The people in the store are excellent. Joe was our guy, he was great! However... on the delivery end, Ashley Furniture is TERRIBLE! They were supposed to deliver on Sunday but cancelled because their truck wasn't in the area. What?!?! We rescheduled for today, Tuesday, and they cannot deliver until tomorrow. We are waiting for a living room set, dining room set and bedroom set. Give me a break! Who screws up this much? These guys! Probably will not do business with them again. read more

I asked questions regarding the furniture-they gave me misleading information about the product I was interested in; then the customer service person became rude and asked why my question was such a big deal-she couldn't seem to understand that a customer wants straightforward information about the product they want to purchase; when I said that customers have the right to ask questions about what they want to purchase, she became argumentative, then told me "have a nice day!!" and slammed down the phone in my ear. read more

I researched on Ashley's website and found the 3 living room tables I wanted. The online deal was 40% off. I printed off each item and we brought it in to the store. We were helped by David, who was a charming young man. We gave him the ad sheets and told him we wanted to order them and wanted to pay the ad price. David worked his magic and got us what we wanted. During our time in the store, David was very personable. Every detail of our deliveries were well communicated ( by phone and by text). buyer beware!! please don't buy anything from this store. the management team and customer service will not care about you or your money after you complete your purchase. do not buy anything that is blended leather!!!! it will fall apart within the first year. we spent over two thousand on a large sectional that we can no longer use. the pieces of material keep coming off and are all over our house. the material under the blended leather is just falling apart and tearing open. we barely sat on this couch and it looks twenty years old. also the blended material causes rashes to bare skin... the store doesn't care and neither does corporate. there are class actions lawsuits happening over this product all over the internet. please don't waste your money like we did. read more

I have been to Ashley's many times and normally things are done ok. I know the customer service isn't that great and they tend to be pretty off put and not very friendly. But the furniture is nice and we are usually happy with what we get. This was a cluster from the beginning. While placing the order, I had to keep correcting the sales rep on what my number was. The delivery of the new couch was supposed to be on that following Monday. Well Monday came and no couch had come, so my wife called in to see what was going on. They let her know that the PHONE NUMBER was wrong and they couldn't deliver because there was no confirmation. I called and wanted to see what could be done to fix the situation. I ended up going into the store and asked to see what could be done. The customer service rep said either I refund your money or I can give you $150 off the order but that all I can do. Pretty straight forward. But I was like ok great, that would work. I mean saving a extra $150 and getting a new delivery date would work. They moved it to Thursday morning between 10am and 2pm. The night before I get another text saying that the delivery time had moved to 12pm to 4pm. That was the first red flag, since we had scheduled our time around the scheduled delivery time. Well when the couch got here, nothing was wrapped and the couch never even made it inside. The delivery guy dropped the couch cushions on our floor went to the truck and came back. He didn't speak English so he just kept saying "Broke"... Then brought out his phone and showed us a picture of the back of the couch which had broken in half. My noticed they had brought it out and thinks they dropped it in the drive way and dropped it when getting it out of the truck. The delivery guy grabbed the cushions and left. I called into the office and explained the situation, obviously at this point I was upset. The first lady hung up when I said I want a refund now and she kept saying I'm sorry but you have to wait till tomorrow. I asked to speak to a manager and she hung up. Called back and spoke to Angelica and she said she was sorry but couldn't do the refund until tomorrow, saying that they have to wait until the couch was back in to depot. I let her know at this point, the couch being there isn't my issue. I purchased something I haven't received and you now have money that doesn't belong to you. She said that the store manager Erica will be in at 1:30 pm, I got the corporate number and they informed me that they only have male managers and they would call the Murrieta stored to find out what was going on. Tom calls me and gives me the same spill, also lets me know he isn't even the manager and the store manager is out of the office today. All I see is a lack of leadership with no actual resolutions. I went on Ashley's website and found the bed and two nightstands that I wanted to buy. I went into the store to look at them first. I asked the sales person where the Cambeck set was and she said she didn't know what I was talking about. So I described it to her and she said that she had it in the children's section and walked me over there. It wasn't there. She did not ask for the sale. She did not go over to the computer to look up what I was talking about. So we left the store without purchasing anything and bought the set online. One of the nightstand drawers was cracked. The slats that go across the bed were missing. And a day later I received a coupon in the mail for 25% off. I went on the website to try to get a replacement drawer and the missing slats delivered. A week went by and they did not respond to me. So I called the store to see if I could return the entire night stand there and they did not answer the phone. So I called them back and someone answered and said that they are not affiliated with their website and that I cannot make returns there. So I went online to contact them. It took them 12 DAYS to respond! And when Deanna from customer service did, all she said was, coupons sent via USPS cannot he used online and to reach out to them if I have questions. She did not address my other two, much bigger issues! So I wrote back and am still waiting for a response. I called them, waiting on hold for 46 minutes before the phone rang and they instantly hung up. So I called again, waited on hold for 35 minutes, the hold music stopped and they disconnected. So theyve made it impossible to return the product or rectify the issues. On to the BBB! read more

