I should have listened to all the bad reviews on this place. Seriously the worst furniture store ever. I bought a couch here back in October for a scheduled delivery of November 13th, they pushed it back to the November 24th. Called them again to confirm delivery they pushed it back to December 4th, then they called me again & pushed it back to December 22nd! Im so beyond irritated with them. Me and my husband bought a sectional at this store. The day it arrived, we were missing one of the end pieces of the couch. We called the store and filed a claim, we were told we would be able to get the missing piece within a couple weeks, after the claim was approved by corporate. Fast forward almost 2 months later, we still did not receive the missing piece and we're now told we have to return the couch instead because "the order was written incorrectly by the store" and getting that missing piece is not an option. The communication at that store is totally disorganized. We were back and forth with them about this missing piece, some people telling us we were only approved to return the couch, the manager told us we would be able to get our missing piece, and finally at the end of all this we had to just return the couch. We had a delivery scheduled where we were told we would be receiving the missing piece, but when the delivery guys came, they said they were only there to pick up the couch as a return. On numerous occasions, the customer service team said they would be calling us as soon as our claim was updated, that "someone has to go through these claims daily and will call you," but I was the one having to repeatedly follow up just to find out what was happening with the claim. Bought a table set at this location and from the beginning of the process it's BEEN A HORRIBLE experience. Long story short we finally received our table and a tech came out to see what our issues were and took pictures. The legs are uneven and look used and we have a large scratch on the top of the table. The Tech concluded in his notes that NOTHING WAS WRONG. Customer service called us twice and HUNG up on us. Don't buy from them! Worse experience ever! Went in july20th bought a coffee table, dresser, bed frame and a dinning table. They confirmd delivery for August 2nd. Then July 26th they rescheduled for August 25th. We were getting keys to our new house August 1st that is why we picked August 2nd. They said they couldn't do anything to change it to a sooner date. So we waited, August 25th came finally we got our furniture a month later. Everything was perfect till they started setting up the bed. The headboard was broken so they took it back. We got a call and rescheduled for a new bed augt 29th. They came and now the foot board is broken! Now we can not get a hold of anyone to help us! If you try to call the store you can't get through to anyone. I have sent multiple emails and they don't respond! I have resorted to social media. This is my first time at Ashley furniture. Not very satisfied at all. Purchased a queen bed and a mattress when it was time to be delivered the person asked if I had a box spring. I said no, one didn't want to come with it, he said no it's a separate purchase. The driver said the bed can still be slept on until I can purchase a box spring. Tried to call the store was on hold and then disconnected. I ended up having to go to the store, the supervisor assisted me but giving me a discount on a boxspring. Boxspring came two days later they were told that they could not put on bed frame which was fine. As we removed the mattress the wood in the middle was cracked (I imagine cause bed was slept on). We told delivery driver he gave us a number to call which was the wrong number. I just tried to call store again and was told to leave a voicemail message after waiting 15 minutes. So now I have to make one more visit to the store. Why would a salesman sell a bed and not mention that a box spring would not be included? NO STARS!!!! ABSOLUTELY one horrible experience! I purchased a gentleman chest in may 2020, to which I received on time BUT...... the door would not close. The delivery guys did not speak english, so there was a communication barrier. The chest stayed and with the help of the warehouse the promised they would deliver me a new door. The door took two weeks to be delivered. Once the door came, it took three weeks to get a technician. Once the technician arrived the door did not fit, so they put an order in to for another chest, to which that chest came three weeks later. Once the chest arrived, it looked as if it had been in a fight, it had black marks all over and back was completely busted. Again, I had a communication barrier and warehouse had to step it and get the guys to take it back. Finally two weeks later the new chest arrived, believe it or not the doors does not properly close...."I kept it this time." Now moving in todays complaint...I purchased a dinning room table for my mom, I had two gift cards (because of the chest), I wanted to use (valued ($200). The way they bate and switch the prices....I'm NOT quite sure if I received a deal, because on my receipt doesn't reflect my $200 gift card. I ended up spending over $1800 for a table and 5 chairs to which on line it is $1399 which includes table setting, oh yea! I paid extra for the chairs (shadey negotiations). I received all delivery information as stated and delivery came early BUT.....the chairs that were delivered were the wrong chairs. Immediately I refused the chairs, delivery guy tried to argue that they were right, but again with the help of warehouse they were sent back. BACK TO THE store, where I was treated with