We have just recently moved to Texas and moved here without furniture. We went into the store on November 30 Black Friday weekend and were told certain items would be delivered in two weeks. The only reason we ordered them was because they were going to be delivered in two weeks because we currently have no furniture. It is now been over a month and I have not received one call. I have had to make several calls checking up on the order. Called today and once again the date has been set out another couple weeks. The most frustrating part is that the customer service rep did let me know that there were some items available but of course no one called me to let me know. I've worked in sales for over 12 years now and when you promised someone something you need to make sure that you follow through. I understand that Covid is going on and manufacturing has been down however on the business side you need to make sure that you are communicating with the customer Especially when someone is expecting some thing at a certain date. read more

My wife and I went to Ashley Furniture in Frisco to buy a new couch and love seat. We found what we were looking for and had a relative good experience. When our sales person Stephen Doeren "DOC" was jumping up and down on the couch we thought looks pretty sturdy.... That all changed 10 days later when our furniture was delivered. At first site the furniture looked fine. There were no noticeable defects and the leather looked good. Three hours after the furniture was delivered we sat down on the new couch to watch a movie and found out that the frame was cracked. It was not connected to two legs on the left side of the base. Luckily the form we signed stated "report any defect within 24 hours" and we reported it in three hours...Should be fine right...WRONG. We received the biggest "we don't care" attitude from the customer service center and "there is nothing we can do about it" from the Frisco location. The manager of the customer service center (Bridget) said that they conducted an extensive investigation and came to the conclusion that it was our fault. When I asked them about what protocols they went through during the investigation she told me that they called the driver. We tried to file a warranty claim and the warranty office said "We don't have anything in the system for you yet, because this should have ben fixed by the customer service center. It probably goes without saying, but our furniture buying experience has been a complete nightmare. I wanted to post this not to punish them, but to try and spare someone else the heartache and frustration of dealing with this company. People we worked with: Stephen Doeren "DOC" - Sales Person, powerless to fix anything and once he received his commission had little interest in even helping out. When I went back to the showroom he couldn't be bothered speaking to me just herded me to the powerless customer service agent. Bridget - Customer service, calling her a customer service agent is an insult to their profession. She was the rudest person that I have ever had the dis-pleasure of dealing with. Sandra - Customer service center manager, The only thing we ever heard from her was "This has already been handled, and there is nothing we can do about it! Susan - Director of Customer service, requested pictures of the couch and we never heard anything back from them. Ian Uter - Frisco Assistant Branch Manager, Had his assistant call us to tell us he was working on it, and then much like Kyser Soza disappeared never to be heard from again. Tommy McMansway - Final say on if the warranty would cover the defective couch. I never spoke to him just hear "Tommy said no so there is nothing else to talk about". It surprises me that some Ashley selections are not in stock during my visit, especially for what appears to be mass-produced furniture. Be sure to read the fine print regarding warranties and construction material--some of the foam cushions and fabrics seem flimsy to me, and be wary of the difference between "faux" and "real" leather. You do get what you pay for, and in some instances, I'd be lucky to get 3-5 years of daily use out of some of the furniture they have on display. While I realize that there is only so much space you can dedicate to your showroom, I find it a bit irritating to learn that some of their supposedly popular online product is NOT available for viewing in-store. What's more unusual is that a competitor down the road (i.e. The Colony) also carries Ashley product, has in-stock items, AND and is priced BETTER (i.e. cheaper) than Ashley HomeStore, regardless of the numerous sales I've heard pitched. I have my an eye on a particular accent piece that I plan on purchasing, but I will most likely purchase it elsewhere. Working with assistant manager Tiffany, she's been amazing. Extremely knowledgeable about her inventory, ordering processes, warranties, etc. Very personable and real. She steered me in the right direction about what materials and products were best for me and my clawed cats. I felt like she treated me as if I was her own family. Highly recommend. We can't get thru to anyone to find out about the status of our order- it was set to arrive at our home on or before Oct 8th- then we received an email that it would be before the 14 th- now nothing- can't get thru to anyone and get the social media run around- we paid for our piece of furniture Sept 5th- they have our money and our furniture and no one will talk to us- go online and try and use their 'bot"- "someone will get back to us sometime"- this sucks! Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. This store and company should be ashamed of themselves. I have been continually lied to and now I feel like they are stealing/withholding the refund that is owed to me. Do NOT ever shop at this store. They have no onsite manager to handle issues and the person that handles their "returns/ refunds" is never available. I signed my cancellation document in the store on 9/7/21 and was told my refund would take up to (5) days to show up in my account. That never happened and then I was told it would be 7-10 days...still nothing and then oh it can take up to 10 business days. Such BS. I'm a single mom and don't have extra hundreds of dollars laying around to be played with. NOW I called Customer service (because I can't get the store on the phone) and that person told me the order was just cancelled 2 days ago. WTF!!!!!!!! I repeat NEVER SHOP AT ASHLEY HOME STORE. I went to purchase some furniture at Ashley's in Frisco. I have bought lots of furniture here before. I will say everyone is so nice and helpful. I especially wanted to give a BIG SHOUTOUT to Frisco Fred who was so super sweet and very helpful. He exceeded our expectations. I ordered a couch late June. The salesman insisted it would arrive in 3-5 weeks. I was skeptical because all the furniture stores in the area had been quoting me months on furniture due to COVID. I had just moved and unfortunately my old couch didn't make it through. So I was a bit on the desperate side. 5 weeks go by, not a single word or follow up from the store. No problem, I'll just call customer service who then proceeded to play me and send me back and forth between departments. Finally I was informed that it was going to be September 3rd now. You know, no big deal. It was a little inconvenient but I understood because of the pandemic. Well September 3rd came and went. No call, no follow up, no reassurance, nothing. I went through the same process and they informed me it was going to be delivered at the earliest October 10th. I finally was at my breaking point. I got a refund that day and bought a couch that night from Nebraska Furniture Mart. Picked it up this morning and it is now in my home. Ordered a couch in Mid-July, they recommended delivery without assembly since "all they do is screw in the legs" which would save me around an additional hundred bucks. That seemed helpful and the associate helping me was very kind. I wait OVER TWO MONTHS, calling for updates but no one picks up the phone considering the automated hold message has a wait time of "over 60 minutes". I finally get the text to schedule delivery and the couch is dropped in my foyer. Since it's been almost three months since i ordered it, so I tried to return it. Drove to the store since the phones aren't an option, and was told if I wanted to return it, that I would have to bring it to the distribution center myself since I didn't purchase assembly. Again, this was their idea and selling point. So now I'm stuck with a couch that I don't need, that I can't return. Absolutely longest and worst experience I've ever had buying furniture hands down. Could not recommend getting your furniture from other places. In fact, I bought an entertainment system from RTG next door the same week and it was in my house the following week. Came in for the Labor Day Sale and Frisco Fred went above and beyond helping us out! We were able to browse all possible without feeling pressured or rushed and he made sure we walked out with exactly what we needed and were looking for. After Fred helped us get our items picked out, Tim was incredibly friendly and helpful getting everything officially ordered and paid for. We've worked with Tim a few times now and he has always been such a pleasure to work with! We've always loved our Ashley Furniture, but between Fred and Tim, the experience today was by far the best we've had! read more

Too bad there is not less that 1 star review. I bought a set of two beds from Frisco store on 11/15/2022 (order # 0879627135), 6 weeks prior to closing on my new house. Paid full price for them as well. Mid December I was told that some of the order is not available. The beds finally arrived and upon putting them together, they cracked the left side rail. The delivery guys refused to take the bed back, but told us that he will take a picture and leave notes. After several phone calls and a physical visit to the store, we were told that a technician would attended and attempt to fix it. The tech who came actually made it worse and glued the rail with the footboard and told us that it's not fixable. Several phone calls later, they agreed to send the railing. We told them that the footboard is also damaged and need replacing but they refused to send the footboard and wanted to send another service tech, who didn't even know why he was attending the call. Last Saturday they sent out a rail and told the delivery guy to collect the damaged one, but since it's glued together unless he breaks the bed, he can't take the damaged rail back. Don't even mention the number of phone calls and time we spent. It all turned out to be a very stressful experience. They should have a courtesy of replacing the bed all together, or at least listen to us and send the correct replacement parts. Not to mention they sent some pieces which nothing to do with the broken bed to our old address too. We will never order anything from Ashley's, our experiences from other vendors have been positive.7 weeks after we made the purchase, my son still sleeps on a broken bed, I am dealing with a dysfunctional customer service department who hangs-up phone calls, promise after promise for a supervisor to call us back. This place is going down the tubes, and fast. Tried to furnish the majority of my house upgrade here. Poorly trained sales people, that were not able to answer basic questions, or provide a quote. Wasted hours there on a Sunday. I will never go back. When I finally informed the Sales