HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, DISHONEST LIARS. When purchased our table set from them we were told, "oh you have three boys? I'd definitely get the warranty." Just spent a couple of hours to make my first claim and they said I was denied because the pictures that I submitted were normal wear and tear. Updated review****** So we FINALLY were refunded for our bed for a reselection. Needing a bed so incredibly bad we were insured we were going to be taken care of. The manager told us 20% off our purchase but since it was nearing closing time asked if we could come back in the next day. We come back and he pulled back on his word and said only 15% so we agreed, as we found a nice sturdier bed that we kind of were set on. We also upgraded our mattress. They were able to get the bed to us fairly fast, within the next week. The installers were nice but one did not speak any English and there was some confusion on them picking up the bed that was broken for the credit. He seemed a bit irritated. So he puts together my bed half assed. Literally looking underneath the bed there was screws and paper he just built over. But whatever we got our new bed everything is going pretty good....and wouldn't you know the headboards legs were never screwed in. He just rested the headboard on top of it. So boom we are laying down and our heads just drop. It's literally slanted. I'm just so sad and so sick of this place. Of course all of my problems happened during bed time when I actually use the bed. It's pretty despicable. I spent over 2k on my purchase now to keep getting the short end of the stick. Large showroom of clearance furniture. Yes they have a lot of newer products that could break your bank, but me and my parents settled our business here after roaming Living Spaces. We first purchased our dining table set with 6 chairs for personal pick up. We loved a couch at Ashley's but we wanted to shop around. We ended up coming back to this store to purchase the couch and change the pick-up option to delivery for both items (after a long stressful argument with my parents about delivery and pick-up). Yes their system was down when we came back the second time and the wait was long trying to purchase. My family is patient though. My mom even got a job recommendation from a worker there because she was tidying up some displays on her free will. The manager waived the delivery fee for the second item (THANK YOU), and my parents were happy with their purchases. Definitely coming back here to purchase a couple of throws because my mom really wants them as a Christmas gift. Representatives were very nice and helpful. Most of my home has been furnished from the store. The Ashley brand of furniture is high-quality and very reliable and long lasting when I got married, we furnished our first department with their tables chairs and bed set now that we are homeowners. We have a living room, home office, and another bedroom filled with Their pieces we have recently been renovating our home due to water damage and have had to refurnish two rooms. The best thing we did was drive to Lathrop to look at their selection, because not only do they have the high-quality furniture of the Ashley brand, but it is more cost-effective to shop there than their main stores, they had an incredibly huge selection of variety of colors and textures to choose from and very helpful and patient staff. we want to give a shout out to Lyn and Arnie for walking the showroom in circles with us as we selected our furniture, rugs and decorations. Also Victor and Derek helped us with loading our truck as we purchased some items on clearance and had to take them home that day. Asia and Ranessa helped us with paperwork. Spouse was able to speak with manager who finally stated he'd return our money for daughter's furniture but it would need to be picked up first & that they'd reach out to her for a pick up date. Been over a week no call from them to pick up furniture & still no refund!!!!! 4/10/22 as of now damaged furniture picked up and Our bedroom furniture that was rescheduled again for June actually came in early and has been delivered. Delivery team set it up yet left behind the trash & what I'm hoping are extra screws washer & an Allen wrench they used putting it together but hey finally got our bed we ordered back in November. I must start off by saying I was super nervous about purchasing anything from the store based solely on the yelp reviews. I really wanted to purchase a beautiful sectional Tanavi from the store. After visiting the store and speaking with a sales associate I knew this sectional would take at least 2 months to deliver (if not longer). I still had my current sofa so I was totally ok with the wait. I did notice that if o bought the same sectional online it was going to be cheaper and when o brought this to the attention of the sales rep he got his manager and completed a price match. I was so glad to say that I received my sectional with no problems a week before thanksgiving! I would recommend this location based on my experience and they also have a pretty good clearance section where you can buy items at a reasonable discount. This will be the first and last time I ever purchase something at this store. I purchased 2 end tables a month ago and scheduled for pick up for today on 09/02 at 2pm we called on Aug 24th to change the pick up time to 1pm. When I came to pick it up the receiving team told us that we needed to confirm with the guest services department. As I went in to tell them I had arrived to pick up my 2 small items they said that the appointment was never confirmed. They show both items in stock and show in their system that I called on specific days to confirm the pick up but they told me I must have talked with the over seas people and they didn't send the confirmation to the store and said that there was nothing they can do to release the property that I already had paid for to me. The lady I didn't get her name was a little on the Ruder side and if you're in a guest service position that is unacceptable. If you're thinking of spending your money here don't. They are a big box store and once I mentioned a yelp review they said they will deliver it to my house for free. When I told them where I live they complained about how I live in an out of service area and it will take an extra 2 weeks to deliver. Never again! read more

