In the process, she told the salesperson she did not want insurance/warranty, etc. When she got home, we saw the salesperson ignored her and charged her for the insurance/warranty. She called right away and was told they would refund the amount of the insurance/warranty. That was a week ago. Still no refund. She called this morning and was put on hold after stating her reason for calling. The store never picked up from the hold. We are in the process of disputing the charges with AX. I am FURIOUS! On the 27th of May, my husband and I went to This location to buy new furniture for our new home. We were assisted by the sales associate Craig. Craig was very friendly and helpful. He did a fantastic job helping us pick everything out. We were scheduled to move into our new home on 22Jun, so that's when we scheduled our furniture to arrive. On the 22nd whenever our furniture got there I noticed they delivered an entirely different tv stand than the one my husband and I picked out. Whenever we called to inform them of the problem, we worked out a new delivery date with the correct tv stand that was supposed to arrive on the 3rd of July, which is today. We noticed we never got a call from the warehouse the night prior, like we did with our other furniture so we called them first thing this morning. They told us that they didn't have the TV stand available to deliver. NOT ONCE did they keep us updated on the status of our order to let us know it would not be delivered today. I wish I would have listened to the other customers who had similar experiences on yelp. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. you will regret it like my husband and I did. Then called store and told me basically too bad. Was promised delivery within a few days only to get email later that day of back ordered. They are really nice when your there to purchase. That's it. My furniture was all broken and they didn't want to take it back. Looks pretty and sturdy in the store. I think they deliver something else.. When you call they have you on hold for 15 minutes then automatically send you to voice-mail to leave message and they will get back to you in 48 hours. No one ever called. For 2 years we have been trying to get a response. They always say someone will reach out within 48 hours. There's a reason why they are a multi billion dollar company. Once you get a hold of them ( after about 5 tries) to discuss an issue with delivery they will tell you they are looking into but will not give you a case number nor will they call you back to update you or follow up with you.. One star for the help that we did get from them when we spent over 4 thousand dollars for furniture here and negative 4 stars for the help we got afterwards. I spoke to a lady that was rude over the phone when all I wanted to do was talk to a manager. We received our furniture Thursday and the foundation was way too tall for our set up. I called the day after everything was delivered and all I wanted was to exchange the foundation. According to their website you have 3 days to a week to make any exchanges or returns if you're unhappy with anything. But all I have been getting was the run around. It's not like we want our money back, all we want to do is an exchange... but they keep on telling us they're call us back but nothing. Please be careful and just save yourself from their bs and shop somewhere else. 4 thousand dollar may not seem like anything to them but it's a lot of money. My husband and I just walked in here to browse around while we killed time before an appointment. There were some faux plants on sale that I decided to buy (totalling less than $30). After paying for them I received my receipt and I was asked to sign an additional set of papers. Once signed, we proceeded to leave, as anyone with normal common sense would, we were told we couldn't leave. A woman (who was not the person who helped us in the floor) said we couldn't leave until we signed additional paperwork. We said we had already signed two forms and that we were ready to leave because we had an appointment to get to. She then raised her voice and said we COULD NOT leave until we signed a bunch of other forms--which she insisted THEY NEEDED signed. Trying to purchase a recliner sofa from this Ashley location has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I've ever had. From the start, the in-store pricing with the "manager special" is misleading - even with the "50% off" you're getting, it's still more expensive than the Ashley website! If you're not careful and don't check the Ashley website, you'll make the mistake I made of paying more - what kind of customer experience is this? It made me feel like a fool. Next, once you realize that you've essentially paid more for the same product, trying to call Ashley to do a price match is close to impossible. You're lucky if you reach a human by phone - you will most likely get stuck with messaging a bot or person. They will then tell you that they can't work with in-store purchases, that you'll have to call the Ashley store for assistance. Again, good luck getting an actual person on the phone. After giving up on the price match, we waited for the furniture to arrive. The delivery people showed up much earlier than the agreed upon time on our delivery date, interrupting our breakfast. Once they put