved and literally started yelling and cursing while shaking like a crazy person. When I told them that they should stop cursing and intimidating us, all three of them went crazy and almost got physical with us. Ironically, when I started recording them cursing and yelling, they went and called the cops. We left the shop to wait outside for the cops when this lady, Jenessa, literally chased us outside the shop and started yelling and cursing at us even outside the shop while threatening us that they would keep our car unless we paid the whole amount. When the cops arrived, they advised us to pay the bill to avoid escalating the issue and pursue the matter legally. I have video recorded most of the incident and will be posting it on social media and will also be filing a complaint against them with the BBB. Oh and I just read a couple of other similar reviews here, it seems that these guys are pretty infamous for over charging their customers and then getting violent with them and calling the cops as a scam routine. So do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! read more

Now let me tell you this I've taken my newer Corvette(and they now how anal I am about this car its beautiful) to Ashburn Village Sunoco 44111 Ashburn Shopping Plz Ashburn, VA 20147 5 times and my wifes Chrysler 300c SRT-8 twice or so times and the service and knowledge they have is incredible. Every job done on these 2 vehicles has been outstanding(never having to return back because not done correctly) . John Maas part owner/supervisor will go far and beyond your expectations plus very polite and socialable. As for their best tech Hermel I don't care what car/truck it is he will diagnose it properly(no rip offs/scams PERIOD) and tell you what you need and nothing extra! Hermel will also answer any questions you have even in the middle of the repair it's unreal. I have numerous shops just down the street but It rather drive the 40 miles there and back for the service, honesty, quality, and friendliness. Plus they have a little shop for drinks and snacks. Also kudos to Lil John and Rich they are hard workers too. So if I were you I would drive the extra few miles to get it right the first time seriously! Because having to go back to a shop that is incompetent is such a waste of life! I wouldn't even put one star but google unfortunately needs some kind of star lol just an FYI this place says professional on the building.. so I'm talking to this uneducated male that apparently maybe owns it who knows because if this guy worked for me would sure be fired I've never went somewhere that didn't want to make money isn't that why we own businesses or work ?? America is only focused on money! this guy looks at me and yells I DONT GIVE TWO f&$@s ABOUT MAKING MONEY all over an oil change ?? Really that deep then his wife I guess they work side by side cause they can't keep employees I'm assuming because of the mouth on him and unprofessionalism however runs up on my car to continue talking about an oil change I don't want and clearly they didn't want to do it either because like he said he don't want to make money ! My car was at 100,000 miles and I knew there were a few minor things wrong with it, but I was afraid to take it in to a shop for fear they would take advantage of the fact that my car was at the 100,000 mile point and would 'recommend' a lot of unnecessary repairs and maintenance. Someone I work with recommended Ashburn Village Sunoco to me and told me they were very honest and very real with estimates and repairs. My experience with them was amazing! They were extremely honest with me about what needed fixing and what didn't and I didn't feel like I was being taken for repairs and work I didn't need. John and Jenessa were wonderful and took great care of me and my car. The work was done in a timely manner and the service was amazing! It's a bit of a drive for me, but I will be happily driving to the Ashburn Village Sunoco for any maintenance from now on. read more

I had a great experience recently at Ashburn Village Sunoco and strongly recommend them to anyone in the area. After another shop nearby misdiagnosed an issue (and made it worse), I came here for a second opinion. John and Marty were able to find the issue, and were very helpful as far as explaining the mistake made by the other shop, and advising on how to handle returning the bad part. Sure enough, their fix eliminated the problems caused by the other shop and was also MUCH less expensive (turns out the other shop intentionally ripped me off). While this was going on, I had several phone conversations with the owner, John, and he was patient with me and explained everything very clearly. I am confident that Ashburn Village Sunoco is trustworthy and does good work. I have already been back for another service and that went smoothly as well. Thanks guys! read more

I just want to say that John and his team at Ashburn Village Sunoco goes above and beyond all other places I have ever been to in all my years of owning vehicles. They treat you as if you're a close friend. John doesn't just call you, tell you what's wrong then give you a price. He explains the problem. I believe their prices are fair. I notice each time I've been there that they call people by their first name and always friendly. I believe they are good, honest, hardworking people. I will miss them when I move back to my home town. I recommend John and his team highly. Super trustworthy place! I'm a young woman owning my first car so I was nervous about getting maintenance done on it for the first time but everyone here has been very helpful. They offer advice and suggestions but I've never felt pressured to spend more or do more work than I had planned. I recently had an alignment done along with a bunch of other work and didn't realize until I was driving back to college 4 hours away that it hadn't been done properly. When I called them, they gave me a full refund for the alignment so I could get it redone near my college. All the other work has been excellent, very thankful for their honesty in this situation! read more

I cannot recommend John and his team at Ashburn Village Sunoco highly enough!! The dealer quoted me nearly $1300 for an A/C repair and said it wouldn't be covered under the extended warrenty. John's quote was $400 lower, and based on what he saw, thought it *should* be covered. He worked with the warrenty company and today, instead of paying $1300, I paid $35. They also checked my brakes and tires since the dealer said both should be replaced soon, and told me I had many more miles left. Wowed from start to finish. Engine light on. Previous mechanic could not fix. Based on previous consultations elsewhere, was expecting to pay around $500. No! Here, not only did they fix the problem, going above and beyond by driving vehicle to ensure engine light wasn't coming back on, accomplished in a timely manner, treated with respect and honesty...I paid much less than anticipating. Take your car here. Everyone is very friendly and professional. I never have to worry that I will be pressured into having something done to my car just to get the bill higher. They always take the time to explain what needs to be done and why. Been taking my 2004 Toyota Corolla there for at least 6 years and it is in great shape. I called in the morning about my brakes and John said I could bring it in and they would take a look. Marty was the mechanic that diagnosed the issue and did the repair. Everyone in the shop was polite and knowledgeable. I took a walk around the shopping center then came back and sat a talked with them. They were pleasant and answered any question I had. Brought my 2012 BMW X5 to see if John and company could find the reason the X5 was surging on acceleration. They spent a couple of days researching the problem. They didn't take the easy way out by just fixing the easy thing (new spark plugs which helped a lot) but spent additional time isolating the issue. Found my new service center. Took my car here for a state inspection and an oil change. Prices are very competitive, actually cheaper than VA Tire & Battery. I knew the car needed additional service based on manufacturer recommendations so it wasn't a surprise when they brought it to my attention. Truly the only place I trust to take my car. Good customer care, excellent staff, and gets right to the point when it comes to repairs. Went in for a state inspection, and it turns out my break pads failed. As they said, not going to fail, not may fail, failed. And even though I believed them, they still showed me my old break pads and disks. As I mentioned, its the only place in the Loudon area I trust completely with my car. read more

I went to get my car inspected today and I was greeted at the door as if I were family. This place was hopping and the young lady checking in/out people was extremely busy. The team at Ashburn Village Sunoco is top notch. Very personable, professional and friendly. They replaced my headlight a few weeks back, but for whatever reason it burned out 2 weeks later.