Nothing about Ashley speaks to professionalism or good customer service. It took 90 minutes to "negotiate" the pricing for my bed and dresser. Buying a used car is easier! Then, the dresser never showed up on delivery day. No phone call, no email, no notification whatsoever. Customer Service can care less and I've still yet to hear from anyone at the store, nearly a month after my missed delivery date. If you can buy your furniture and take it home same day, go for it. RAVE!!! My wife and I went to the outlet store for the first time about theee weeks ago in search of a bedroom set and sofa. We were lucky enough to be greeted by a salesman named Sean Graf. The selection is enormous, and we found exactly what we wanted. It was the first place we went, so we did want to check out a couple of other furniture stores. We could not find anything that matched up to what we found at Ashley. We noticed the poor reviews though, and had second thoughts. We are glad we did not change our minds. Sean was very accommodating and helpful. He had answers for every question and reassured us that he'd keep on top of our order and be communicative after we placed our order. He did not dissappoint. Sean did ensure we were very aware of the delays we have all heard about with our ports. He was very careful to not oversell, and we very much appreciated that. Long story short- our furniture arrived today, weeks ahead of plan and it's beautiful. My wife is tickled, and we're very happy to give this positive review to Sean and Ashley Furniture... Beware of this place if you think you're getting a deal. I was looking at an office chair, price tag attached to chair said $499. The guy who came to help me said it was $549 and showed me a nearby sign showing numerous pieces, the chair included, at $549. He said, "I guess we'll give you the $499 price." Gee, thanks guy. The chair wasn't going to be available until late a November (not their fault, I understand things are stuck on container ships right now) and I needed something sooner so I decided to see if I could locate it at a nearby Ashley store. Well, in doing my research I find out the online price of the chair is $324! I looked it up by model number so it's definitely the same chair. Things I'd rather do than deal with Ashley HomeStore Outlet: *Eat 45 day old sushi before going to a party with no toilets *Roll 45 feet across mousetraps while completely nude *Be interrogated at Guantanamo Bay I think you get the idea. First off, let me start with the good. The store is spacious and there are many great looking pieces of furniture. This is right about where the good stops. Now onto the bad. Our lovely sales associate, who shall remain nameless, definitely wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but he was friendly and tried his best. Despite us telling him at least 10 times what we wanted and in what size, he somehow managed to write down the wrong size. Since we were not versed in Ashley HomeStore product numbers, we did not catch this error and only found out once the product was assembled. We immediately contacted the store to let them know they goofed on the order and this is where the fun began. Apparently there is nobody capable of making any decisions whatsoever at the store. Being a "manager" at this store must be the cushiest gig in town because you don't have to do anything at all except kick the can down the road to the "regional manager" who apparently cannot make decisions either. After two weeks of calling, we finally got a resolution and were told our pieces would be delivered and they would pick up the wrong one. This is the part where I'll give them kudos. Despite it taking an act of congress, a lamb being sacrificed on a full moon, and ancient Egyptian chants, they did make things right. The furniture arrived on the day they said it would and the delivery drivers were very friendly, but the amount of work it took for us to get this screw-up (completely on them) fixed was just appalling. I was very inclined to give them one star, but am feeling generous since they did ultimately make things right and thankfully that went without a hitch. This store lacks some serious management though. I'm not sure if it's the corporate structure or what, but to not have a store employee/manager be able to rectify these types of situations timely is going to result in your demise. If it was just lazy managers not wanting to deal with it, then shame on them. I honestly don't know which way this leans, but the end result is an extremely poor customer experience. They're very good at the sale, not so much at anything else. I also changed my mind and am reducing it to one star because while they did make it right it shouldn't take that much effort and persistence from a customer to do so. read more