together the furniture, we noticed a big tear across the arm of the sofa. We told them "no thank you, we don't want it." They make a call and guess what - they immediately get a live person on the phone, how convenient! We tell the person we just want a refund nothing else. This person then said "okay" and the phone call ended. A few days later, we check on the status of our refund, only to find out that nothing had been processed for us. Fast forward a few weeks later, we are still waiting on our refund. After going to the store in person and calling as a follow-up, we are still left with waiting on our refund and have been told to call back later for an update. Please avoid shopping at this Ashley location to save yourself the frustration we have experienced. I recently made a purchase at Ashley HomeStore, and I now regret it for choosing this furniture store. The salesman was very helpful and good no complaints there however, my furniture wasn't delivered complete and they never notified me about it until the day of delivery. Some furniture pieces were damaged and I am still having to deal with Ashley furniture headquarters in Wisconsin and the office at Miramar back and forth. I've been treated very poorly as a costumer, I am not used this treatment and it's sad to say that purchasing at Ashley HomeStore has been the worst purchase I have ever made. I'm so fed up. I will never purchase from Ashley again. The furniture is beautiful but I was mislead on the protection plan I purchased. What I was told everything was covered and it is absolutely not. I had another issue with a dining chair that was not covered and another that was covered. It was a huge hassle to get it replaced. It finally was and Ashley contacted me for delivery of the replacement chair for today. I never got a time frame so I called Ashley Customer Service this morning. Somehow, my delivery was changed to some random person and his address. She girl corrected it to my name and address but now it can't be delivered until next Monday. What the heck Ashley??? I will not shop here anymore!! Last year my wife and I came to this store last year. We spent over $7k in furniture including a power sectional. One year later one of the recliners stops working. No big deal since we have a warranty. We called the store which by the way NEVER answers their phone to activate the warranty. We spoke with the call center and were sent the wrong part not once or twice, but three times. This is already month two since my power recliner has been stuck in the open position. We have had four different technicians come to our house and take photos of the motor that needed to be replaced and it was still wrong. The last technician said it would be cheaper for Ashley at this point to just replace the recliner. Again it's just one part of the sectional but again they sent our for a replacement motor. I'll be sure to revise this post once the wrong motor is sent once again. Next time I'll just go to living spaces to get furniture. read more

Is it me or is the customer service never available by phone? I purchased a sofa and some other items on 7/3/21. The sofa didn't fit through my front door so I returned it and asked for the $199 protection warranty to be removed from my account. Here we are a month later, two additional trips to the store, and so far 36 minutes on hold and this expense for the protection warranty is still on my account. I know there is only so much the reps at the actual store can do, but seriously, how hard is it to have this removed? I called the 877 toll-free number, was on hold for 26 minutes, was transferred to another department only to be on hold again for another 10 minutes before hanging up. Going on 30 minutes on hold with the actual store. Completely ridiculous. It's 1 PM on a Wednesday, how busy can they be that no one is able to answer the phone?? read more

I had bought my wife a 4 piece wall entertainment center as a anniversary gift back on February 26, 2019 & it was delivered to our house the next week. But on the day it was delivered my wife & I had noticed some scratches, dents & chip on some areas. A big chip on the front lower corner of the TV stand, Straches on the sliding doors, metal parts, on one tower, and one of the shelve is crack on one tower. We told the delivery personnel right away & they called it in, on the spot. Ashley Furniture then scheduled a tech to come to the house & verify the damages. The tech then declared it not fixable and had to be exchanged. After the tech Ashley Furniture then scheduled a even exchange 6 times. 3 of those times they've tried to delivered a even exchange with another damage parts & 3 times they've came with partial parts. Today is now April 23, 2019 and this issue still haven't been resolved. My wife & I have been driving back & forth to the store numerous time's located in Miramar, CA that's miles away from where we live in Otay Mesa, CA. And each time's we've spoked with store supervisor/manager & I have also been in contact with the warehouse manager (David) and his supervisor's in the Colton, CA warehouse. They have been giving us false promises & we still have not received a undamaged material & the issue is still not resolved, again my wife & I purchased this 4 piece wall entertainment center on February 26, 2019 & today is now April 23, 2019. The customer service guy that sits in the middle seemed like he was way to busy to help us. Nobody on the customer service lines ever called us back when they said they would within 48hours. Also, don't let them con you into purchasing something online with them in the store because they consider it an in store purchase and won't let you return it!!! Doing it all for the commission!! If we would've known that then we would've went home to purchase it so we could get 72 hours to return it!