Do Not purchase GBS Protection Plan I filed a claim (#279564) on 4/1/19 with Rose on a Chase Couch with an accidental spill, and a long scratch on the Dinning Room table top. Rose/GBS had No record of my purchase of the table, and asked that i email over the invoice. Emailed 4/1/2019 claims@gbsent.com. No response... I called back on 4/19/19 spoke with Ashley/GBS, she said there is no record of a claim being filed or the email. I fwd over the email and had to file a new Claim (285705) I asked to speak w/ a Manger on anyone who can help;Ashley said she would put in a request for someone to call me back. Really?!! Absolutely No Accountability. The Table top was delivered with a few small scratches on 11/2019, but was not a huge deal. I called GBS filed a claim, called back 30 days laster. They had no record of me filing the claim. WTH?! I just dropped it. Too much hassle, and received no help. Approx March 28th, i noticed a new accidental long scratch on the table top i filed the claim w/ Rose. I understand the initial scratches would be covered by the manufacturer. Yet when you call Ashley 1-800-240-3440 option 2 then 3 directs to GBS Enterprises. Wen i call i am on hold for 30+ minutes, then speak with someone who have no account of whats going on. They just want to take a verbal claim then absolutely No follow up. This is the 3rd time i am having this problem with GBS, so deiced to write a review. I will never buy a protection plan again, its a scam, waste of TIME and MONEY. On top of all this, one of the dining room chairs (an off white color) is turning yellow. I called Ashly directed to GBS, they said its a Manufacture defect. I called Ashley this morning, on hold for 45 min. Then just disconnected, i called back, on hold for 30 min Call dropped. Keep in Mind the i bout this at Ashley Furniture on Maddison Ave Murrieta Ca. from sales lady Candice Mattox, with a smile said any accidents are covered, i asked her right there to read exclusions and she said " All Accidental spills are covered. If one of your kids spills juice on the couch, its covered." There are quite a bit of Exclusions on Stains in the Terms/Conditions, yet there is some grey area. The 1 star is only there because the purchasing went smooth. (But that makes sense seeing as how they are getting money then..) The delivery process has been nothing but a hassle. To start, the furniture was delievered far outside of the alloted window. When checking out the furniture I noticed the mirror was damaged and asked for a replacement. they said it was back ordered two months, I said I'd wait for it. The mirror was again delievered outside of the window I was given. I was woken up to this delivery. Scrambled to get my dogs outside. While I was doing that, the eager delivery guys proceeded to start attaching the mirror without me present. I heard a loud crash and ran to find them holding my tipping dresser up with my drawers flung all over. One drawer hit the back of my TV I had moved aside and scratched the back up - thank goodness it wasnt the screen! Then they proceeded to say the carpet was uneven. I asked for a new drawer for the one that ended up being damaged. They waited in their car while customer service called and said they heard my dresser was damaged when they got there.. I told her the story so she offered a technician to fix my drawer. I settled with that just to end this process. Well, technician showed up unannounced at 8 am. I had no notification from the company. Very infuriating. I have had the same bedroom furniture for 23 years. I just wanted to have something feel new, and if it had a ding, for it to be my fault not theirs. Extremely disappointing process. read more

FAIL! All systems go in the sales process. Once the contract was signed and the payment was made I dropped off the face of the earth!. The original quote was next day or at the latest Monday to be picked up at the store in Murrieta. Well as it turns out. No one knows of the transfer the product to the store program and you need to drive to the warehouse to pick up the item if you don't want to pay a delivery fee. I spoke to three different people and none appeared to care that the promise was no later than Monday and on Wednesday I received a call to pick the item up Thursday at the warehouse. I followed up on that electronic call and made another request to have the items at the store as the salesman has promised. In order to save further poor service I called the store on Thursday to make sure the item was there. No one knew what I was referencing and I was transferred to the warehouse only to find the items are still there and now, only because I insisted it will be sent to the Murrieta Store by Friday. At this point I have no faith in anyone's expertise or integrity at Ashley Furniture. This will be my last transaction there and I would not recommend them to anyone. Especially since their competitor, LIVING SPACES, provides similar quality and guarantees FREE SAME DAY delivery. The LIVING SPACES in Menifee was a dream to deal with. All of their promises were actual. Them, I would recommend. If only there was an option for zero stars!! I purchased a couch, loveseat and 2 chairs from this store in November 2014. On November 20th, upon delivery, I decided that I did not like the way one of the chairs fit in the space. The delivery guy would not take it back unless it was damaged or the incorrect item. He instructed me to contact the store to return the item. I immediately called the store and spoke with the customer service rep. I told her that I wanted to return the chair and order another chair. She