no respect but a young KID-ANTONIO CRUZ, who has no business working with customers because he is not a problem solver nor does he know how to manage people nor CUSTOMERS. He needs to first know how to speak to adults and even more so the elderly. He handled my mom (75yrs) and I with such disrespect that the other customer service reps kept apologizing. After the first day of disrespect, I tried to come back because ANTONIO "Tony" CRUZ , was to call and let me know if we were going to have chairs. At the discretion of the good old Warehouse team, they instructed me to return to the store to make sure they reordered the correct chairs as I should of known.....MR. CRUZ had not done his job. As soon as he saw me, he began to discuss my situation with another manager KAMI. Again, Mr. CRUZ voice began to raise which made me have to defend my integrity. Mr. Cruz even began to demean my character saying he would refuse service, to which Ashley furniture has been paid. With all of the above being said....I still have NOT received my chairs nor have I received a call from a technician regarding my server nor when I will receive my chair.....MANAGEMENT SUCKS and ANTONIO CRUZ, should learn management skills as well as customer service. read more

While Ashley have some nice furniture. Their customer service is AWFUL! After spending over $2000.00 on a bedroom set for my Son Christmas gift, I called customer service the next day to inform about malfunction in the nightstand. I was rerouted to a 800 number that never got answered. I called the 310 number for the actual store and spoke with someone who informed me that he would submit a case to there technician department for repair and/or replacement gave me a 800 number and said I would receive a email. That never happened. When I tried the automated customer service number I was informed via a generic voice service that there was not a replacement or repair order for my case. I ordered a bedroom set in September, a Cal King bed, dresser and nightstand. . A month later the bed frame and mirror was delivered. The bed frame was not what I ordered and it was a King, not Cal King. I called the salesman and he said the style in the showroom did not come in a King (he did not tell me that when I ordered it). I had to send back the bedding and comforter as they were Cal King. It is now November and I had a had a scheduled appointment for my last piece, my nightstand to be delivered. I received the text saying they were ten minutes away. They never showed up, no call, no email. The following day I called customer service and was told the driver put a note of, "No go." Nothing else. I called the Torrance store and asked to speak to a manager and was told they were with a customer and they would call me back. Still haven't received a call. Disaster from in store experience to delivery. I just wanted two barstools, I had to sign an iPad 3 times then initial 9 times sign three pieces of paper, like I'm applying for a mortgage. took 30 minutes. They then delivered the stools with missing pieces in a box that was clearly opened before and had the hardware and parts removed. Sales people are not good. Now have to wait 7-10 days for my parts. Living spaces I was checked out in 5 seconds next day delivery. Smooth operation. But not here. I hate here. Amazon is better. Retail like this deserves to go extinct. read more

Ashley Homestore is the worst! They will schedule delivery and will cancel without notification. I had to hunt for my item and this happened twice already for the same item I purchased early March. First it was scheduled for April 18, missed without notification. I called them and they said it's damaged, won't be delivered till July 11!!! What? Then they changed it again to April 24th. Waiting and waiting today, nothing!!! I called back to hunt for it and CS told me it's damaged, it's due to deliver this Monday! She has the audacity to lie to me and told me that somebody called and left message! Really? I've been on my phone waiting in case somebody from Ashley calls! it's damaged! Do I really have to rate this one star? In that case, I will consider one star as a "zero star". We were there that evening and noticed at the door they were about to close but the sales guy let us in and told us we would be his last customer. We knew he was eager and very determined to sell us something. We just wanted to browse to get an idea of what we would like. But we found a couch & love seat we liked, so we purchased it with the help and enthusiasm of the sales guy, of course. That first round was fine. The second round was the problem. He promised us our delivery date will be on October. Then a few days later we were told it's been postponed to November. Then a few weeks later the gal Leanna called and left a message telling me it's being pushed to next year January. WTF?!! I tried contacting her back and finally after waiting half-hour on the phone, the person either hung up or I was disconnected. I called again and again waited half-hour. Finally when someone picks up, and I kept saying "Hello? Hello? Anyone there?" and again the person hangs up. I don't see how this store is still in business. read more