I'm not surprised that this store has bad reviews! My husband and I were looking to spend our money today to buy new couches! There were three workers too busy into their conversation to even say hello. I walked up to a gentleman(that was not conversing)and asked for the restroom. My husband was checking out the couches as I came out from the restroom and yet no one had helped or said hello to him. We decided to take our business elsewhere and as we walked out one of the women that was full into her conversation earlier didn't even acknowledge us neither did the gentleman that was also engaged in the conversation. One star for the man that directed me to the restroom and they have a clean restrooms as well! At least they did something right. read more

It's unfortunate that my in store experience and my delivery expectations did not match at all and have caused me to rate so low. I came in to order 4 pieces of furniture for my 1st ever brand new apartment. One would usually host a house warming of some sort and entertain having guests when doing so but for me I have had nothing but the run around with where my furniture is at. Order was placed back at the end of June for furniture that would have been be partially delivered from the beginning of July to the mid dates of August. After calling numerous times and receiving the run around (incorrect dates of fulfillment, told I was being transferred to a supervisor, told supervisor don't work Sundays, and even offered $100 off my order) it's has come to my attention Ashley is here to make the sale and hope after 3-4 months of waiting with no type of furniture in your home that you still show interest. Oh and by the way did I mention when I finally got a hold of a supervisor she informed me of a shipment date of not mid August or even the end of August. She states the order won't be in warehouse till September 17 and could not ship until a later date maybe closer to October. Don't forget my original order was in June. One word I can say is DISHONEST!. I bought over $5000 worth of furniture and Elizabeth Gonzales was the salesperson. She and the manager sold me on the extended warranty. I asked especially if this covered pet damage as my previous sofa was damaged and she told me yes. it covered everything. Fast forward, a few months later I called for damage and was told that the extended warranty only covered pet stains, not scratches. I asked to s/w the manager. Richard, who said he would call me back and of course didn't. The next day I called and s/w Shayann who launched into a story of how busy he was and he just doesn't return calls but has other things to do. Of course he never called back. We purchased a sectional & dining room table with deals we couldn't pass up. My salesman Robert was excellent, though it took some time to put my order request together. But it really fell apart when the furniture arrived. We had the dining room table & chairs sent back as they were still in the box. They were supposed to delivery it assembled. After 3 days, they brought the table & chairs, then left. We noticed that 3 of the 4 chairs teetered. We called customer service and they made the situation even worse. So I called my salesman Robert and he took care of it from there. I would like to thank Nicole for submitting a refund promptly. Unfortunately, only you and Ken Showalter (Sales Rep) did their job right. As far as Ashley Furniture, doing "Their Best", sounds too good to be true. When I spoke with Lizzy (Corporate care) on 06/08/15 at 9:28am, she advised me that she would call me back by end of day, which would be 5pm. But she never returned my call. On 06/09/15, I spoke with Gary (District manager), and he advised that he would do some research on my order and asked if it would be okay for him and his team to call me back on 06/10/15 by 10am, and I agreed. But I never received that phone call. I honestly can't blame Lizzy for not returning my phone call because Gary failed to return a phone call that would have SAVED this sale. I have been purchasing from Ashley Furniture for 2 years and have spent slightly over $10,000. This purchase was going to be for $5,676.66. I feel that your team didn't even try to save the order. Nobody checked to see if it could get expedited, nobody offered a discount for the inconvenience, and nobody told the truth. When your Ashley team asked to call me back, it only provided false hope. Customer service is horrible. On Tuesday I ordered delivery for a couch and a bed at Ashley in Murrieta for Sunday. On Thursday they confirmed the delivery by text and said that if I confirm that there is no cancellation. I confirmed. On Saturday they called and said that they could not deliver to my area because it is 4 hours away. I googled the distribution center address and my address and it is 3 hours and 52 minutes away. I had renters going into this home on Monday and needed furniture. When I called to speak with a manager 5 different times they would not put him on the phone. When I went to the store to speak with the manager Richard he got angry and yelled that there was nothing that they could do. He knew that I called and was avoiding my calls all day. There was never a let me see what I can do, or let me make some phone calls, nothing. He wanted the sales rep to handle it. Customer Service is horrible.will never shop here again. read more