told me that she would have the manager contact me. After 2 days of not receiving a phone call back, I decided to drive back to the store. Once at the store, we were able to order the new chair and the manager said that he would apply my credit for the chair I would be returning towards the new chair. No problem. The next day, Ashley Corporate Care contact me to schedule a pick-up of the chair I was returning. On November 29th, I once again took the day off work since I was given a 4 hour window and Ashley never showed up. I contacted Ashley Corporate Care and was told that the driver came by and no one answered the door. I never left my home. There is no way that the driver stopped and I didn't answer. I contacted them again and was told that they would just pick the chair up when they delivered the new one. A few weeks later, Ashley Furniture contacted me to schedule the delivery of my new chair and I was told that they would pick up the chair I was returning at the same time. I was given a 4 hour window to be home for the delivery. On December 11th, my new chair was delivered but the driver refused to take the chair I was returning stating that he had not been instructed to pick it up. I called Ashley Corporate Care and the gal that I spoke with apologized for the "confusion" and asked me to schedule AGAIN for the pick-up of the chair. At that point, I told her that I had already taken 3 days off of work and that I couldn't afford to take any more time off. I told her that I could drop off the chair at the store. She told me that she was going to talk to the manager and call me back. I never heard back. I decided that it was not MY JOB to continue to get them their chair. If they wanted it back they needed to contact me to get it and go out of their way to pick it up. Fast forward 7 MONTHS!! Ashley Corporate Care calls and leaves a message stating that they needed to schedule a time to pick up the chair. 7 MONTHS LATER!! They also sent a certified letter in the mail telling me that I needed to schedule a pick-up or pay for the chair. Today, June 16, 2015, I spoke with Angela, a manager at Ashley Corporate Care and was instructed to schedule a pick-up (Monday-Saturday 9-5 pm) or pay for the chair. She also told me that IF there was any damage or wear and tear to the chair that I would be BILLED for the chair!! Seriously? The chair that your company FAILED to pick-up... that I have been STORING for 7 MONTHS...you want to CHARGE ME for WEAR & TEAR or DAMAGE??? No apology for their past failure. Just THREATS. Oh, not to mention that she wanted ME to take MORE TIME off of work to pick it up. Or I could have a neighbor sign for the pick-up. Let me get this right, I have taken 3 days off work ( a loss of $1003.50 worth of wages) for a chair that I paid $265.00 for, and you want to charge me another $265.00 plus tax for a chair that might have wear & tear after 7 months?? I don't even know where to start. First they started by giving me an amazing deal to make the sale and I was stoked on this new bed I just bought. Weeks started going by and my delivery date was moved 6 times cause of "back order" I told them at this point i wanted a refund and you can keep the bed. They tried calling 100 times offering me offers to stay and offer a different bed but finally agreed to a refund and they were cool about it until now. Very disappointing the customer service here at Murrieta Ashley Furniture. We ordered about $4,000.00 worth of furniture. When it comes for delivery they brought a wrong piece. When I refused the item and call to inform them, nothing could be done at first until a manger got back. We then waited to find out there was a mistake on their end and It will be a week for the piece. Of course we wanted it sooner and ask to see what could be done. Then I was called the next day to hear the piece that we should have received is in stock about 30 miles away. Here is the kicker, it will be delivered on the same date a week later. I asked why it could not be expedited then said , "We should make some one else wait?", Hell yeah you should I did my waiting, you made a mistake and I should be the one who's suffers. My review will encompass my entire experience. We purchased multiple pieces of furniture on 7/4/2019. We scheduled delivery for 7/26/2019. Delivery men arrived with our products. A chair in the dining set had a defective finish. The dresser I ordered was broken as it was being assembled. The delivery men didn't tell me that I had the option to refuse delivery. They instead told me that it was a simple fix, just a part replacement, and that they could schedule me for a service technician to come out. On 7/30/2019, the service technician came out, he didn't replace the part. He patched it. It was still cracked. I said I wasn't keeping a cracked dresser. He said to call customer service and that they would replace it. Customer service wouldn't budge saying I should have refused delivery initially and that there are no refunds and I can't get an exchange. I went to the store and they were able to schedule an exchange for another week out. Today (8/7/2019) they attempted to deliver another dresser. It had scratches/dents on the side and they again tried to convince me that a service technician could come out and that it was an easy fix (a finish? an easy fix? yea right. especially not when I caught the delivery guy marking up my dresser with a sharpie before he brought it in!). I refused delivery this time (now that I know). They scheduled another exchange for yet another week out. I went to the store and asked for a refund and they told me that it had to go through a return request and it would take (you guessed it) another week. At this point, my husband and I are going to go through our bank. I've had to be home, for a four hour window, three times all for a cracked dresser. If you value your money and time, take your business elsewhere. They clearly don't value their customers and they definitely don't stand behind their product quality. #1 furniture store? I bet the only reason they're #1 is because they hide behind deceptive practices like these. I would like to note that the people who helped me Gary (salesman), Sylvia (customer service person at the store), and the Sales manager (his name escapes me at the moment) did their best to help me, but it's the company's policies that have caused these issues. read more

