I am sooo disappointed for the store manager to assist us with his new employee only to have not received the center piece of our furniture which is the Theater/Cinema coffee table that matched the end table and couches! With theater seat s , warmers and massages you while vibrating couch with recliner!!!! We have been told every 2 weeks since December 21.2021 now it's July 13 th 2022 that our Table will be arrived in 2 days then called the day before delivery to be told another truck another few days every 2 weeks for 8 months only to have table delivered today the table was damaged they tried to get me to sign like 10 times I told them to take the table 20 times I do not want damaged product period! Horrible experience from the initial purchase, they don't price match their own product,lie about the initial total you'll be paying, products don't last more than a couple of months, no communication(have to wait over an hour on the phone to get a hold of anyone),and refuse to stand by their product quality. I recommend you do your research just as much as I wish I would had done mine. I thought that by shoping with them that I would be getting high end products, but that's not the case. Furniture is falling apart after 3 months, the worst one is the ottoman. Tried to resolve it by having their techs come and all they did was move the cushion around. Now they refuse to exchange or fix it and don't consider it a manufacturing defect. How disappointing that a company this big won't take responsibility over their low quality products. So, another negative experience here. I just spent 5K on some brand new leather sofa (not from Ashley's, although the set I bought there was great and I sold it for a good price to a friend), I decided to look for some side table to go with the sofa. We found one we liked, and the sale's lady said it's her favorite in the store. The marked prices is $499 each, and she told us she could give us a discount to $600 something for two. A lot of money for the end tables, but we liked it enough to buy it. Everything went well, until I gave her my email. Once they heard MD behind my name, she immediately told me she realize she did something wrong and ask me to wait. She came back and told me the price was marked wrong and the price should be $799 for each table. Not sure what these table are made of, looks like wood to me. We declined to go ahead now the price is becoming absurd. I'm shocked a national chain like Ashley's would allow the oldest trick in the book for bait and switch. The sales person of course gave me a jab on the way out. "You get what you paid for!", implying either I'm too cheap or too poor to buy these tables. She is new, never seen her before. At least she should check her computer because I have bought so much from Ashleys over the years, it is not good business to not only trying to cheat but insult your long time customer. read more

STAY AWAY! Worst customer service in a furniture store I have ever encountered! We have always bought all of our furniture at Ashely's for years! And recently we decided to replace our dinning table with a new one. As soon as they delivered them two of the chairs cushions pop right off. The delivery man said we had to call the store to have someone else come fix it. It's been 6 MONTHS!!!!!!! And we have called without exaggeration 30+ times to get someone out. They always say they understand the frustration and that they will call back for an appointment because they have to contact another department before. SAVE YOUR MONEY, EXPENSIVE AND UNRELIABLE!! I am done shopping here after this horrible experience of purchasing an expensive furniture set they aren't responsible to fix. If I could write the store a negative zero I would... however that is not an option. My husband and I went in with cash to buy a sofa and loveseat. NO ONE would help us. We even took a picture of the item and went to customer service and still no one came or helped us. We waited a total of 1 hour and still no one attempted to help us. Furniture is decent but don't buy a mattress here and be sure to talk the price down on furniture. Get everything in writing and take time to read it so you don't get treated like we did. They were nice until we had a problem... My wife and I both were told we could return our mattress if it wasn't right (which most mattress stores do). When we tried to exchange it they gave us the run around for 2 months. Finally the original salesperson called and was rude and called my wife and I liars. We called the sales manager and he didn't call us back. I waited to give them the chance to make this right but after multiple attempts I have to write a bad review (which I hate doing, but need to warn other people). Don't but a mattress here- anywhere but here. Also, we didn't know that Costco offer the same mattresses they sell for $5,500 for $1,900. You can return it if it isn't right. They just dropped off our dining set and the delivery men made a mess on our carpet. We are renting an apartment, so this is a huge issue I hope to get resolved with their delivery department or whoever handles damages. One of the men tracked oil from their boots all over the dining area. The worst part is they didn't even inform me of what they had done. I was with my baby girl and didn't realize until after they left, luckily they call back in request of a review and we were able to call them out on it. I might have been willing to give this store a more favorable review, based solely on the pleasant sales person I had. However, not only was anything I asked about 6-8 weeks away...I came into the store looking for a "genuine" leather sofa. I was very specific; and told him not vinyl, or leather match...just real leather. My sales person went to the manager for a conference. I could see him directing my guy where to go in the store. I told DJ we didn't want to get it delivered they lied and said it's not an option so we paid $246 for delivery come to find out when we get home I could order from there website and get free delivery. The sales people are polite and helpful however the customer service is a joke.. We bought a 14 piece living room set and an additional wall table. When they came to deliver the furniture on Dec 12th they didn't have the end tables or coffee table (the wall table was scheduled for a later date).. Apparently when the order was inputted they forgot to add the coffee and end tables. We called the store and once we went round and round with them they told us that they would deliver all of the tables on Dec Monday the 23rd. We assumed that they had everything in order. However when the 23rd arrived we didn't hear from them.. We then called the store and they told us the wall table wasn't in so they would have to reschedule to entire delivery... I bought a living room set here, which is yet to be delivered. 