The receptionist welcomed me with a warm smile, the dental assistant made me feel comfortable, the hygienist (Z) was wonderful, and Dr. Meju put me completely at ease throughout the entire procedure. Because I was so nervous, they even checked my blood pressure afterward to make sure I was doing okay. That level of care and concern meant so much to me. Before finding this office, I visited several other dentists who either seemed more interested in charging for unnecessary procedures or recommending treatments I didn't need at the time. Dr. Meju took the time to understand my specific situation, explained my options honestly, and worked with me to provide the care I actually needed. Dr. Pham and the staff really took the time to listen and understand my concerns, and right away I knew I had found a place I could trust. I've continued going there for all of my dental care since. Now that I'm a regular patient, they're already very familiar with my teeth and my history, which makes every visit feel well-coordinated, efficient, and natural. I had the other half performed today by Mohammed and he kept me comfortable during the whole process. Both of these men have a great sense of humor and I was happy with my experience and the work done. We ended up at this location. The facility is nice. The waiting room is very large, and in the shape of a rectangle. My daughter was a bit nervous considering that she would be put to sleep, but the assistants were very pleasant The surgery was about one hour. I went in last Wednesday to have a new impressions made. Today (Monday) I got a call to tell me the new brux guard is ready - yes, already! I went at lunch to pick it up the same day. Initially the office was for Dr. Patrick J McClellan, DDS, but he has since retired and his role assumed by Dr. Chris Johnson. The office is clean and cozy and there is never a long wait in the waiting room. The office staff and hygienists are always very friendly. They make an effort for you to be followed by the same hygienist each visit so you get to know the staff. I had a terrible experience with another dental office (a chain) which tried to force me to get an anesthetized deep clean because it had been 2 years since my last cleaning. When I declined they refused my care. I went to Dr. McClellan and he explained that it was neither indicated, nor did the other provider do the proper eval to determine if it was actually needed (he said it was not). A friend in dentistry acknowledged that up selling is unfortunately not uncommon in the big chains. Dr McClellans honestly really made me feel well cared for, and he assured me when he left that Dr. Johnson shared the same values in his care. So far this has been true and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. Just FYI, downtown parking can be annoying. It's the perfect office if you work downtown or can take the metro rail, but because I drive I always aim for the early morning appointment to make parking easier. They open at 7am - another bonus!

She came in, cleaned my teeth, and then dismissed me. I told the dental assistant that I had not received an exam yet, and I overheard the dentist telling the assistant that she looked at my teeth and everything was fine. There was no discussion with me about the two crowns I have in my mouth. she asked me, "do you have any questions or concerns?" I said no, and that was the extent of her "exam" and our conversation. She was rough in my mouth and I asked her to stop pulling on my lip with the small mirror. She said, " if you had relaxed your lip, like I told you to, this wouldn't be painful." I said I didn't hear her instruction and she didn't seem to care. The light at the chair didn't work. Needless to say, immediately upon returning home, I found a different dentist and booked my next dental appointment with that facility. It is disappointing that the standard of care provided by Dr. Brown is not followed by the other members of her practice.
