When the owner tries to overcharge you than what was on your check and try to shortchange you by $30. Food was decent, standard Chinese food offerings with sushi (skipped sushi as it looked like the items been sitting around for few hours and it wasn't been replenished). Skip the clams - found one full of dirt. I liked the lo mein and the hot and sour soup. Others were ok. One star for owner trying to scam me. The dinner was $14.59, plus tax ($0.88) came out to $15.47. If you pay by card, they charge you 3.5% processing fee (which is double what typical banks charges). The owner ran me up for $16.47 - $1 more than what was on my check. I gave $50 bill and as she proceeded to give me my change, I asked my it's $16.47 when the check says $15.47, without a word or apology, she took another dollar from the drawer. She gave me back $4.53 and said thank you. Mind you, I gave her $50... but she was moving so fast that I almost fell for her trap. Then I looked at her and she looked at me and said, oh wait, I owe you more money. Yeah lady - $30 more!! If you are paying by cash - 1) make sure your total on the register matches with your check and 2) count your change before you leave. I know $1 doesn't sound a lot, but if she's doing this to everyone during rush hours, she's making a lot of money.

In comparison to other buffets in the East Lansing, Okemos, and Lansing areas this buffet is probably one of the better ones in the area. It seemed cleaner and better maintained than the other ones in the area. They have a decent selection of food, lots of chicken options if one likes chicken. They seemed to find a lot of ways to make chicken...it was more like a chicken buffet.

it's a good place to eat since the price is cheap for a decent meal. it won't blow you away but everything tastes very good.

Contrary to someone else's experience, I enjoy the soups including hot and sour and the egg drop.

My nephew…read moretold me about this place and told me to get the dry pot, so checked the place out while visiting EL. I looked at the menu and for the dry pot, you need to select a min. of seven items from the menu. If doing dry pot, let the staff know, as there's a separate menu for it. I went with med. spice, added: squid x 2, rice noodles x 2, shrimp x 2, beef brisket x 2, pork belly x 2, baby bokchoy x 1, chinese cabbage x 1, egg plant x 1, dry tofu x 2, & enoki mushroom x 1 Yes, added a lot and it's because the menu was not helpful. Lot of the items are singular, couldn't tell if "Squid" meant 1 or 1 serving. If it was 1 serving, how many squids came in a serving? As I wasn't sure, some of them I ended up ordering two. IE: Shrimp, I got 2 orders, there were 9 or 10 shrimps... had I know 1 order was equal to 5 shrimps, I would have ordered just 1. I wish they would update their menu to reflect the topping items so the customers know how many comes in a order. My bill came out to $70, yeah, it can get expensive! It took some time to get the food... but because I ordered lot of items, the food that came out was good for 5 people :) It was good, loved the medium spice and definitely hit the spot. Oh and yes, had leftover and took it home. I thought I was going a good job of eating, but barely made dent in the plate. I brought the leftovers home and had two more meals out of it. If you are in EL area, definitely visit the place and if you go, go with friends to try other offerings. If you are solo diner and ordering dry pot, only order one item of each from the list and 7 items from the list will be plenty for one person. Three stars for now.

Lucky's is right down the street from our new place and is perfect! We ordered delivery and it was delivered quickly and was hot upon arrival; too hot to eat even right away! The food was fresh and crispy. The chicken was actual pieces of cut of chicken breast deep fried to perfection with the right amount of sauce and spice! The egg rolls were crispy, simple and perfect. And, the hot and sour soup was also spiced to perfection with great consistency, filled with mushrooms and thin bamboo shoots. So good! The delivery driver was kind and quick. My wife ordered the salmon New Orleans. She is gluten free, and our server knew the menu well, informing her about what was gluten free and what wasn't. She loved her meal. My oldest got their signature burger, and she also loved it. With the crazy low prices, huuuuuge portions (3 to go boxes), and delicious food, we will definitely be back next time we're passing through.

Funny the restaurant was named "Hong Kong"…read morebecause the theme of the cuisine is definitely Szechuan/Sichuan, quite different from the Cantonese style cuisine of Hong Kong, while the actual dishes tasted like Szechuan cuisine with reduced hotness and a bit more Cantonese details. Spicy cold plate chicken: very tender chicken slices with not too hot sauces. Could use a bit more sesame. Fish slices with preserved vegetable soup broth: Soup broth was rich with savory and sour taste of vegetables. Fish slices were a bit too thick and slightly mushy; might want to switch to another type of fish with firmer texture. Nevertheless, this dish is a bargain as it contains both a protein and a broth base (also with some rice noodles). Szechuan-style eggplants: standard. Sauce was too thick for my taste. Stir-fried spicy string beans: standard, very generous portion of minced pork and garlic adds a lot of flavor