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I have gone 41 years and have NEVER felt the need to leave a YELP review as I do today. I am DONE with Ashley Home Store San Diego on Miramar Road. The WORST customer service I have ever received. The other day my partner and I went in and ended up spending $5,000 on a new dining set of a table, 4 chairs and a bench. Then decided to get two couches, 2 end tables and a coffee table. Then an entirely new bedroom set. Headboard, 2 underneath storage areas, a dresser and 2 night stands. On 11/4/19 it was delivered at 9:30 am. As the delivery guys were putting it together, they noticed I was missing one of the bottom storage units. A key component to putting the bed together. They said it was an easy fix. They would call the warehouse and they would call me after and sort it all out. Then left. HAHAHA WHAT A JOKE! Since 9:30 am UNTIL the store closed at 9 pm I ended up calling and talking to random people ALL DAY LONG....I called Ashley Furniture and was: A) Hung up on 3 times B) Spoke to 14 different people C) Was put on hold 33 times IN A 12 HOUR PERIOD I was tossed around on the phone. The warehouse blamed the store. The store blamed the warehouse. The call center blamed both. It was the BIGGEST CLUSTER F $#% I'VE EVER (and am still) DEALING WITH!!!! It's one piece that I'm missing. That's it. But it's the one piece that will keep my new bed up and not sideways. So it's useless until it arrives. Two call center girls said I needed to pay another $200 for that piece. WHY would I pay for an ENTIRE bedroom set that didn't even have enough support to hold the bed up? Then 2 said it was available in the warehouse and could expidite it to my place YAY PROBLEM SOLVED...NOPE - Then was told it isn't actually available until 9 days away. Then realized my agreed upon $99 delivery fee was somehow almost $250????? Not a single person out of the 14 that I spoke to today could tell me when it'd be delivered or even what was happening. NOT A SINGLE MANAGER THAT I WAS PROMISED WOULD CALL ME DID!!! I also took an entire day off of work to accommodate when the delivery would happen. So I lost out on a days pay and will most likely lose out on another when they have to come pick this all up. I now am going to have to crash on a mattress on the floor (in my 20's yeah, that was fine...40's??? A lot harder to get up) Because I don't have my proper bed, that I paid for, that was supposed to arrive today, that not one manager can call me to even talk to me about. What really sucks is that I saved all year long for this. These were my first real big home purchases that I've ever been able to do. I was SO excited for all of this to arrive. Now I'm so beyond pissed off I haven't been able to enjoy ANYTHING of having this new furniture. The customer service I've gotten today is beyond the worst I have EVER gotten. I would like to start off by saying that my buying experience started bad the moment I walked in. I had seen the dinning set I wanted online but wanted to see it in person. First nobody even bother helping or even asking if everything as ok. Maybe I look young (29 years old ) to think I am serious to buy? Finally Chris was the only one that approached me and offered to help. It was an easy sale I knew what I wanted he processed the transaction and I went on my way. Fast forward to the delivery date and time... I get a text about delivery window. I called customer service to see if there were other windows available and i am told the window is not accurate and this is an "all day commitment" not because the text states a 4 hr window means they will be there at that time. Table and 4 chairs were delivered no issues. The bench was on backed order and not available for delivery until April 6th. Chris advice me to call in a week or two after the purchase day and double check the availability and possibly change the delivery date if the bench was in-stock before. Fast forward 2 weeks later, i called the local store explained I had purchased a dining set but the bench was not in stock and was scheduled for delivery on April 6th and wanted to see if I it was available now possibly changing the delivery date. She (representative) didn't even let me finish talking when she said "it's not, the 6th it's the soonest" seriously? I was calling from my office phone which it wasn't provided during the purchase process, how did she know who I was? order number? Or what bench I was talking about? Chris gave me an excellent service he was the best! Knowledgeable, nice, polite and not pushy at all. But the way the store run their business and because of customer service I will never ever buy from them again. They care about the same and that's it. they not only hurt their business but lose clients and the only people hurt in this are sales employees because they work by commission.
