But she took my call and had me laughing in no time, which really helped because I was in so much pain. A little backstory, my braces were removed in 2021. A year later, my permanent retainer was moving my teeth. My orthodontist took full blame and put braces on the bottom of my teeth to correct them. The process was finished in April. Well, the left side of my head and face became very painful. The orthodontist said the retainer mold was wrong and replaced that... Fast forward, I moved to Texas, and now I'm at the doctor's because my face is swollen, and on to the Berkeley Eye Center. I'll spare you the rest. So now, I have the kindest woman named Sherri on the phone, who I consider a friend now. She told me to come on in, she'll send the paperwork through email, and she'll see me at two. She didn't stop there; once I got there and finished the exam, I thought I had to come back for them to put the proper braces on. Nope, Sherri said we can do the braces today, and they did! From the first time I came in I had a procedure done and paid out of pocket full price, because I was black they try to give me a hard time like I was going to steal the service and run off and not play. That should have been my first time to never go back to this establishment again but because if it's convenient location near my home I decided to give them a second chance almost a year later. Upon my return the head dentist began our entire session with A and incredibly snarky attitude as if she had better things to do in better places to be. After she decided that I was asking too many questions about my procedure she no longer came in the room and sent back a dental assistant with a stack of referrals. I was thoroughly confused because I was at least getting a cleaning today. When I asked was he at least doing the services that I had signed up for the dental assistant said no she no, she no longer wants to do service on you. I feel me asking her questions upset her as if she took it like I was undermining her intelligence about the situation.
