The customer service here has been completely unresponsive in the last 2.5 weeks. Nobody is answering the phones anymore when I call in. I've called several times each week at different times during store hours. The associate that sold us the furniture, Rosie, was not an honest broker. She told us we would get our furniture delivered on 7/31. Well nearly a month later I've yet to receive the pieces I ordered. For an entire sofa set downstairs, only a wedge was ever delivered. Completely useless on its own. I spoke to the finance manager, Dehlia, and while she was helpful over the phone 4 weeks ago, she has now ignored me completely. I told her I wanted to cancel my purchase because I'm completely fed up with this scam of a franchise. She assured me that she would take care of it and arrange for the wedge to be picked up. It's been two weeks with no return call or email. And now the charge is on my credit card and I have to start paying the balance. I visited the store last weekend and Dehlia, once again told me she was working on it but did not give me a firm date for pickup or any resolution. Totally unresponsive this week, not even a courtesy update. And each time I've been told the manager is away. I'm planning on going again this weekend to insist closure on the matter. Horrible customer service. Came in on a Saturday to look for a new kitchen table and was rushed because the salesman wanted to leave for his kids birthday. I could of understood that if he had said hey let me give you another sales person to help so I can leave but he didn't. I found a table but wasn't 100% sure so we told the salesman we would come back tomorrow so we could think and not be in a hurry to make a choice. Was told no that we would lose the sales price if we didn't make the purchase that day so I was a little skeptical and made sure to ask if we change our mind is it going to be a problem and was told NO! Haha big lie there. I did go in the next day because I wasn't happy with the table I was basically forced to buy because of a time crunch and was told oh guess what your going to be charged 10% for canceling even though I was told I would not. I've been calling them since October to discuss this knowing they had the front desk ladies in front of me when I asked the salesman if it was going to be a problem if I changed my mind. And not one of them has the decency to call me back. There is never a manager on duty and if there is they are extremely busy to talk to a customer. Funny thing is I went in one day and spoke to a manager and then called 10 mins later and was told there was no manager on duty tHat day so I know they are a bunch of liars. I tried to do this the nice way and handle it with them but since they obviously don't care about customer service here is a nice post for them. "Beware the Bait and Switch" My family and I made our third visit to and purchase from this location of Ashley HomeStore today and encountered a situation which I found to be particularly underhanded, a variation of the classic "Bait and Switch" shady sales strategy. After deciding on a mattress and bedframe from their top of the line Tempurpedic mattress offering and a nice dark wood sleigh bed frame, we began talking numbers and discounts. Our salesperson indicated that their 6 year (72 month) interest free financing, which is also represented on several signs right when you walk in the front door, could be used for our purchase and she calculated our monthly payment by, of course, dividing the total amount of our purchase + tax, by 72. Payment = Total Cost / Term (in months). Simple. For example sake, our total purchase including tax came out to ~ $4,600, divided by 72 equaled a monthly payment of $63.89. We were happy with this amount and proceeded to run my credit to get approved for a line of credit with which to finance our purchase. The credit check was quick and easy and I was immediately approved for more than was needed for this purchase alone. When we get to the register and the salesperson tallies up our order, she informs me that due to the discounts we received, which were $200 off (because we opted out of the two Tempurpedic pillows that were included, a $200 value) plus $100 off from a promotion that my wife had received in the mail for her birthday which was earlier this month, that we could only do a 48-month (4 year) financing term. A quick recalculation using the same formula and this "switched" term outputted a payment amount of $95.83, or a difference of +$31.94, from the monthly payment amount that she had originally offered to us. My immediate response was to say, "You mean to tell me that because we took the reduction in cost, via opting for the $200 discount instead of the pillows, and because you applied the discount that was mailed to us, that that some how jumped us into financing terms that are two years shorter than you originally offered us? That's seems pretty ridiculous, and a bit of a 'bait and switch.'" I went on to ask to speak to the manager. Instead of bringing the manager over, she went and talked to him herself, and came back offering a 60-month term. She went on to advise that with this term-length, our payment would be reduced to $76.66 (or +$13.23 more than we were originally quoted). I indicated that I was still very displeased with the fact that the deal pricing that we'd agreed had somehow been changed solely because we'd captured discounts which were offered to us of the store's/company's own free will, and after I'd already accepted a hard-pull of my credit and the associated "ding" that comes with such an inquiry, such that were we to want back out now (on general principle of my not being willing to acquiesce to what amounted to a bait and switch), I'd have suffered said ding for no reason. Taking matters into my own hands I went and found the manager of the store whose name was Adel. I indicated to Adel, in a very even and matter of fact tone, that I was not pleased with the apparent "bait and switch" strategy that I felt we'd fallen victim to, and that I wanted him to hold true to the original term/pricing that we'd been offered, and had agreed to. His brow furrowing, Adel immediately became defensive, and said that I was mischaracterizing what had just happened. It wasn't a bait and switch he said. When asked why he'd gotten so defensive if it wasn't really a bait and switch, he said that he said, that he didn't appreciate being called a thief, and that he hadn't been successful for so many years in the furniture business by cheating. He reiterated that 60-months was the best that he could do. He went on to say that normally they required a 20% down payment for any 72-month term financing, but that he would accept $500 (~10.8% of our purchase amount) if the 60-month term he was offering would be that big of a deal breaker. He went on to say that I would be hard-pressed to find 72-month financing that didn't require a down payment anywhere else, especially in the furniture industry. Irrelevant, right? I went on to advise Adel that if AshleyHome furniture as a company, the Broadview store location, and he as manager of said didn't want to be accused of "baiting and switching" by other, "non-push over" customers like myself in the future, that he should direct his salespeople to indicate from the outset, that the 72-month term that they were advertising both verbally and in print, required a down payment, rather than doing so at the end of the transaction, once their customers had already made their minds up. He agreed, unapologetically, which made me think that no changes would be made, and that this tactic had been perpretrated intentionally. Last place I will ever buy anything again in my life time. Too much to type. In short: + spent $4,500 on 3 couches that "can be disassembled to fit any door and any room" as confirmed by the sales person and the manager + waited two months + delivery day was confirmed then cancelled within 30 minutes of each other + first delivery crew couldn't disassemble + spent 5+ hours on calls trying to get resolution + emailed Jimmy Mai, President and Mike Bruegge, owner, on LinkedIn. Both read the emails but did not respond + ended up driving to the store just to be told "we just sell it, you'll have to call service" + finally reached a service rep. Put "detailed notes" in the system so a capable crew would deliver them the next time + delivery crew showed up with no knowledge of notes and no tools...AND just one couch + had a 3rd attempt made to deliver. Paid my own contractor to be here, he disassembled and got them in the room Never again. read more