The sales people here are extremely helpful.....until you make your purchase and they have your money. We bought one of the most expensive sectionals on the floor and paid for the extended warranty. When it was delivered we checked all of the mechanical on the recliners and all was good. They set it up where we wanted it and left. We had to have a service tech come back out because that day, one of the power recliners stopped working. Nearly a week after we called, the tech came out and fixed the problem (it was minor). Now fast forward to about 6 months later. We move the couch and notice that the top frame of one of the sections is broken. Yes, the frame. I called the store several times (5) and each time, "all customer service reps are busy with other calls". I stay on hold and after 15 minutes, it forces you to leave a message. Each time I left a detailed massage and never received a call back. I called the sales lady directly (who gave me her card and said if I had any problems at all, to call her) and she won't return the calls. My wife has called the warranty company several times only to be forced to leave a message and has never been called back. This is the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere. As soon as we walk in, getting greeted is nice. I had one easy question about a $50 gift card and was wondering if I can just use $50 on something or do I have to buy something to get that off. Well he said you need to purchase something. So then he went to go talk smack about I guess (my stupid question) to his co workers. I'm not deaf Michael, we heard you! We will never buy from Ashley again! We bought a total of $11k worth of furniture last September & were told that we will get the 60 most financing since we purchased the Tempur-Pedic. When we received our statement from Synchrony, we were only given 24 mos for the rest of the purchase save for the Tempur. We have been told that they are working on changing the terms but Synchrony said that they have not received anything. Customer service (spoke with Adrianna) does not even care! They are only good with getting your hard-earned money & once they have it, you are on your own. It has already been almost a year & I called them again today. They said the supervisor already approved the term change last October but Synchrony said they have not received anything since I called them last October. Right now, we are still waiting for people at Ashley to actually do their job! read more

We are so excited about the furniture that we bought - it is beautiful and decent quality, plus the financing program made sure we could get what we wanted without going broke (and YES I love to pay it off early so they can't rob us in interest). We were recently in this store looking for a sofa and loveseat, and possibly a recliner. We were greeted by Derek, he explained the sales that were going on and let us browse. He checked in periodically and answered our questions. We were trying to match a couple of items and he literally carried a piece across the store. Read the small print! You would think after they picked up the chair that broke and lost it somewhere in the warehouse, that they could give us a break. We bought the warranty for the furniture. We were told if you broke it, cut it, spilled on it, anything happened to it, it was covered for 5 years. So when I called a year and a half later to replace cushions that had flattened, I was told those were only warrantied for 1 year. Went to Living Spaces on the way home and found out Living Spaces carried the exact same couch for 295. I asked the associate and she told me that living spaces carries ashley furniture. I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the salesman that helped us. We had been into the store a few times shopping for a bedroom set and mattress and left feeling like no one would work with us and at times unhappy with the customer service. But last night we got the best salesman EVER Chris C. He was so helpful and honest and respectful and worked quickly. He worked with us and got us exactly what we wanted. He even got my toddler a ballon and offered to get him more when my son let his balloon go. We left the store happy and it was all because of him. We love the bedroom set we got and all the furniture in the store. We will for sure buy more furniture at this store but only from Chris C. read more

