If it was possible, we would leave zero stars. We had an Uber delivery order. Our Egg Drop, and Won Ton soup were the only things edible. The Egg Foo Young was burnt, and the gravy was black, and congealed, not gravy. The Lo Mein tasted as if it had sat on the stove for three days, and heated. The egg rolls were also burnt. The Fried Rice was tasteless, and smelled like old grease. The noodles (you know the ones you put in your soup were stale). The Pork Spare Ribs were tough, and were swimming in red grease. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager about out food, and was told all their food was made "fresh." Nope, it arrived too fast! This is the first time we've never had leftover Chinese food, as I threw it all out, $65 worth. As I was throwing out the food, I realized I should have taken pictures. Rookie mistake. Giving 3 stars is a stretch but it was not super awful here and there are probably some people who will like it here, sorry but I am not one of them. The board they put in front of the front desk to separate the cashier from the customers is very off putting. The crab Rangoons tasted like miracle whip with some kind of red dots in it. I suggest a hard pass. The chicken and broccoli was so plain, with very little taste. Not much sauce, which you need a little but this was even less than that. I was wanting Chinese takeout and following Yelp I tried Asian Kitchen. I placed my order over the phone. It was ready when I got there. The portions are huge- I got boneless ribs and a bourbon chicken combo. Combos come with rice and an eggroll. Boneless ribs are my gauge of a chinese takeout and these were the BEST I'd had while living in FL. The chicken had the right amount of seasoning, the rice was moist and the eggroll was crisp and full of ingredients. I had enough food for 3 dinners. There is ample parking in the lot in front. This is a true Chinese takeout restaurant located in the Publix shopping plaza. I ordered a fried rice and lo mein to go. The fried rice was extra salty and the lo mein had no salt at all. I'll start this review with the disclaimer that this isn't my "home" Chinese restaurant but rather a place close to my office that I've visited for lunch a couple time. I only say that because I've had just one type of dish from here versus a variety of items that someone would usually order for home delivery. I've ordered from here a couple times, online. The online ordering states to allow 20 minutes for your food to be ready but it's usually even faster. They call as soon as the food is ready for pickup so you can get it nice and hot. They are tucked in between petco & publix in a busy shopping plaza so sometimes it can be tough to find parking close by. The food tastes very fresh and full of flavor; so much so that for the first time eating Chinese noodles I didn't feel compelled to add soy sauce. My go to dish is pork mei fun. If you've never had it, you should give it a try! It's like pork fried rice except with thin rice NOODLES instead. So yummy. (See picture) I do wish they had a fountain soda machine but I'm guessing the majority of their business is takeout or delivery so why bother. read more

As previous writers have mentioned, the bourbon chicken is very tender. But I have a gripe on several levels. First, after the food was consumed all of us (my guests included) just were so thirsty. We concluded that food was just was too salty. Secondly, she wouldn't give me an estimate of how much food a dish would feed and we ordered way too much - yes, that's as much my fault as it is theirs; 3rd we wanted bourbon chicken with broccoli, an easy request in my mind. At first she was reluctant to do this but then relented and gave us two broccoli stems per bourbon dish (we ordered four), not a lot of broccoli. She didn't want to give us a separate plate of broccoli (I'd have gladly paid for this). I just wasn't impressed with the service. Easily one of the best "fast food" Chinese spots in this area. Hibachi options is a big plus as well, comes with a really good yummy sauce. We have been here several times and never really had a bad meal or choice option. Pricey but what isn't anymore.. plus you will usually have a good leftover amount. Service is easy too. Hands down the best Chinese food takeout I have discovered since moving to Palm Harbor. Reading a bad review prompted me to post this. Don't let that negative nelly allow to pass by this restaurant. First of all the "air filters" were the tall stand up fans. Not sure what's so wrong with that but I stopped reading that review and decided to post my own. Their lunch specials are 5.95 and for the amount of food that you get, it's really a steal! You get to choose between a can drink or egg roll and I opted for the egg roll. I've been to Asian kitchen a handful of times so it's about time that I write a review. For starters I've eaten at the restaurant and have done take out and had the same great experience. For the dine in experience I went with 5 other people. We were seated immediately of course, and the woman working (I'm assuming the owner) was very pleasant thanking us for our arrival. She brought over a small fan for us even though it wasn't terribly hot in the restaurant itself. After ordering our food it wasn't brought out all at once, but when it was ready, which was ok because we were all sharing anyway. The food was delicious and the presentation was spot on. Also, the restaurant is clean, and the pictures of food aren't faded as you would normally see elsewhere. Shows me that they care about their store and products. For the take out experience, definitely one of the faster Chinese takeouts I've had. My food has been ready in as fast as 7 minutes, and never takes longer than 12. The food is always piping hot, and very flavorful. I tried a few other restaurants before finding Asian kitchen, and the flavors were very "cookie cutter". There is something different about the sauces at Asian kitchen that provide a nice depth to the food. I have had a variety of dishes there and nothing has disappointed yet. If I had to find one thing to complain about, it would be that the normal side of fried rice isn't too flavorful, and consists of only the rice and bean sprouts. Other fried rice dishes are good. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a great customer service experience and delicious Chinese takeout. read more

Nothing fancy, just quick, good Chinese takeout! There are some tables for dining there and I'm sure I will do so some time. Staff very friendly and more than happy to tell you about any of their menu items. This is my third time ordering takeout. I previously had the Beef with Broccoli which was flavorful and cooked perfectly with tender beef and slightly crunchy broccoli. Last night I thoroughly enjoyed Pork Egg Foo Young and my spousal unit had the Teriyaki Steak and Jumbo Shrimp which looked very good. I like having a good, reliably consistent place like Asian Kitchen in the neighborhood. Whoa boy! I really wanted this place to be good. It is close to my house and the last Chinese place that was in the same space was horrible. Well guess what? This restaurant is no better. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken. Got home to enjoy my meal and, oh no! Could not eat it. The meat was an odd brown color and it was so tough, I spent calories trying to naw at it. Rice tasted like bouillion cubes, yuk! What was supposed to be sauce over the chicken (which I had to dig for) , was more of a brown gel-like substance. Very nasty. I gagged while trying to eat it.
