In store experience was okay, typical environment where sales associate follow you around relentlessly like starving children. Found the bed room set we wanted and after some haggling agreed upon a price. Delivery was the joke, and is the sole reason i cannot recommend this company to anyone. Delivery day rolls around someone calls me at 11am and yells "ASHLEY" when i pick up the phone, sure enough its the delivery driver. He proceeds to tell me that they are 10 minutes away. I reminded him that the delivery time is between 12pm-2pm and i would not be home for another hour. Delivery driver proceeds to tell me hes running early...obviously. I asked him if he could do another delivery and swing by later as im not home and wouldn't be for another hour, and wouldn't want him to wait pointlessly. Then he hangs up on me mid sentence, so i call back and ask him what his deal is. Driver tells me "i thought you were done talking", ok... Anyways, Driver tells me that he would have to wait by my home and cannot make another delivery, so i rush home and get there at 11:50am and no driver around. I call back the number multiple times and he does not pick up. Called the corporate store and they attempt to search him down, apparently he went to make another delivery and would be back between 12pm-2pm. 10 minutes later i get phone call from the driver who apparently answers phone calls on speaker in a diesel truck, and could not hear me so he starts yelling trying to ask me a question. Driver hands the phone over to a normal human person who knows how to have a normal and polite conversation and we schedule a delivery for a later time in that day. They roll by later in the day and lay down some sort of moving blanket over tile, and move all the furniture into my bedroom, they track mud and water into my home because it was raining and walked over brand new carpet, assembled the furniture halfased and did not use all the screws and bolts to assemble the frame. They also left a ton of glass in my home from the move blanket they laid over the tile. I had to purchase screws and re-assemble the bed frame my self. Hire employees who don't behave like children. Only children hang up the phone and yell at customers. Compltely unprofessional and rude behavior. I will never recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone, nor do any future business with you. read more

I had a really good experience with their store. The sales associate Doc was really helpful and followed through with everything we needed from me. He also made sure we reiceved all the discounts that they were offering that weekend. The piece I wanted was not in the store but online only and he was really clear with discussing all the terms with us so we would be aware of anything that might take us by surprise which I totally appreciated it. I am currently waiting on my 5 piece dining set and just called to find out it will be delivered in the next 2 days as discussed. I'm excited. I would definetely go back!!!!! read more

First off - I'm reviewing before my furniture arrives and am assuming it will be in good condition. You're greeted upon entering the store and almost given a private employee who can guide you around the store. My wife and I just wanted to look around by ourselves and the employee let us do that, but stayed near enough where we could ask questions easily. Very large selection of different quality furniture - sofas, love seats, bed frames, tables, lamps, etc. Most pieces are available in multiple colors. We selected a couch and told the sales person we'd take it. After that he applied some sort of coupon that reduced the price of the couch by about $80 and at the same time sold a 5 year warranty for $49. I don't quite understand why he did that - he could have sold the couch at full price with a 1 year warranty for full price, but we got a 5 year warranty and $30 off. The only negatives are that they are an outlet type place and have to ship your furniture to Texas from Mississippi, a process that takes two weeks. Their delivery charge is also a little sketchy - it's a $100 flat fee no matter how much you order to anywhere in Dallas/Ft. Worth. You can pick it up yourself if you'd like, but it's a 45 minute drive from their sales store to their storage warehouse. read more

Went in to buy bedroom furniture on a Tuesday for when my step daughter comes. We just remodeled house and sold the bedroom furniture. Found a set, said we want to buy it on the spot CASH. We were told that they don't put the orders in until Monday (6 days later) and the delivery time is at least 2 WEEKS after that!!! Why would I purchase furniture that I have to wait at least 3 weeks for? I need it in 12 days....that doesn't seem unreasonable to me. Will never return!! read more

My husband, a friend, and I went to Ashley the day after Thanksgiving. The first thing I noticed was the fact that there seemed to be an insane number of salespeople. We didn't get pestered too much, which was just fine with me, but the sheer number of salespeople got annoying when we hit the center of the store. There was one set that we loved right in the middle, and as we sat there discussing it, I couldn't help but notice that there were about 20 pairs of eyes on us. I was just thinking that I would have moved if I were a salesperson there, so that I could give the customers some space, so they'd feel comfortable looking at everything. Also, they were all sitting on the furniture around us, and chatting, and there were so many people that it was actually loud in there. The whole thing just felt awkward. We ended up deciding to keep looking that day. I just thought since it was Black Friday, they overdid it on the staffing. Well, recently we went back, and it was the same case. It was just odd how many salespeople they had lounging around, chatting, and just taking up space. The salesperson who helped us was nice enough, but he did get a little pushy when we decided we were going to wait on the purchase. Overall, they have a few nice sets, the pricing is all right, but they have way too many people working the sales floor to allow their customers to browse. read more

