Do not ever buy the extended warranty on the furniture protection plan that Ashley sells to you from GBS Enterprises. This warranty company will not stand behind their warranty. We had a 26 inch vertical crack in the wooden post of our bedroom set's headboard that occurred naturally. After numerous calls and several photos submitted to GBS they denied the claim, even though it says in the warranty contract they will cover cracking of wood furniture. So do not let Ashley's sales team talk you into buying this extended warranty by telling you they will cover everything because they won't. We made the mistake of purchasing our daughters bedroom furniture from this store. When the men came over to deliver the furniture, I guess they ran out of the proper screws to put the furniture together. They ended up using drywall screws, and hardly a week later someone sat on the bench with the drywall screw in it, and the leg completely broke off. The person who sat on it was a nine-year-old girl who weighs probably 60 pounds. We have called the store not once, not twice, but THREE Times to get this issue resolved. They have said all three times that someone "will call us to come take a look at the bench" and we've yet to receive a phone call. I ordered a bedroom set in November 2021. When I went to pickup my furniture at the warehouse they were missing the rails for my bed set. They said I would get them in January. They lied and now we are in June and they are in stock 7 montha later. The managers told me that I would get free delivery since I waited so long, but they backed out and said I will not get free delivery. The managers also said they would call me when my rails were in stock but they never did I had to keep calling to get updates because they never would call. From purchasing to delivery, we had great customer service. The living room set was something we had to pick up on our own due to it being final sale/off the floor, but the staff was very helpful in helping us load it into our truck. When our bedroom set was delivered, the team worked quickly and allowed us to make sure everything looked good and worked properly before leaving. I would really reconsider before doing business at this location. First of all we were mislead on the sales price of the items we purchased. But we went ahead and bought anyway. We purchased on 12-18 and were told our delivery would be the following thursday12-24. After leaving we received a call that our salesman forgot to have us sign a document so a couple of days later we drive 40 miles to sign and correct his mistake. All still good at this point. After signing we confirm that our delivery is still set for 12-24. The next day we get a call saying it is moved to 1-7! We call back and ask why our delivery is being moved 14 days out from the original date and we're told that our item is on an extreme backlog! How is that possible when our sales person never said anything about a backlog and the associate the previous day didn't mention it. Nothing about it made any sense. When we told the guy on the phone to just cancel our order he said that we'd have to come in to do that. We asked for a manager and the call was conveniently dropped. Called back and a lady quickly processed our refund. Three weeks prior we had a terrible experience buying online and having a dresser delivered. It still has not been resolved. It may sound like we are the type that complains about everything but that's not the case at all. If we'd have been told upfront about a backlog then it would have been fine. We'd either have waited it out or chosen something else. The whole thing was handled terribly and it's obvious that somebody was not honest with us. Think twice about doing business there. read more

Long story short, I would not spend another dime in the store. We had issues from day one when our sales person told us everything would be delivered on Saturday after our purchase (6K) on Tuesday of the same week. One month later we received everything and had to have a tech come out to do repairs two days later. Quality control is bad and the store manager... Their goal is not to satisfy the customer, it's about their profit. I've shared our experience with people and when I tell them who we dealt with they said " oh... you don't want to go there. Where were they when we were shopping. Lol! I did look at the Yelp reviews and gave them the benefit if the doubt - silly me. My visit to this store started out horrible as I walked right by several sales reps who never greeted me. I don't like pushy sales people but a simple hello, hi, or how are you works wonders. It just let the customer know you are friendly and approachable when they are READY for help. I sat there laying across beds for at least 45 minutes staring at available associates as they walked right by me before Monica came and saved the day. Monica was with a customer but simply asked me if I had been helped and when she learned that I hadn't she politely asked me to wait and she more than made up for her coworkers impolite behavior. I got a notice that the warehouse didn't have the product, so it would be delayed until December, then it got delayed again to January, and now I'm being told to wait until March for the chairs I bought. I called and spoke with a Manager at their customer service line, and they told me there was nothing that could be done. I said I felt lied to, and that I needed chairs for my dining room, and that they couldn't help me. They absolutely destroyed any trust I had in them as a company. Jett was awesome! I came in one day to browse after finding nothing I liked at other stores. Jett was the greeter, he politely explained the floor layout to me, answered questions and was all in all a pleasure to talk with. I came back with my husband a week or so later. We confirmed he was working. We were willing to browse and wait for him while he was working with another couple. He was a wealth of knowledge and help. He even carried tables from other parts of the store to the living room furniture we were interested in so we could see if it all looked good together. He was able to explain, in depth, the products used to produce the items and how it would wear. Our new furniture was delivered yesterday in perfect condition and looks BEAUTIFUL! I was visiting Mesa for Thanksgiving. I wanted to buy a recliner for my mother. She and I went to the store in Mesa. We were greeted at the door, which was nice. The salesman asked what we were looking for. I answered him, 'we are looking for a recliner'. He didn't look at me. He asked my mother, 'what color?'