3 weeks past the promised date. I called the Bakersfield store numerous times in which I received several different stories. Your order is on back order. Your chaise is what is holding you back. It's your side tables. It's your cocktail table. I was given Broken promises of "I'm going to check it out and call you back tomorrow". Additionally, their "system" was down for two weeks. Understandably, things happen but for a corporation this size, a system going down is not an excuse for not calling someone back and communicating what is happening. The desk people working at the Bakersfield store were quick to throw their sales people under the bus. Stating statements like "they should have never said that... sometimes they say whatever to make the sell, and I'm sorry about that" if you say your colleague is no good, guess what, it makes you look bad too. Moving forward (with no furniture still) called the distribution center in Visalia and there Allie and Erika helped me, CALLED me back, EMAILED me, and COMMUNICATED with me. They took the time to actually look into the situation and to try to help. They supplied me with excellent customer service. Ashley text me the delivery confirmation with the wrong delivery address. I called the number provided in the text twice. Was assured that the deli would be made to the correct address. They delivered to the wrong location. Was provided the correct location on the spot. 3.4 mIles away. When the delivery didn't arrive I called again. Now it won't be delivered for 7 more days. Went tonight to buy a couch and new bedroom set on 10-28-2016 and was asked by one guy if we had been helped and we said no and he said well if you have any questions my name is .... Let me know. We went looking around more found a couch we liked couldn't find anyone working when we did they were sitting on their phones so we asked is there anyone who can help us one guy said ya sure I can what's up. Don't ever do business with Ashley HomeStore. They drastically mark up the in store pricing over competitors and even their own website. I came in to buy a sofa, list price was 1600 but with 40% off sale the price would only be 1000. Their website had the same sofa for 800. When the agreed to match the price of their own website they then tried to over charge for delivery. To top it off they guaranteed delivery only to change the delivery to a different day without calling me. Customer service assured me they called and left a voicemail but not according to my call log. When I asked to speak the manager I was told basically to suck it up. Don't buy anything from that crap company, go to Urners or another store that might value it's integrity and customers. read more

I went to the store in late June and paid in full for a living room set. I informed Ashley of my need to have it before the 4th of July and that this was material to my purchase. I gave all of my information, including my phone number. The salesman entered my number into the system incorrectly. I asked them to correct the mistake and they assured me that they had. They promised delivery on July 2, 2019. On July 1, 2019 I sat patiently awaiting a call to inform me when the delivery would be arriving on the following day. No call came. I called Ashley at the first available moment the following morning. I explained that they may have entered my phone number wrong a second time. They checked the file and saw that it was entered wrong, again, and promised me that the delivery truck would be notified and that they would reach out. They never reached out. I eventually got a call way later in the afternoon to inform me that "I was not home for the delivery." When I explained that I never received a call about when they would be arriving, so I was naturally at work, the Customer Service Representative snidely told me "We have pictures of your house, sir." This was said despite my lengthy explanation of how I was not at my home, and was at work waiting for notice of when to return home to collect my furniture. The entire customer service experience was unhelpful, rude, and uninformed. A few phone calls later, after waiting on hold for a significant period on multiple occasions, I finally reach someone who informs me that I will now not be able to obtain my furniture until July 30 - which is patently absurd, as my furniture was still on the truck and likely only a short drive from my home. I cancelled my order that day. Today is July 11. I still do not have my refund. I have spent over 5 hours on the phone with over 12 different people in 4 departments trying to get back the funds I paid in full for the furniture. I have been told on multiple occasions that it is "my bank" holding the refund up, only to later be told that the person who told me that was "new" and that it had not been processed. My experience with Ashley is that they are a group of incompetent, mismanaged, lying tricksters who will say or do anything to get a sale and keep the pipeline moving. Once they have your money, you are less than nothing. Avoid at all costs. Avoid at all costs. Avoid at all costs. Read all of these reviews. If you get burned, at this point, you deserve it. I just read the review from Joy. I too went to the Ashley on Rosedale Hwy. I'm not sure if it was because I'm not bi-linguial , but not one sales person even approached or offered to help me. I went to the service desk and waited for at least 30 minutes. There were other customers being waited on, but a few salespeople just stood together and laughed and never offered to help. I will be calling the corporate and report how very rude they were. I sure miss the old days of customer service. I miss the old furniture stores that actually cared about their customers. As much as I'd love to say my recent post remains true, it does not. Within a month of purchasing our dream sectional, we noticed