Wow,I wish I would've read the reviews before we ordered our couch. We ended up going to the store to find out answers about our delivery because no one will pick up the phone when you call customer service. So we are told when we get there the couch will be delivered in about two weeks. We were given a customer care email to communicate. During the correspondence via email we were told we had a delivery date of October 9 and that someone was going to call us the day before to set up the time frame of when they'll be there. Guess what? No phone call, no email, no nothing. I emailed customer care the morning of delivery to find out when they are going to drop off the couch at our house since I didn't get a phone call- no response. I then called the number to the store, waited on hold for almost an hour before someone answered the phone. I was told the information given to me about our delivery was wrong and that our couch will not be delivered until October 22nd. I was told they have the couch at the warehouse but the deliveries are backed up. So my couch is here but I can't get it. This is the very last piece of furniture I will ever get at Ashley furniture-Especially after reading all the reviews on here. read more

They will not tell you that lead time to get an order made and delivered is around a month out. They also will not tell you that upon arrival to the local warehouse you might be waiting even further past the date they guaranteed. If I knew I had to wait this long I would have shopped elsewhere. In the future I will not consider Ashley because of not being upfront with the shipping timeline and only providing me a date after they processed the charge to my credit card. read more

When we bought the furniture the sales person said we will have our furniture in 2 weeks. It took more than a month! The quality of furniture is ok..but they do not honor their warranty. Do not buy their expensive warranty or furniture. The sales person keeps following you all the time..despite me telling him to give me space!! Also be careful with their "mega sales and discounts". They can be very misleading. Double check the receipt before signing it. We found a few mistakes and additional charges that had to be corrected! Their delivery guys are the worst I have dealt with. They seem to have way too much of an attitude. Went to various stores looking for a new bedroom suite. One of the sales reps took my husbands phone and said he would alert us of sales and promotions. What I like was that the sales rep (Craig) wasn't harassing whatsoever which is a big plus for me. He eventually texted my husband about a promotion and on Halloween he patiently waited for us as we decided on a bedroom suite. 12/2 - Ordered a trinell loft bed for my son which he loved since the first time he laid his eyes on in September. We placed an order immediately paying in full. Mansour was our agent. He made sure and promised that we receive the product on 17th even though the finance lady printed it as 19th. On time delivery was my only requirement 12/3 - called customer care, said that they will receive the product on 7th and will receive a phone call for delivery. We were surprised and thought of early delivery made me and my wife extremely happy :) 12/7 - called customer service, said the product will be dispatched from manufacturer on 12th/14th dec. Was taken aback but still assumed its on schedule(Not sure why the the disconnect with earlier information). 12/14 - called customer serivce, said that they still havent received it.But I will get a call on 15th/16th. 12/17 - received a phone call confirming appointment a (4 hr window) on a weekday on 12/20. 12/20 - In the afternoon the delivery guy delivers the product and says that product cannot be assembled together since its missing railings which are mandatory to keep the furniture together. (This is exactly the kind of surprises that I do not like at the last moment. Note in a couple of days it christmas. My worst fear became a fact now) I asked the guy why did he get it in when there is an issue with the order. He speaks to warehouse and says that warehouse is speaking to the store and probably they can get railings out by today/tomorrow. I will receive a call back. After 1hr and 30 min the store is still trying to figure out whats wrong with the product!!! I called them numerous times with no concrete response from the store or warehouse. Ultimately one nice agent Angelic says that there is a manufacturing defect and will have to be returned. I was told that I will receive a phone call from Aaron(Storage Manager) by evening. No callback hence called them just before 6:00pm. Says Aaron will call on thursday noon. 12/21 - No response from Manager until noon, called him and says he gonna call back before EOD. Received a phone call just before 6:00pm that he will hear somethign back on Saturday noon and he will surely call back by noon. (That means my son is not getting his bed for christmas. I was angry,hurt,disappointed.) 12/23 - Its little over noon,no response from the warehouse or store manager. Wife says "u short fuse better stay at home, I am gonna check at the store". Reached store by 1:15pm. Spoke to store manager Aaron who started checking at a different store. Aaron says he can make it deliver on friday /saturday next week. I have no idea why he did not have the same information on Wednesday. My wife waited for an hour almost. She cancelled it for a bad cutomer service from store,manufacturer and delivery. They were willing to refund 100$ which she gladly refused. Also note they wanted to send me a temporary bed which we gladly refused since that could mean they can take their own time for delivery now. Issues: - Long delivery time - 4 hr window of delivery. This is difficult if you all are working professional. - A product that cannot be assembled is sitting at my home since 12/20. - They will be picking it up on 12/27(Thats the latest update). My refund will take another 7-10 business days after they receive the defective