Awful. Do not recommend! We ordered "rec room" furniture for my daughter's new house. We waited 6 months for delivery. The delivery people looked and said it would not fit, my daughter was on the phone working for a business, speaking with her boss. The delivery people said it won't fit...I don't even think they brought the furniture into the house. Dave, the salesman, after my daughter called him to resolve the problem, said he would resolve it and come to her house. Nothing...never called and never came. About two weeks later...same thing...never called and never came...was due to come today at 10:30 a.m., never called, never came. I called AMEX and told them we cancelled the order since they are completely unreliable! Will never, ever do business with ASHLEY FURNITURE...it's no way to run a business. My husband and I bought a new couch today at ashley furniture in Eatontown NJ. We loved the couch and the employee who was helping us, whose name was Allen. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The only reason we aren't giving 5 stars is because of the way one of the employees treated Allen while he was actively selling my husband and I a couch. Another employee, a women who I'm guessing was one of Allen's bosses, told him in a very rude and demeaning tone that he needed to be wearing his radio and to leave and go get one, once again in front of us customers who Allen was selling furniture to. There were probably 10 other people in the store at the time, so I really don't think his radio needed to be a priority and that she needed him to leave in the middle of a transaction. I hope that people at this store treat all of their employees with the respect they deserve, especially in front of paying customers. Once again thank you Allen for helping us find our new couch! If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT buy anything from this store. Ordered furniture for multiple rooms and got the run around from customer service. Waited over 2 months for delivery because they were waiting for the couch to come in to complete the order. Customer service refused to schedule a split delivery, even after tons of phone calls and in-person requests. Never called to follow up when they said they would. I guess they figure they have your money, so why should they rush. Btw, the customer service rep sitting behind the desk scheduling deliveries is rude af and you can tell immediately that she couldn't care less about helping anyone. Get another job lady- preferably one in a secluded cubicle with no human interaction. You have to speak to a manager if you want a civil conversation. Finally scheduled delivery, only to be met with 2 of the most horrible delivery guys imaginable. They brought up only half of the furniture and then claimed the couch, loveseat and mattress base would not fit up the stairs. Did not even attempt to bring it up, just refused, and told us to call customer service. If you make the mistake of ordering furniture from Ashley and get the dynamic duo of Louis and Louis, God help you. Two lazy older dudes who didn't feel like carrying furniture up the stairs. So the living room set and mattress base went back to the warehouse and we're left with an empty living room. Save yourself the aggravation and wasted time and go somewhere else!!!! read more

TERRIBLE! 1st they delivered the wrong furniture. THEN, I was forced to buy the 5 year extended warranty because of the sale they were having. I actually ended up needing it only to find that I was provided NOTHING about it. No company name, number or specifics. I called and got the info only to find that the 3rd party company they use is WORTHLESS! It takes weeks upon weeks for anything to be resolved. I did not have that time as my issue was that the side part of my table was popped up and sticking out with jagged sharp edges. I have a toddler who bumps into everything and it could cause her harm. There was nothing I could do to help fix the issue during the claims process or I would jeopardize the claim, if they covered it at all. I called Ashley for help and was told they could do nothing as I purchased the warranty and its my job to deal with the company. All they could do was send an email. I asked to be refunded the amount of the warranty and was told no. So now I have a dangerous table that I have to do something with so no one gets hurt and in turn null and void the warranty I didn't want to begin with. DON'T BUY FURNITURE AT ASHELY AND DO NOT GET THE 5 YEAR PROTECTION PLAN!!!! IT IS WORTHLESS. read more

This store is a disaster and you should avoid it all costs. At the time of purchase, they charged my credit card 100% in full despite not being able to schedule a delivery date. I've tried calling multiple times for a status and I'm told someone will get back to me shortly but nobody ever follows up. When you try calling the store, the phone rings and rings and rings and never gets answered before it disconnects. (Today, I had to call 14 times before the phone was answered.) The date in which I was promised my merchandise has now past and when I spoke to Sal today, he told me I have to wait for the manager to call me back when I told him I wanted to cancel my order and receive a full refund. He also apologized and told me that the warehouse is moving and is a bit screwed up right now. (The same thing I was told three or four weeks ago. Don't waste your time. A company of this size should have a basic ability to know their inventory and be able to track an order. If a promised delivery date is approaching, good customer service would have been to proactively reach out to the consumer and provide updates. WARNING!!!!! Never do business with them On 1/17/17 -My parents came to your store in Eatontown and purchased a living room set and paid with check a total of 2112.36. The delivery was scheduled for 2/9/17. On 2/6/17-They received a call that an item was on back order and that the new delivery date would be 2/25/17. On 2/22/17 - My father received a call stating that the sofa was still on back order. However, all the other pieces ordered could be delivered on 2/25/17. My father called me to relay what he was told and we agreed to cancel the order. I called the store at 6:34 PM and requested if the order could be canceled and if a refund could be issued. I was informed that a request had to be made in person to comply On 2/23/17- My parents went to the store with the intent to cancel the order and request their refund and spoke with a male manager who stated he would reduce the price by $224.42 (bringing the total cost of the items down to $1887.94) that the refund would be issued the following week, and that he would ensure that the scheduled date 2/25/17 my parents would receive all of their order. 