I wanted to give them two stars because, how exactly is one supposed to eat this food in a hotel room with zero utensils? . (Nothing but food in the bag, no napkin, no utensils). One puts their clothes back on and goes down to the hotel desk and gets a utensil pack. Anyway... after I had a way to get the food to my mouth, it was fabulous so..you got 4 stars. (One star dinged for the utensil fail). Wonton soup was some of the best I've had. Super rich yummy broth and fresh tasty wontons. Beef and Broccoli was silky and delicious. All delivered piping hot. Very yummy- just make it a habit to include a utensil pack for delivery.

Really enjoyed Gen Tso's Chicken and the fried rice. Lady working the counter is always helpful with a smile.

Excellent pepper chicken and Hunan chicken. The spring rolls and egg drop soup is also very good.

Excellent food. Love the pepper chicken. My wife loves the Hunan chicken. Best place in Ashburn. Large portions at a reasonable price.

Chau's Cafe has been on and off my radar these past few years. When I saw that Yelp friend, Lyn L…read more went there recently and gave them high marks, we decided to give them a try. Be prepared to hunt for the place if you've never been to the shopping center, which is quite close to Route 7. We were here around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. At that time of day, there was one occupied table. Ordering food means going to the counter and giving your order to the person working there, and then paying. They have a menu on the wall, but the woman working there told us to look at the paper menu. Apparently, the menu on the wall is constantly changing. Before coming, we decided to order Mongolian beef, ma po tofu, and two small bowls of hot and sour soup. At first, my husband couldn't find the Mongolian beef on the menu. I took a look and found it is listed under the chef's specials. We gave our order and also got a can of ginger ale from the refrigerated chest. After paying, we chose a four top table for ourselves. The food came out quickly! First, the hot and sour soup came. It was served hot and did have some kick to it. We both enjoyed it. It does have quite a few button mushrooms in it, which I gave to my husband. Just as we were finishing the soup, both our entrees arrived. We both liked the Mongolian beef (which also had an abundance of button mushrooms). The sauce was tasty, and the beef was tender. As for the ma po tofu, we thought it was okay but could have been better. It's a meat-free entree that basically has large pieces of tofu, a lot of thin, spicy sauce, and bits of green onions. We each were given generous portions of white rice. We would consider visiting again in the future, as the service was excellent. As for ambiance, it has a carry-out place feel. It's kept quite clean.

Their fried rice is a huge take our container. Online ordering is so easy. I often customize my meals because of my pickiness. The place has a small eat in dining area. It's very clean. We have been ordering directly off Chin Chins web site for about 12+ years. Food was always good…read moreand resonably priced. Today we ordered for the last time. We have noticed things have been gradually going down hill, for example they always included like and peanuts with the pad thai. They recently did away with that. The general tsos has been hit or miss. Today, we decided it is time to move on after paying $60 for an order of dumplings (they were good), general tsos and pad thai to be delivered from their sit. Not Door Dash or Uber Eats but their site directly using their own delivery drivers. Always order the general tsos less mild and then pad thai normal. Today both were less spicy, the pad that was VERY bland. Have noticed every time we order the general tsos went from the container being compelely filled with chicken to being 3/4 and today even less and the price continues to go up, now bring $19. At this point, cost is up, flavor and quantity are down. Sorry Chin Chin but this past loyal customer is looking elsewhere and recommend at this point others do the same.

We ordered the duo broth--beef and tom yum--and both were absolutely delicious. The beef broth was rich and flavorful, while the Tom yum had just the right amount of heat to give it a kick. The quality of the meat was impressive--tender and well-marbled--and the variety of fresh veggies, noodles, and dipping sauces made it easy to customize our hot pot experience. The service was great too--attentive without being overbearing. I really appreciated how clean and well-organized everything was, especially given how busy they can get. If you're a hot pot lover like me, Hot Pot Legend is definitely worth checking out! I'll definitely be coming back for more.

I'm not a negative review kind of guy, but when it sucks, it sucks…read more We usually visit once a month, and have not previously encountered a reason to complain. But today broke us. We walked in for lunch and it was busy, 10+ tables. It took a minute to be seated, no big deal, but we noticed immediately that the man seating us was also the ONLY employee on the floor. We watched as he made drinks, boba, pulled cases of Coke behind the counter, refilled water, and some 10 minutes later, finally made it over to take our order. We were very leery, but another employee suddenly appeared out of the back with the table settings and we were assured it was fine. We order and it takes about 10 more minutes just to get the broth. That starts BOILING before any of the meats, vegetables, or other items are delivered to the table. By this point we haven't eaten anything other than the complimentary peanuts and cucumbers, and we've been there a half-hour. My son's chicken arrives soon thereafter, and we finally receive the hot pot stuff. And that's the last we saw of the service team until he brought the check nearly 30 minutes later. We tried waving him down for refills, the other employee walked by and asked if we wanted a refill on the broths and then forgot about us. For an all-you-can-eat hot pot place, they sure can save a ton of money by never refilling your items, drinks, or broth. He brought out the check at nearly an hour later and I asked why he hadn't offered me a refill for any of the hot pot items. He apologized and then asked if I would be paying via card. I used the reward dollars we'd saved from previous visits because we don't think we'll be returning. Literally, absolutely zero inclination to serve us more food or even acknowledge that we were still hungry and hadn't seen him or any other staff after the initial table set. I removed the defaulted 22% tip HE selected on the credit card reader he brought to the table and asked for the manager. He said he'd be back, then disappeared to the kitchen immediately and didn't return for the 10 minutes we decided to wait. Another customer asked us if we'd visited before, and we told them we were monthly visitors, but this would likely be our last time. Another employee we hadn't seen the entire time we'd been there came to bus the table and we asked her if there were problems. She told us she couldn't talk about it, then hurried off to the back without even finishing our table. Most likely they were at least watching her, and would retaliate if she said anything out of line. A group walking in heard me complaining as we walked out, stopped me to ask what happened, then followed us back out the door. Can't recommend them anymore. Not sure what happened in the month since we were last there, but it's apparent it's not being managed actively. Short staffed is one issue, being poorly staffed by employees who don't care is a larger problem. Maybe new ownership and management is needed, if it continues like this, the corner will be vacant before too long. Sad, because this was a good place without having to drive to Falls Church. They could've cornered the market here in Ashburn.