. I answered 'grey'. Again, he did not acknowledge my presence (not verbally or through eye contact). He asked my mother if we were wanting manual or electric. Again...same thing. (I am a Muslim woman who wears hijab, my mother is not. I suspect that may have had something to do with him ignoring me). We walked to the back of the store to look at what was available. Mom was deciding between two. She chose one that was $299. Salesman took my card and rang us up. While he was doing that, Mom changed her mind...she wanted the other one which was $150 more. So salesman did a second manual charge of the difference ($167). They also charged $100 for delivery (which was on the first charge). Well, we get home and out of curiosity I checked Amazon and found the exact recliner for $50 less, plus free shipping with my Prime account. I was already upset about the disrespect I was shown. I mentioned it to Mom...she re-affirmed that she noticed the salesman's total disregard of me. I decided to cancel the order. I called the store that same evening at 7:30 pm and got an automated message to call back during business hours (10 am to 9pm). I tried customer service the next morning, was able to cancel and got a confirmation number for the cancellation. I traveled back to my hometown that day. The following day, Ashley called my mother saying that they can refund the first charge but not the second ($167) charge because that was charged on a manual machine. I called the store and the rep absolutely insisted that they could not refund the charge without the original card present. Can't refund an electronic payment in this day in age? The only alternative she offered was that 83 year old Mom, go to her bank and get a statement from her bank that she does not have a card (with the same last 4 digits), then go back to Ashleys with this 'statement'. Then they would be able to refund her card. Obtaining an official document from the bank that you don't own a card with the same last four digits seems like an unachievable task. If the salesman had followed proper protocol in the first place and completely voided the first recliner instead of manually charging the balance, this would not have been an issue. I told the rep that I will just dispute the charge with my bank. She told me, 'good luck with that' in a negative tone. The whole experience was very impersonal....definately a corporate entity with all employees following a rule book with no regard to logic. This is partly why Amazon has done as well as it has. They pride themselves on customer service. I am actually pleased that I am still able to gift my mother the exact same recliner that she wanted....without giving my business directly to Ashley. The chair still comes from Ashley, but I am happy to know they will have to pay Amazon their dues....and I save $167! read more

So this has been ridiculous. This is my first and last time dealing with Ashley furniture. First I buy an overpriced couch because gf wanted a new one. Not Ashley's fault of course. Then they set my delivery date almost a month out. Annoying but I can deal with that. Today was the delivery date. I get a phone call at 11am from the delivery guy, I tell the guy how to get to my place. Then he tells me he's only delivering part of my order, not all of it. Frustrated but told it should only be a couple more days to get the rest. Now my gf is the only one home and works the night shift. So I have her stay and wait for the guys to arrive when she should be sleeping for work.  Unfortunately we can't get anyone else to keep an eye out for the guys. The promised time they were supposed to arrive comes by. Nothing from them. I call and the phone line says "Ashley is currently having a problem, goodbye" Wait a couple hours and get the same message. Finally at 3:30pm, I call and get ahold of a woman named Ivy. I explain the issue to her and she apologizes and tells me that she needs to check with dispatch and she'll be right back.  Puts me on hold for 10 minutes.  Suddenly a man answers the phone "Thank you for calling Ashley Furniture, how may I help you?" I'm already pissed off but doing my best not to take my anger out on this guy on the phone. I re-explain the issue to him all over again.  He puts me on hold for one minute and comes back.  Tells me that the partial order that was delayed won't arrive until december 26th.  This is now almost 2 months after my initial purchase date, and more than 1 month after the promised delivery date. He also tells me that although they called me and told me they were on the way, and although I had received a text message from ashley that my ottoman would be arriving in 20 minutes (11:30am).  They apparently made a last minute decision and canceled the order. None of this was communicated to me is the biggest reason I am so pissed off. My poor sleep deprived girlfriend now gets to go back to work with no sleep when she could have been sleeping this entire time. The guy apologized to me and admitted that he doesn't understand why they A. Didn't communicate to me about the fact that part of my order was pushed back by more than a month. And B.  Why they called me, agreed to bring at least part of my order, then canceled that after telling me it'll be delivered, and without contacting me to let me know it's been canceled. I have received no phone calls, no text, no email from Ashley Furniture store.  Clearly this is a company that does not care about us once they have our money. Furthermore, the agent on the phone did say he wants to make it up to me, but he is unable to do ANYTHING for me until after it is delivered in December when I'm probably more pissed than I am now read more

