I placed an online order but I did not have the option for online store so I'm placing the review anyhow. I ordered the Rokane Counter Height Table and Stools set, which is perfect for my small apartment. It was over $500 but it was on a special for $260. I received it fairly quickly but the fedex guy dropped it and it was very damaged on the side of the table when it arrived. (I saw him on the ring camera so I know it was caused by the delivery.) I was so disappointed because I was excited to receive it and I couldn't even open the Box because I could see it was torn open and damaged. So I called the Ashley furniture customer care number and spoke to a gentleman named Zuri Williams. He was very professional and took the information from me and and had me send him pictures while I was on the phone. He verified the damage and immediately ordered me a replacement. I could not believe how easy it was to handle this. 3 days later a new table showed up I could not believe my eyes!! That was the fastest return I had ever dealt with before. This table was not damaged I was able to put the entire thing together myself and I could not believe the high quality it was! Once it was complete it is very heavy, great quality wood and the perfect size for my small dining room. The padded stools are so comfortable and the top is so large it feels like I'm sitting in a regular seat. This has to be my favorite purchase in a long time. This is the Mc Donald's of furniture stores. Ashley stocks every type of furniture and wall hanging that you would need in her closet. Aesthetically the style of furniture she sells is somewhat traditional; envision chunky, brown, heavy objects. I stepped into Ashley Home Center for the first time in a decade to browse their bedroom furnishings. A salesman mentioned that this chain sells over 500 "Porter" beds a month and has for years. The style includes beds, dressers, night and TV stands, etc. If you want a bedroom kit this is your store. The homogeneous styles that they sell are definitely timeless, they all look the same to me. Sales staff at Ashley work on commission. When they see someone walk in they are chomping at the bit to make contact with you without seeming too pushy. I was looking for a king bed with storage in it, however style is important to me. While I examined the features of the sets in stock my eager salesman immediately started pushing me towards buying a Temperpedic mattress and offered to throw the bed in free with a mattress purchase. That raises a huge red flag and turned me off instantly. If the markup is so high that they can give an $800 bed away then their profit margin is HUGE. That bed was marked down from $1,500+ too. If you need a lot of furniture to set up an Air B&B or something that you do not have to put in your own home then you might find something that you like. Be prepared to sharpen your pencil, prices posted are a starting point for discussion and not their best price. read more

Store Manager-Pouya and Salesman Naz promised I would receive a $25 gift card after I purchased a mattress and adjustable frame. In the store I was told the system was down to issue the gift card and I was promised a follow-up to call the following day. Unfortunately, 2 weeks later I had not received a call or follow-up. I called the salesman (Naz) directly; however, he no longer answered my calls after he made the sale and also did not respond to the voice message I left. Ashley does not allow you to contact the store directly, there is an overseas call center that apparently screens calls, so the store has an opportunity to ignore all calls except sales calls. I surmised this after the phone rang 20 times and there was no answer at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Most definitely this is my last purchase from Ashley. $25 is such a small amount for the store to lie about, so it absolutely kills my trust in the store overall. read more

I am super happy I read all these reviews after I made my purchase but honestly I just don't get them! My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. We were greeted as soon as we entered by Luke who was very pleasant. We told him we were looking for a new bed frame going from a queen to a king so we would also be needing a new mattress. We said we wanted a frame with drawers on the bottom and one that came in cream. He walked us to the one said it came in cream but was very new so they didn't have any in stock. He said if we got the furniture he would give a really good deal like one that we couldn't pass up with getting a different color. So my husband was like yeah okay! So we ended up getting two dressers, and the bed frame and now it's time to check out mattresses. He made it quick simple and painless and he really knew his mattresses. We picked it and got the adjustable bed and checked out and set up delivery. We ordered it on a Sunday and we had it delivered that Saturday! The people were there in the morning and knew exactly what they were doing my husband said they were friendly and everything was put together well. Our furniture came in without any issues! We chose to purchase furniture at Ashley's unfortunately our experience was anywhere from great. We purchased a living room set back in November and after 2 months of "delays" we went to the store to get