Grocery store freezer section quality egg roll
    Greg B.

In my continuing egg roll quest, I stopped at Asian Chef to try theirs. $1.70 each is slightly more than I want to pay for an egg roll, but if it was a good one I figured it would be worth it. Unfortunately, like so many others, Asian Chef's egg roll is grocery store freezer section quality. Absolutely not worth the money and I would not be shocked if they admitted to getting them at the Pick 'n Save across the parking lot. A complete waste of time and money and not worth ever going back to again.

Finally got to try this place I've heard so much about! It was a delightful taste of everything except the pepper steak was pretty tough. Excellent crab rangoons and lo mein. General tso wasn't very spicy as I hoped. Egg rolls on point ! Excellent Covid precautious with everything encased behind glass and a window for food as well as paying which felt like a banking drive through indoors.

Locate in the Brookfield Market Place strip of shops across from Panera. One of my go to for Asian close to where I work. Standard Chinese food you could find most places but service is fast and cooked to order. Counter service with limited seating. Again pretty much your standard menu offerings. They offer 18 different lunch specials under $6 that includes fried rice or white rice. The Kung Poa Chicken wasn't very spicy but was good. In summary it is good. They are fast and reasonable. Every time I go there I may wait 5 minutes after I order to get my food. +++++ Service (fast and friendly) ++++ Quality +++++ Value ++++ Atmosphere +++++ Location (off I94 and Moreland) easy access

Ordered take out tonight from this place. We usually LOVE their orange chicken, its soo good and we get it every time we order. Tonight we ordered chicken Lo Mein. However, we weren't that impressed. It ended up being pretty good but I've had better from other Chinese places. I liked the noodles but I think there could have been more flavor overall. It tasted some what plain, but nothing a little sweet and sour sauce couldn't fix. We also order their crab ragoon every time we go, which does not disappoint! I would say their portion sizes are very generous. Each entree we order usually feeds us for atleast 2 meals. They are always very quick with our order (we have only ever done take out). The staff is very nice. Definately recommend this place, we are regular customers and will continue to keep going.

We did the work lunch thing here and had no idea what to expect because this was a new spot for us. We placed a large order to go and the service was great, they did forget the no mushrooms in one order. Other than that they labeled every meal and organized them in a way like no other so it was a breeze getting the food to the right person. They also threw in 6 free crab Rangoon with free marked on the bag which was nice and I will get to that later. Everyone liked the food but I can only comment on what I had. I had the special combination plate of hot and spicy beef, c14. You get hot and spicy beef, chicken fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was above average with fresh ingredients that still had some crunch. The spicy beef was not very hot so I asked for extra hot and I got a side of a spicy pepper paste. The beef was good with fresh ingredient, thank you for not cooking the vegys to mush because they had the right amount of crunch. The combo fried rice is usually not very good from most places but here it was very good. Once again cooked perfect and not mushy but firm. The rice was that separate grains and not all stuck together and mushy with peas, moist fresh pieces of chicken and onion. The fried rice was very good and the fresh juicy pieces of chicken really impressed me. Crab Rangoon is something I can take or leave because it never really does anything for me. When I took the first bite I was instantly slapped across the head by how dam good it was and thought this is the best dam Crab Rangoon I have ever had. The shell was lightly crisp on the soft side with a luxurious creamy filling that just blew me away. Over all Asian chef was a winner with the quality and freshness of the food. I asked the crew if we should add them to the rotation for the Friday lunch and it's now in the rotation. Asian food is probably the third most popular ethnic style in the U.S. and Asian Chef really stands above most so we will be back. This was a great find in Brookfield. I did post pictures.