A rude technician was sent to fix it but couldn't. A replacement was provided but did failed to work properly. Let me start off by saying when we went into the store Nov 23,2018 Michael helped us the 2nd time we went in. He was awesome. We purchased a 3 piece sectional and a huge ottoman table. We knew that some of the items were on back order so we said ok and our delivery was set on Jan 5,2019. I called back before then to see if there was anything sooner they said that was earliest. Customer service called with a confirmed delivery date but no time frame. So we called back today customer service and THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THE CALL OR THE CONFIRMED DELIVERY!! She informed us the earliest delivery date would be in Feburary. Customer service couldn't provide any help and just blamed everything on the store and told us we need to call the store. I would never buy from this company again! Nor would I recommend. I didn't buy from this store location but I'm sure it doesn't matter. Customer Service is customer service. First, white glove delivery is a joke. The two men who delivered my cream colored sofa had the dirtiest, nastiest hands. They actually smeared the sofa and used packing material to swipe it off after I complained. To get them out of the house, I didn't check the furniture. Big mistake. One of our coffee table legs was delivered damaged. It was actually attached damaged! After trying to reach them, text messaging, waiting for call-backs, the leg replacement was ordered and delivered. Then had to start over again calling to have a tech sent out to replace it. Tech came out 3/30. He noticed another leg was damaged? Weird? So he ordered the new replacement leg the same day. We are on 5/25-almost 2 months later. Still no replacement. My husband actually drove to the store today out of frustration. BS. Just got a call from their customer service department. The replacement leg will be shipped mid-June. No guarantee but that's the date it SHOULD be available. BTW. We paid nearly $4,000 cash and bought insurance and we're having to deal with this. A great saying: cheap is expensive. read more

