The food was not fresh. The sauce on the General Tso's chicken and the Honey Chicken was really good. But the chicken itself was very dry and tough. The food is really good and that's what keeps me and my friend coming back a lot! We both eat here a good amount together and love the food but there's just one thing that annoys us and it's how you get treated by the waitresses. If there was another buffet with as good food within a 15 minute drive I would deff go there instead! They barely get your drinks, one that's always there is giving dirty looks a lot, all of them ask for the money while your eating...will stand there while your actively eating and say "you pay now" then will count the money in front of you. We have been in the restaurant business ourselves and are very empathetic to all of the challenges that face owners, operators and employees in the restaurant / hospitality industry. That being said, our most recent visit verified why the place was empty. From the unfriendly greeting, to virtually all of the offerings, soup and entree items seemed to be old and leftovers, there was no one manning the hibachi grill, the restrooms were disgusting and the list goes on. Readers, please understand I would give this place a 2.5 if I could. Three stars on my scale is pretty good. Ok, I'm going to cut to the chase here. My husband and I came here, despite the one star only reviews. The other two establishments we tried to go to for lunch were closed for the holiday. We were seated, it was packed and we went for our first round. I found some great things such as the pepper chicken. I was impressed to discover they actually used proper Chinese "huajiao" peppercorns in it. First big plus for me. I shamelessly love crab rangoon and that funky red sauce and I was completely satisfied here. Ummm, what else did I have that I liked? The pickled octopus tentacles and...oh my god, how could I possibly forget----FROG LEGS!!! Awesomeness. They were nicely breaded, peppered and warm. But then I made the mistake of looking to my left and seeing a few vultures panting around the crab leg pan. In a flash, the kitchen staff exchanged the old pan for a new pan full of steaming crab legs. A little female vulture grabbed those tongs and just started piling her plate high. Then a little higher. And then, yep you guessed it, a little higher. By this time I'd say there was a quarter left in the pan. I carefully took one select crab leg. One. I returned to my table and silently ate my first round. Drank some tea and decided to go one more time after a bit. Again, I went for the tasty pepper chicken and some green beans (yum!!!) What do you know, but the same greedy crab leg hoarder lady was back at it again. Deja vu. Complete repeat of previous hoarding behavior. Plate 3/4ths full and wasn't really stopping this time. I said, "Hi. Ummm there are other people eating at this restaurant and we are all paying the same price. Not to mention, this is the second time I've watched you do this." She just shrugged and seemed to think I was funny for calling her out on that. I walked back to my seat and just SMH. I really implore this place to set up some kind of special crab station where you either have a scale and someone weighing what you took and that way you can pay extra. OR have an option of non-crab buffet price. Again, this would require you to have a separate crab station. Either way, this is really not fair to the other customers. We should be civilized people by now, but it looks like there are still a few savages out there. So, let's not ruin it for every one else and put some kind of rule or exception when it comes to those greedy hoarders. Also, I will say this. The wait staff was very nice to us. Here's the thing, I read all the reviews before I went. Under new management, stale food, rubbery food, horribly overpriced etc. I decided to go anyway, because buffets are pretty subjective to personal preference. Here's my experience. You do have to pay upfront before you eat. For two people and one soft drink it wound up being $36. While that's a bit on the high side, I wouldn't say that horrible. It does seem like it's managed by an Indian family instead of Asian which makes a pretty big difference. They had five Buffet tables but only three operating. Two were empty. This was at a peak time on a high traffic day. The food selection is nothing to brag about on the buffet. A lot of it did taste rubbery, but most of the items had pretty good flavor. For example, the teriyaki chicken tasted like it was about five hours old. But the jalapeño shrimp was pretty fantastic. I think the biggest disappointment was the hibachi. Hardly any selections to choose from and a five minute wait for the guy to come out and start cooking it. Again, this was during peak rush-hour. There are many smaller Asian buffets that are doing a much better job. You can tell whoever owns this, strictly cares about maximizing profits, rather than providing a quality experience that will get return customers. I needed to see for myself, and my consensus is I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. read more

I was really surprised that the interior of this restaurant was nice and clean. The hot line was spotless and a server was always walking around the line ensuring that everything was full and clean. I used to enjoy this buffet and have said it was the last decent one left in the Dayton area. Sadly, last night's experience changed all of that. The first clue I noticed was the parking lot - not anywhere near the crowd I remember. The horrid food quality confirmed what was going on. I filled my plate with small samples of many of the dishes as I was suspect of their appearance. Every piece of chicken was dry, resembling shoe leather - obviously had been setting in the steam table a long time. Breadings were soggy mush. The pot stickers were actually cold. We also noticed the absence of snow crab legs - a significant feature. My wife decided to try the grill as this would at least guarantee her food to fresh and hot. Her chicken was over cooked and inedible. I tried to find something redeeming and sampled almost every dish, this search was unsuccessful. Upon paying our bill, I was waiting for "how was your meal?", but I guess they know better than to ask such. As the cashier was counting my change, I inquired about the missing crab legs. The only response I got was from another gal sitting behind the counter. She never looked up from playing with her phone... "no". This meal for two with tip was $30. It wasn't worth $2. read more