an answer. Their reason was that they didn't have the materials to make the type of couches we selected and they didn't have an ETA. The store manager by the name of Mark only approved a 10% discount. After we explained: 1. We spent our holidays without furniture 2. We waited 2 months for couches 3. No one answers the customer service line 4. We have a disabled family member 5. We had to drive more than 20+ miles to go into the store After all this he said he could ONLY give a 10% discount. I am giving the Miramar store zero stars. My husband and I (a military vet) purchased almost 6,000 worth of furniture from the Ashley home store in Miramar January 8, 2021. I had concerns the couch we bought wouldn't fit and I was told we could return the item. Fast forward to today February 5, 2021 the couch is finally delivered and I was in my room while it was being set up in the living room. I can tell the guys are rushing to get out of there. I come out they said it's done and I notice it doesn't fit I tell the guys and they say don't worry just call the store. They asked me to sign and shoved an iPhone in my face to sign and when I said what am I signing and went to grab the phone I wasn't allowed to see what I was signing and they said oh it's just to confirm delivery just call the store. I immediately called the store ( it's like a maze to even get to talk to someone) and the manager for the San Diego store answer was extremely rude and said he didn't care if they had delivered it a minute before he wasn't going to accept an exchange (I was planning on getting another couch from them) and he didn't even care that they delivery people committed fraud by misrepresenting what I was signing and didn't even let me see what I signed. They don't follow through with their warranty...send you to the Philippines when trying to contact consumer service, lie, don't answer the phone, keep you on hold for hours, don't follow through with what they say, give you the run-around etc. I will never buy from them again. Ashley Home Furniture in Miramar is the absolute WORST place to buy any type of furniture. They are so quick to sweet talk you and take your money when making a purchase, but go dark when there is a return or issue of getting my money credited back to my card. I have tried reaching out numerous times with no prevail. I can never get a hold of anyone at the store and my call automatically gets transferred to their customer care in Florida. No one is ever able to make any decisions and promises to email the store and someone will get back to me. I purchased my items on June 7 and it is July 17 and I still haven't heard anything. I inquired about cancelling one of the items on July 4 and they said they were going to process the refund and credit my card and each time I call them they tell me it will be processed and to check my statement. It's been 2.5 weeks and nothing. I don't know how many times I have to ask them, I WANT TO THE STORE MANAGER TO CALL ME TO RESOLVE THIS!! This is ridiculous. Ordered a TV Stand from Ashley HomeStore in Miramar, and it was delivered yesterday with scratches and dents on the stand. I could tell the delivery drivers were busy because they kept insisting that they could leave it at the front door and if there were any problems with the stand, I could call the store and request a exchange or a refund. So I called my sales representative and he told me that "No problem, we'll get you a refund" but today rolled around and he told me that he can't do that, and that he can only request for someone to come fix the furniture. Why would you as a consumer want something fixed on something that's supposed to be new? Doesn't make any sense to me. The call center is extremely rude too and belittle you for not refusing the order with the driver when I explain to them that they didn't give me a chance to. So I went to the store, asked for the manager, which was Andre, but he made us look like the fools saying "That's your problem" when I requested for an exchange instead of having a technician come fix something "new" He didn't care to what I had to say and even raised his voice at me and cut my mother off several times. Rude, disrespectful, horrible customer service. I went to this store with my mother and sister. We each were looking for sofas and other furniture for each of our three homes. Sam, our salesperson, greeted us and followed us throughout the store even though we said we just wanted to look around. We looked around for a bit and my mom found a sofa that she really liked. She mentioned to Sam that she was going to take a few more measurements at home to ensure that the sofa would fit and talk it over with my dad. We continued to look around. However, Sam said that if we were not going to purchase anything today, then he can't get into line to help anyone else because it's store policy not to let customers roam around. We were probably only in the store for a total of 20 minutes. The store was not busy at all. There were at least 10 other employees just sitting around, staring at their phones, and talking to each other. So he basically told us that if we weren't going to buy anything then get out. I don't know if this is their actual store policy or if he was just being sexist or racist. We are accomplished women, doctors even, with disposable income. We each had intentions of buying furniture, but now we will never step into any of your stores or even buy anything from your online store. Such horrible customer service. read more