Avoid this place at all cost! I made a purchase around $8700 back in September of 2020. My order has not fully been fulfilled as of today(Almost 6 months now). Ashley's furniture has canceled many times on me for at times for no reason. I was told on on occasion they cancelled because they wanted to minimize the amount of shipments due to cost! As if that is my fault they can't get it together. I was told delivery would be 5-8 weeks. Well that was a lie. I tried calling customer service, the local store, and the manager. The local store stopped answering calls all together. I called customer support and they also could not get through the local store in Murrieta. All they could do was advise me to drive down to the local store. They were a joke. They tell you one thing, then that goes out the window. The manager (Tom Freeman) is a joke. No help from him. Non stop headaches with these people. Half the order has been delivered damaged and I am STILL trying to get one more item replaced. That alone was a hassle. Ashley's furniture wanted me to diagnose the problems with the furniture so they could order the parts needed to make repairs. THEN, they wanted me, the customer to call them back when said parts were delivered to my address so I can schedule a tech to come out and make the repairs! At that point I told them I will not do that and they need to take responsibility of the crap furniture they are delivering. I was told thats the process and we would have to follow that step if we wanted the damaged item replaced. This was also the response from the local store manager Tom Freeman. We tried to cancel the entire order at the beginning of the headaches but local management denied our request because they had already delivered a Temperpedic mattress and we accepted delivery. Purchased a sectional and tables from this store in Murrieta. Furniture was delivered with damages on the tables and full of dust looks like they have been returned and sitting in the warehouse way too long. Deliver drivers didn't care to bring them back. Called customer service the day of delivery we were told someone will get back to us, we waited for another week and no one had contacted us. We called again two weeks later they told us to take pictures and someone will review them and send a technician. It is now over 3 months and no one has bothered to call us back!! Horrible, horrible, horrible. Don't waste your time like I did. Absolutely terrible. Sales lady set me up with a pickup time and date to pick up my own furniture since their delivery date was too long. I rent a uhual and borrow my brother-in-law to head up and grab my furniture from their warehouse. I get about an hour out and call the warehouse... guess what? I am not on their schedule to pick anything up. He says to me verbatim, "they do not have the power to schedule, they lied to you." I call the store and everyone starts saying it is my fault and a miscommunication on my part. They say, "the saleswoman should have told you that." And no, she didn't tell me that she can't actually schedule pickups with their own warehouse, but she gave me paperwork that said she could. Well, to top it off only half of the furniture is actually at the warehouse and again they say it is a "miscommunication." They say, "we don't actually guarantee the furniture will be there." Yea, had they told me that the day they made me a fake pickup I would not have driven two hours in LA traffic out to Colton, CA on a mother fuckin maybe. I told them I did not miscommunicate a damn thing, my paperwork shows all the articles I purchased on it, had a pickup date and even the saleswoman's signature, but what it didn't say was, "maybe it is there maybe it isn't, good luck." How in the flying fuck did I miscommunicate? I went by the paperwork and their word. Needless to say they did not do a damn thing for me so I told them to return my purchase and refund me... got the refund on the ashley card and now I am waiting until lord knows when for a check refund of the cash down and it has not come yet... lesson learned? Don't get involved with a dying business. Hell, my wife hated their antiquated look anyway. Now I find myself resting in the arms of a wonderful goosedown sectional provides to me by Mor, on time and all at once. In the end, their blunder worked out better for me and worse for them. Ashley has gone downhill. We had a good experience 4 years ago and tried this store again. Wow! the love seat recliner we purchased arrived on a Thursday. As soon as the delivery guys left we noticed that the back panels were not aligned. We called the store immediately. They said they would have someone call us to set up an appt. for a technician to visit our home. No call until the technician was on the way. He basically said that's the way it's made and a replacement would look the same. By the way, he came a week after we called. We went back to the store and the sales manager, Tom, told us that once it is in our home, he is not responsible. We followed the process he outlined and the technician never reported back or someone else dropped the ball. We asked them to take back the love seat and we would purchase something else and that's when they began to totally ignore us. We brought in a letter asking to cancel the sale, even mailed one certified. We are being ignored. Do not shop at the Ashely Murrieta store. read more

We purchased a set of couches and a rug on 11/16/17. They delivered on 12/3/17. After waiting 3 weeks. The couches were delivered but no rug. I called the store at 10am and the lady was less then helpful trying to blame the delivery center. I requested to just cancel the order and she started she could not and that her manager was Not available until after 2pm. She again tried to blame the center and that I did not understand how their company jobs went. She either had a bad day or is in the wrong business as she does not understand nor respect customer service. All I want is a refund so I can purchase another rug being that Ashley could not fulfill their commitment. read more

This was first time buying experience from Ashley's Furniture and the last. My first delivery was a nightmare. The delivery drivers damaged 3 out of 4 sofas. The second delivery to replace my damaged sofas where damaged. The third time they replaced the damaged sofas, but took one of my pillow by mistake. I had to wait another day for them to deliver it back to me. I had to take 4 days off of work so I requested my delivery fee to be refunded. I spoke with Wendy who was in the customer service department and she agreed and said that I would have to come into the store so that they can credit my debit card. I called the next next day and spoke to Adriana who's in the customer service dept. and asked if they could just credit my Ashley's credit card instead. She said she would look into it and call me back. She never called. I called back again and spoke to Wendy. She explained that Corp. already approved the delivery fee to be refunded back to my debit card and they couldn't credit my AF credit card. I explained that my debit card just expired and that my bank was sending me a new one. She said no problem, once I receive the new card bring it in and show them. I drove down with my new card and the old one. I got to the counter and Adriana helped me. I showed her the new card that was still attached to the paper from my bank and my old card. She said this wouldn't work. She said I needed a letter from the bank stating that this card was to replace my old card. I showed her my old card with the expiration date that just expired and showed her the new card. She still insisted that I get a letter from my bank. Her inflection was rude so I asked to speak to a manager and she said she's not working today. I asked to speak to the store manager and without checking she said he was busy. I asked who is the the store manager and she said Richard. I asked what's Richard's last name was and she told me she not going to give me that information. I asked again if I can speak with Richard and she said he's helping customers. I told her I'm a customer who actually bought furniture from this store and would like to speak to him. Again without checking she said he was busy. This has been the worst buying experience in my life! read more