Someone ought to do one of those Prime Time Live Special Reports on these Asian Buffets--- Both for the sad, beaten-down workers who could probably ALL tell you stories that would a) make you ashamed of that third (or fourth?!?) plate of "Asian" food you just scarfed down, and b) YOU AND I, the reluctant gluttons who KNOW better than to come to places like this... that unashamedly are what they are ("exotic" pit-stops for the perpetually hungry and chronically gastric...) We had a family birthday brunch at this place on a Sunday afternoon, and one positive note is that they were VERY accomodating to our group of 20 (special room, somewhat attentive drink order takers...) Like all buffets, they have their good choices (whatever doesn't seem to be swimming in oil and/or hours old and dried out) and their bad choices (reverse the previous comment, and add anything that's pseudo safe/American, i.e. formerly frozen pizza, gummy mac & cheese, etc...) I always imagine if I'm a) reasonably careful and b) don't feel the need to tempt fate and try "a little" of everything, I'll be ok.... But it NEVER works!!! Not sure what happens here (and any place that has the audacity to challenge us to ALL we "can" eat) but the results are NEVER good!! They have a wide variety of tasty food here, including all you can eat crab legs during dinner. They have lots of soup selections and their crab rangoon in my favorite here over any asain restaurant around There's a small sushi bar which I've found hit or miss on the flavor aspect. Sometimes the sushi tastes really good and fresh, other times I have to spit it right back out because it tastes a bit off. The hibachi grill at this location is usually top knotch, but I kind of lost my stomach when I saw the cook sneeze openly into the air right in the direction of the food he was preparing. My friend and I paid just a little over $12 for two good sized meals TO GO - AND a big honkin' hot and sour soup (that was so good on a cold and blustery day.) We came on a Sunday, so they did have a deal, but still. I was shocked that we got those two heavy (it's by the lb.) meals for that cheap. First off - I don't know why they have macaroni and cheese at an Asian buffet. I just don't. I don't know why they have cream puffs, either. I really.. just don't know. Buf I like it. I also like that you can get sushi, pineapple chicken, tapioca pudding, jello, hot and sour soup, cucumber salad, and spicy tofu all in one go. That is one awesome buffet. There are a few times in my life when I would rather have Asian buffet than waffle House. I tend to stop by many Chinese buffets a lot on the road. The first thing you notice are the friendy people at the door that greet you then ask "will this be one or two checks" then you are amazed at the selection of American, chinese, americanized Japanese and potentially Mongolian food. Any who, I love this place and it beats any chain restaurant any day of the week, including Sunday. Like food for ghosts, this buffet gets a boo. One of the shrimp dishes on the hot buffet was below room temperature- steamer tray must have called in with a cold. "Sushi" is just rolled up rice that was shown a clip from Finding Nemo. The pot stickers looked undercooked and prepared by a rescue dog with his first set of tongs. Showed up for a big annual event that was being held in your Buckeye Room. I have Celiac disease and never eat Chinese food because of the problem with wheat and cross contamination with other foods. I did not come here to eat but to enjoy the company of a room full of friends. I was refused admittance because I was not going to eat their lunch, regardless of whether I had allergies or not. And I was not going to pay $14.93 just to get in and not be able to eat. We have been to other Asian restaurants throughout the city and I have never been denied admittance before. There was another couple behind us in our party who also left because she could not eat the food either. So, at least 2 paying customers walked out your door because our spouses didn't want to stay if we couldn't get in with them. I have looked on your site and saw nothing that says you won't be allowed into a buffet if you aren't eating. I realize that there are people who would probably take advantage of this but you really need to realize that there are honest people in this world. For the first time since I have had this disease I was discriminated against and it was not a good feeling. I would like to point out to you that this scheduled event generated quite a lot of money for your establishment that you would not have had if this event has not been scheduled there. I am so angry I wasted my money here, 10.59 for dinner. My husband and I went here 9/21/11 at 6pm and there were about 6 tables taken. I think this should have been a clue. If you take it for what it is it's a great place to go. Factor in that you get hibachi and sushi at no extra charge and I don't see what there is to complain about. This place is horrible!! The food is just terrible, my dog wouldn't even eat it!! Old stale, crusty food, no flavor, the fresh hibachi food looks terrible sitting there, room temperature no ice!! Food selection is horrible, just like the taste!! Then my wife found a hair in her food and that was it, left first plate with just a few bites off of it and went to get our money back and leave, the 3 women at counter refused to give money back!! finally they said they would refund part of it, but instead of giving back the amount they said they took it and gave us 13 bucks back out of 31!!! Manager came and gave us 7 bucks back of the 17 they kept!!! Said it cost him money to throw our food away!!!! Fair warning STAY AWAY from this place!!! There are 2 other buffets fairly close that are way better and way friendlier, one is in Huber Heights in front of the bowling lanes on Brandt, the other is in the Air Way shopping center!!!