person that I was leaving, I walked out, and the manager walked out a moment later. Since this was a large potential sale, I thought he was coming to speak to me. I went over to talk to him, and he made it clear that he was not looking to speak with me. When I informed him of my visit, and how unsatisfied I was, he was more focused on claiming ignorance to the situation. NEGATIVE STARS! Why isn't that an option? I was given a call that my complete order was not ready so they rescheduled me for two weeks. Then the next day I receive a confirmation text and email. So I call the following day to confirm that I am supposed to get my furniture. She tells me yes that 4/5 items will be delivered and the last will be delivered in two weeks. So my husband stays for delivery from 8:30-11:30, no furniture. So I call. The lady says there aren't any notes that say you had a delivery. And if I had any issues to call customer service at the 866 number. Call the 866-436-3393 number and they tell me they don't deal with that. To call the store directly. Which I did. So why am I getting the run around when it's ASHLEY'S FURNITURE PERIOD!!!! Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Never again. Go somewhere else. Previously prior to this I bought all of my furniture from Ashley's. I wish I had read reviews before buying. We went into the store last Christmas season in need of a couch and found what we thought was good deal. Made the purchase adding the additional coverage just in case. Took delivery in January and in less than six months the upholstery start pilling. Called for support and was initially told that wasn't covered. Escalated to a manager and was told that this could be an inherent issue with the material used. This would have been nice to know at the point of sell but live and learn. An appointment was made for a technician to come out to review and address this. In the meantime the couch started to creek and sag. A request was made to expedite the appointment and the information about the structural issues was added. Just prior to the tech coming out the frame failed. The tech arrived at 6:30, was nice and professional but was not prepared to address the issues the couch has. He noted that the couch frame is made from chip or wafer board and is not sturdy. I agree with this assessment and had I known this at point of sale I would have opted not to purchase. I was told they would need to come back to do a repair and I would be contacted by Ashley for this. Ashely does not have a customer support email but their Twitter account does direct you to DM them with issues which I did. As of yet I have not heard from them and really do not want to wait on hold only to be further frustrated with this. There are better options out there. Look around and ask questions before you buy from Ashley. Your recourse after the fact will be limited. read more

This has got to be the worst furniture in Dallas to business with and not just this location, but the company as a whole. We purchased furniture in December of 2021 from Ashley. We knew that everyone was dealing with supply issues, but these people take that nonsense to the next level. We were told our furniture wouldn't be delivered until April 2022, ok I guess that's gonna have to be fine. April came, no furniture. We were then told it would be June or July. After repeated phone calls a portion of what we ordered was delivered. We were then told the rest would be delivered possibly by September. After more annoyed phone calls we were told the items we were waiting on had been discontinued and now they wouldn't be coming. Mind you we bought those pieces 6 freaking months ago. The customer service within this company is beyond pathetic and complete with employees who clearly don't have any type of grasp of how to do their jobs. Getting the same answers to questions from one employee to the next is an impossibility with this company. When we paid for our couch the cashier was pretty nice and went over all the charges, warranty, and delivery. When we got a call from Ashley Furniture rep I could barely understand her because she was talking so fast. When I tried ask a question, and to make sure I understood correctly, I got more attitude. Had an excellent furniture buying experience with Ashley this weekend. Our salesperson was Jason and he did a wonderful job. We let him know we were looking for living room furniture. He invited us to tour the showroom at our leisure. He was attentive but not pushy and when we told him we wanted to take some time to consider our purchase and return at a later date, he was fine with that. When we returned the next day to buy the living room set, there were no unpleasant surprises regarding price...in fact, we received a credit for a protection agreement we purchased and never used on a piece of furniture we purchased from Ashley over 10 years earlier. They wont replace it and it cant be fixed the company that sold me the insurance policy never pays for anything and I am having to sue them. Never ever shop at this store! Management is so unprofessional and I have never experienced such poor customer service! Came in today with a bar cart I purchased online that came shattered and the manager acted like he could care less and asked me to leave the store since "it wasn't his problem." When I asked him his name he proceeded to lie to cover himself for his unprofessionalism. Before ordering I asked if I could return in store if I had issues with it and they said that was fine and when I did exactly that the manager refused. I could have given zero if possible. I went in to buy a product and I liked one but found cheaper price online on Ashley's website. Manager rudely agreed to price match and first they tried to charge $149 for delivery which