They do not deserve 1 star. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing. I ordered a mattress and foundation on 5/9. The foundation was delivered 5/15 without the mattress. I called customer service and after holding in excess of 20 minutes I was told the agent did not have any information about my order and someone would contact me within 3 days. No one called me. I waited 3 days then started calling each day 3 days in a row before I was able to reach a human. I would wait on hold for 20 minutes before the call was routed to a voicemail box. My calls and messages were NEVER returned. Yesterday 5/20 I finally got through and was able to speak to a live person. She told me the mattress had been shipped and was now in the hands of my local UPS facility. I had been tracking my order with UPS online throughout this process and the only information it gave me was that the order was "in transit." I was instructed to call UPS directly, so I did. They do not have live agents available to take phone calls at this time. In my desperation I sent a Facebook message to the Ashley page requesting additional information. I was told my mattress was lost in transit. The agent said, "I can reissue you a new mattress if that is what you would like for me to do?" I said yes 8 hours ago. My message has not been read. I have not yet received a confirmation that the mattress has been reissued or when it will arrive. At this point I am starting to feel as if my money has been stolen and I intend to follow up with the BBB. I ordered from Ashley because I anticipated I might have this kind of issue if I ordered through Wayfair. The same product is more expensive on Wayfair but I would have gladly paid more to avoid this frustration. I bought a set of bedroom furniture that was one of the most expensive. The sellers do not understand the sizes of mattresses or spring blocks. The furniture was delivered scratched. The seller said that they would come and repair it, but there was no feedback, the answering machine keeps ringing. I slept on the floor for two weeks and waited for special spring blocks for the mattress; they were delivered in different sizes. I went to the AshleyHome Store on Miramar Rd in San Diego today around noon. I had been looking at their power recliners and I was planning on buying one after I sat in it first. When I entered the store, a young lady approached me and ask if she could help me. I was wearing a mask, as I am immuno-compromised. I asked her if she could please put on a mask. She said "We were told that we could NOT wear a mask in the store". I politely said that Ashley's had lost me as a customer and left the store. We recently went into this store and were helped by a salesman named 'Momo', his business card reads: Mohammed Mohammed. He was an amazing salesman! He was kind and patient while we walked around the store and determined which pieces of furniture would fit our needs. We had our oldest daughter with us who was recently in an auto accident and in a wheelchair, so this took us much longer than it would on a normal day. He made sure that we understood all of our options, what discounts were available to us, and at the same time, gave us the space we needed to make our decisions. This review is focused on the customer service I received, particularly during the covid pandemic. I was wary of furniture shopping during covid, but I moved cross country to San Diego and didn't want to pay to move old furniture I was going to replace. I did expect some delays with furniture because of supply issues, but I was pleasantly surprised that the bed and mattress I wanted were able to be delivered within 2-3 weeks (who would have thought before covid that we'd be happy about deliveries in weeks and not days?). The bed was delivered on the scheduled date and the men delivering and setting it up wore masks. The couch I had wanted was back ordered, but the sales manager and associate I spoke with explained that to me and set the expectation that they couldn't give me a specific timeframe and that some people were waiting months for furniture. While it was disappointing as I couldn't wait an undetermined amount of time for the couch, I really appreciated the transparency. Both the sales manager and associate gave me their cards which included their cell phone numbers so I could reach out to them if needed. I did end up needing to have the apartment number on my order updated and texted the manager who responded timely and made the update for me. Based on this experience (and a negative experience elsewhere looking for a couch), I would go to this Ashley store for furniture in the future. read more