I have a beautiful and comfortable leather motorized couch set. I paid for GBS insurance at the time of purchase. The left side motor went out January 2020. It took 3 months to get a person to come out for a repair. I was told it didn't work because power switch was not turned on. I know it was, because I checked. The man got it to work. Within 2 days it no longer worked. I have called numerous times. I have spent hours calling, emailing, calling Ashley in Mesa, and even put in a new claim online-picture included....no response. I know Ashley Furniture Store is a separate entity. I don't know how to get my couch fixed. I am so very disappointed. read more

We had phenomenal service in the store however this is where it ended. Their delivery is a complete cluster!! We placed 2 orders over $5500. One item was delivered damaged. The delivery was a no show 2x On the third delivery the item was delivered without damage HOWEVER it was delivered over an hour outside of the timeframe. When they delivered the chest one of the delivery men had a difficult time and hit the wall 3x. When i immediately pointed it out, Jose (lead) became argumentative and refuses to take pictures. I asked for his manager's name and he initially agreed but then became noncompliant, coming back onto the property without permission - ignored both requests to leave and refused to provide me with his full name, manager name or call his supervisor. It was not until I prepared to call non emergency that he took photos and left. This is a delivery team that should not be allowed in customers homes. *** Full transparency Ashley customer service offered $50 credit in an attempt to remedy the situation. I refused the $ and asked for the complaint to be escalated so that no one else is put in this situation should they order from Ashley's. read more

One of the worst buying experiences I have ever had. I ordered a couch on 3/23/19 and was assured I would have it in no later than 6 weeks. Salesperson was aloof and I even asked her at one point if we were bothering her! Should have left then. Got a call the couch was ready a few days before the 6 week mark and was told not asked the delivery date. That date was not convenient and when I asked for a new date, I was told the earliest was 2 weeks later! A few days before the rescheduled date I called to confirm and was told the couch was back ordered. Huh??? I was then given another delivery date one week later. A couple days before that date I was called and told oh, sorry, the couch not ready. Now I have a new delivery date for 5/31, nearly 10 WEEKS since I placed my order. We'll see!! read more

Great in store service from Ed. He was helpful and didn't rush me. Bought two couches and other pieces. 5 stars to the store. Delivery came and this is why I give 2 stars. My two accent chairs were brought in house without plastic covers on them. The gentleman carrying them in carried both resting on top of his head - his sweaty head (Phoenix AZ). I immediately pointed out to the "lead delivery guy" the wet round spots from the other guys head. He shrugged his shoulders and said, its hot. I said, I understand but....I don't want these spots- what can we do? He said we will send someone to come clean them. To me, he insinuated I could not send them back because of this. He made it seem like my Only recourse was to have them cleaned. On top of all this, not once was an apology given by either delivery person. My other issue is the sectional couch with a chaise lounge started wobbling and Squeaking whenever someone adult or child would sit on that part of the couch. I called customer service to report the spots on my chairs and the chaise Lounge issue. I was on hold 37 minutes before I talk to someone. But never mind that, when I told the representative everything I had gone through not once did she say I'm sorry to hear that and gosh I'm sorry for your experience let's try to make this better. All she said is can't get someone out there till next week can you make that work. I was not impressed to say the least. So....I wait a few more days before someone comes to evaluate my situation. I sure hope Ashley makes it right. I bought from them 12 years ago and had a great experience and was hoping this time would be the same- so far - not looking that way. Customer service is worthless took me 3 days to get ahold of them I was on hold for 20 to 40 minutes for the first two days and only four five the third day when I finally got ahold of them. I had purchased a 5 year plan for my sectional couch and one of the pull handles for the recliner broke for a second time and apparently the $279 I paid does not cover faulty pieces of crap pull handles it's only $15 to buy one but this should be covered they should just give me one since I gave them $279 for a five-year coverage plan clearly these handles are faulty because it's the second one I've had to replace in the two and a half years I've owned furniture I bet they have a huge stock of them