Beware of this company. Paid nearly $2,500 up front for a sectional sofa. I was specifically given a 6-8 week lead time. My purchase was made in the last week of July 2021and I am being told that I will be lucky to receive my sofa by mid December. 6-8 weeks turned into nearly 6 months! Do not trust what the sales people on the showroom floor tell you. There are plenty of furniture stores that will give you legitimate lead times and many have product in stock despite what the Ashley sales people are saying. If you're furnishing a home and cannot wait 6 months, refrain from Ashley. The only reason I am giving 2 stars, in lieu of 1, is because their customer service line has at least attempted to be accommodating and their furniture is generally of good quality as I've purchased from Ashley several times in the past. I love Ashley Furniture's style. I had been waiting for a long time to shop here because their pieces were so beautiful. A few days before Christmas I walked into the Broadview location and ordered a sectional...I paid cash. Once it was delivered I was disappointed. It didn't fit like expected and the color didn't look the same as in-store...It doesn't look good in my home! So, I called and requested a return or an exchange. The store gave me a flat NO! Even corporate was surprised that they wouldn't work with me...it's less than 2 weeks later. Apparently Ashley Furniture stores and the Ashley Furniture website are two different companies with different store policies. While the website allows returns for up to 30 days the store requires the item be refused immediately and you have to call within 3 days or so. I actually looked online for the return policy the same day I received the item and thought I had time to try to make it work based on the sites information. It's completely outrageous you can use the Ashley website to locate the brick and mortar store but they aren't the same and don't honor the corporate policies. My recommendation to the next consumer is to find the item you want in-store and go online to purchase it online. There's no point in risking it. At least this way you'll have a better insurance policy if something goes wrong. I'm so disappointed. read more

