We've been going there for years. Food has always been great and the service has been amazing. But since they've reopened we've been there twice and both times were a bad experience. There was food all over the floor, over half the tables were unoccupied but had dirty dishes and food left on them ( that remained on them the entire time we were there) people actually were coming in to eat and had to get takeout because there was no where to sit and the waitress would disappear in the back for 5 and 10 minutes at a time. We had to ask for drinks and silverware, our orders were wrong, the egg rolls & wontons were over cooked and hard and both times the bill was wrong and we were over charged by more than $30 both occasions. The kicker... there was a different person working up front each time. Sad to say we will likely wait a year or more before giving them another try. read more

I've been in this area for work, and when I talk to the people in the area they always recommend Asia Kitchen. I finally went in today for lunch and the restaurant was pretty busy. Christmas Eve. We recently moved to Elizabeth, looking for good Chinese. Placed our order for take out. Sounded busy, we were told it would be an hour. It was almost cold by the time we got it home. Definitely tasty and would have been even better served hot. Since they take your phone number, they should text when it's ready. That would have been optimal. read more

today is Tuesday, September 23, 2024 I just ordered lunch from Asia Kitchen, I've never had a problem before, and I have been coming by here for pick up for at least six years. I've never had an issue with the food before, today I got yellow broccoli, and the greasiest beef and broccoli, I have ever gotten. Should've put the broccoli in the trash instead of cooking it and selling it and I don't know what was up with the greasiness but anyway I couldn't eat it. I called the young lady and told her I wanted to bring it back to show it to her and she told me she didn't need to see it and if I didn't like it I SHOULD NOT COME BACK! So OK, I won't. I've never seen this girl before, but she was so rude on the phone that I will never go back and I'm just dumping my lunch in the trash. I'm glad you like to turn away business instead of trying to fix it. But no problem. I know she didn't know who I was, but she told me that I always complain about the food, and I have never complained about their food before, except for one time when I ordered shrimp, and they gave me chicken. And it wasn't even for me. It was for my neighbor. what a RUDE, and totally ungrateful employee, and you're right I will never go back. Best Chinese food in Elizabeth. Best Chinese food in Douglas county. Their hot sour soup is very good with real Chinese condiments and just enough heat. Their garlic chicken and Kung pao chicken are so delicious. Even to go food is served so hot. I highly recommend this restaurant in a little town of Elizabeth. read more

I suppose when I previously ordered take it was a good night, not the norm. Ordered take out and upon arrival saw a man who was either having a mental health crisis, mad and/or on drugs (was smoking something that was not THC or tobacco) and acting erratically. It wasn't until after paying did I realize it was someone who worked in the kitchen. My safety felt threatened walking past this individual and to think he was preparing food is scary and explains a lot. On the drive home I noticed the food was leaking out of the containers into the box and all over my car because lids to the containers were not secured properly. The chicken was so dry, inedible and was like trying to chew leather. The low mein noodles were tasteless except that so much sugar was added they were incredibly sweet. Gross. The sauteed vegetables were over cooked, dripping all over with a sweet sauce. I do not expect simple sauteed vegetables to have so much added sugar that the taste is overwhelmingly sweet! The smell of the Pho on the drive home was nauseating due to the overwhelming addition of anise. Yes, anise is added to pho broth but not in this amount, I make it frequently. I ordered 'meatball' pho which was absolutely inedible and certainly a mystery meat that was highly processed. There is no answer as to what the meatball is composed of. When I called and told the person who took my order that the chicken was so dry, overcooked and inedible she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone after multiple attempts at calling back. That was $99 of food that was totally wasted and inedible. Hindsight, I have never seen anyone eating in this place or leaving with take out. STAY AWAY from this place. read more

Their sign is down and I had to actually look up the outside photos on Yelp to be sure it was the right place, so make sure you know what you are looking for when you stop by. I got the lunch General Tso with hot and sour soup. The soup was pretty average, about as expected. The chicken had good flavor and had some spice to it. I didn't care for the egg roll or whatever came with the meal (it was soft throughout, but I like a crisp shell and more veggies inside). The fried rice was good as well. The server was friendly and the food came out very quickly. I'll try out a few more meals here. read more

We also got the sesame chicken (recommended by waitress) and it was amazing as well. Both came with fried rice. It all exceeded our expectations. They charge extra money for the bag of noodle to dip in soup and the dry noodle tasted old and oily. This place took advantage of the only restaurant in Elizabeth. I really like this place. They have really decent Chinese which can be difficult to come by these days, especially out here. Their hot & sour soup is so delicious. Their staffs always super friendly and it's usually not a long wait; though sometimes of course, everyone had the same idea as you and went for Chinese that night too but even the it's no more than you'd expect in such a situation.
