Wow I am so disappointed . I read the yelp reviews. I only saw two bad yelp reviews. I suspected the two Yelpers had a beef with Asian Buffet, or one of their employees. As nether of the helpers had many reviews, or friends. Looked like they opened an account just to slam Asian Buffet. As everyone else that Yelped seamed to really enjoy Asian Buffet. And do to time restraints a buffet was best option to eat before my movie. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN! Next time I will just eat a price hot dog at the movies, or wait to eat after. I can't say I tried every thing , as most items were empty. On the buffet. And the few food items that where there, was old stale and dried out. I made a comment to the management of my disappointment. I was informed they could make me what I wanted. But sadly enough I really wanted a fresh buffet. And that appeared to be out of the realm of Asian Buffet to keep a fresh buffet. I even told the management a second chance, I would be happy to pay full price today, if he would give me vouchers to come back and try another day. Is anyone can have often and most places deserves a second chance. However that was not going to happen. Some times I just like to sample lots of dishes. If I wanted to order a meal , wait foot to be prepared and served I would of picked a restaurant not a buffet. I was lucky enough to find a pressed ham on the buffet to make a repulsive sandwich out of. I'm tired of Asian Buffet taking anymore of my time when I can be speaking pleasant thoughts about a different dining establishment. On Friday 26th around 5pm me and my daughter decided to go eat at these Asian Buffet (not the first time )so we got there waited to be seated ,they gave us a table ,we rush to the get the food ,so I grabbed some sushi some pasta and chicken on my way to the table I ate some of my sushi we sat down I ate a piece of sesame chicken which tasted weird so I looked at the chicken and there it was a ROTTEN FOOD WORM ON MY CHICKEN I took a picture asked the waitress what was it on my chicken ?! she said " :I'm sorry hold on " she went called the manager or some guy there ,he ask me what's the problem or something idk I said : CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHATS ON MY CHICKEN (this thing I pointed at it )takes a min ) He said "it's rice "(some kind of rice)I was like show me the rice ?! We went there for the first time at the end of July and were so amazed at the cleanliness and decor of the restaurant. I am disabled and while I did go through the buffet myself, the sweet waitress carried my plate back to the table twice for me! Waitresses were kind, always smiling, and the food is TERRIFIC! Went there midweek close to 9pm to meet a friend. So this could explain why some of the food was dry looking. My friend wanted a Chinese buffet with some sushi so reading all the reviews of places nearby this one had the best rating. Friendly and attentive staff made the visit better. The food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary except the pot roast. Past reviews are right, the pot roast was really good! I was surprised they had baby octopus and soft shell crab which was pretty good. Sushi isn't raw sushi...it's california rolls. At least that's all I saw that night. In the end if I want a Chinese buffet in the mesquite area that is relatively close and inexpensive I will come back and visit this place. read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I've been coming here for years, so I guess they meet my expectations for a cheap Asian buffet. I see a lot of people with piles of seafood on their plates, but I stay away from all that. I like the hibachi chicken, green beans, honey chicken, dumplings, hot and sour soup, and spring rolls. I visited" Asian Buffet" on a Tuesday for lunch. The first time I "got sick" was at 9pm that evening. I continued "getting sick" until at least 5am the next morning. I'm talking (pardon the expression) "both ends" SICK! I was dehydrated and weak for two days. I have 8+ years combined experience in the food service industry. A temperature standard in the industry for holding cooked foods is LESS THAN 41F for cold foods and GREATER THAN 140F for hot. IF the food was "at temp", it was borderline at best. It certainly wasn't hot. Some of it tasted funny. And one of the fried chicken dishes had a yellow tint throughout. I visited the buffet twice (normal is 4-5 times). I ate half of each plate. The first was unappetizing. Out of fear of getting sick, I stopped eating half way through the second (too late apparently). I even told my girlfriend that afternoon "I hope I don't get sick from the food at lunch today." I am new to town and I went there, based on the reviews here. I noticed the place looked clean (like brand new actually), but was oddly not very busy for lunch hour. I know from my experience in the industry and Food Handler's Certification and Re-Certifications that some food borne illnesses can take as long as two weeks to develop symptoms. Believe what you will, but I would never wish my experience upon ANYONE. read more