We bought a sofa from here and I've pledged to never purchase anything from Ashley furniture again. We went in on Memorial Day weekend and 'got a deal' on a couch we picked out with a salesman named Andre. He was pushy and rushing us but I didn't care because I thought we got a great deal on a couch we really loved. Not only did our couch take over two months to get to us (not customized), but we received the wrong couch. The customer service is so terrible that after hours of waiting on hold and having my calls dropped or being told there was nothing they could do and that I would have to drive all the way back to the store we bought it from (we moved 2+ hours from this store location) we decided to just cut our losses and keep the couch we got. I chose a bunkbed here because I would be able to use it as two twin beds too, but I just realized both beds are not the same size tall. I received the bunkbed in April, it has broken pieces and dirty pieces. They told me a technician would come in 2 more weeks to repair it... it has been 3 months and they just sent ONE piece in replacement, and it's also broken. Nobody has come yet to assemble or clean. Really should have checked the reviews first. Ordered 3 rooms of furniture mid November. Three delivery dates, back ordered to mid January. The first delivery date, they leave us an incomplete bed set, literally pieces of wood. They expect us to leave mountains of this wood lying in our bedroom until the next delivery date of January 10! We went to the store and returned it, it's been a week and we can't get a hold of anyone to get the items picked back up or refunded. Not to mention one of the bed pieces came broken. In the meantime, went to jeromes and had a compete bed set delivered within 2 days! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND WOULD NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. No customer service, all they care about is the sale. Since it's an in-store order I can't use the online service, every time I call I get put on wait so I schedule a call back and try their business chat, each time it takes days to get answer. Each time, they said they'll cancel it and it never gets cancelled. The latest time, they gave me a call asking to talk about it after promising it was taken care of, but I missed it and when I called back, the whole cycle began again. In the process, she told the salesperson she did not want insurance/warranty, etc. When she got home, we saw the salesperson ignored her and charged her for the insurance/warranty. She called right away and was told they would refund the amount of the insurance/warranty. That was a week ago. Still no refund. We bought a couch from Ashley HomeStore and it was all set up to be delivered in two weeks on a Saturday. Great, so I plan to be home that day. However, two days go by and then we get a notification saying that the couch is backordered. This was annoying because the salesman promised us up and down that our couch would be delivered on that specific day after we told him how important our delivery date was because the rest of our month is busy. But whatever, I'll just have them deliver it to the store then I'll pick it up and assemble it myself right? WRONG. The store manager told us that we would still have to pay delivery and installation fee even though we were picking it up and building it ourselves. We ordered A couch sectional and a bed on September 6 they were supposed to be delivered tomorrow but I was informed at 5 PM today the day before delivery that I was only going to receive half my couch and the rest of the delivery would not come in until November 28. I had the worst experience ever. My first impression was that Everybody was too busy to acknowledge my presence. I am not asking for a Red Carpet roll out, just a smile and a "Hello. I will get somebody to assist you...." would have made me feel welcomed. The Salesman I was dealing with behaved like he had a pot of coffee and some Red Bull. He made me feel so rushed that I misread the order. I thought I had ordered 2 night stands, but found out upon delivery I only ordered 1! Also, the floor lamp was on back order. I was not informed of it until the piece came up missing during set up. Of course I called the store immediately, waited 15 minutes before I spoke to Customer Service. I had to go back to the Miramar store, and talk to the Salesman about the night stand and the floor lamp. Again, he was on a caffeine high or something.... He ordered the night stand to be delivered via UPS so there would not be an extra charge to me. OK. That is a no brainer. As for the floor lamp, he had to re-purchase it so it gets manufactured and then it will be ready to be shipped. Needless to say, I had to call the store about one month later to make sure it was going to be shipped or delivered. Yes. I was on the phone waiting 25 minutes before a live person answered! After speaking with Customer Service, she told me that there will be a charge for them to deliver it to my house! I refused the extra charge since it was their inadequacy that caused this delay. I requested that the item be shipped via UPS so that I don't have to pay the delivery fee. She agreed, and yet here I am with a $118.48 charge. Yes. I got on the phone to try to speak to a live person but waited about 10 minutes before it was answered, only to tell me that they will send an email to the store and somebody will get back to me when they get a chance! REALLY?! My impression of this store is that they are very short staffed and have a lot of ill-trained, unqualified people working there. Customer Service SUCKS, Salesman need to slow down and listen to their customers and go with the customer's pace. Absolutely perplexed and frustrated. I will never shop in any Ashley Stores again.