Came in this past weekend for a new dining set and I am so pleased with how my visit went! I was greeted and taken care of by Antonio. He was very nice and knowledgeable of the store and its layout. He wasn't pushy and I liked that as well. The store had great inventory and I found the perfect set. Antonio made sure I got the best price and that it would be delivered to me promptly. Had a wonderful experience with Brandon. He spotted me in the store after I have been in the store for about 15 to 20 minutes. I had walked past several salesman some helping other customers others some not but no one looked up to interact with me. Until Brandon. Brandon would come and talk to me about a particular piece of furniture that I may have stopped to look at. He would walk away and let me ponder the information that he shared. He would show back up when he saw me looking at something else to give me more information about the piece. Finally I settled on a dining table and chairs. He was very helpful very thorough in processing the transaction. He was great in explaining everything including the furniture protection plan and cancellation policy. This store is COMPLETE TRASH, ALONG WITH THEIR COMPANY AS A WHOLE! Their customer services reps are liars. The store management cannot get it together to save their lives. I made an attempt to buy things for the house costing $200 and they legit ROBBED ME! After spending $4,000+ on furniture from them and being a loyal customer I literally CANNOT fathom. They said they couldn't put the money back on my debit card AFTER THEY CANCELLED THE ORDER WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW (12 days of waiting after the expected delivery date). Then, they lied to me, saying that it will show up in my credit card balance with them, INSTEAD OF GIVING IT BACK IN THE FORM IT WAS RECEIVED. The management said it should show up on my Ashley's card in the next month or so, here is it 3 MONTHS later and NO REFUND, and my credit card balance DOES NOT REFLECT THE $200! They as a company should close down. After talking to customer service 100 times, I have RECEIVED ZERO help. This store also doesn't answer the phone ever, so don't even try calling! Went to Ashley furniture for the first time. Went to the location on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance. The store is very big! I walked in and several feet in front of me was a woman who obviously work there who was fluffing pillows and freshening the displays. I looked at her because I thought she would welcome me to the store and I did have questions about the things I was interested in. Never looked at me, walked right by me and continued, carrying a clipboard the whole time. Unbelievable that I walked around that ENTIRE store looking at all of the displays and not one time did a sales associate say hello, ask me if I had questions, welcome me, etc. Crazy bad customer service in my opinion! This store is a rip off. One year ago I purchased a mattress. I put it over a three-year, no interest plan. I was coerced into this plan. I wanted to put it over five years, no interest. I have been paying the payments regularly for a year. Much to my surprise I found that I signed paperwork that put the promotion for only one year. I must now pay the full balance or start incurring interest. I worked with Camy Le. When I called the store they were no help. They said too bad you signed the paperwork for only one year. I asked again and again about the payment and was very clear about my intentions. They refused to help me in anyway. This is a classic bait and switch situation. Recently, my daughter purchased a nice-looking desk for her bedroom in order to do on-line college courses. This was her first time purchasing a piece of furniture from an established furniture store, she purchased it all on her own and waited several weeks to receive it. On the day the delivery was due to take place (she was so excited!), we waited patiently for the entire four hour window and when it didn't show up, I called Ashley Furniture to find out what happened to her delivery since she had to work. I spoke to a very nice man in customer service but not here in California. He told me that the only update in his computer showed that while the her order had been placed on the truck for delivery, the schedule now showed it as being rescheduled with no explanation. The customer service rep was very apologetic and seemed to care about our disappointment and frustration over the undelivered item, not to mention, our valuable time that was wasted. He said that he would put a request in for a substantial discount since my daughter paid extra to have the desk assembled during the delivery. He also stated that he would have someone call us that same evening with an update as to what happened to our deliver and, was very adamant that a manager would also call us within 24 to 48 hours has a courteous follow up do you know our complaint. We received no such phone calls or updates from anyone! My daughter had to follow up with Ashley Furniture Torrance store and was told that the reason why the delivery wasn't made was because the desk hadn't been assembled yet. WTH, it was supposed to be assembled during the delivery inside her room! We waited an extra four more days in order to have the desk delivered. While the desk was finally delivered within the 4-Hour window, the delivery men ended up carrying in the wrong desk. They took it back out to the truck and finally found the desk that she had ordered and brought it in, only to find out that the wood was a darker color than what the store / online website displayed. Because my daughter didn't want to go through any more drama or disappointment, she accepted the desk as is. To this day, we still have never received a phone call from a store manager to apologize for her first time purchase and inconvenience that Ashley Furniture caused. Needless to say, she didn't receive a discount/credit either. In searching further reviews for Ashley Furniture, we have read similar complaints indicating that tons of customers have had delivery issues as well.