I recently purchased a living room set from Ashley Homestore in Murrieta, Ca. My experience was fantastic from beginning to end. I liked that I was given attention as soon as I walked in the door, but also given the time on my own to view items in the store without getting stopped every few minutes. The associate Christina that I worked with was not overbearing. She let me know that she would be there if I had any questions. I was not pressured at all, and I appreciated that. I left that day, but came back the next day when I knew Christina was working and purchased the items. The process was easy and stress free. We are enjoying our new furniture! Buy January of 2016 the leather was peeling off. I contacted Ashley about the problem. They stated "because it was floor model the manufacture warranty does not apply". Really? We made the mistake of assuming since it was Ashley Furniture it was going to be a good company. We are so disappointed. We bought a table with 4 stools in Jan. 2021. The table was delivered and one stool and the 4 wrong legs. We waited 2.5 months for the replacements stool. Nothing. Finally we drove back to the showroom and asked them if we could have the FLOOR MODEL just so we could complete what we purchased a table with FOUR stools. They were not interested in helping at all. We finally asked for the to process a refund and were told someone would call us in a few days. We did get a call, FOR A REPAIR, and were told NO ONE processed the refund, even after that is clearly what we asked for. During these MONTHS of trying to get this fixed the showroom does not answer their phones. We finally went to the credit card company and filed a claim to which then Ashley called us to schedule a pick-up for the returned item. This was yesterday and they call us the morning of the pick up to tell us "we can't deliver your item because it is damaged". I can't believe the poor customer service and how they can't get this done. They were a no show and we waited around all day for this pick-up. All this to say if you can shop somewhere else, do. This headache has not been worth it and all we wanted was what we paid for a table and 4 stools. read more

Then I got a phone call saying they pushed back my order delivery to December 19th. I call because I never received a call to confirm the time frame. The order was never even placed. Let me just say I never leave reviews but this has been the worst purchasing experience of my life and I just had to write one to warn potential consumers. If you want zero follow up on your shipping status, the worst customer service you could imagine, and an overall horrendous furniture buying experience then this is the store for you. I ordered several pieces of furniture and was given the timeframe to expect my furniture to come in as what they like to call "their estimated date of arrival." This term means we have no idea when and if your furniture will arrive and we will never call you for follow up. The only way I ever found out the status of my order was when I called, and every time I did for some reason my order was pushed out later and later. "Manufacturing problems, not available, so on....a different excuse every time. Don't bother calling the store they just forward you on to a call center where they are just as clueless. To this date I still haven't received my furniture and it's been close to 2 months!!!! If there was an option to leave zero to a negative rating I would have chosen it. Please do not purchase anything from this shady company. I purchased a bed on 10-22-16 and was text messaged a delivery date for a week later, my husband took off work and the delivery never showed. We physically drove down to the store in Murietta and dealt with the very unprofessional store manager Richard Hall who informed us the delivery date was re-scheduled without our knowledge. He then gave us his card but never bothered to follow up with us, we then started working with another "manager" Jody who just as unprofessional as Richard with not following up. The next delivery date happened but the driver Anthony informed us the wrong headboard was sent and he could not put it together. He left all the pieces in my sons room minus the head board, now today 11-22-16 the correct head board was supposed to be delivered and my husband again took off work and the delivery driver did not show up at all. When we called dispatch at 11 am he was told he was next to be delivered then when we called back at 1 we were told we were not scheduled to have a delivery because the head board was on back order. I again physically drove back to the store in murrietta and dealt with Richard Hall who was very non-empathetic and rude. I let him know of my dissatisfaction and that I wanted my money back, he responded that he could not issue me a refund until they got the bed rails out of my home. Smh I saw red, after 3 failed delivery attempts I have to wait for Ashley furniture to send me another delivery notification with a 5 hour window to wait. Going to corporate on this one. Richard Hall and Jody do not care about customer satisfaction or resolution, only their merchandise. My son is still sleeping on the floor a month later because he threw out his old frame when the initial delivery was supposed to be done. read more