Just stopped by and walked the entire store wanting to buy a sectional. Multiple times we waited for an associate to greet us/say hello but no one came even being in plain site. As we were leaving one guy goes up and starts having a conversation with a customer that just walked in the store! He completely ignored us for no reason. I don't get it. It was not busy at all! With that said when we call customer service and finally get a human they have told me several times a manager will call back with details. We never received a call back ever. My girlfriend and I shopped around for a sofa for a couple months before coming across the Pierin Sofa and Chair set at Ashley's. We're so glad we kept looking around because we couldn't have found a more perfect one in the end. The moment we sat down, we both looked at each other and knew we found the one; no words had to be exchanged. Of course, that didn't stop us from talking about it nonstop for the next week until we finally decided to go back and buy it. The cushions are so comfy!! You just sink right into this couch and hope you never have to leave. Anyway, I'm getting off track here. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Ashely Furniture Home Store in Broadview, IL. Louis helped us out and was very patient as we asked all of our questions, even the dumb ones. He gave us some information we hadn't thought about as well. Just a very friendly, knowledgeable guy. We were originally planning on buying our furniture outright but decided to apply for store credit just to see what they could offer. They had us fill out some paperwork and ran our credit before letting us know that we were approved for an amount that more than covered what we were buying. No interest if paid off in 6 months and no money down, can't beat that. We took them up on it but decided to put a downpayment on it anyway. We will most definitely return to this location for future furniture purchases and intend to with our coffee/end tables next month. I highly recommended talking to Louis. He knows how to treat a customer right and make them feel confident in their decision to buy with them. read more

We are very disappointed with the delivery of our order. We received an automated text to schedule delivery and picked the date provided of 6/30. We were called back and told it would have to be moved to 7/1 just without a couple of chairs that would come at a later date, no problem. Waited for a delivery on 7/1, could not contact customer service until the store opened at 10am to inquire as national customer service can't access a local store order they said. Store customer service says it wasn't scheduled to be delivered as the two chairs weren't arriving until later in July. We said that we wanted a partial delivery without the chairs and he said, no problem July 7th, and kindly informed us we should get a call 2 days in advance to setup. Yesterday we didn't receive a call, so called the store today and the associate says we weren't scheduled for delivery because our items weren't in stock. Suddenly nothing was in stock, and wouldn't be in stock for over a week? What is going on Ashley? Needless to say we're not thrilled and definitely not thinking about using Ashley in the future and contemplating cancelling this order due to the terrible customer service after the sale. read more

We purchased a bedroom set in December 2020, with the expectation of delivery in 2 weeks. We finally received damaged dressers in March 2021, which we refused. We requested sealed boxes for the replacement dressers. Weeks later, open boxed dinged dressers were delivered. We called to have someone out to fix them, with no response. After many calls for the expected delivery of the bed and night table, the date was pushed out many weeks. I was assured a call back from management, which never happened. Completely frustrated we went into the store again in August, nearly 8 months after purchasing the set, only to get offered no delivery date. No explanations or apologies were given. One star at this point. Ordered living room furniture in April. The coffee table and end tables came right away via Fed Ex so I had to get someone to assemble them even though I paid for assembly. They keep pushing out the dates for the sofa and chair. Yesterday I received a text from them that my furniture was in and to call to schedule delivery. I called and was told that it wouldn't be ready until July 12! What am I supposed to do, sit on the floor in front of the coffee table? My husband and I were looking for furniture for our apartment we looked at many other stores before agreeing on Ashley's Home Store in Roscoe Village where we found exactly what we were looking for at the right price so we thought. Our sales lady was Alexis and while she was very nice and helpful with her being new there were some mistakes made that could have been avoided. We wanted a Queen Sofa Sleeper Sectional with an area rug and a bed room set with two night stands. We thought we were being charged right from what the conversation was. We were able to get such a fast delivery day as well but when the delivery guys arrived the got the Queen bedroom set up to our 3rd floor apartment just fine when it came to the couch it was 1 piece that was to big to get up the delivery guys wouldn't even try our other entrance. Then getting the store on the phone to help this situation took 10 calls to get a manager on the phone. We went back in to the store ready to get a refund but because I really wanted that couch we talked and found out we were charged for the wrong pieces so now here we are paying more and guaranteed a delivery for Wednesday to find out the warehouse just changed the date to another day with out asking us if we were ok with that day so when I try calling the store yet again it took 6 calls to get someone on the phone and of course not helpful. This whole process just didn't need to be this grueling for furniture especially because we paid cash out right $3600 read more

