I really want to give this restaurant more stars but the customer service was beyond disappointing. While most of the food was better than most Chinese restaurants we got general gaus chicken as was recommended because it had big chunks of white meat. Once we received this dish we cut each piece open to find close to no chicken inside all of the batter and sauce. The waiter was great but when he went to go get whoever was in charge he came out without her but with the bit of information that she would take $11 off of our bill except the chicken was 11.50. I'm not sure what they were trying to prove with the $.50 but it was bad business. She insisted we try it without the batter and my friend said OK but that was almost as bad because the chicken tasted like rubber. They up charged us five dollars for that kind of chicken so we still ended up paying more than we should have for food that wasn't even good. It probably wouldn't of bothered me if they cared more and apologized but they stood by their gross chicken. read more

I have been coming here for years when they began in a little location. Its great to see how they have grown into a larger location. Myself and family come here once a week for sushi and some Chinese food. I've never had anything bad and everything is always fresh. The only thing that's a downside is parking. Postponing our traditional Christmas dinner while visiting family led us to Asian Imperial on Christmas night. Not thinking it would be packed, we were surprised when the parking lot was full and most tables were taken! We were able to be seated quickly, and our server was prompt and attentive. The General Gao's Chicken was my favorite dish ordered, I would suggest this. Also enjoyed was the Vegetable Lo Mein, done well. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was very different from what I was used to. No spice at all and a very light sauce. Not bad, just not my favorite. The Pu Pu Platter was shared among the table and the crab rangoon and egg rolls were what I liked best. We were a table of 4 and ordered far too much food (eyes bigger than our stomachs) but we had leftovers for a couple days. This place does your typical Americanized Chinese food well. The staff has always been very good to us. The dining area is simplistic yet modern and done well. I find the booths and lighting to be comfortable and it has always been clean. The sushi is better than some other locations in the area, although it's not going to compare to the quality you'll find in densely Asian populated areas such as Hawaii. We gave you endless chances and tried to train you but you just didn't work out. The fact that you only lasted a few months is testimony to the fact that being a server is not for everyone. You have expressed that your only true love is dancing and riding your bicycle across country. Well we at Asian Imp wish you the best in your future endeavors. However since your not working there an longer and evidently want revenge in some form for being terminated we hope that you go into a field that is better suited for you. A place where you will be happy to be at work. A place where you will take pride in your job and your personal appearance. I take pride at working at Asian imperial and so do all the other employees. They all maintain personal cleanliness and appearance standard and that is what we want our employees to do. In your rant you forget to say you were given many chances to improve, trained again and again and even let you go at your own pace to see if you could make it. As far as the restaurant itself, we had our inspection in the past 2 weeks by the Town of Lunenburg and the Nashoba Board of Health and passed with flying colors. You know that there has never been raw food placed on the floor as you mentioned. We have never been fined or cited by the board of health. We do prepare all the food in the restaurant from scratch with the exception of the furtune cookies. We take deep pride in our success over the last 10 years and our we vow to maintain the high quality standards for food, employees, servers and bartenders. Our record with the town, and the state make us proud of what we have worked so hard for. One thing about Asian Imperial, the owners are available anytime for any customer to talk with. We will custom cook any of our food to try and please their taste buds. We also encourage our customers to talk to us about our food and staff. But in your case we could not keep you from all the complaints we received. Once again don't try to ruin a successful business with successful employees and great customers because of your own inability to make the grade with us. As far as we are concerned we only wish you the best in your future endeavors dancing, and hope your have a safe journey on your bicycle across this great country. read more

Always my go to sushi restaurant when I'm in town. The sushi rice is excellent. Lots of interesting sushi roll choices but also the classics. Sushi anyone? I absolutely love Asian Imperial Garden. I go all the time, mostly for the sushi and drinks. They have both Chinese and Japanesse food both very good. But the sushi is amazing and very fresh! They have cheap drinks that are strong too! Good atmosphere, not too big, but will accomidate big parties. They do get very busy now and then and the serice can be very slow, that is why I didnt give them 5 stars. read more

For such a small place it is great we just love the food here and can not stop going it has become our go to place at the end of the week we are working our way through the menu and have tried a lot all has been great so far I just don't think there is going to be anything we are not going to like the place was recommended by a friend and I am so glad they did try it I am sure you will like it the menu is not to expensive and it can get loud on a Friday but all in all it is a good place. read more

This place is amazing. Usually I go for the wonderful sushi, but the Chinese food here is seriously top notch- never leaves you feeling gross and sluggish like other places. We have never had a bartender or server who wasn't 100% attentive and friendly. The only reason I dropped a star is because of the parking. We planned all week to go here on date night and there was no where to park. We ended up getting takeout and when I went inside to get it I saw empty tables and open spots at the bar... Asian Imperial has a wide selection of food options (including several vegetarian options which is think I plus!) and it's affordable. Customer service is pretty decent as well. Only downsides I've experienced there - is on a busy night, parking sucks - small and congested parking area right off a busy intersection; and on a couple occasions I have gotten sick after eating there - not sure I can blame that entirely on the food, at this point I will go back again - but if it happens again, not sure I can chalk it up to a coincidence. But definitely a good option for Chinese/Japanese in this area! read more

I spent years looking for good Asian cuisine in Central Massachusetts. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere.

Food was good. I'm a regular customer so service isn't usually a problem. But that night, our waitress was extremely rude towards the end of our meal. She handed us the check and says a minute later, "hey, do you mind paying." I came with 3 other people so we were trying to split the check amongst ourselves because the bill was pretty big. She kept coming to the table and rolled her eyes when we weren't ready. Then we saw her openly point her finger at us from across the room, complaining about us to her co-workers with an ugly expression plastered on her face. We had the check for less than 5 minutes! As soon as she saw us pull out cash, she comes back to the table WITH HER COAT on and asks, "done yet?" I would have tipped her well over 20% if she just kept her bad attitude in check. I talked to one of the people I believed to be one of the managers up front about her rudeness. He apologized and told me not to ask for her when I come back next time. That perhaps she was in a rush to catch her train back home to Boston. Okay? That doesn't make up for her rude and disrespectful attitude. They should fire people like that. And I don't feel like going back to a place that supports that kind of service to their customers. read more

Ever since they moved to their new building the food has seriously changed. Not sure if they hired a new chef or kitchen crew but the food I've had there recently is tasteless and definitely not the Asian Imperial I used to go to frequently BECAUSE of the superb quality. I'm very disappointed to say the least... this also happened with one of my other favorites in town China Wonder... I'm not sure if it's a trend but I miss my flavorful chicken and broccoli along with my perfectly sweet now bland and watery tofu. :-( Two thumbs down I'm afraid. read more

Food is great, I used to eat here once a week until I ordered delivery to my home for the first time, I failed to pen in a tip for the driver (due to delivery charge) and he helped himself to $5 of my money by penning in his own tip. I brought this to the attention of the owners and they treated me like I was trying to steal from them!