In July I purchased a house full of furniture from Augustine, since delivery there were a few mistakes, missing furniture damage ect.. However Augustine, Cheyenne, and Tom the manager have been a blessing very helpful and understanding. Ashley's is fortunate to have Tom as a manager it's clear that his leadership is an example of how to gain a customer for life. We purchased a dresser with the knowledge that it had to be put together by me once it arrived. As I was putting it together, I realized that it had to left ends (missing the right end). I went to the store that I purchased it from (Murrieta California). The person at customer service told me it happens all the time and it's not a big deal. She ordered us a new left end. She stated it was in stock and would ship on Monday, with a probable delivery date of Wednesday at the earliest and Friday/Saturday at the latest. Two weeks later nothing had arrived. My wife and I went back to the store to see what was up. A different person at customer service said her computer showed that nothing had been ordered. I asked to speak with a manager. The girl said there was no need for that. I insisted that I speak with a manager. She said "there's nothing he can do". I said I would still like to speak to him. Manager Tom Freeman walked up, didn't introduce himself, didn't ask my side of the story, just immediately began quoting store policy. I told him "how about listening to my side of the story before you give me store policy". He stated he didn't need my side, he had already heard it from his employee. At that point I told him that he was a not doing a very good job at being a manager. He yelled "are you telling me I'm not good at my job"? I stated "that's exactly what I'm saying"! He stated "I'm done talking to you" and he literally walked away. At that point I asked customer service for my money back. She stated that she sent my case to corporate for approval but that Ashley has a no return policy so good luck. Since that time I've made several calls to customer service. After being on hold for an average of 18 minutes every time, I constantly get the run around. No one can give me a straight answer. I insisted on speaking with a manager on the last phone call. After being on hold for 23 minutes, a manager finally answered. I had to explain the entire situation again. She sounded sympathetic and even apologized. She placed me on hold while she reviewed my case. After 4 minutes and 17 seconds, I was transferred to an automated survey. I did the survey and the line automatically disconnected. It's like the entire complaint process is designed to keep pushing it way, keep blowing it off, keep passing the buck. Meanwhile, I have a defective piece of Ashley furniture that I paid for, sitting in pieces. And Ashley could care less. The funny thing is, when you walk into an Ashley store, it's like blood in the water with sharks. Every salesperson is doing everything in their power to help you. But once the sale is done, no one cares. I personally would be embarrassed to have Tom Freeman as a representative of my company. read more

Made the biggest mistake going to Ashley furniture and dealing with CECELIA and the horrible customer service folks behind the desk. First off CECELIA basically ordered and had the WRONG sectional couch delivered to my home. Not only did I miss work hours waiting during the 4 hour window, but the fact that they could not even narrow down or keep the time made it even worse. When I called after receiving the wrong couch, I was basically treated like a criminal, argued with, and they refused to put a manager on the phone. So I had to physically go to the store, and of course there was no manager "available" to speak to. When I tried to explain that I was sent the wrong damn couch, I was met with no urgency, and rolling eyes..like it was my mistake! I just spent $1400 on a new couch, you sent me the wrong couch, sent extremely rude delivery people, and you're giving ME attitude?! All this time my sales rep CECELIA was convieniently out of the office for two days, and initially they told me I would have to wait for 2 days to deal with her once she got back. Really? That is insane, and got me really irate at that point. So finally they admitted that I was sent the wrong couch, and rescheduled delivery for 2 days later. I had to miss another 4 hours of pay at work to wait for the 4 hour window. All this time CECELIA , who got her sale and obviously didn't give a damn, never called me back to help rectify, or take any responsibility for HER mistake. Because I had missed nearly a day of work dealing with this negligent, unethical company, I thought perhaps I would be compensated in some way. Finally after myself calling in several times, and using a fake name, they Finally put CECELIA on the phone. At that point CECELIA acted so apologetic and promised to credit me the $125 delivery fee to help offset all the pay I missed... LIES.... after a week with no credit I called back and got CECELIA on the line. Again she profusely apologized, took my credit card info again and promised that I would receive a credit within 2 busiess days... Here we are 3.5 months later and no credit was ever applied. CECELIA IS A SMOOTH TALKING UNETHICAL LIER WHO WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET THE SALE..DON'T LET HE SWEET DISPOSITION FOOL YOU..Ashey needs to invest in customer service training and should be investigated for defrauding customers. Furthermore.. the quality of the couch is sub-standard and clunky.. must be made in TJ..horrible mistake going there on my part. Only putting one star because I have to wish I could put zero this place is a joke stay away from they delivered our furniture which was supposed to be there between 12 and two showed up at 7 o'clock at night paid a $200 delivery fee for that left the $2000 couch that was the wrong color when dealing with the store for two days nowunable to get a hold of anyone and everyone keeps hanging up on me telling me that it's in my home and it is now mine and they will not refund this place is a nightmare stay away from it read more

bought a sofa, loveseat, two end tables and a matching coffee table here a couple months ago. Smokin' deal, too. They were selling off the floor units, so slightly used but cheaper than the rest. Still, great condition and a great deal. read more