was free online, so I declined it and opted for warehouse pickup myself. Second the Sales rep I worked was not completely aware( or lied) of Ashley's return policies. She gave wrong information on how I can get full refund of a product before delivery if I dont want it or for any reason. She took my signatures on few papers which contain disclaimers and I haven't read refund policies trusting her. I paid for the product which will be delivered 3 months later and less than 20hrs I went back to cancel the order becuse I found better product at different store which was available right away. Now they said I will be charged 10% penality for cancellation for the product which wasn't even available for 3 months saying restocking fee. Don't even bother. I'm a 24 year old girl who totally got taken advantage of. I'm SUPPOSED TO BE moving into my new house in 2 days however that's just not the case anymore. I noticed yesterday I hadn't gotten a call for my delivery time that my sales rep, CHRIS, told me I would get so I decided to call him myself. He told me that "ohhhh yeah it actually won't be delivered to our warehouse until June 3rd and then we'll have to make a new delivery date for you". I am supposed to move into my new house on June 1st. When I purchased this furniture back a month and a half ago they had all of this furniture in stock. He told me they would hold it for me in the warehouse until my delivery date, and now they magically don't have the Furniture anymore. Who should you buy furniture from? NOT Ashley Home Store!!! We purchased a sofa and oversized recliner a few months back. The cushion on the recliner has started breaking down already after only 5 months. I filed an insurance claim (yes, I purchased the costly insurance) but the claim was denied. The Guest Relations Person in this store told me initially that was correct. It was a manufacturer issue! She entered a service ticket, supposedly, and that is where we get caught in the hamster wheel. After multiple visits to the store, phone calls not returned, emails not responded to, service techs not showing up, then being told there is no service request even though we have a SR number, lies, falsehoods, not claiming responsibility, that's not my job, you have to contact the warranty company (done), you have to contact the manufacturer (done), we are caught in this loop that never ends. I live in the world of technology and I know without a doubt there are systems out there that "speak" to each other and handle customer service appropriately. This is NOT ONE of them!!! We bought a sofa, 1 end table and a tv console. We had to fight with the delivery reps to get all 3 pieces delivered on the same day. Once we won that fight, we thought we were good to go. WRONG. The delivery guys were careless about moving our new furniture in. They did not allow us to inspect before forcing us to sign and running out the door and down the elevator. We immediately noticed that the tv console "wobbled"... one leg was considerably shorter than the other. The shelf had 3 dings in the wood. We called to say "Hey this was just dropped off, but its defective"... we were told 3 weeks from now a tech would come out to "repair it". Ummmm, no... I didn't buy furniture that needs repair, I bought new, perfect condition furniture. Customer service refused to do anything else. We went to the store where we were told to "call them again"... we did, right there in front of the store manager and the supervisor at customer service told me the policy was to repair the furniture under the warranty. In no way shape or form does the policy state NEW furniture delivered with a defect is required to be "repaired"... I could have saved a ton and bought used or cheap furniture if that were the case. We are left with a wobbly console table and no idea if anyone will bother to do anything. I'll run fast before buying ANYTHING at this company, they don't care about you ONE BIT. We'd have refused the table if we'd had a chance. Apparently this was our mistake. We should have RUN after the delivery guys. I'd be willing to bet money they are trained to get you to sign quick and get out before you notice the terrible quality of their overpriced crap. read more

I have purchased from Ashley in the past so I know their products and quality. this time i went in to purchase a new sofa sectional. the color i wanted was on back order for almost a month. I bought it anyways as the sale rep told me it might come in earlier than that. Well to my satisfaction it did! it was after that it all went down hill...there is a 4 hrs delivery window so I actually used a PTO day from work to be home for this couch delivery, when they got there it was the wrong color in the right couch style! i was devastated. apparently there is a one number difference in the brown color vs. the red colors. so I had to reject it and start over. the worst part was that right before they attempted to delivery the wrong one I had just sent off my old couches. So now it has been since April 17th without a place to sit in our living room. we spend a lot of time here as this is our tv room as well. so now the right couch is ready to be delivered and ashley furniture wants me at home for another 4hr window during the week. I am dissapointed because this company does not work with people who have to work! I cannot just be taking my PTO or calling to my job to sit around for a couch. they do not offer after 4pm deliveries and Saturdays are almost non-exsistent. they said I had to wait 2 more weeks for an available saturday. their customer service says they cannot do anything about delivery schedules because it is handled by a delivery company who makes their own routes and to adjust my window time would affect every body elses window times.....talk about feeling non-important. i called 3 times to complain and see if they will work with me but to no avail i am to only have the options for days and times they offer. i even threatened to cancel my whole order and it was not useful. i spent over $1200 on my purchase and I was very unhappy with the way things turned out. read more

