We stopped in today to pickup a late lunch, I was able to place my order online which made the process really easy. I had the option to pay in advance or in store, and received a confirmation text after ordering. Food was ready quickly, we picked up about 15 minutes after it was ordered. Very friendly staff at pickup. It's a small restaurant next to a dry cleaners in a corner lot. There were a few people dining in when we arrived. We ordered the sichuan spicy wontons (6.75), crab Rangoon (6.55), chicken Chow mei fun (11.95) and general Tso chicken lunch with soup (9.95). Do not sleep on the sichuan spicy wontons, they were delicious and the portion size was great. We also loved the chow mei fun, really great flavor and portion. The crab Rangoon was okay, could see the imitation crab inside and not too creamy. We didn't love fried rice with the chicken - it was a bit bland. It's been a while since we were here and since we were in the area we decided to stop and get lunch. The service is exceptional and as soon as you walk in they are ready to take your order. They have a very simple menu with the most popular choices at a reasonable price. I chose the shrimp with vegetables, fried rice and an egg roll. But it is the first time someone on the phone has blurted out my entire credit card number out loud while attending to folks in the shop..... Not okay. Not okay at all. I asked for him not to and he just started yelling at me to tell him which card number it is then yelled out the entire card number... So a while back, my brother and I went to Oriental Café when he first arrived in Louisville to stay with me I was a little skeptical because I had never been and the previous restaurant that was at that spot was not great, but however, all of the food that we received from Oriental Café it was absolutely fantastic ice I highly recommend that you go and try them out. The staff was nice and while the insides may be a little small, I think that they are renovating as well to make it larger for some sit because there are some tables. Their food is delicious, fresh and ohhhh soooo tasty! Whether you try their Chinese American dishes or more authentic ones, you can't go wrong. Also, I've been ordering from them for over 5 years now and they've never gotten my order wrong whether the food was delivered or I picked it up myself. Now, that's saying something about how much they truly value their customers. For a Chinese place, their sushi is also surprisingly delicious! The sushi rice is always seasoned well and they're not skimpy on the fish or other ingredients in their rolls and nigiri. I love their crazy roll, veggie roll, and yum yum roll -- all top tier compared to some of the more expensive places around here. As for what I usually get, their veggie teriyaki noodles, kung pao chicken (extra spicy) with egg fried rice, and delectable crab rangoon never fail. When I feel like eating "healthier", I'll order their broccoli (chopped small) in garlic sauce with added green onion and some steamed rice on the side. So flavorful! Finally, their customer service is 5 stars all day long! From the folks at the counter, to their wonderful delivery driver Shaun, to the chefs in the back working their magic, they are some of the nicest, friendliest and caring people you'll ever meet in the restaurant biz. For example, they ran out of a very minor ingredient in my fried rice and the owners were going to refund me an amount OVER the actual cost of the extra ingredient because they felt bad for the inconvenience which I assure you was non-existent. They told me right away that they ran out of the ingredient vs just charging me and having me discover after I had gotten home to eat it, that it was missing in the first place. Some places would have been that dishonest knowing that I probably wouldn't have driven all the way back after being charged for a missing item. The Crunch Munch and rice were delicious and hit the spot (I didn't eat any of the other roll as it was my friends, he liked it though). The sushi here is fresh and delicious. I have tried several sushi places and this one has my vote. For a couple of reasons. They have half price sushi on Wednesday. For a fat kid like me who like food. I usually get about 5 rolls for half the price. Why not. Now I don't eat them all at once. I rake some home. Getting in and out of this place is like playing "Frogger" you may get run over a couple of times and or get hit. It's one of the worse places to get in and out. I think they would have a better customer coming and going if it was and or had a better access. If you ever find this place you will know what I mean. Always ask for Yumm Yumm sauce it's makes them delicious to dip in other than the soy sauce. Can't say that the dine in experience is at all there. The decor is dated and needs a little update. Over the years, I find I am less and less pleased with the food. The curry chicken and Singapore noodles have very little spice or seasoning. I have my own yellow curry powder, sriracha, gocujang, mirin, etc.., so I add flavor as soon as it's delivered. Gen Tso's chicken is hit or miss now, and the sauces on the other dishes turn super watery within hours, so leftovers aren't that good anymore. The potstickers are no longer pan fried, but put in the deep fryer. Service onsite is still great and delivery fast and orders accurate. Ugh, how I do not like to downgrade a restaurant's rating. But after being disappointed for the third time, I will not hold back. They really need to taste some of their own creations, especially the chow mei fun. It has been so salty we have thrown away most of it, twice. Their Pad Thai is bad in a whole new way: its flavor is distinctly too vinegary and too sugary at the same time. The noodles are also over-soaked and broken into little pieces. Although my picture of shrimp w pea pods looks good, it did not taste good. The brown goopy sauce overwhelmed everything. I ate the shrimp and threw the rest away. Their sushi is still decent. I really wish yelp would give 1/2 star options. My experience was 3.5 stars. I got it delivered at work. My coworkers seemed to enjoy their options( general tso's chicken). Decided to give Oriental Café try because every time I drive by it's always crowded, and usually that means the food is good. Due to COVID-19 I ordered to go. I ordered a small shrimp fried rice and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was really good and hot and they give you the red sauce to that they put on the sweet and sour chicken to dip it in. It was fresh and fried just right. The shrimp fried rice was okay. I don't like a lot of onions in my rice and the onions were cut in big pieces and I didn't like that. The shrimp was nice sizes, just wish I could've got more. I will definitely go back for the crab rangoon. read more