that just by sitting on our couch, these ugly and very noticeable lint bobbles started to appear. At this point this couch is almost 5 months old and already looks 3 years old because of all the ugly lint the gathers. We had to purchase a fabric saver on Amazon, but it literally takes almost an hour to do maintenance on one cushion of our brand new couch. I have been trying to make a return or exchange since February, contacting the main head quarters to our local store. I feel as though Ashley's have been dragging their feet so they could tell us we've missed the return/exchange deadline. For example we went into the store on June 15 and we're told to send an email to the regional manager. We never heard from her, so I contacted Ashley's today (7/12) and all of a sudden she responded by denying our request. Like I told everyone I've spoke to, we will gladly buy another couch if you'll allow us to return this one. But if we cannot, and have to live with this ugly couch (that was about $3000!!) then we will never shop at Ashley's again, and will convince all our friends and family to never shop there either. read more

Service and selection seems ok at the beginning, however, from own experience, service is really bad. I bought a dinning set, and was told it would arrive the following week, however only the table arrived and not the chairs. After I called they told me that chairs were in back order. Anyway, I decided to wait, and yeah, almost one month later the chairs came in. One came damaged and another one was missing pieces. I brought them back to the store and was told they would be fixed or re-ordered, one week later I drive by the store again because they wouldn't call for an update even though they said they would. Once I get to the store I'm told they haven't looked at them yet. After that they re-ordered(I actually waited to make sure they did).And now to wait another month for the chairs to arrive(hopefully). Never buying in this store again. read more

Ashley furniture is anything but customer oriented. Trying to get them to deliver anything is a very very long process. Eventually you go to someone else and cancel your transaction with them, however, getting your money back is an even bigger headache. Everyone just passes the buck or just out right hang up on you. After telling the lady he didn't want it and now they can't find him in the system.. He still hasn't recieved his refund for the protection plan he said he didn't want.. We purchased a sectional and there was a small error that occurred during delivery. Jose one of the managers took care of the issue and had us select something from the floor to compliment our couches. We initially thought we'd have to pay out of pocket and he'd give us a great deal on this item. We walked out paying zero!! Not sure if I dressed correctly but despite passing large groups of salesman who were just talking to each other , not one of them asked me if I might need some help . It's a large store , I wandered for a while looking for something I might like, left without ever receiving assistance . I almost didn't come back, I stopped in late on Sunday night to take advantage of a holiday sale. I didn't like the quote I got for an extension to my existing couch I bought from them last year. Seemed a little too much to pay. A good friend of mine talked me into coming back and seeing his sales rep Suleme Sandoval. She got me a way better price for the piece I wanted to add and talked me into a few other pieces for a better overall deal. Suleme and the manager stayed over way past closing to get the paper work done, I didn't feel rushed at all despite the fact I knew the place was closing. I went in the store and made a purchase and I noticed that the salesman put the wrong number down for my contact info. I know old her and she said it's an easy fix and she wrote my correct number down next to it and said she would have it fixed. My delivery date was for 1/29. I received an email in my spam folder on 1/28 saying that they have tried to contact me and for me to call and confirm delivery. I called to confirm and was told it's too late and that they are going to reschedule delivery for 2/4. I asked what number they called and found out it's the wrong number that the salesman never changed. Today is 2/2 and I hadn't received a delivery confirmation call so I called customer service. The woman that answered said that she does see a delivery for 2/4 and that if I don't receive a confirmation call tomorrow just call customer service and say that I'm confirming delivery. 15 minutes later I missed a call and I check my voicemail, it's Ashley furniture saying they're calling to confirm my delivery for February 4. I called the number back and the lady that answered says that she never had me down for February 4 delivery, that my delivery is February 9. They are so disorganized and it's ridiculous. Just wanted to advise that everything was great until we had a portion of our order delivered and it wasn't assembled. Upon opening the box we discovered a leg for our coffee table was broken. I should mention that Kaylah Clemente failed to properly explain that we would have to put the furniture together ourselves. I called and spoke to Kaylah and she proceeded to argue and treat me terribly. I told her I needed to speak with a manager to which she sarcastically replied that she would. Hiro was awesome and took care of us. He deserves a raise. Jocelyn also deserves a raise. HORRIBLE customer service, so RUDE!! ..from the salesperson to the store manager. This place is a joke!! This place makes shopping for a vehicle a breeze. I'm not going into extreme details, but just know when you are approached by one salesperson, ONLY that salesman is "allowed" to help you and answer your questions about the furniture. It's all about commission, who cares about being professional. AND if someone else is going to make the purchase for you, make sure you all go at the same time. If you meet up after you get off work, they are too damn lazy to explain again, even if you're the one paying for it. Oh, the delivery and percentage you have to pay upfront...news to me since I was paying the entire amount with my credit card. Anyway, just call the store manager over, he'll probably say (as he did with me), "she don't have to pay the entire amount ($85), let her pay $25".