Fast forward one month later and I didn't get a call from shipping company 2 days before delivery. Called Ashley but getting someone to pick up the phone is a chore it self. After dealing with auto system and it transferring me to a person at the store they notified me that Mack did not set me up for shipping. Instead he set me up for in-store pickup!!! After being transferred to Jeff aka the crook he refused to accommodate me for anything. Said soonest he could deliver was 2/13/25 and he wasn't gonna do anything else. When I proceeded to tell him that was unacceptable he literally told me "your pissing me off and I'm gonna just cancel the order because I don't want to deal with you." I almost just almost lost it. Apparently Jeff doesn't need anyone's business he thinks WE need them. After calming down I asked hey I'll just pick them up today since THEY ARE AT THE WAREHOUSE JUST SITTING THERE!!! WAREHOUSE MANAGER REFUSED SAID EARLIEST TO PICKUP WOULD BE SUPERBOWL SUNDAY. SERIOUSLY?!!! These workers are not there to fulfill and be compassionate to people who have waited a month for there items sitting at a warehouse being refused to pickup for another 2 days. Warehouse manger needs to be fired. That's Entitlement and it's unacceptable. You literally take my money and expect me to put my tail between my legs and wait until your ready. So many red flags here. Store manager (Derek) was the only apologetic one there but literally told me his hands are tied to and he wasn't gonna waste his time with warehouse manager because upper management let's warehouse manager get away with this type of stuff. Purchased sofas that got lint all over them the cushions are deflated the lint peeling or whatever it is called is all over. They talked us into the 5 year warranty which we paid $500 for and guess what our claim was denied with photos clearly showing what they look like in less than 2 years. We bought a dining set here. The costumer service at first was okay. Fast forward to delivery, we were not happy with the set. I called Ashley's and was told there's a no refund/no return policy. They claimed this had been explained to us at the time of purchase--it wasn't otherwise I wouldn't be wasting my time. I was given such a run around & their lack of costumer service became unbearable. I tried to talk to someone at corporate and was unsuccessful since I was told the stores make their own rules & policies. I finally went down to the store and was told that there was a law that prohibited them from reselling used furniture however not one person could tell me what this law was. I ended up making a complain to the Better Business Bureau & heard from a gentleman named Gary about 5 days after who ended up being the regional manager and was really helpful. Even with Gary & Chris (the store manager) assistance the pick up and delivery of our new table took over 2 months. This whole fiasco started December 16 & ended March 9th. I believe this whole thing could have been avoided if Ashley's had better costumer service and communication with their costumers. It is wonderful that Ashley Furniture touts a Customer Centric experience however we found that not to be the case. We purchased a living room set from an Ashley store in Northern California in 2021 along with a 5-year warranty. When the reclining love seat and sofa began to fall apart, we contacted Ashley and referred us to the warranty company. We contacted the company only to get the run around. It has been over a year and again today we have been told for the 6th time they will call us back (we have no faith they will, never have). Now both pieces are basically garbage. Ashley in store had NO, NONE interest in assisting us. All they told us was it is our problem and to deal with the warranty company. I would not recommend Ashley to my worse enemy. And the fact that this is the only way for us to get a message out to contact corporate says a lot about the company hiding from its customers. I am hoping this get the attention someone with integrity to get this matter resolved. Ordered a mattress listed "in stock" in early March, with a scheduled delivery date 2 weeks from the date of order. 2 days before delivery, they canceled delivery, and rescheduled another 2 weeks out. 4 days before the second delivery date we get another call saying the mattress, which was listed "in stock" will not get to their warehouse until May 9th and the earliest they can schedule delivery is May 16th. They sat on our money for 2 months and kept moving back the delivery date for an "in stock" item; and on top every time we talked to their "customer service" they were rude and argumentative. The order has now been canceled, and we can only imagine how long it will be before we see a refund of our money (not credit). I would recommend trying COVID-19 before using Ashley Furniture for anything. read more