I have purchased furniture here on two different occasions. The first time was for my living room and bedroom, and then I returned a few months later for my dining set. If you go to this location, you HAVE to ask for Wally. He is the best guy they have on the floor and he does such an amazing job every time that I'll only go to him from now on. The whole process both times was so smooth. It took me longer to pick out what I wanted then to complete the purchase. And while some items may take a longer time to be delivered, it's only because so many people want that item. If there wasn't a back order on quality furniture then it would be rooms to go next door where nothing is sturdy and everything is cheaply made. Delivery truck was late and left a giant oil stain on my brand new driveway. Called immediately and was on hold 3 times with 3 different people for over an hour. Promised a repair. Never any response. 6 more calls with really long hold time and still no one has come to fix. 6 promises and never any one even came out. This has to be the worst furniture store I've ever Ben to. The first time I came in I was greeted by 5 sales people. Immediately annoyed! I needed to pick out a sofa as I only had a couple hours to browse. I decided on a nice sofa there. It was very pretty white leather with matching side tables and center tables. I decided to purchase the whole set. After filling out the paperwork the sales man told me it would be 6 weeks before the furniture came in and possibly anther 1-2 weeks to deliver. I didn't want to chance waiting two months on a sofa as I needed one. So I declined and said thank you but i can't wait. He seemed vexed. I left. A few weeks later I needed a dining room table. I decided to try it out thinking maybe the table wouldn't take as long. I went in and the sales associate was VERY polite and warm. She showed me a beautiful table and set it next to furniture that was similar to mine. Great experience with her. She needs to work at Z gallerie or something! So I purchase the table and she says they will call later that night for delivery. I never received a call. I called them and got many answering machines. After leaving a series of messages i go back in the store a couple weeks later. I ask what's going on and they tell me they can't help me that a different department. I leave. About two months later they call. They tell me it's going to be two more months till my table arrives. It's on back order. Then they offer me a 50$ gift certificate for waiting. Well sorry but you couldn't pay me 50$ to go in that store again. I politely decline and ask for a refund. The woman tells me I have to go inside the store and fill out paperwork. I go to the store and ask the person at the desk for the paperwork. They tell me I have to call and they can't do it there. I call the lady back and she tells me the same thing. I'm getting the run around. I went back to the store after a not so nice conversation with a manager. I filled out the paperwork and am supposed to get a refund in 3 weeks. Did not have "sharks" on my tail, but they sure talked up their furniture to a fraudulent rating. I bought two "top grain" leather sofas but they came saggy and I am pretty sure the frame is slightly bent! To top it off, I was told about the great deal I was getting and then I saw these same couches are sold with the 5 year warranty for WAY Cheaper online! My advice: go to Havertys for quality. Save your money and headaches. All they care about is making a sale. We are new to Texas. We originally went to Ikea then worked out way over to Ashley. The salesman is nice but we ordered the furniture Aug 2 said it would be in the week of the 19th. As of today, they dont know when it is coming in. I am not happy paying for furniture that I ordered and the money already taken out and they dont know when it will be here. This is unacceptable. If I knew it would take this long, I would have looked at other places but this is not acceptable and I have to pay for them to ship it too.I would look some place else if you need furniture. Update:Now lied to by sales rep. Delivery date keeps getting moving back. Spoke to the store manager and that was a waste. Never told certain things about this order.I keep asking the sales person questions about when the pieces were coming in 3 times to confirm the order. One piece was suppose to be late in Sept and when I asked him on the invoice what that date was for . He stated the completed order in which one piece was going to be that late . The others were suppose to be here this week and they are not. Now its another week then add 3 days to schedule delivery but the money has all been taken out and nothing to show for it. AVOID THEM. TYPICALLY SALES PEOPLE AND THE MANAGER SUPPORTING HIM. New update:As of today 8/26/2019, wife was told some other delievery date and 5 days to get out for delievery. I was told Friday 8/24/2019, that it would be in the 31 and they would make an effort to get it out ASAP but that wont happen. They took the full amount of money out and we have to wait for our stuff. WE WILL BE GOING IN TONIGHT TO CANCEL OUR ORDER. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND BAD BUSONESS PRACTICES. STAY AWAY. GO TO ROOMS TO GO OR SOME PLACE ELSE. UPDATE: had to make a threat of cancelling order and now it was all of a sudden in but now it was delivered damaged and not hooked up or checked to see if it was working properly.
