Simply the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I get it, Texans have no clue what real Chinese food taste like but this it the worst of Texas. As usual with the Texas Chinese food in the state it is pretty much one sauce for every dish and some tweaks for the difference. They cant even get that right. There sugar use is WAY over the top, every thing they make is constantly too sweet and just not good tasting. I have tried just about most of there dishes hoping to find one I like..... since its on the way home. Pretty sure these people have NEVER cook Asian food in there lives. Why do I say that? I ordered chow mein once there.... NO NOODLES.. I actually called them to ask WTF. I ask them to give me the definition of chow mein... (FRIED NOODLES) and they could not. As a warning if you like Americanized Chinese food and have had good Chinese (usually out of state). Stay far from this place!!! read more

I hate to give a bad review but this place needs some readjusting. I ordered general tso chicken and i don't know what exactly happened but it tasted VERY strongly of fish. The fried rice does not have the texture or taste of fried rice. All I could taste the entire time I was eating it was hints of catfish and besides that there was no flavor. I also got the beef lo mein and the only thing that made it better was that it didn't taste like seafood. It didn't have much of a flavor at all and the noodles were slimy. The egg rolls tasted exactly like the ones at Racetrac. Same exact taste and everything, infact i would be willing to bet that they're from the same provider. The portion size and wait time are the only two good things I experienced. Just make the drive to Sherman for Panda Express, don't waste your money here. read more

Their food is great! They have Chinese and Cajun. I haven't had the Cajun, but others have said it was good. I have three issues with them. The first is that the counter people don't seem to speak much English. I'm never quite sure they understand me. They do get your order correct, but look a little lost with much else. Another strange thing is that they are closer on Saturday! Who does that? The third thing is that it's not a buffet. You get only what you order. There aren't many combo plates, and one entree is large. So it's not practical to order two entrees for one person. But... the food is super good, so I do recommend it. read more

I stopped in a few minutes before noon on a Thursday. There were 3-4 other parties already seated when i walked in. A gentleman brought me a menu and took my drink order fairly quickly. About that time the small restaurant started to get fuller and fuller. My sesame chicken with fried rice, and egg roll came out surprisingly fast. It was a proper lunch portion especially considering the low price ($6.55). The food was fresh, cooked properly, and pretty tasty. I look forward to future visits to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend trying this little place out if you are in town. read more

I've tried this place 3 times and everything has a hint of crawfish each time, the first time I had something fried so I figured it was the oil but the subsequent times have been completely unrelated dishes wirh no excuse. This is an excellent Chinese restaurant. Their food is always wonderful and the portions are very generous. My only complaint is that they don't have a buffet. I really like to have a little of several dishes rather than just one. If I buy more than one thing, it's too much food even for leftovers. If you went with a group and shared several things, it would be perfect. read more

We decided to get take out on a cold rainy night and since this is the only Chinese place in Whitesboro and less than a quarter of a mile from my daughter's house we called in an order. We got a number of very delicious dishes. Crispy beef and broccoli, Singapore noodles with just chicken, Pad Thai, were all delicious. The crispy beef and broccoli were done very well, the broccoli was just quickly stir fried so it was still crisp and not over cooked. We did request the spicy dishes to be cooked mild and they were a tad spicy for us, but otherwise still eatable and good. We also got the bourbon chicken the chicken could have been cooked a bit more, it didn't seem quite done and didn't have any remarkable taste, meh! But the orange chicken was wonderful with bits of orange peel in the mix. Chicken fried rice was good and came with a couple of the dishes. We also got 6 egg rolls which were nice and crispy even after the three minute drive home and very tasty. There was a lot of food, enough for 6 of us plus left overs for lunch the next day for some of us, including a growing 12 year old boy who eats enough for two men. We think he has a hallow leg or two. The price was very reasonable. Check out the menu pictures on Yelp where it says view all 22 that is how we were able to decide what we wanted before we called. There was a tad bit of English/Chinese miscommunication but I was careful to read back exactly what we ordered and he got it right. We will definitely go back! read more

Yelp reviews were wrong this time. Chicken fried rice looked like raw chicken on top of some yellow rice. Bourbon chicken should have been labeled bourbon onions with a couple scrap pieces of chicken in it. Would not recommend. read more

Cheap prices and very quick. I tried the sesame chicken combination, and broccoli in garlic sauce. Both were really yummy! However, in the past I tried other dishes with chicken and beef that were not breaded and the texture was odd. Flavors are really good though, and you can't ask for more in a little town like Whitesboro! read more

I ordered Asian Gourmet's Szechuan Chicken for the $4.95 lunch special for the first time since they've been there. The taste of Asian Gourmet's Szechuan Chicken was not particularly noticeable. I know that folks in western Texomaland are not accustomed to five-star restaurant cuisines, and don't complain much, but I received five hammered into flat sheet pieces of chicken weighing less than 1 ounce each in the whole meal. The worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Even worse than Panda Express, because I'm sure half this crap was rotten. Even the egg rolls had a sour aftertaste, like they were going bad. The bourbon chicken looked nothing like bourbon chicken I've been eating for years. The texture was like thick tissue paper. The fried rice was not prepared properly, making it bland and the Chow Mei Fun was not good either. I stopped here on a whim and figured they'd be good since they were busy. This is the best Chinese place around the Grayson area. My 4 year old is a very picky eater but she loves coming here. We eat here all the time. The beef broccoli is the absolute best.
