I've been getting my hair cut by LC (Laura Claire) for a year and a half and she's just the best! If you have naturally curly/wavy hair, she's the one to go to. She's incredibly detailed oriented and really takes the time to frame curls to your face. Another thing I really appreciate is her suggestions, during my second haircut she suggested an undercut for me and I went along with it. Turns out her suggestion has changed my life since I have a lot of hair and it's quite thick. I'm no longer worrying about body acne on my back and neck, and my head just doesn't feel as heavy anymore. Another thing that LC specializes is short hair. She has short hair herself, so I feel like she just gets women who prefer and love short hair. I usually come in with reference pictures and she magically will give me something that's even better than the actual reference pictures. LC is also the first stylist to do most of my cut on dry hair, which means that my hair won't look shorter once it's dry. Cutting on dry hair also helps her see how my hair naturally dries and that's when she goes in and starts framing my face. LC is also super sweet and bubbly, it's always a complete joy coming to her for a haircut. I highly recommend LC for your next haircut. read more

First thing that I loved was Amanda at the front desk, who immediately checked in with me and served me wine (which they kept filling throughout my appointment). Looking for a nearby salon, I was able to get a same day appointment at Ashen a few months ago and met Kristina. She did a fantastic job with my haircut! I have short (and surprisingly thick) hair and she gave me an awesome cut. She made sure to ask me throughout the appointment on how I felt with the length of my hair. Kristina was also super friendly and easy to chat with. She was so easy to get along with. My hair grew out really well after a few months until I realized that I needed to get a cut badly. LOVE this salon! I found it about a year ago when I was looking for a hairstylist for my wedding. I was set up with Maryam who is amazing with blonde hair! Before going to her I had a hard time finding a hair stylist who could give me the blonde I wanted. She was able to blonde me up and fix what previous stylists had messed up. I'm not sure what she does but I miraculously stay blonde longer and don't get that brassy color when my blonde starts to fade. Also, Laura Claire did mine, my bridesmaids and my mom's hair for the wedding and we were all obsessed! Got my hair done by Miriam and I loved it. I have really dark roots and previously bleached hair and she did a really really great job of adding new highlights and blending in my roots with the base color. She made sure the highlights were not orange and also made sure my hair didn't get damaged from the bleach. The process took 4.5 hours but it was worth it. read more

I received a color and keratin treatment. And my hair turned out looking great! However, I must have gotten a brand new stylist because the water scalded my scalp while she shampooed me. Plus she dropped the water nozzle on my head. I can forgive that. But then while she was straightening my hair after keratin she was pulling out a lot of hair and it hurt. The last straw was she burned my ear and temple with the flat iron. That whole appointment felt like torture. But in the end my hair look great. Cost was way too high to receive painful styling. I was hesitant to write this review since I hoped my hair would change after a month. But still nothing. I got my hair done by Julia a month ago and came out being very disappointed. My hair looked nothing like it was colored or highlighted. I came out of the salon looking like nothing had been done to my hair. I had told Julia I wanted highlights and a touch-up on my base, but she said it wasn't a good idea to do a touch-up, and we should only do highlights. I wanted to go lighter but went along with her suggestion. TBH I hate when hairstylists don't listen to what the customers want. I've seen so many hairstylists who can turn black hair to golden blonde with no problem, but that's beside the point. I scheduled an appointment with Angela for my first time at this salon about two months ago. I had "virgin" hair and was sooo bored with it and requested a haircut with a full bayalage.