0n 2/25/17 - I was informed by my parents that their furniture was not delivered and instead they were called and told the sofa is still on back order and that they could deliver what was available on now 3/1/17 and deliver the sofa on 3/8/17. After further interrogation, Noreah the customer support rep admitted that it was noted in the computer to call on 3/6/17 to inform us the sofa was still on back order and would not be able to delivered until 3/25/17 On 2/25/17 - I called the store at 4:37PM , 4:50PM, 5:02PM , 5:06PM , 5:07PM ,5:09PM 5:10PM At 4:37PM- I called and picked the option for sales and spoke with someone name Nuria . I requested 5x times to speak to a manager. Each time I requested to speak to a manager she would state well let me just say how sorry I am for the mix up, every time she stated that I conveyed I would like to speak to a manager and counted each time to her my request . By the fifth request my aggravation grew in dealing with this party who seemed more concern with explaining to me the problem when I clearly requested to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold for 13minutes with no one ever returning back to the line At 4:50PM-I called back received the same associate who placed me on hold again for an additional 12 minutes I was told the manager was in a meeting and they were not responding to the overhead pages At 5:02 PM I called back received a male party who stated he was attempting to also locate manager for me but has been unsuccessful. When asked if there was an alternate to speak to since the manager was not responding to overhead pages and I was informed they have no voicemails. I was told they knew of no other party to go to At 5:06, 5:07 5:09PM- I attempted to recall selecting a different option. This time the option for customer service was picked. Each time the call was picked up and answered thank you for calling Ashley's please hold and immediately placed on hold. At 5:10PM -I recalled the sales department and was put through to speak to manager Connie. At this point my aggravation has topped. In speaking with Connie, he approach on attempting to de-escalating what may have been a heated exchange was to place me on hold and then return saying, "are you ready to allow me to talk now". When I confronted her on her approach and stated I didn't find it appropriate to place someone on hold when they are explaining the errors that have occurred, she repeated to place me on hold again and return. She attempted to what felt like chastising me on the protocol for appropriate dialog instructing me to be quiet and let her talk. I was astonished in her conduct. Connie offered decreasing the price of the items by $100(bringing the total cost to 1787.94). On 2/28/17 - Customer support manager called stating she wanted to apologize regarding the complaint submitted on the better Business bureau of the experience my parents had she informed me that a refund would be issued and it would take seven business days for the check to be received In addition my parents went to store in person and was again was attempted to not cancel their order and they firmly requested a refund and was told by the manager it would take seven business days the refund check would be received in the mail On 3/10/17 I called Ashley Furniture to inform them no refund was ever received. Norea informs us now the check is pending and can take up to 21 days to be issued. I recorded my entire interaction with each staff member at your organization. New Jersey adheres to a one party consent law. I am so angry that I can scream right about now. I purchase a bedroom set back in 2014. The sales rep and manager twisted my hand to purchase a furniture protection plan cost of $199.99 through Montage MFS. Now 2018 the furniture got damaged I contact MFS gave them the contract number. They requested a photo description of what happened and told me only certain things would be covered. I provided everything and the approved the claim this took 2 to 3 weeks. A service company contracted by MFS called an to make a appointment like 3 to 4 weeks later. I said how come so long. That is all we have. The appointment was for today 10/30 between 12:30-3:30PM, no one showed, I received a auto call around 3:28PM someone was on in route on there way. I had to leave my home to a few minutes. Customer Service contacted me around 3:50PM and told me the tech was there. I said I waited 3 hours you did show up I am on my way back home I will be there is 10 to 15 minutes. I raced home and the tech did not wait. I am furious, they made me wait 3 hours and they could wait 15 minutes. They did not fill their commitment window. I am now contact the Ashley furniture store in West Long Branch, kid you not at least 50 rings no one is answering. Stay away from this store, do not buy any furniture protection plan. I could hired someone for $199 to come to my home and the furniture would have been repaired already. It is minor scratches and would have taken maybe 15 minutes. One of the more bizarre furniture shopping experiences I've had. The salesman kept trying to push an item that was more than I wanted to spend. I wasn't even that crazy about it, but my wife sort of liked it. He kept going to the manager and coming back with a lower price. Still more than I wanted to spend. There was another item that we were looking at, and the same thing. He even came back with the manager and I felt like I was buying a car!! Gave me his bottom line price and finally I was able to get out of there!! No I didn't buy it!! His price was $887.00 I later saw the same thing in one of the other 400 store we looked in for $670.00 !!! Ashley, as you may have read in my other reviews, has a horrible sales practice. All their furniture has a price with a red X going through it. It is obviously triple what any sane person would pay for it. The sales person will then accost you when you enter the store and act like it's a rare special event going on, and if you want the price, just ask him. How about this idea Ashley..........just put the fucking price on the furniture and leave me alone!!!!!! read more