because they know that the part fails regularly. My boyfriend and I were in the market for a sectional couch and got an ad in the mail showing that Ashley Furniture was having a 50% off everything in-store sale. Dream come true! If I was going to be spending money on a couch, I want it to be good quality and comfortable as hell (half the price doesn't hurt either). We decided to go scope out what they had the day before the sale to beat the crowds, and it turned out they were starting the sale a day early (SCORE!). Rafaela helped us out at this location. She greeted us as we walked in, was super helpful answering all of our questions, and was not pushy at all. She gave us plenty of time to look for ourselves and would check in occasionally. We ended up purchasing the couch (for 50% off) as well as some wall art (50% off as well). After seeing some negative reviews concerning delivery damage, I decided to wait to leave this review until the couch was delivered. I am so happy to say that the movers were professional and friendly and our couch was delivered in pristine condition. The whole process was so painless and exciting. I definitely would recommend Ashley to my family and friends, but I would urge them to wait for a good sale. read more

HORRIBLE! Ashley HomeStore on Southern doesn't answer their phone. Ashley HomeStore doesn't respond to e-mails. And they are not responsive on chat. We are still waiting for them to assist with a rug we ordered AND paid for on July 23. We actually had one of their phone agents tell us (on August 27) that we might need to go back to the store since the store on Southern didn't answer their phone. If you buy something from them that you see in their store and it happens to be a "direct ship" item from the manufacturer, you can forget about getting any help from Ashley on it. Coming from a retail background way back, I fully believe in the theory that customers only post reviews if their expectations are exceeded or if they are very dissatisfied. Unfortunately this is one of the few negative reviews I have on my yelp account. My fiancee and I just bought a new home and naturally were very excited to get a brand new living room set (sofa/loveseat/recliner) for our new space. We went in and per usual, a very enthusiastic salesperson came up to greet us. He was just the right amount of 'helpful,' not hovering too much and not absent. We picked out a set we liked and went to the back to set up financing. The GE Capital remote financing system was down for the day so the staff took my information and said they would call me if I wasn't approved. Fast (pun intended) forward to 3 weeks later when they finally were able to deliver the set. I was the first stop on the delivery route which was nice however the delivery people seemed to be in a huge rush. They made me sign a waiver stating that I would not claim damages if they were to damage my house or the furniture itself. They quickly got the loveseat and recliner upstairs but struggled a little with the sofa. After scratching up the paint on my walls and gouging marks in my drywall, they quickly set it down in front of my front door and told me they couldn't get it up there and said that I would need to call customer service to get a refund. So I did just that, I called Customer Service to say that I needed a refund and that I needed to schedule a pick up. Customer Service then told me to call the store I bought it from to receive the refund. Okay, fine. I called the store who seemed less than pleased to give me my refund, explaining that it didn't fit and that I would also need to schedule a pick up. They told me that they would then charge me $80 since I didn't refuse the furniture at the time they dropped it off. Um, last I checked no one, including the delivery men, told me I had the right to refuse at that point and I wouldn't have to pay the $80. By this point I just want the sofa out of my house and the money returned, so I agree to pay the $80 delivery fee and am told that Customer Service will call me to schedule a pick up. A week and a half goes by and no call from Customer Service. So I call the store to explain that I haven't received a call from Customer Service and need to know what I need to do to get a pick-up scheduled. I was transferred to someone at the store who was extremely rude on the phone and told me that I needed to call Customer Service. I asked her if there was anything I needed to tell Customer Service (like an order number or ticket) and she said "I guess..." I call Customer Service by this point (sorry this story is so long) and am extremely frustrated. I am really nice and completely appreciate people in any kind of service industry so I explain why I am frustrated and want to know how I can just get this sofa out of my house. The Customer Service rep asked me if I had disputed the $80 service charge or anything like that and when I responded 'no' she said she was confused why no one had called to schedule my pick up appointment (you and me both, friend). So we set up the pick up appointment for 2 and a half weeks out because that was the earliest time they had! By now my fiancee, who isn't quite as patient, called the store to ask why we weren't provided with better customer service. When the salesperson who answered the phone wasn't giving any answers, he asked to speak to the manager. The manager on staff was extremely rude and sarcastic. Along the way we had told all the salespeople that we just moved into a new home and are wanting to buy 2 new beds, a new sofa to replace the one that was too large, and an additional recliner. That could be more than $3k in sales to them! They refused to return the $80 delivery charge unless we purchased a brand new item on the phone right then so my fiancee just rented a uhaul truck, drove the sofa to the Ashley warehouse, and dropped it off. I am still in the midst of waiting for the $80 delivery charge to be credited to my account. But I wanted to share my experience with everyone so they can go into the purchase informed. The selection was great, I still really like my loveseat and recliner. Just everyone (salespeople, delivery people, customer service reps, credit reps, managers) were very difficult to deal with...this coming from someone who is very understanding and patient! Bottom line. Write down everyone's name you deal with along they way just in case you have to dispute things down the line. read more

