Need a sushi fix and was shopping at Target. And saw a sign said sushi roll and saw Asian grill. So I check it out on yelp to see what they got. It looks good so I thought give it a try went in the waitress was very nice and give me a menu to look at. It was about 20 minutes wait time and they packed everything I needed. I'll come back again if I'm near around the area again.

Sushi and food was delicious, service was friendly, prompt! Very happy! Chill place, come dressed relaxed or nice. Anything goes.

We came on a date because I was really craving sushi. And first place that came to my mind was Asain Grill. The food here is always 10/10 foe me. We ordered tempura veggies, rainbow roll, and spicy noodle ramen. The service was so quick. We were seating, waiter got our drinks, and our food order because we were ready to eat! So we had no time to waste because we were hungry! This place is always so clean, its not noisy nor calm but its comfortable enough to have a conversation with one another.

Took us about 1 hour to get our food, not many people in the restaurant. $19 fantastic roll, not filling at all. Much better portion sizes elsewhere.

This is the most amazing sushi I've ever eaten. Every roll was mesmerizing and absolutely wonderful to eat. The staff was kind, friendly, informative and very attentive. I will no longer go anywhere else for this amazing treat. I love the atmosphere and was very happy from the time I walked in the door to the time I left. read more

Good "Americanized" sushi. Not terribly traditional, but still tastey. Very comfortable, neighborhood sushi joint. The lighting and decor suggests fancy, but the staff is friendly and does not discourage the "I just got off the clock from the construction site or farm" look. I highly recommend this place for sushi noobs. If you're a sushi snob, it's still pretty good, definately better than the local "healthy" alternative. The selection of sake, wines, and Asian made beers are good too. read more

Place has good food but a little too expensive, the tampura combo was really little not even worth ordering. And don't bother tipping your server it mostly goes to management and the chef. read more

Well to start off me and my wife has been going to the Asian grill for the past 4-6 months every time we go service is Amazing! the waitresses and waiter's Are always Friendly and super quick on bringing the food and drink's. Now To The Food All I Can Say Is WOW!!! If You Want Authentic Sushi This Is The Place To Go!!! We Had Almost Every Roll From the Cali Roll To The Fantastic Roll And Everyone We Get It Keep's Getting Better And Better!!! The Chicken And Beef Bowl's Are Amazing the veggie Pan Fried Noddle's Are Great One Of My Favorite Appetizer's Is The Crab Stick's You Gotta Try Them Out And One Thing I Cant Leave Out The Soup's Are Unbelievable!!!!!!! Even Though Its Summer Time Now Me And My Wife Always Gets The Spicy Noddle's Its Excellent. This place is just bad in general. I came from LA and tasted Japanese foods in Little Tokyo..this place is not even up to the basic standard. First, food taste ok but the food is not prepared expertly. we ordered salmon Sashimi and on the edges, some of them are OXIDIZED (brown) !!! they weren't even cut proportionately and evenly. very long and skinny...never seen sashimi cut like that, make it harder to dip into the wasabi soy sauce..that's probably why? I can cut better than that. also, when they serve the miso soup, at the very least, they should be warm to hot, but the miso soup we got is just COLD...not warm at all! Second, not much food variety. they don't even have uni/fresh oysters for the kind of expensive price they are proposing. we've been to much cheaper place that have at least fresh oyster/uni. Thirdly, the price is higher than other Japanese restaurants that has FARRR better food quality than theirs. given asian grill's food quality, the price should be CHEAPER not MORE expensive!!! Fourthly, the customer service is just average and slow. the day we went, there were just 2 or 3 other tables but the service is still slow. the waitress doesn't seem to be attentive that we are ready to pay the bill. we had to tell the seemingly guy owner who then tell the waitress that we are ready to pay the bill. Finally, the restaurant decoration is just mediocre, look like a Japanese food express. That first time is the final time we'll dine at that restaurant. read more

I have been here a few times hoping each time would change and it hasn't. I have been a chef at multiple restaurants and have noticed a few unsanitary things the cook and workers do not use gloves when handling food and who knows when the last time they washed there hands after serving multiple people and customers. The owner served our table and was very rude and obnoxious and seemed the be a bit racial and made some rude remarks towards me and a few friends. Although he thought he was kidding with us we were not playing. A few items were incorrect and had told the server and told him our ordered was placed wrong and said no we ordered the wrong thing. After eating dinner there I went to there other place of business Korean chili and that was a whole other story asked for a smoothie and ask for extra flavor knowing of course I would pay and the Asian lady working told me no she couldn't add flavored powders because she was closing soon and couldn't add extra boba either because it 8:30 and they closed at 10 not even close to be closed and had attitude and was treated rudely at both places and no gloves or proper sanitation at both places touch all the food with bare hands read more