Purchased a sectional in early January for my son and future daughter-in-law who just moved into a larger home with a new baby. My paperwork states "Confirmed Delivery Date 2/02/18." February 2 arrives with no phone call with the time for delivery. So I call Customer Care (you cannot call the store directly). The Store doesn't even have the furniture yet and is not scheduled to receive it until 2/7. Common sense would dictate that a call advising us of this fact would have been made. When calling Customer Care, I was advised that the order should never have been scheduled and that we should have been called letting us know approximately when the order would be received at the Eatontown location. Meanwhile, we have no furniture to sit on, and we have a planned a Super Bowl party on the 4th with many guests who will not have a place to sit. What are we supposed to do now? We ordered a whole living room full of furniture including complete set of solid wood coffee table, two end tables, and a sofa table. The first coffee table delivered arrived damaged, the second table was great until we discovered the giant crack through the bottom of the table. The third table delivered had a crack in almost exactly the same place as the previous one, except that the replacement was actually worse. The fourth table delivered has chips in the wood, the bottom is warped (and will probably crack like the other two), and a section on top where the wood is actually lifting. ASHLEY WONT EVEN CALL US BACK! The customer service people are terrible- very rude and have not been helpful at all. The manager treats you great when you're in the store, but then is happy to ship you garbage and ignore your calls afterwords. Wish we went somewhere else. read more

I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM ASHLEYS AGAIN!! Biggest mistake i could have made. To clarify the sales team is amazing it's the corporate office who needs to get here act together. Back in Feb. My boyfriend and I spent about $3,000 on a bedroom set, service was great. But when it cake for shipping day they told me they "no longer" had my head board in stock and that it would be available at the end of march. They then tried to sell me a new bedroom set which i DID NOT WANT, and gave me the classic run around and transferring me to every person in that office.Finally after getting a supervisor, they negotiated to give us a loaner which was only supposed to be "temporary"and had it delivered. FOR 3 months after that we never received a phone call about our original selection being not on back order anymore and i had to basically call every person i could to try and figure out what the problem was, and no one could give me an answer. I am baffled as to why i had to continue call their offices and ask why my furniture still has not been delivered to me. Also a handle broke on our night stand, ordered a new one a week after it broke WOMAN GOT OUT ADDRESS WRONG 3X and only after 3 phone calls it got fixed. Two words.. Horrible service. The buying process was fine. Furniture is expensive but well made. But as far as delivery it's a headache. We bought a new headboard, footboard, mattress & dresser. It got delivered yesterday except the store gave the delivery men the wrong size slats for the mattress/bed. So after talking to an employee yesterday she said she would figure it out & give us a call back.. Never heard back from her. A day later I called again & said they would call me back & again they didn't. A third time I talked to some guy who actually was able to help me & said our slats would be delivered on Saturday, 3 days after the first delivery. We don't have an extra bed to sleep on so now for 3 nights we are stuck sleeping on the floor because of their mistake. For the price of the furniture & $150.00 for shipping I expect to have it all delivered on time & assembled. NEVER buying furniture from here again. Rude customer service & horrible delivery time. BUYER BEWARE. I've lost count of the number of times I've been lied to. I purchased furniture at the beginning of February to be delivered no later than April 3rd. I was told one it arrived in the warehouse to be told a day later one of the pieces "left the warehouse" and they didn't know where it went. Bill Foley and Omar Rosen will say anything to get you off the phone. No lie is unreasonable AND they charge your credit card in full at time of order, NOT delivery. After the date of gaurenteed delivery came and went, I expressed my desire to cancel the order. According to the contract you can do that "with a prompt, full refund." What they leave off the contract is that you must be at the store in person to cancel. Ofer Rosen said it was genuinely an "impossibility" for them to cancel. The computer did not have the capabilities. To avoid the headache of going back to the store, I went through 3 other dates of gaurenteed delivery. *spoiler alert- I never got the furniture* When I told them I was coming to the store to loudly complain and cancel- guess what they magically found the capability to do- cancel my order. The sales representative Denzel was extremely patient and offered many great ideas!!! My fiance and I have been searching for furniture for my new home for several weeks now! After running into so many annoying and pushy sales representatives, I am so happy I walked into Ashley Furniture in Eatontown New Jersey!!! When entering this location the first time I was greeted by a very nice a professional sales representative. He was not pushy and allowed my fiance