Nothing wrong with this store location. The people we worked with there were very friendly and nice. Our problems started on the delivery date. Our couch got delivered with a huge whole in it. ( I know things happen, not a big deal). The delivery guys scratched all the walls in our apartment hallway. Broken a ceiling tile in half and left dents in the wall. Still after both of these issues I understand things happen. It was the time following the delivery date that made me unhappy with Ashley. The customer service is very bad I needed to keep reaching out to them for weeks just to get updates of what's going on. To be told that my new couch wouldn't be here for 2 more months. Ashley has not been very accommodating for the mistakes they have made and continue to just put a bad picture out of themselves every time I have to call. read more

This was my family's first time shopping at Ashley. We are slowly refurnishing our home and figured we'd take advantage of the Veteran's Day sale. Maricela greeted us as soon on as we walked in. She was very helpful and would check in on us as we browsed. She was able to answer all of my questions right away and was very knowledgeable of the products. Ashley's furniture is the absolute worse! I've order my furniture on September 8th and got a delivery date for 11/14/20. I called on the day of delivery to get updates since no one reached out to me and customer service told me the new delivery date is December 14th, remind you, I had to give them a call in order to find all of this out! Well December 14th was yesterday, and guess what, no calls, no deliveries. I called customer service today and they said that there is no delivery date for that order at all, she put in a ticket to see if someone at the actual location can give me a call within the next 3 hrs so I can have updates on my delivery. I understand with the whole co-vid, but them not communicating with their customers is the biggest issues here . I will never shop here again n will not recommend them to anyone read more