product!. I will have their heavy furniture sitting at my home all through Christmas. - No callbacks from the store/warehouse not even store manager Aaron on the status. - It took them 4 days and my wife to go physically to the store to figure it out that they have it elsewhere and will be delivered in 7/8 days. Other store will let you know the same freaking day. This is my personal experience with Nebraska: Delivered product in 4 days from the date of order. We had some issues with the order and they were more than helpful for an even exchange and confimed delivery date on the same day. On the day of delivery, the delivery guy noted the same issue that we had in our earlier purchase. He called me and informed that it would be useless for send it in. (I loved this guy). Thats a good customer service. On the other hand Ashleys took 3 weeks for delivery and did put that product in my home which cannot be assembled together. Now during christmas its taking space and my sons emotions are running high whenever he looks at it. Take your business elsewhere if you are hard bent on time. They have no reason to care for you. Its only money that matters to them. I personally will never recommend Ashleys to anyone. Its a very bad experience for me in such a beautiful time of the year . I should have known better.... Poor quality, we spent $4500 to buy a living room dining table and a china. I returned the first china cabinet for big defects in more then one place. For the replacement shipment I asked to inspect the unite before shipment. Guess what! the bottom piece had a "belly" and the upper piece is swinging on it .when both are attached you can see a gab between the bottom part and the upper part on both sides. Not normally a yelp kind of guy. But I went in there yesterday with my girlfriend and had a great experience. We are a young couple in our early 20's moving to our first place on our own. We've been saving for a while now and have enough to pretty much furnish our entire place. What I expected was to walk in and be blown off because we are young in a nice furniture store but Blake Long, an RSA, gave us all the help we needed. Took the time to show us everything we asked about and then some. A lot of salesmen might take one look at us and roll their eyes because we're younger and not take us seriously but Blake treated us great! She visited the store and found items she liked; I was going to use my store card to purchase the items. Salesperson Paul three-way texted my GF and I to discuss the financing of the items. Soon after advising Paul that we would not purchasing the items (franchise stores require a down payment and corporate stores do not), Paul contacted my GF (not the cardholder) and attempted to present her more options. She's not on my account. Why the hell is he contact her and presenting options for my financing? At best, he could have continued the three way text. Highly disrespectful. Don't contact another person about my money. (6/15 853pm). I have the text messages and emailed paperwork to prove the comment below isn't truthful. We bought the a living room set, and we were also sold protection plan. We were told that if anything happens, even if accidental damages as covered. It got damaged due to an accident, and the company refused to fix arguing rip vs crack, etc. The sales people were totally lying on how a great protection plan it is. This is probably the worst furniture store you can shop at. I purchased a floor lamp and was told it was 25% off. The assistant manager, even though she told me she was the manager, said it was not 25%off, only the floor sample. The sign on the lamp did not indicate this at all. Also keep in mind I had already signed the papers! She finally agreed to give me the discount, but then I was told the fixture was in "as-is" condition! We bought over $4000 in furniture at this store for our son's new apartment on 12/30/16 and told them that his move in date was 1/12/17. They said no problem. Now we are being told that NONE of the furniture will be available until the END OF JANUARY. I bought a brand new leather chair, couch, and ottoman in November 2011. Today, (8 months) later, a repair patch that was covering a cut on the chair's cushion came off. Why did it have a repair patch on it in the first place? I bought it new, not damaged. Anyway, I went to the Ashley Furniture store where I purchased the chair from in Frisco, TX and asked for a new cushion. They said they will only give me a new cushion if the technician can't fix it. Apparently you've already fixed it once, and it only lasted 8 months. I don't want it fixed, it shouldn't have been damaged in the first place. Very poor customer service experienced at my visit today. My husband and I are on a budget so I was trying to determine if the Ashley store could match an online price (that was $900 LESS than the store price for a dining set) . When it was ultimately determined that they couldn't match, I politely thanked the woman for her time and started to leave. She gave me a very exaggerated,sarcastic and unprofessional "ha!good luck with that". I sincerely did appreciate her time and honesty, however,I did not appreciate her sarcastic response when she realized she wasn't going to make the sale. There was an issue with my daughter's bed cracking, and then I found out the additional warranty with accidental damage coverage didn't cover my particular 'accidental damage' the way I was led to believe it would. However, after posting a review of that experience I was quickly contacted by someone at the store. I was shocked that someone there not only took the time to read my review, but was reaching out to try to remedy the situation. So my rating reflects the efforts of the store to make things right, and keep their customers coming back. I would've given 5 stars if it had all been handled like this when I had first contacted the store and the warranty company. Overall though, I am very impressed with their efforts to make their customers happy. read more