My husband and I stopped for a bite of lunch on a Saturday afternoon. When we walked in we noticed that the music was very loud. As we sat down we noticed that not only was it rap music, but it was foul rap music with many expletives and descriptions of what one should do to women. We personally found this very offensive and we were glad we hadn't brought our children. The waiter had taken our order before the music started to cross the line, so we stayed and gritted our teeth. The waiter was quick to take our order and we were served a complimenatary salad. My husband ordered soda, which came in a can with a glass of ice. I ordered iced tea, which turned out to be instant tea- that was a huge surprise in an asian restaurant. We ordered a crunch roll which was supposed to have fried shrimp, avocado and crab. However it didn't have crab, it had Krab. Couldn't taste the avocado either, but there ws something green inside. The staff were all very happy and laughing in the kitchen playing some kind of hand game. About the time we were served, they changed the music to something instrumental and more appropriate. The best thing about this restaurant was the tempura shrimp and vegetables. They were cooked perfectly and the shrimp were very tender. We won't go back, becasue of the music and atmosphere. read more

We were all very pleased and happy with our meals. Each server was very helpful and kind . We brought home fresh croissants and the chocolate filled croissant. So delicious. We will return for crepes and many more items we were not able to try. It's worth the drive to Tulare. Only open until 2:00 PM. They do have a special dinner that you need to book in advance and it sells out, this is done about once a month.

I'm pretty sure I got the golden tiger roll. However I subbed the spicy tuna for crab meat. OMG! it was so good. Its a bit on the pricey side but I guess that's because its near the outlet about a mile and a half. The waitress was so soft spoken and I had to ask for wasabi but never had to ask for a refill. Also with two waitress my order was kinda forgotten. My mom ordered the beef bento box with the beef teriyaki. The teriyaki was more on the bulgogi side which I like, the portions on that were a bit skimpy for the $18 dollar price and no miso soup. Anyway the total came out $41.25 ish for a bento box (dinner), a roll, ice cream, hot tea and a coke. That wasn't even including tip. Its small with probably only like 10 tables. The owner is nice. the restaurant has like a tray on the side of the table kinda what you would see for pho restaurants with chopsticks and a forks (the forks made me laugh.). Portions are TINY, flavors are meh, prices are sky high. My total from the menu didn't even match the charge on the receipt (by a lot), so thanks for that surprise, and the surprise box that wasn't what we ordered (we ordered takeout). When I called back to tell them our order was wrong, the kid said we could drive back for a "portion of a refund," and I asked why they couldn't just make what we ordered instead? He said "oh yeah, I guess we can do that, it'll be ready in 15." We drive back, he tells us that they aren't supposed to remake food and that he has to pay for it from his own pocket. OKAY? Thanks for the guilt trip? Also pretty sure it's illegal for your employer to do that, but hey, we won't be back to find out. Just moved here, and this will be the first and last time we'll eat here. read more

The staff was very nice and welcoming. And the ambiance was really great. Turns out the chef was the owner, and he was kind enough to help me order. The sushi was Fan-tastic, there was such a great blend of flavors between the rolls and sauces. After a great meal (Baked Alaska Roll, and a personalized roll) the chef even gave me a complementary scoop of ice cream and miso soup. I had a great time. I live about an hour away (Fresno, and McFarland) and would gladly drive to Tulare any day... just for there Sushi. My personal rating for Asian Grill is 7 out of 7 Stars. I Loved it ^__^ read more

I placed a pickup order at 7:12 pm for a single golden tiger roll and was quoted a 30-minute wait. Arrived around 7:40 pm, but the order wasn't ready. After waiting an entire hour, until 8:12 pm, the roll was finally ready, but only after my fiancé was about to cancel. While I appreciate the offer to comp the order, the extreme delay and lack of communication were frustrating. A refund was issued, but the experience was still disappointing, especially considering the simplicity of the order. read more

Wow! The new sushi chef at Asian Grill is awesome! I went in there needing to feed a few friends on a quick take-out basis. Tony made some great suggestions to give the meal balance and variety. Preparation was very quick and presentation was eye-catching and perfect. My friends were impressed and even two days later they were still talking about how good the food from Asian Grill is! I had a really great experience at Asian Grill. The chef there really knows his stuff. If you sit at the bar, he will ask what you like and suggest some menu items based on your tates; and you are going to ENJOY eating it! The food here is amazing! The udon soup is to die for. The service was great. My son...who was nice enough to treat me to lunch...never had his drink go below half full. We got the yakisoba noodles, fried chicken bowl, seafood udon soup, fantastic roll and egg roll. All of it was wonderful and you get so much be prepared to take it togo or share! First time here and it was all i expected! Cool and tasty! I was seated quickly and staff was courteous. I started off with a cold Sapporo and a seaweed salad followed by a designer rainbow role. Nice presentation on both and the fish was good! Even got to watch some Giants Baseball while I ate, all around satisfied. I'll be back. read more

Always great food! If you want to have a real sushi-ya experience sit at the sushi bar and ask Taisho Greg for o-makase! Then share a toast with him and get ready to eat! O-makase is a great way to jump in and learn about sushi. And please try the hamachi kama!! read more

Sushi Kuu is the best in Visalia, and Asian Grill is the best in Tulare. Service is always good. Make sure to go here after 8 PM on Friday & Saturday. They are too busy. I'm a regular here since 2016. And that is my tip lol read more