Another buffet you should try. The ad reads a wide variety of savory foods. They offer sushi which I cannot comment on. The thought of raw fish does not interests me. I'm told it is very good. There is a hibachi grill, all the Chinese your heart and stomach desires as well as American choices. Don't believe I mentioned salads and deserts. Lunch prices are $6.59-$7.59. Dinner $8.59. Children eat for less. They do have carryout priced by the pound as well as catering. The food my friends and I had was flavorful and freshly presented. After taking my sister in law to an appointment, we decided on Chinese food. Urbanspoon said that Asian Buffet only had three stars but I decided to go anyway. The location was nearby her house & right down the street to Town East Mall. Once you walk in, there's a huge koi pond & two hosts greeting you. I was shocked the food was so good for a buffet & extremely clean. I wanted to try the sushi but after two plates, I was stuffed. Such a bad restaurant. Even though we already made reservation but when we got there they still didn't set a table for us yet. And even worse they even tried to sit us at the table in the corner next to the broom on the floor while there Are still other nicer tables available. I was so upset and asked for another what the heck is she thinking? (The lady in pink clothes). Not mention about the foods. It was horrible. And while we were eating other servers was bringing out brooms, towels to clean the tables and chairs and the glasses. I ate here in the early afternoon for the first time. When I walked in, I asked to view the buffet before being seated, they said sure. Everything looked clean, and I was very impressed with what I saw. The wide variety of food was tasty and fresh, and the servers checked on me regularly and kept my drink filled. This is the 3rd time I've been there and the food has been very good. They keep the buffet full and they have an excellent selection of food. I especially like the sushi and hibachi area. There are a few items I just do not care for the taste. To me, they tasted frozen or pre-packaged. But this is just my personal tastes. My buddy had the Mongolian grill and he said it tastes like "dirt", literally. I had several chicken options and I couldn't tell the difference between sesame, hibachi, pepper. I have dined at this location several times. It use to be really good. The photos of the food are not what you will typically see on an average day. Quality has diminished in the last few years. The lobby does infact have the lovely fountain you see, and the seating area is very nice. But the food presentation is below average and the food is often mediocre in quality. Pros - It is a buffet, prices are competitive with local similar buffets. Great restaurant atmosphere and decor. Cons - Food quality has taking a hit in the last couple of years. If you want to sit in a nice place, this is for you. As a note I would give 2.5 stars if I could give a half a star. read more

I've been here a couple years ago, and decided to give it a try again. Big mistake. We where mainly looking into getting hibachi, which only had one tongue for the meats. Talk about cross contamination. When looking closer at the raw chicken the edges looked gray and dry. So we avoided that. After, the orange chicken we had where pretty dry and hard, now I know many places still serve them like this. I figured no biggie. Food was all average temperature nothing was hot enough. For dessert I tried the tangerines. The second I bit into it, taste of foul alcohol was so strong I spit it out! I let the waiter know and she said they would take care of it. She then came back a second time asking me to bring me more. I did not want any at this point and kindly denied. For the third time what seemed to be either the manager or owner came up to the table. She proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that nothing was wrong with the oranges. I told her they where tangerines, and they where fermented, I didn't mean they where old, but that they where bad. She still said I was wrong and that she opened a new can and they taste exactly the same, therefore, there was nothing wrong with them and I was wrong again! I stated I didn't taste the new can of tangerines but the ones that where already on the line and that I didn't know what the new ones tasted like. I was only doing them a favor to let them know they where spoiled and didn't want anyone else eating them and having the same experience. She said no they are not bad and walked off! DO NOT GO!!! My family and I had a horrible experience at this place on a Thursday night. It seems to be that their evening buffet is not refreshed frequently. Everything was dry as far as the rice and noodles went and all the vegetables were withered and overcooked. It took me three request to give them to bring some fresh food out. The French fries were hard and stale Pizza was not fully cooked. Once they brought the fresh food, they mixed it with the old one and ruined the new one. During the desert time my daughter even made the comment that the cookies were hard and cheap. Maybe on the weekends it's a different experiences it is more packed and they keep refreshing the food. However I will not go again. To top it all off my two children my wife and myself we paid $45. If the food had been better then the price would not have been a problem but for $10.79 each buffet we got ripped off. We were there at about 6:10 pm read more

I counted 8 free-standing buffet tables, and that's not including the one long buffet table against the wall, and the sushi and hibachi grill area. And they have egg foo young on the buffet, which is something I love. For the quality and taste of food for the price, I still feel it is about a 3 out of 5 stars overall.
