I found a sofa that I wanted to buy; it was advertised at Ashley's and online elsewhere for a lower price. I chatted with an Ashley's online customer rep, who told me they do price matching. I shared the link of the competitor and the rep agreed that it qualified for a match. However, it was out of stock on the Ashley website, and even though the site said buy it now and we'll ship when it's available, there was no 'buy' button on the page. The Ashley online customer rep told me to go to the store to finish the transaction where I would have no problems. I drive 30 minutes to the Torrance store only to have the store manager tell me that they won't honor the price - matching is only for 'real' stores. He didn't care what the online rep said. I don't know if it was the Ashley service rep I chatted online with or the local store manager who was uninformed or lying, and I don't know why the website says to buy it and then there's no button on the page, but this was frustrating for what should have been an easy sale. read more

Horrible experience sales people lie to you and laugh all the way to the bank. After they get your money and after you get your furniture delivered they really want nothing to do with you. Corporate talks bad about the stores the sales people talk bad about other sales people. I purchase a sofa two in tables and a TV stand from Ashley Home Store. Was told with my paid delivery they would assemble and install everything. Went to the store several times because I was going to add more items to it spoke to my sales person even the assistant store manager stated to me they will install everything Miss don't worry about anything. Well that was a big lie when the delivery people came to my home they dumped a rat sofa and three boxes off at my house and said the sales people lie all the time they didn't tell you that we were not going to assemble or install anything. I'm 65 and handicap and was sitting in my home with boxes and a wrap self in plastic I had to put up $340 to get someone to come to my home and assemble it I had to fight with the store to give me money to pay for the assembly we're all they had to do was be honest from the very beginning so I could make my decision whether I wanted to purchase from them or not. Buyer beware make sure when you purchase from Ashley's Home store in Torrance on Hawthorne Blvd that they charge you for assembly because they're not going to assemble anything without charging you. Which they lied to me about! They charge to assemble almost everything they sell and somethings they will not even assemble. Imagine going to a furniture store and paying over $100 for delivery and they just dump it off in your living room. That's not even counting that when the person that came over to my home to assemble everything in the boxes was chunked up and damaged. Cheap pressboard furniture with a laminate glued on it, I could've purchased better quality furniture at IKEA and I have. Once more buyer beware. Had great experience with the salesperson Angel and bought 4 chairs. When coming back to pick up my chairs, I was told by a very rude lazy guy name Tony Cruz that I had to carry those chairs out by myself. His excuse for him refusing to help me was that it's a liability. I almost fell trying to maneuver around their tight showroom display while carry the chairs back and forth. What kind of inconsiderate person to see a lady carrying the chairs by herself and just watch! What a piece of crap service is that! Who will the liability lie when I get hurt carrying those chairs in Ashley furniture store on Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance. I was boiling with anger by the way I was treated by this Tony Cruz and I was going to tell him off after I was done but luckily Angel my salesperson saw me and ran to help at the end. Angel apologized and calmed me down even though it was not his doing. This made me realize that no good Tony's excuse was just merely a way to get out of getting his soft hands from doing work. Ashley furniture should not have someone like Tony to put their company at risk for liability as well as to pull their company's reputation down. Because of Tony's thoughtlessness and ill-mannerism, I will never return to Ashley Furniture and will inform everyone I know of this terrible experience. read more

If this place could be given no stars or even negative stars, that would fit their overall service. I order my bedroom set about 2 months ago and I still haven't received my items. This store does not call nor text you to update you about your deliveries either. I had to contact them just to bring my bed which was just sitting in stock at the store but couldn't be delivered til 3 days after that!! I am still waiting on my dresser and no one has contacted me with a window to deliver. I don't care if we are experiencing COVID, that does not stop anyone from make simple communication to your customers!! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A PIECE OF FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY HOMES STORE EVER AGAIN!! I couldn't go here even if you gave me something free, I'll be waiting on that too. Whole store and company is just a disgrace as much as disrespectful with the old sales associates who can't handle a customer and so on... I'm officially done with Ashley's Furniture/Homestore all of the above! We ordered a dresser and two nightstands on 10/10/2020 and paid $1500 for these items we were told delivery would be towards the end of November 2020. However, to our disbelief, our delivery date was pushed back multiple times due to the items on back order(seems to be their excuse every time). We did not end up getting our furniture until January 22nd which was ridiculous! Please note I was 7 months pregnant! On January 22nd the delivery guys were rushing putting the handles on the dresser and he ended up breaking one of the handles (serious eye roll). The options that were given by Ashley's was to take the furniture back and wait some more months (which meant added stress once baby gets here) for a new dresser or wait for a new handle to be mailed out to me. The sales rep indicated once I get the new handle I can call back to have a tech come install it. Needless to say I'm still waiting on that handle, (oh and was advised by Alyssa in dispatch they can't track the item) so she gave me a case #. Now after careful inspection the furniture was clearly put together in what seems like a rush job...so much for our $1500 now I'm here with a missing handle to the drawer... this is very disappointing and for no one to be able to assist is ridiculous...This company is horrible all around. I will NEVER purchase from them or refer them ever again! read more