I should have eaten at Sze Chuan ages ago. I was told it was amazing. I even lived very near to it…read morein the past. It's been on my list, but I didn't go. That was an error. The restaurant is in a tucked away strip mall and is modest in size and decor. The strip mall also contains hidden treasures like a Chinese bakery/BBQ and an Asian store. We went early on a Saturday evening with friends. The service was excellent, although with some staff there were language hurdles. No matter - everyone made it work and we were left with an abundance of amazing food at a reasonable price. Wine and beers are served, as well as smoothies and other non-alcoholic drinks. BF ordered crab rangoon as a starter, which was good. He liked it more than I did, but it was nice and crispy. I just didn't think it compared to other dishes. My vegetable egg roll was very good as well, but nothing terribly unique. He went bold on the entree and ordered the pork intestine and blood cake dish. He really enjoyed it and said it was quite spicy. The portions are generous and he did bring a lot home. I ordered the homestyle tofu, which normally has pork. I got it without to make it vegetarian friendly. The textures were very good and the sauce was intensely flavorful, but mild. I also ordered a supplementary dish of braised mushrooms and Shanghai greens. Everyone at the table enjoyed this dish, particularly the greens, which are a variety of bok choy, called pac choy. The mushrooms were wonderful, with the texture of wood ears. I also had plenty of leftovers to eat the next day. Our friends ordered the Szechuan spicy pork dumplings and they got rave reviews. My cousin did say they were not overly spicy. She went on to order the sizzling black pepper beef, which she said was good, but not nearly as unique or deeply flavored as the other dishes. Her husband ordered the pork intestine with clear noodles, which he enjoyed but said was extremely spicy. He did leave a lot of sauce behind since it was so hot. He also had the ox tendon and maw in spicy sauce, which came with chopped peanuts on top. He seemed really pleased with that dish. We agreed that we would happily go back to explore the menu more. Everything was excellent and I thought the prices were generally quite reasonable, especially for the quantity of food. I do wish the menu had more descriptive text, so I could familiarize myself with the dishes. The choices are many and overwhelming and the menu is huge. I'd also love to see a symbol for vegetarian options since it's very hard to know otherwise and many of the vegetable dishes included pork or other meat. As we left the restaurant was getting increasingly busy with people waiting by the door for seats. This is a popular place for good reason.

Sze Chuan is still one of my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurants in the Milwaukee area. It seems…read morethey are always busy, but the staff also does a good job getting guests seated, managing the wait list, getting food served and tables turned without rushing the guests. The Spicy Pork Dumplings have become my go-to appetizer, and the fried spring rolls are also very good. On a most recent visit, we ordered hot pot. Our server brought us the sheet to make our selections. You can choose from mild broth, spicy broth, or half tray of each. The spicy is pretty hot with lots of red chili peppers soaking in it, so I scooped out the chili peppers to keep rhe flavor but lessen the impact on my palate. For 2 guests, I recommend choosing 3 items from the list, maybe 2 protein and one veggie or 2 veggie and one protein to start. You can order more if you finish and need more. This is in addition to the two appetizers you will choose, which is included with rhe hot pot dinner. It's a great value! Sze Chuan remains on my short list of go-to's for Chinese dining, and I look forward to my next visit, whenever that may be.

The restaurant features a menu highlighting Mandarin influences, Thai, and Japanese, along with a sushi bar and hibachi tables. There's guaranteed to be something for everyone on this menu. We come for the sushi. They always have the freshest fish - Tuna, Salmon, Sea Urchin, Surf Clam, Eel, Sweet Shrimp, Abolone - you name it, they serve it. The sushi is available as sashimi style, maki roll, or there is a giant menu of different rolls and sauces to choose from. My wife loves the Sunshine Roll (tempura Lobster), and my daughter loves the plain tuna roll. I dig the Angry Spider Roll or a Volcano Roll. Crispy oysters are hearty, with a plum dipping sauce. I honestly haven't had anything I wouldn't try again! The sushi appetizer menu itself has a collection of unique presentations that have all been amazing! Before she braved the sushi my daughter often ordered off the menu, her choices ranging from chicken tempura to the Sesame Chicken or Lo mein, and always tasty with large portions. I was happy to finish later what she could not, lol. Service is good, sometimes the weekend nights get a little hectic but they make mean drinks! Get the Zombie rum mixer, it'll get ya there. My daughter always enjoys the Japanese soda they offer, nice little treat. Saki of course and Sapporo beer, there's not much you could ask for they don't have! Great place. Parking usually not an issue as much as navigating through the lot during peak periods for what it's worth.