Maricela in particular was an excellent customer service agent and representative for Ashley. We ended up getting excellent prices on a range of bedroom and living room furniture that suits our family in terms of both the adults and the parents in the home. Wanted to exchange a couch and was told it was an as is sale because it was clearance but the sales person Carmen told me out of her mouth that if the couch doesn't fit I can exchange it. Cesar runs an amazing team as the manager of this store! Went in for their 25% off sale, which was really late at night. Was there from 930pm-12am. Cesar greets you right when you walk in, makes you feel at home and lets you browse! He then send a sales person over to make sure you have a great experience. I have  been on 20 plus occasions asking for help from an executive. Requested a call back and help  regarding  a refund   However you /Ashley furniture ordered the couch  and  tried to have it delivered to the  house  today without my consent.   I refused  the  delivery! I am contacting you today for help. I hope that you are responsible enough to not only respond but also help me. You were very quick to help me before the sale, to be nice and kind, then took my money. I was promised quality furniture and paid the price for it. My sales person sold me on your quality and assured me that your furniture  will last at least 10+ years. That is what Ashley Furniture is known for. Nevertheless, what threw me off was, as I was getting ready to pay, I was asked if I wanted to purchase a 5-year warranty? It was explained to me, for a small cost, "It is just added protection, just in case something happens during those 5 years. Okay, fine. The Sale agent did not have anything for me to read before deciding but ensured me it will cover everything, as an added insurance. However, said all the info is in the paperwork, which was given to me after I paid. I trusted Ashley Furniture...   The Couch was repaired on one occasion and I was told later on that the technician indicated that he repaired it as a favor.  The second time that  a technician came out the  couch set is  not repairable. I have been waiting for follow up calls for over several weeks since July.  This is my formal request for a full refund for this  invoice and my experience , along with  the complete inconvenience in how Ashley treats its customers. 25 plus calls , emails , voicemails and being hung up on  during waiting times of over an hour. I know I am not the only person who has been lied to about the quality and the Warranty. Do you pay a good bonus when your sales agents sell a warranty plan because it seems like it is free money for you, because it does not seem to cover anyone's warranty claim. This has been a frustrating experience trying to get anyone to even talk to, but ultimately no help and when I did find a person, they stated that the warranty is no good to me! Talking to other consumers who purchased warranties, we each have different issues; we all are being told that the warranty does not cover any of our issues? That is not right, and sounds like fraud! What do I need to do at this point for proper customer service, a refund and a decent person to help me. I will file a claim with my State's Attorney General's Officer or the BBB. I want to give you the opportunity to do what is right! Instead of jumping to any legal action first, you sold what is clearly a "Lemon" furniture and a "Lemon" 5-year warranty... I liked the table I purchased, but you sold me a lemon, as it seems others have too along with a warranty that is a farce! I am requesting a full refund; due to the whole experience, you put me through, poor quality and a warranty that seems to not help us. That is it. I purchased a 5-year warranty for my table that lasted less than 6 months before breaking down when your sales team should have easily lasted 10+ years  We want to be happy and feel good for years. I bought this Couch/Sofa Set  with the reputation of Ashley's quality. I was sold on backing up my investment for 5 years. Instead, I feel ripped off and that is not right. Ashley Furniture took advantage of my nice demeanor. You sold me a five year warranty and it needs to be good for 5 years or its criminal. It is good for 5 years von paper , but in reality the warranty can only be used just once. If you have something that I signed during the sale that states the warranty for my purchase is good for only one use, then  I have to repurchase again, let me know ,.  You sold me the warranty , but did not have any info to read or sign prior to finalizing  my purchase and only after paying  Ashley Furniture, I am being  told that its in my paperwork Please contact me as soon as possible regarding this matter . Horrible experience. I bought a split king mattress. I was lied to by the sales guy as to it being available for quick delivery. Then I couldn't get ahold of him about it. When I finally got the mattresses the delivery guys were 90 minutes early and just tossed them into my living room and ran out the door. The plastic wrapping to one of them was all torn up and taped back together. After they left I unwrapped it and it was filthy dirty, had shoe prints on the bottom of it and was missing the warranty tags. I immediately called and complained and was told they had to send a tech out to inspect it in a few weeks and that they wouldn't replace it. I made a total of 8 calls, speaking with different managers and the store manager who finally got a swap out approved, but that was almost a full month out. Then that date came and went and I was told that all exchanges were put on hold and there was no estimated time as to when they'd be fulfilled. I called the store and said I was going to dispute this through my credit card company and they scheduled another delivery 2 weeks from that date. Those guys showed up randomly 5hrs early. The new mattress has long strings hanging about 16" long across the top. Something is wrong with this one. This setup was about $2300, and is the Sealy brand. Not a cheap mattress. I highly suggest going somewhere else to buy any furniture. read more

I bought a whole kitchen and living room set that took 2 extra weeks to get delivered because they didn't even know if it even was real, after the fact that we paid for it!! Then we used the rest on one of there promotions for 3 years no interest if paid in full. And just today after a year they charged my account 500$ in interest because they had the records that it was only for one year. This store is a waste of time. And there financing department is a rip off. They will rob you with no remorse. And say that there is nothing they can do to change it. I recommend going anywhere else expect Ashley. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service, ordered a bed Jan 27th, the order was continuously moved, they delivered one on feb 22 with the wrong rails, so they said they'd come back and someone would call in 10 minutes, never happened. I called the next day that I would have to wait a week to get the right bed. Flash forward to today, they come and give me an incomplete bed again, and I paid for white glove, meaning they assemble it. They dropped off some boxes and tried to leave with me signing the receipt, I keep the receipt of delivery and ask if he is coming back to assemble it and he said "oh yea we'll be right back" and hopped into his truck and drove off, dodging any call. Now I'm on the phone with customer service which isn't helpful at all trying to just get them to pick up their bed fragments and give me a refund, which they refuse to do. It was supposed to be delivered on the 12th of feb, moved to the 14th due to the storm, understandable. Then they sent movers on the wrong day when no one was home, and the Thursday they were supposed to come no one showed up. It is just straight incompetence and they don't care about their customers. The desk we purchased was built incorrectly and ended up breaking and hitting me in the face. Poorly designed furniture with people that don't care. Don't shop here, save yourself a headache with dealing with these people. Check out Better businesses bureau, they have been doing this for a while now and have done nothing to fix it so that response they give for feed back, don't waste your time. read more