Worst customer service and lack of competence when it comes to problem solving. To begin, we were given to a different sales person half way through our purchase, which began the confusion. We scheduled everything, table, chairs, rug, plates and placemats to be delivered yesterday. The plates and placemats were not with the delivery and we were told we had to pick them in the store. After a weekend of moving, that's the last thing we wanted to do, but we went today to pick them up. Were they boxed up and ready to go, of course not. We did get to see two customer service associates argue back and forth while we waited so that was something. They finally packed the dishes from the floor into a random box and handed it to us. When asked about the placemats, three people acted clueless. We left with no placemats, which isn't even the issue, the issue is the lack of professionalism and ability to solve a problem that they created. read more

I went in to this store and was helped by Floyd Rogers who was a complete joke, after spending $3,500 for a new bedroom set that took a month to get, Floyd called me on Monday to let me know that my delivery was scheduled for that Wednesday. When the delivery arrived they set up the bed and delivered the nightstand and then told me that the mattress was on backorder and the dresser would be delivered in another month. After telling the driver to take the stuff back that i was upset that Floyd did not tell me that there was no mattress or dresser i then got a call from Ashleys asking me to wait for my mattress another 3 days. This was a horrible experience. But here is the best part of the whole situation. On the following Sunday Floyd the salesman called me and flat out lied to me and said that he knew that i didn't get my whole order but wanted to see if i wanted to re-schedule my delivery and said that he had no record of what happened. The bottom line was that i went to Mathis Bros and told them about my experience and they gave me a really nice bedroom set with free delivery and i only had to spend $2,800 with them. The worst experience ever, my husband and I where in the store for hours. Our sales Rep accidentally deleted our order during check out. The manager had to come and assist him. We were late to an engagement because of it, after all of that we thought everything was squared away. Fast forward to our delivery date, we didn't get a delivery conformation because our Rep put in the wrong contact information and the wrong address. My husband contacted them immediately to inquire about our delivery. They said they called us to change our order because one of our items was on back order. My husband gave them our correct address and contact info. They never showed up to deliver our items, so my husband called them again and of course they still tried to deliver to the wrong address. Instead of making the situation right and actually delivering our items, they told us the driver couldn't come back because he was in a different area and we have to wait another week for them to be in our area to deliver. When I walked in the store, I was greeted and told they were having a sale and everyone was soo nice. I came in there to look at a specific couch that I wanted and they had it. I started having problems with the delivery. The sales lady that took my order, wrote the order down wrong. So of course the delivery that came out not ONCE but TWICE deliver the wrong pieces. I was also told that I would get my money back for delivery for my inconvenience. When I went back to this location, I was told that they could only give me the money back on the Ashley's Home Store card, not my debit card that I use to pay for shipping with. Not understanding how they cannot return my money the same way I paid them.The manager was rude as well as the girl that was sitting behind the desk. Ashley's Home Store last experience for me was extremely difficult! I would never do business with them again!!! Still trying to get my money back on my debit card til this day. This location SUCKS! Ask for Hector if you want a good buying experience (he speaks Spanish as well). I've been in sales for 5 years and I can tell you no one wants to pushy sales guy, furthermore people seem to complain about associates following them around which is hilarious. I find if you want a good buying experience you must also act accordingly. If you dont like it say something, I enjoyed having Hector hover around incase we had any questions which we did have on some products. When we finally settled on a couch set that we liked Hector told us the total price right away, gave us a good price and super accurate shipping time and I say that because we have already received our set. He did pitch the warranty to us, and explained very simply and short how it works and the process which I appreciate it, but having no kids in the household we held off. It was a busy Saturday so I was concerned about checkout but no doubt Hector took us to a computer rather than using a tablet (he mentioned the tablets are slower for checkout) and he finalized and confirmed everything for us within minutes. We left that day with no doubt and very happy with the great and fast service, we will comeback and see him again for our next purchase. read more

Me and my wife have to give this store a two star based on their customer service. When we purchased in store, we had a seller and manager say how much we were saving but when after we purchased the online order was cheaper from what we ordered. The furniture is great we are grateful for that. We also just got married and the gave us a free rug which was great too. And I didn't write a review. But our delivery was delayed about 4 times. And our furniture was damaged during the process but very little scratches yet we spent over $5k so it means something to us when that much being spent gets damaged. Still didn't write a review then but now we are moving and noticed we didn't get any instructions to assemble and disassemble. I've called both store numbers and customer service number a couple times and left messages but still no response. Just my experience with Ashley's and we're done with this place. Went to Ashley furnitures 4 separate occasions and had 4 different experience. When we went the first time . Beatriz was real helpfully the first time. We Went the second time Beatriz was with a customer so she had Joshua help my husband and I, he seems to only be nice an pleasant because we was purchasing our chairs and he was going to get part of the commission. Went back the third time. The workers was standing around when we walk in and no one seems to acknowledge that we came into the store, no hello, or how may we help you?or even said, we will be with you in a minute. Joshua was very snobby and rude when he did decide to speak to us, one of the workers said Joshua would be with us in a minute, we'll 10 minutes had past buy and Joshua still didn't take care of us. My husband and I went to sit by some chairs and wait for Joshua, well Joshua past by us and said, he will be with us in a minute then he past back with another customer, Which we was there before the customer, so I said we was before them and he said "I'll be with you in a minute ". I told him nope I was fine. My husband and I went back for the fourth time and the experience was amazing. Floyd took good care of my husband and I. Floyd was very patient. His customer service was excellent. Joshua seems to judge the customer base on he thinking that they will buy from the store. He is young and need more customer service skills. read more
