Now listen here: THIS is my go to spot for Chinese food. Owners are very nice, and wow, do they fill up the takeout container! Not expensive at all, and the one entree and side can fill up a family. The restaurant itself is very cozy and now has kisoks to order from. Keep in mind, if you plan on buying from here, don't go on Tuesdays! They're closed.

2 entree combo: chicken and mushrooms, Mongolian beef and fried rice/chow mein

Is this the best Chinese food I've ever had? Not even close. But is the two entrée with a side worth $9 in their daily special? Oh yea, 100%. I got the chicken with mushrooms and Mongolian beef with half rice half noodles. The Mongolian beef was marked with 2 spicy peppers ( I think this means hot) but as a white girl with zero spice tolerance, I'm here to tell you, it's not spicy and is actually pretty good. The chicken was also juicy. I didn't like the rice, it was a too crunchy for my taste but the chow mein was good, maybe a little greasy. But you can't beat two days of lunch for $9.

I will never come back to this place. I ordered shrimp fried rice and as I opened the box and grabbed a spoon full I noticed something in the spoon. This thing looked like a small creature with legs. I immediately called them, explained what I found and asked if I could return this since I haven't even taken a bite. So I go back and ask for a refund. I show them this thing on my spoon and they mentioned it's a fish bone. Weather this was a fish bone or not at this point I just wanted my money back (which they did refund and this point it's pending). I didn't sign up for fish bones or whatever in my shrimp fried rice. That shouldn't of even been in the food, I'm almost positive there is no quality control in that kitchen. I'm definitely never coming back to this establishment.

This is the only boba in the area. While the drinks don't exceed my expectations (like Gong Cha), they're pretty good if you need a boba fix and there's a lot of options! But it's a bit overpriced for the quality. I have no idea about the food quality since I only got drinks so take my words with a grain of salt.

    Burnt potstickers.

Literally took an hour to deliver burnt pot stickers and soup.. ridiculous. My order was also missing dipping sauce for the potstickers. No one in my office will order from here and I kept ordering these two basic things, but never again. My break room smells like burnt food. Completely unacceptable to take the full hour for a basic order and bringing it burnt. I'm so disappointed. I put two stars instead of one because the staff was friendly.

First time visiting Asian Express and it was great. I ordered the orange chicken and beef with broccoli. Large portions for $6.85.

My boyfriend and I were in the area looking for somewhere to eat, and I spotted this place online…read moreand it really piqued our interest. We were previously considering Italian food but so glad we chose this place for dinner because it was soooo yummy and so cute. I absolutely would be back to try the rest of their menu (especially their wide range of Kanom Thai or Thai desserts). They also serve Japanese food upstairs and that did look yummy although we stuck to the Thai menu. The staff was great. Everything was good - we got cherry blossom/sakura flavored sake, roti mataba as an appetizer, and for entrees, the habrae empire and Khao Kang Karee Chicken. Everything we got was good and worth trying, but I definitely loved the roti mataba and would order that again. Staff was also great. Cute for a date and also delicious.

This restaurant is a combination of Thai and a Japanese izakaya. We ordered the chicken skin, pad Thai, basil chicken stir fry, tom yum, and mango sticky rice. The chicken skin and the basil chicken came out first and they were amazing! The sweet dipping sauce with the chicken skin really pulls it together. We got level 2 spicy (out of 5) for the basil chicken and it did not have a single kick of spice but it was still very yummy and flavorful. As for the other entrees, we were very disappointed. The pad Thai tasted like BBQ sauce rather than pad Thai. The seasoning was very off putting. The tom yum was good but more on the sweeter side with my friends and I were not fond of. For dessert we got mango sticky rice. The sticky rice was warm and soft, and the mangoes were sweet and tart! Great combination of both especially with the coconut.

Mama Thai was recommended to me by a coworker some time ago. I'll say it once and I'll say it…read moreagain: I will forget to turn my panties around when putting them on and wear them inside out all day, but rest assured, I will never forget a restaurant recommendation. It took me some time to visit, but I was bound to check it out eventually since it is within a short radius of the hospital where I work. Looking through the menu, I took an interest in the pineapple fried rice, mango fried rice, grilled salmon, and pad thai. Curiosity led me to the crab fried rice, which also caught my interest because of its unique appearance on the Uber Eats menu. Ultimately, I ended up ordering the pad thai with sautéed shrimp, which appealed to me as an alternative. Whether using Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because of the convenience. Most of the time, my orders are completed or nearly completed upon my arrival. By the time I arrived onsite, my order was already waiting behind the counter. Picking it up simply meant confirming my name and order, and I was well on my way. I was very fortunate to find a parking spot right outside the storefront on Madison St. It uses a pay-by-plate system, which requires you to pay either at the pay box or via the ParkOakPark App. Honestly, it is much easier to just use the pay box sitting right outside, but that's just me. Nicely presented in sustainable packaging, I wasted no time digging into the pad thai after snapping pictures of it to share on Yelp. It tasted fresh and featured a satisfying portion size of stir-fried flat rice noodles mixed with shrimp, scrambled eggs, fresh bean sprouts, sliced green onions, a wedge of lime, and finely shredded carrots on top. My very first forkful of the rice noodle stir-fry while in my kitchen was absolutely delicious. In between each bite, I swear my mouth was salivating for more, which felt like a delightful tease. With each forkful, I found myself swirling extra noodles and toppings onto my fork as my taste buds yearned for the flavors. Oh my, yes! My taste buds will surely crave the pad thai at Mama Thai's again. If you've stumbled upon my review and are open to trying new dishes on the menu, I highly recommend the pad thai! Need I say that I enjoyed my meal? I clearly indicated it in my initial review of Mama Thai. Now that we are no longer strangers, I am very open to visiting again, especially since it is within a short radius of the hospital where I work. With that said, I gladly share my endorsement with you all on Yelp. Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Food: 5 | Overall rating: 5 ~ Mindfulness & Growth. ~ Thomas G

I did think it was interesting that it was not spicy Thai basil fried rice, like I have had at other places, but ground chicken and veggies with white rice served on the side. Overall the interior was clean and well decorated, and our service was quick. My table mate was able to ask for the spicy basil dish to be "mild" which was appreciated. Prices seem reasonable for the portion sizes offered, I'm sure I'll be back.