Perfect sales man, nothing against him. so I went to Ashley homestore to buy bedset, Ashley promised delivery and assembly on 04-29-2021. when they arrived to deliver and assemble they found out the head board was broken. the delivery person left other boxes unopened and promised they will replace the headboard shortly which they came back on 05-03-2021. the delivery guy found out in his truck even before bringing the headboard into the house that it was broken again and I was told the same thing again they will come back and all that. so they came back again on 05-07-2021 with the new headboard. just when they were about to install everything, the delivery guy found out that headboard is broken again plus the stuff they left on the first day(04-29-2021) came to deliver had damage too. then I went to the store on 05-09-2021 requesting a return that I don't trust this bed set anymore after three failed attempts. they advised us that they will call their corporate and let us know in 48 hours. today its been week again and we haven't heard anything yet. so I have paid $3100 and have room filled with broken stuff or unopened boxes. I bought this for my mother who have bad knee and needed a lower bed then what she had. she can't go upstairs because of the knee and other health condition. she's been sleeping on the floor since first day of delivery. wouldn't have gotten rid of her old bed if I knew this was gonna happen. posting the picture of the bedroom. went to the store on 05-16-2021 to talk to someone and the store manger( Jessy) laughed it off like it was joke to them and said they will let me know in 2 days. its 05-22-202 today and they still haven't get back to me nor they pick up there phone been calling them since 2 days. read more

Never got a notification for delivery so I call and they said delivery for late June and I said no go ahead and cancel. She said it's canceled. Meanwhile I'm looking around for other furniture and in July I get emails for delivery. I go to the store and ask them wtf, I cancelled it. They never cancelled my order. The rep tried to save the sale and I told her I'd be away on active duty orders during August so I wouldn't even be here for delivery. They, in store customer service, offer to hold my furniture while I was gone. I get a call while I'm away to confirm delivery and I tell them the situation, they say ok. I come home and get to the furniture store and they don't have my furniture and give me a delivery date of Sept and Oct. like wtf You're going to send my order to someone else Bc I'm not home due to active military service when it was previously agreed on that it would be delivered the next day I get home. So the items were delivered. The items were defective, did a return for refund. They picked up the items right away, 14 days later, still no refund. Called several times and they promise to call back with more information on my case but they never do. Finally got hold of someone today who said the store will charge 15% restocking fee despite the items being defective. Each and everyone of the customer service representatives keep telling me to call the store, and store never picks up the call. So no accountability with Ashley, I'm still out over $350 with 15% restocking fee out of my pocket IF I ever get my refund. read more

I was shopping for a sofa for work, Didier was very helpful in selecting a piece for me. Made the whole process simple and quick.

Ordered a child's loft bed. The two delivery guys seemed pleasant even though there had been some banging of the boxes. My pet peeve is people who don't take pride in their work. They put the bed up and it initially looked ok. But low and behold the planks that hold the mattress up where missing the screws, the base board was cracked in half, the shelves were not put up and there were screws missing for the shelves. It is horrible that they didn't consider that this bed was for a child. When you call to get service you are on hold for quite some time. Ashley's furniture looks great but what good is it if it's not put together right. ( this is specifically about the Ashley Distribution Center) I must say that I've had other furniture delivered from Ashley within the past month and I didn't have any complaints. read more

Sofas and sectionals: They increased the prices this week because of the "50% off sale" and if you pay cash it's an additional 5% off. Was told by friend that they save money, but RC Willey, customer service is better. Going back there. Same prices but better quality. Sales rep Victor said that my daughter (light 4 year old) jumped on a couch and broke it . Lol we were there 15 min, and if a 4yr old can break furniture off one visit why the heck would I buy it for my home. (For clarification it wasn't something my daughter could possibly do, but a sales rep saying that to I left the store upset but thankful I didn't spend my money there. read more

Went to buy new furniture for my daughter git bed set the day I got delivery furniture came in damaged and when I asked them that I am missing parts of furniture the delivery driver said he will get missing parts by evening. Contacted Ashley store they told me same thing that they will have parts delivered now I'm being told they are out of parts and they will have to send in tech to see what can be done I paid a lot for furniture and it's Ashley furniture not some cheap store. Will not recommend to anyone. read more

Where do I start?... I wish I went elsewhere to buy my couch. Horrible customer service, was continually getting wrong information, does not return phone calls even when they say they will, gave me only part of my couch when they told me it was ready, told me they would deduct a $100 off my order for the confusion and bad service but never did.
