I decided while I was out to stop past Asia Cafe to meet the people who we always order from via DoorDash. I ordered my food and tipped $4.00. I then came back in to get order and the cashier only put in half of my order so I had to again wait for the other part. When I opened the bag on my first order, there was only one packet of soy sauce. When the other part of the order was ready, I sent my son in to get it because I was already walking on my sprained ankle as it was and didn't want to push it. I asked my son to ask for extra mustard and soy sauce and he came out with one of each. I went back in and asked for extra, she gave me another soy sauce and another hot mustard and I then looked at her and asked for more she then asked how many, I was so pissed off that I said just 2 of each, she gave me one more of each instead. I tipped $4.00 to say thank you in an effort to be nice and I couldn't get extra sauces which was unbelievable! I will never go there again as I realized she was not grateful at all! She didn't even say thank you after taking and looking at the receipt with the tip. I ordered wonton soup and one large fried rice with shrimp and another plain chicken fried rice. Not sure where everyone else ate, but this place was beyond disappointing. What little chicken was in the crispy chicken was past its prime, and burnt. Sesame beef was all breading and sauce covering up gray meat. Crab Rangoon was saturated with oil. Anything that was fried tasted of burnt oil, and not fresh. The fried rice was nothing more than white rice with soy sauce mixed in. The entire order went into the trash tonight. This is the second time I've tried this place. Both times I would have been better off going for mall food court Chinese food. read more

Ordered a General Tso's chicken (extra spicy) and Mongolian beef (extra spicy) for lunch. Both dishes had no spice whatsoever. The batter on the chicken had a decent crispness but where was the chicken? 90/10 batter to chicken ratio with wilted broccoli underneath the bland, sweet sauce. The beef was one of the worst dishes I ever had: the meat had some sort of a coating on it (most likely starch) and the sauce was just a tasteless brown emulsion with loads of onions and a few sprigs of scallion floating. No char from the wok, no flavor, just a typical Americanized Chinese that most places do better. Wasted $24 plus tip. read more

Ordered delivery that was supposed to take 45 minutes; instead it took 1 1/2 hours. The general tsaos chicken was crunchy and gross. The steamed dumplings were undercooked and inedible. We took 3 bites and tossed it. read more

Went there for lunch for the first time. I had ordered General Tso's Lunch special for $6.75 (i think)...not expecting much. Usually I am not impressed with Chinese food "lunch specials" because it is usually pre-cooked and sitting in a serving container. under a heat lamp. First off, the place was mostly empty and I had I waited for 10 minutes. I didn't mind at all. When my order came out, there was a lot of food for $6.75. You get the entree, fried rice, fresh brocolli (not wilted), egg roll (it's okay-just an egg roll), and a can of soda! I could only eat half. Save some for lunch another day. Another thing about this entree is that the General Tso's chicken was crunchy, and not drenched in Sauce. Next time I will venture out and try something else on their menu. read more

This is my favorite take out spot. A small and easy to miss spot in the Broadlands Shopping Center. The food is made quick and delicious. Perfect on a Friday night when I don't want to cook. The woman at the front counter is so friendly and patient with all my questions about ingredients for my family's allergy concerns. read more

Food is always good, consistent, I have never been "surprised" .Delivery time is usually right at the minute mark, not super fast but, not slow either. I tend to order the same few things. Orange chicken, Mongolian beef, egg rolls, crab rangoon,and the fried rice. I have never eaten in the restaurant itself, always delivery, so I can't speak to it's cleanliness,etc. Drivers are always courteous and the food is packed well, no spillage,torn containers,crushed items, etc . read more

For those who think that this restaurant is terrible, you must be a McDonalds or Wendy junk food eater, with no taste for other foods. I am originally from NYC and we all know that Chinese food there is great. Considering the area of VA this is located in, this will just about the only Chinese food that you will get fresh. I go there a lot, in fact I drive 12 miles out of my way to go there. I have brought many friends to eat there, and I always tell them not to expect a big restaurant or fancy bells and whistles just good fresh food made to order, they have all agreed on the quality. I will agree on one thing they can improve on, is the Peanut Sauce that goes with the Summer Rolls, unless you ask for the real deal, you will get a watered down version, other than this issue. I have been here only once, but felt that this place deserved a good review based on an overall good experience. With the weather cold and windy on a Sunday afternoon, I decide to try this new place since I'd been craving for Chinese food for a few days. As soon as I enter, I am pleasantly greeted by a lady behind the desk. The seats are all empty, probably because most people order takeout. The decor inside is simple and seems authentic Chinese, but I'd have to ask my Chinese friends more about that. Their "lunch box" available until 3 pm everyday is a pretty good deal, which includes an entree that comes along with fried rice, egg roll and a free soup or soda. Being a vegetarian, I asked for the Hunan Vegetables, and requested for the other items that are part of the lunch box. The lady indicated that the egg roll has meat in it, and offered to substitute it with spring rolls. Nice! As for the free soup/soda, I obviously chose the soup since it was a cold day. This time I was offered the egg drop soup, with the assurance that the broth does not contain any meat. Apparently all the other soups that were offered free came with a non-vegetarian broth. I was already impressed, seeing that the person at the desk was very polite, which is not too common in other Chinese fast food places. But the best part was the food. In most places when you order vegetables, they fill up the plate with a lot of broccoli. Not here; the dish was more balanced in terms of the variety of vegetables used. Moreover, the food was simply delicious! I will definitely come here more often. My only gripe, though, is that the crispy wonton chips that came with the soup was a little stale and cold. But this was probably a one-off thing on a lazy Sunday afternoon. read more

I'm a big fan of this place. A while back we were looking for a place in the area for good Chinese food. We were a bit cautious with Asia Cafe at first because the place is small with not a lot of sit down traffic. We soon came to understand that a lot of their service is based on take out. So we gave them a shot, and the rest is history! Easily the best tasting Chinese food in the area. Everything is made to order, hot, and ready on time. Crispy Beef is to die for! Yum. do not eat here!!! i had a hair in my soup (the cheapest item on my large order) one time last month after ordering from them for over a year and called and asked them to exchange it without conflict or demanding my money back or my tip that was more than the soup (the exchange item was cheaper too) so today my sister is visiting and she called to order and they told her "we no take your order cause your sister complain"" really????? read more