I purchased a $2700 sectional from Ashley, as well as a warranty from Guardian. Less than two years later... the couch is a poorly made, lumpy mess! The couch pillows won't hold its' shape, and the fabric is buckling. I have made complaints to the store, Corporate, and with Guardian... no remedy. If you want furniture that looks good in the showroom, but doesn't last longer than a year... then Ashley Furniture is the place for you. read more

STAY AWAY!! I ordered $4K in merchandise. Power recliner stopped working after 45 days. I've been "working" with "Customer Service" for the last month and a half just trying to get parts! Disconnected calls, put on hold only to hear the rep watch tiktok videos on her phone and leave me sitting for 15 minutes before I had to hang up and call back only to be told the system was down and that they would order as soon as it came back up. Called back 2 weeks later only to be told it was never ordered. After ordering the parts, waited another two weeks to be told they didn't have an estimate on arrival or tracking information. When I vented, I was told I was lucky the rep was patient with my strong language. I told him he was an a**hole and he hung up. I called this store and, complained and they created an ER ticket, and someone would call me in 72 hours. I received a call 7 hours later to tell me to call back in the second week of January!! In November, the original rep told me I should see something the week of Thanksgiving. When I asked them to check it and contact me weekly, she said they couldn't do that and all I could do was call in January. When I told her she was useless, she hung up. Supposedly a customer service manager, but apparently a cowardly snowflake with no conflict resolution training. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! My wife and I just purchased some furniture from this store and we were very pleased, from the time we walked in the store until we received our furniture. There was no pressure to buy anything, very helpful in the store. The delivery guys was excellent. Also furniture looks great. read more

Ordered a couch and a love seat on July 25th. We were told by the sales person, Tom P, that they were experiencing delivery delays due to Covid but he'd enter it as a rush and they should be delivered in mid to end of August. Was 1st expecting delivery in Augus based on Tom's word. I then received a text on August 3rd that the delivery was "tentatively set to arrive on 9/16/20"; OK - September I was willing to accept that. Never heard another word. Went into the store to follow up on text message on September 5th only to be told no it's still on back order "won't be until at least mid-October but no guarantee." Left defeated and feeling tricked. Just called again this morning (1 hour on-hold) to be told tentatively Nov 4th & Nov 11th; but again no guarantee. After being on hold; asking for some type of monetary compensation was told the floor manager would give me a $50.00 gift card and they have implemented a new program to contact back ordered customers ..... hmmmmm you think you should just be honest in the 1st place and say yeah 4-6 month wait time at point of purchase? Save your customer service reps the hassle of dealing with angry customers and customers from feeling tricked & scammed. How is it you are selling furniture knowingly you cannot get the merchandise from your distributors? Knowingly taking people's money in FULL knowingly good and well that there is NO actual timeline as to when we will get our furniture. 4+ months, minimum (no guarantee of course). I'll be impatiently waiting for my order praying that the quality isn't as poor as the false promise, again "no guarantee" on that either. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would. I found a set of furniture online that is listed as "outlet" and called around to stores to see if they had it in the showroom. I was told to call the outlet store which I did. I spoke to Teresa on Saturday and she assured me they had it and she was "looking at it." I made the nearly hour drive the following Saturday to the store. We walked around for a while and we're finally approached by a salesman. I asked for Teresa and he just ignored that and asked what we were looking for. I showed him photos and he led us to the other side of the store where the items WEREN'T. He then took off to ask someone where they were and came back and said he was still looking. He avoided us after that, actually turning and walking away twice. We went to the customer service desk and spoke to a "manager" who said that the furniture was never in that store. When I asked about Teresa she got cagey and said she was "on leave". She barely even offered apologies nor did she offer to locate the furniture. I will NEVER step foot in Ashley Furniture again and recommend that no one else do so either. read more
