Not very often do I get Chinese food, I like it it's just something I don't eat on a regular basis. I decided to try this place after over looking it many times getting Pizza Hut next door. It is a small space with a few tables to eat at. Menu is displayed hanging from the ceiling, it is pretty huge so it is easy to read. There are many choices to choose from. When I came in, there were a few tables that look like that haven't been cleaned and only one table had customers. They weren't too busy for the inside. It did take a moment for me to be waited on but not too bad. I did wait a little over 5 minutes for my food still, not a very long wait. What do I choose? The C1 Sweet and Sour Chicken combo. The Chicken was cooked to my liking, the rice however had a few too many vegetables for my liking. I'll say I had a good dinner not great but, good. The only thing about this place is the sign at the counter in which I took a picture of. Now that is a first I have seen at any fast food place. I'm not sure how to feel about that. They do have canned soda if you don't want what they have as fountain drinks. They also have delivery. I'll have to think about coming back to this place. The food at this place is usually good when we order it to go. It arrives very fast despite ordering through door dash. The only thing I am not a fan of is the hibachi. For one it isn't hibachi and it is confusing to order but other things we have tried such as the sushi, fried rice and beef and broccoli as well as the lo mein is yummy. read more

I ordered delivery to my grandmas house. First super excited that someone actually delivers, besides just pizza. You can place your order online and add your special requests there. I added please make extra spicy. I ordered an order of crab Rangoon for my mom and I ordered the beef & broccoli bento box. Also order the hot and sour soup. They arrive after about an hour, which did seem like a super long time, but was glad I didn't have to go out of the house. Food was just room temperature by the time it was delivered. I was still pleased because the food was really great! Broccoli was super fresh and meat was good too! Rice does not have much flavor, not sure it's seasoned with pork or any other meat. I did not see any eggs or veggies in fried rice. Bento box comes with rice, entree, and sushi! Great value! And some fried shrimp treats. Save your money. Go down to Valley to Chong Garden. This was our last chance with Asian House. We wanted to love it as it's convenient. The food taste like it's old and warmed up. The orange chicken breading literally fell off the meat. It was mushy and not edible. The fried rice wasn't even good. The rice was too expanded, and bland. The chicken- so gross!! I don't know where they get their meat from, but definitely not worth it. A waste of $40, we won't be back. read more

The vegetables were drowning in the water sauce. The plain lo mein was okay at best. Honey walnut shrimp was crispy but the shrimp texture was too hard for my liking. I had a consultation for braces next door, got hungry so I had to make a visit here since I read a lot of good reviews from fellow yelpers. I ordered Kung Pao shrimp with white rice and hot &sour soup (lunch combo for $5.95). I also wanted to try out their sushi so I got an Alaskan roll for $5.45. I have to say, I like the prices, so cheap! Even though I was dining in, my food came out in a plastic container, foam plate, and to-go box. I guess the price's cheap for a reason. It's actually worked in my favor because I didn't finish all my food and ended up taking the to-go box to go. The food came out piping hot, so that's a plus. Hot and sour soup's flavor was on point, with the perfect tang to it. The Kung Pao shrimps was drowned with more veggies and peanuts than shrimps but they all tasted fresh and not oily. I like the crunch of the celeries and carrots that were part of the dish. Sushi was decent, the rice was a tad bit on the dry side for me. Overall I was very pleased. The 3 stars is from prior experience. I remember when Asian House first opened. I couldn't believe how good the food was. I recommended them to everyone I know. It's been about six months since The last time I ate there. And I decided to have a cheat day and go to my favorite Asian restaurant. I ordered their Hibachi Steak combo and crab Rangoon. When I got home with my meal I was stunned with how low their quality is now. Their fried rice was old. The "steak" was not steak. It might have been beef, but bottom of the barrel quality. The crab Rangoon was just cream cheese in old fried wontons. I mean, this place used to be the best in Louisville. I'm really hoping this was just a terrible fluke. read more

I have only had the California roll and spicy tuna roll but I will definitely give Asian house more business to try more of their food. My only complaint is the word 'spicy' seems to have diminished for most restaurants. Don't be afraid to add some peppers and spice to "spicy" items. Great sushi for the price! I got the Yum Yum roll I believe it's called, it was really great! The dumplings were incredible as well as the Sesame Chicken lunch plate. My only complaint is that I ordered "Yum Yum" sauce for my rice, I paid 55 cents for it, but never received it (I ordered delivery). Not a huge deal, but that is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Wow...where to start. My first and only visit was a DISASTER. I ordered $30 worth of food only to find out that half of my order was not available. I placed the order on their website and they made sure to call me to make sure I was coming and to verify my order, but never mentioned the out-of-stock until I reached the counter. Out of all of the options in the Dixie highway area for Asian food, this is the best! Their sushi was really good and so was the lo mein.

At the beginning this place served good food, good portion and reasonably priced, and maybe qualified for a rating of about four stars. However, the quality of food as of yesterday has declined to a rating of below one star as far as I'm concerned. About one hour after I ate my bourbon chicken I felt like I just ingested some form of sedative and could not hold my head up. And when I finally came around I was running to the bathroom. SO bottom line, this restaurant is of my list. The chicken was hard and it did not quite taste like chicken (loaded with some form of sugary sauce). The egg roll was greasy as it was soaked all night in fat, and the fried rice was very dry as if it was left uncovered on the counter then reheated up. The person who took my order could not speak English and someone else had to come and finish taking my order. That said, I'm done eating at this place and will surely tell my friends about my experience. Less that one star.... read more