First of all, the entire time I was in the store I felt like I was being followed around by a vulture. Then after finally deciding on a couch, love seat & chair/ottoman and being told more than once it would be delivered on Thursday, come to find out it wouldn't be delivered until August 9th! We asked to speak with the manager, who by the way was completely unprofessional & just flat out rude. She told us that the normal turn around time was two weeks, but if my calendar is correct, that's more than a month!! Instead of apologizing for the "miscommunication", or as I saw it, the salesman just trying to make a deal she was extremely rude. Needless to say we won't be back at the Frisco location & may never be back to an Ashley store period!! We ordered a dining room set and when it was delivered one of the chairs were missing the plastic chair pad for one of its legs and the chair scratched our wood floor. In addition to the floor being scratched, the table had scratch marks on it. The table was also wobbly. It appears to be used and not brand new. We suspect it might have been a return from one of the customers. We called and the customer service rep said "no, you can't return it because it's against our policy" we pressed on and she said " oh you bought insurance for them you should file for insurance" we told her we can't file insurance because ashley sold us used and defective furniture. She finally agreed to give us money back and take the furniture back. She was terrible at customer service. She did not offer any apologies. She acted like we were stupid and she can just says things to make us go away. We are extremely unhappy with both the quality of the furniture as well as the customer service. I think their tactic is training their customer service personnel to just say no so people will back down and won't argue and just live with the defective furniture. I am very sad and disappointed. We still have a set of sofa coming and I am now really worried if the sofa is going to be just as bad... Sigh.. I don't even know who to call because they keep telling me to call customer care and the lady whom I talk to is in customer care and she won't let me talk to the manager. The associates and especially the management teams DO NOT care about customers or if you make a purchase with them. It's like having to deal with used car salesman. There was not even a single hint of customer service. This store allowed me to leave TWICE without making a purchase over a really, for lack of a better word, stupid problem. Management did not care and even went so far as to say that they could only do something to correct the problem if they think they (the store) did something wrong. Are you kidding me? I am a retail manager and I can honestly say that I would be horrified if my associates or members of management behaved in this way. As much as I hate it sometimes, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, and no customer should leave a store unhappy if the retailer can help it. Do not buy from here. After purchasing "top quality" couch and love seat recliners, the mechanics stopped working on ALL sections within less than a year. I tried calling their "24 hour" customer service repair line, and got a machine that said to call back during normal business hours. OK, in the last few months since we've rec'd billing, we have experienced a "We don't care" attitude from Ashley Furniture. My salesman, Eddie Cote, told me on my 1st transaction that I would receive the 24 mths 0% financing. When I went back a month and a half or so later to make another transaction (to buy more), we were told we were getting the same deal! Well, we did not! GE Capital has different promotions on different days, and altho my 1st transaction was at 0% for 24 mths, the 2nd transaction is at 0% for 12 mths then it goes to 29.99%. Here's the problem, when making a minimum payment, it will go to the 24 mth deal first, and anything paid over the minimum will go to the 12 mth deal, so in essence, I do NOT have a 24 mth like I was told I had, I have a 12 mth if I want to avoid being charged a 29.99% interest rate. GM, Jerry White, tried to help, and even called me yesterday to tell me it will be taken care of. Today, he called to tell me they will NOT be taking care of it, and I am stuck b/c GE Capital owns the papers on these. DO NOT LISTEN TO YOUR SALES REP....EVER....read your contract no matter how long! This is a lesson I have learned and believe Ashley should've taken care of by paying off my loan, and either refinancing me, or taking the hit and keeping my business forever. There are too many furniture stores out there that can run Ashley out of business just like The Roomstore is now. Time will take care of this, and in the meantime, the customer gets screwed once again. read more