and I have the independence to search around the store. After going home and thinking about all the wonderful furniture we saw, we knew we had to go back. If i could put negative stars on this review i would. This by far the WORST experience I have ever had with a furniture company in my life. I had placed an order with them about a month ago in store and paid cash. The delivery was going to New York, in which I asked the sales representative and the person who checked me out if they deliver to New York. They both told me repeatedly that it wouldn't be a problem. This past Thursday the delivery man calls me on his personal cell phone to tell me that he is an hour away and will be there at 3:30. I am in class till 3:20 and receive a phone call that i cannot take nor recognize from the philly customer service line at 3:10. Apparently the order before me was not home so the driver came to me early, never called me to tell me he was there instead customer service did (a number i did not recognize), waited 15 minutes bringing him to 3:25 and left. I was home by 3:28 missing him by 3 minutes. I called him repeatedly in which he ignored every call. After waiting an hour to get through to customer service they told me "there was no way the driver would ever turn back." On top of this terrible experience, the customer service employees, specifically the supervisor, was extremely rude telling me to stop talking and interrupting her multiple times. She gave me no solution to the problem and instead told me I would be charged a 25% redelivery fee. I called the Eatontown store to get some type of clarity and spoke to Terry who assured me he would figure it out and get this settled. He scheduled my delivery for this Friday and apologized for the pathetic excuse they call customer service. I received a call today saying they are canceling my order because they already came out to me before and I was not home. I spoke to the supervisor Terry AGAIN, who "couldn't recall" ever placing my order for Friday. He told me technically they aren't canceling my order until I say so, but there is no way it will ever be delivered to me, because they actually don't deliver to New York at all (something that should have been told to me when i purchased the dresser in store and gave them the delivery address as well as double checked with them on the delivery). WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS. When I asked for a refund of the $400 dollars cash that I spent, he told me they only cut checks every first Wednesday of the month so I would not receive the check until October. This is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They will take your money and run and don't two shits what happens after that. You are better off saving your money and going to a LEGIT company that has reliable delivery men and educated employees. read more

We purchased a twin daybed for our daughter from this company. While the service in store was okay, the delivery service was deplorable! We had ordered the bed and mattress and had our delivery date set up. About 3 days prior to delivery I received ac automated call stating the 4 hour time frame of which my delivery would be arriving and I would receive a 40 minute warning call. Following the call, I received an email stating that I would receive ALL 4 pieces that were ordered. Fast forward to delivery day- I get the call that my order would be arriving. FIVE minutes later the truck was in front of my house. The gentlemen bringing in the items then tell me that my mattress is not being delivered. WHAT?!?!?!?!? I was told ALL pieces were being delivered. The one guy called the warehouse, who then called me. She went on to state that there was a call on file stating that they told me that the mattress was not going to be delivered. I told her all messages had been saved and NOTHING mentioned that I wouldn't have my mattress until that Thursday. I requested a 1 hour warning call fro the mattress delivery, since they weren't competent enough this time to give me the promised 40 minute warning call. After going back and forth, WE set up the delivery for Thursday. The day before I was texted and called that they would arrive between 10a-2p. Delivery day I received an automated message at 8:11am stating that my delivery would be at my house in the next 15 minutes. That's 1.5 hours prior to the earliest delivery time! I was on my way to work and no one was at the house to receive the mattress. The daybed we ordered has 2 drawers on the front, of which both have easily come off the tracks. Easy fix, I know. The bed is less than a week old in our house. While the delivery company contracted through Ashley, was very friendly - Ashley Furniture, more like Tr-Ashley Furniture's, customer service and product quality is subpar. read more

Went to pick it up to wait 20 mins for them to find it. Meanwhile I walked around to find the guy pulling it off a show room bed and stuffing it into a new bag. They tried to reason with me saying it was only on the bed for 2 weeks and still wanted to charge me full price. So 12 weeks for a used $400 bed set that people were laying on with there shoes on. Furnished an entire condo at the Jersey shore from Ashley. Being somewhat of a name-brand snob, I must admit I was surprised at the selection & quality of the decor (in a good way). Got a hip, modern, NY-loft-looking vibe for my space. Service from start to finish was impressive. My budget-busting gut-renovation took longer than expected and I had to delay delivery 3 times over the course of 6 months. Customer support team was understanding & helpful. At the appointed time, everything arrived in perfect condition. Delivery guys were amazing.....careful of my brand new floors & walls (without me saying a word). Extremely courteous. Put blankets under every new piece during minor assembly. Took their time to get it right. If you are uncertain about shopping at Ashley, do not hesitate. I stopped into the Eatontown store only because I saw the "Clearance" signs along Rt. 35. Never thought I would buy anything, let alone four rooms of furniture! I love every inch of this space.