I went to Ashley's to get new bedroom furniture for our guest bedroom. I was greeted by bubbly and smiley Marisa. I only had about 15 minutes to pick out and pay for the bedroom set. I came in with an ad, she walked me right over to it and then showed me the mattresses that were also a steal. Although I didn't get out in exactly 15 minutes, I was in and out in about 20 and had purchased really nice furniture and really comfy mattresses for hundreds of dollars less than other places (including the 2 other furniture stores right next door). I'm a fan and will be back I'm sure. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because they don't seem to have the same flexibility for shipping as do many other furniture stores (they needed almost a week's notice, whereas most other places deliver the next day). I want to take a moment and thank the store manager JOE from the Ashley Homestore - Superstition location. Over the past few months I have been going back and forth between GBS claims and Ashley Hometsore Customer Service. A few months back our bed developed a crack in the footboard and ever since we filed a claim back in July, I have been on numerous calls and have been told everything from "your claim was never started", "the technician who came out never made any notes" to "you need to call so and so, we don't handle that". It has been a VERY frustrating situation. It wasn't until I was able to finally ask for a store manager who introduced herself as JOE. She was a breath of fresh air. She told me she would send this right away over to our escalation team. She dealt with the couple of phones calls I made directly to the store. She was able to handle everything I had been dealing with for a few months, in just a few days. I came into the store and when she knew I was there she came right over to me and apologized for everything I had been dealing with. She did some overrides for me and made sure I left much happier. I walked in this store on Monday around 11am. I sat in four different chairs, examined several, did 2.5 laps around the store and walked out. Not a single person said anything to me! No one even acknowledged my presence. I walked in, money in hand, ready to buy and walked straight out. A simple "be with you in minute" would have kept me there and they would have had a sale. This store and their processes are the absolute worst ever! Called many times with no one answering for over 25 minutes each time. Put in a $15000 order, suppose to deliver today, confirmed yesterday, no show! Called back , another 35 minutes until someone answers. No apology, just you are not on the schedule! Warning: Ashleyhomestore sold us a twin bed frame that is 2" larger than the foundation. When I complained they sent a tech who said all items meet specs. They offered a swap but beds they offered they would not offer a guarantee that any bed would be any different. I objected and asked if they could get me measurements to determine it another frame would be better for foundation purchased from Ashleyhomestore. Last time I talked to #ashleycustomersupport I should be dealing with the store and that I knew what I was purchasing. Even though the store did not have a floor model or detailed measurements. I'm not sure what I'll do as of yet but I want to warn people and get them to realize that I made a purchase with them in good faith and they broke the trust.Please call store at 480-222-4663 and give them your opinion. This is by FAR the worst customer service company I have ever purchased something from. Do NOT buy the extended warranty because it's a joke. We called to have a few stains fixed from my daughters birthday party and they basically sent someone out with a spit rag and tiny bottle of cleaner. He said the stains were more than he could fix, and he would update the report. 3 months later and we are being told we have to pay to have it cleaned and then they will fix any stains moving forward?? How does that even make sense? I've been transferred from person to person and can't get an answer on anything. Everyone says they will call you back and they never do. I would never do business from them again. Awful experience. We would have bought a different couch if we weren't sold on this "amazing protection plan". Horrible. I typically don't write reviews but in this case, I decided I needed to. On Wednesday evening my family when shopping for a couch at 8:15pm. My husband and I took our 4 tweenage children. We knew what wanted so we thought it would be quick and easy. We have purchased from Ashley before. We were greeted by an older woman who looked less than thrilled to see us. Any question I asked was met with a very impatient, snippy reply. She then followed us all over the store, I presume because she wanted to make a sale but instead, we were so put off by her bad attitude that I turned to my husband and said I wanted to leave ASAP. This is probably the most uncomfortable I have been during a shopping experience in a long time. I'm not sure if this is her usual demeanor or what, but it was a bad trip! read more
